Great place to watch NBA final but it’s very loud.

Probably the most underrated bar in Manhattan, great beer specials, recently renovated and fantastic ambience. Only trouble is the beers sell out too quickly

Went on the 15th of September 2019 for the BABYMETAL after party. The atmosphere was great. The people were amazing.

This has become my favorite bar in New York, I don't normally write reviews but I feel compelled to do so. Everytime I walk in Nadine magically knows what I'm about to drink and Liane is always warm and friendly. The atmosphere is perfect with good music, but it isn't so loud you can't talk. It's always a good time at Flight, unless it's not.

This was my first time in New York area and I was looking for a sports bar to watch UFC 268. I found this spot by walking around the block and I have to say it's hospitality and customer service is excellent. I highly recommend anyone around the area stop by here and have a drink👍

Great drink/shot deals here, and seating is often available. The tables have paper and crayons so you can let out your inner child, and the staff is really responsive, especially for a place that's pretty cheap. I would not choose this place for a celebration but it's perfect for a casual bar visit.

Enjoyed the drinks (Juan Daily), good sports bar with good food. The Nacho Supreme was enough to snack on for 3-4 people.

The bartender Killian is legit. If you go here and he's there he is one of the chillest guys I've ever met. Atmosphere was quiet but it was Wednesday. Drinks were a fair price and Killian mixes like a toy company trying to sell toys to kids. 10/10 would recommend.

The owner is the absolute man. Helped my older parents who were in town to get to the front of bathroom line during the Santacon crowd. Put the Michigan game on for us as well. Really fun vibe at the bar. Five stars, would recommend

I love this place. Affordable, friendly, unpretentious and laid back. One of the only places of its kind left still standing. The food is absolutely great for the price, they always have great deals on drinks and it’s always a fun environment to be in. I used to come here a lot more when my office was across the street - i truly miss this gem. If you live/work nearby, this place will quickly become your go-to spot. First time i ever had MEATLOAF at the bar lol and it was damn good! Literally the only place in the world where i would order meatloaf at a bar. Love Flight 151

Great local bar and one of my favorites in Chelsea. Some tourists but mostly locals whom all know one another. It's a great bar for sports and casual drinks but it's definitely not a typical sports bar as the clientele is varies. Bar is also very LGBTQ friendly 👍 Staff is super friendly and make great drinks 🍸

One a busy Saturday afternoon Shaffer's was busy!! This was my first time there, and It was absolutely brilliant! No long wait for beer and the staff members were very friendly!..I sat at the bar, had good beer and observed the food being served, all looked great! I was highly impressed with the wait staff! They were excellent 👏! The bartenders were fast, efficient and constantly made eye contact with the patrons (important) and the immediate area! The room was busy and management was present and hands on! It was a great time!!! You can't go wrong with Shaffer's! Check it out!!!

My family drove from Philadelphia Pa. to find out this gem in the city. The service and staff and the quality of the food was very good. But it wasn't just that the staff welcome us like family with open arms of friendship that comes from love. This bar has the most friendliest atmosphere in the city of New York!!. Visiting NYC from MN and stumbled upon this hidden gem! I would definitely recommend checking it out and would return again for sure! Fun little dive bar and really good food. The service was great from the moment we walked inside. The staff was very friendly and the owner was amazing. We chatted with him for awhile and he definitely made our night! Thank you!

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Good beer selection and nice range of games on tv. Didn’t order food but saw some other people eating and it looked good! Everyone working their was friendly and quick to make sure you had everything you needed.

Food was amazing and exactly what I’ve been craving. My friend and I had wings, chicken tenders, fries, and beers. I WILL be back for the wings and fries. A generous serving of wings and the fries were perfectly salted. The ketchup was a welcomed addition but not necessary to enjoy it. The servers and bartenders were also friendly and food was prompt. Would come again! Also loved the playlist the whole time. Nothing but bops/classics!

One of the best sports I’ve been to in the city. It was packed when we walked in, but Shaffer, the owner, happily found us a table where we could see the game we were interested in. I love Shaffer's for being a non pretentious neighborhood bar. It is my go to place, when I am visiting my old colleagues in Chelsea. We can hear conversations without having to scream and enjoy our pints of good choices of drafts on tap. Didn't order food. One of these days, will have to try their food menu.

Came here to watch the NBA game with some friends, and Mr. Shaffer himself took care of us. He made sure the ladies had a seat and found us a table to enjoy our food and have a good view of the game. The bartenders were very attentive, especially for how busy the bar was. The food was actually pretty decent as well. not overly priced for bar food either. This is now one of my go-to bars to watch sports in this area!

Getting ready to watch a Knicks game in a local NY bar! It’s Wednesday night, packed, $4 Miller Lite, loud enthusiastic locals, what else can I ask for?

Just standard bar food but its really good. Can get a little loud, wish they would turn the music down but otherwise its a great casual neighborhood bar, cheap, staff is friendly, shows most games.

Food is solid! I wish you would put the Buffalo chicken wrap on the delivery menu!! 🙏🙏

A pub to walk in mod day and have a quiet drink. Unless it's on the weekend you better arrive early and ve ready to yell your order .

"THE" PLACE to watch PITT games in NYC. Only can give 4 out of 5 because food & drink service was slow, but that was because of all the PITT Alumni watching the game. Support staff (e.g. runners, stock keepers) were hustling to keep up. Need to give these folks credit.

Great dive bar right around the corner from the elite nightclubs in Meatpacking. Drinks are cold and cheap. The bartenders are friendly and the place is clean. I've never had the food but it seems to be pretty popular with my friends. I swing by about once a month for a beer.

Food was good, plenty of tv’s, service great. It was just super loud. Not people loud but tv & commercials loud.

Fun place for a quick drink while catching my UD Flyers on multiple screens. Looking forward to a few more watch parties here. $10 vodka cranberry, pricey for happy hour. Cheaper are beers and house wine. Friendly staff & plenty of room to spread out with your team's fans in the back.

Nice rustic and basic place, although it's fairly small. Service is good, and prices vary from good for beer to a little pricy for mixed drinks. Ok beer selection though, and a fairly calm atmosphere, at least on weeknights. Mixed drinks are made pretty well.

Bar with a divey, relaxed feel without the grimy interior common to so many dive bars. Respectable beer & drink selection (low/basic-to-mid scale quality) and great prices. Good venue for casual drinks with friends or after work, etc. Flight 151 is conveniently located near a ton of food places and subways.

Great place to watch college football with a loud but vibrant atmosphere on the weekends. Drinks came at a good pace given the crowded bar, and bartenders were friendly and gracious in a post college but sometimes fratty environment.

Very comfortable place, Bartenders were super solid, friendly handled football crowd rush expertly. Delicious burger and fries. One star off as the Bloody mary was tiny.

I have it on good authority that the fish and chips are the best in Chelsea

Found this place by accident on a quick trip to NYC from Buffalo. Waitress on her third day really made this a great experience. We have two kids, 9 and 12, and we walked in at 8:00pm. We knew it was our kind of place with the paper and crayons on the tables. But it is still a bar, and the food was really well made. Make sure you use the restroom and listen to the recording!

Awesome place for a drink after work with co workers. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is cozy and chill. Food is good but usually you might have to wait longer for the food to arrive to your table especially on busy nights. Prices are decent for the area. Overall great place for anyone that likes a low key bar/restaurant.

I stumbled upon this little sports bar and decided to stick around to catch a football game. It does get pretty packed, but they also have outdoor seating with TVs, which is a nice touch if you want to watch from outside. The atmosphere is super chill and I really liked the overall vibe. I only ordered a snack—the mozzarella chips—and they were delicious. I’d definitely come back for brunch if I’m in the area again or on game day.

We came here because we were around the area and I was craving wings… well until we realized the place I wanted to come closed lol but it was still a bar and the server who was outside politely told us it changed and that the new cocktails were name after the pandemic which I thought was hilarious! 🤣🤣 We ordered nachos and an impossible burger. The drinks were cold and you can tell they clean those tabs, that angry orchard was crispy af!!! The food however was VERY salty like A LOT!! We didn’t finished our food buuuut something made it like that, I mean it wasn’t bad it was just salty. I really wanna come back and change that review.

Good place, nice atmosphere, the reason for the 3 stars is because I went there on a pretty hot day last week, it was really hot outside and they didn't have an AC, the door/window was completely open and I couldn't bear the heat.

NEW MANAGEMENT as of 2018 I go here for food, not for drinks since i live in the neighborhood. Kitchen menu is VERY different. Burger is so much more smaller, there's no longer a full steak, and other changes. They do have some awesome buffalo nows, 20 piece is def worth it!

This place used to be better and had better food. Now it's like a bar which is too noisy and the food is meh. I used to love their nachos but it was a disappointment the last time I went there after the change. They have great staff though.

The food is decent, the service, at least on my visit wasn't good. Also if there is a game on, it gets really loud and obnoxious. The loud and obnoxious is understandable, it is a sports bar after all. The service, however isn't understandable.

Fun spot! My sister and I wandered over towards Chelsea thinking we'd run into all sorts of spots along the way (especially seeing as oh we went from Times Square down). And we kept walking and walking... no luck. And then we happened upon Flight 151 by chance. Very fun place. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was a decent sized crowd without being uncomfortably packed. We liked the butcher paper with crayons, that provided lots of bar table amusement for a Friday evening. I really liked the flight attendant like track playing in the bathroom -- very appropriately in theme. I've heard the food for bar food is really quite good here, although I can't speak to that personally. Fun atmosphere though in keeping with the theme. Thumbs up.

I can't believe I haven't rated this before. Objectively, this bar is nothing special, but I love it. We used to come here several times a week after work and it's still a place in the neighborhood I meet up with old work friends from those days. The drink specials aren't as good as they used to be (they used to have $3 rolling rock pints) and they have tried to go a little upscale. But it's still a great time.

We stopped into this place on our way to meatpacking and enjoyed the $6 wells. The waiters were friendly and attentive. We didn't order food but it smelled great. Not sure if o liked the flight attendant track in the restroom though...

Was great until the super loud tvs came on speaker and we had to leave, as many other reviews have mentioned- would have loved to stay, but truly can’t understand why one would want to have such loud speakers, very unpleasant.

This place is always packed but I was finally able to snag a booth on a Wednesday evening for a few drinks. Decent margaritas, OK wine selection and reasonable prices. They have drink specials each night and Wednesdays you'll get select shots at low prices. The hot dogs (yes, hot dogs) are pretty delicious.

Went there twice and the second time was an even worse experience than before . waited and hour and a half for a burger I couldn't eat because it had hair and looked thrown together. My friend ordered a beer after being ignored by the bartender (blonde hair female) for 30 minutes. Then went to order a second d round n got ignored for another 30-40 minutes ...funny thing is it was only 6 people at the bar . horrible place horrible bartenders horrible service horrible experience never going back!!!

One of the most racist establishments that I’ve been to within the Chelsea area. If you are black or POC, I would highly advise not to enter into this establishment. The person working the door was rude, abrasive and said if you don’t have a reservation I can’t help you. This was before he said hello.

One of the owners of shaffers called a potential Black patron of his establishment the N-word. The owner was visibly inebriated and under the influence of Alcohol. Said person had just finished their shift working for the next door Dispensary and wanted to simply have an after hour drink. The person had never EVER interacted with the owner prior and was just trying to enter the bar after working an 8 to 10 hour shift to simply unwine before departing home. Said person was not ignorant , irate, or disrespectfull to the business at hand. They did not attempt to put themselves in a situation to experience this harsh and ugly racist encounter. Having seen this encounter first hand, I could see the level of how hurt and uncomfortable they felt. The owner barely knew this person and felt comfortable enough to use the N-word as a white person against an individual they barely knew or interacted with. This business has a culture that is not welcoming to people of color , specifically Black people. AS AN OWNER OF AN ESTABLISHMENT OR A PERSON OF UPPER MANAGEMENT, they is a level of decorum you are suppose to have when interacting with potential new guest or PEOPLE YOU DONT KNOW! I am disgusted by this account still because Ik this individual and will leave their name of out this in respect of their privacy. Please do better as a business.

Changed owners. Rebranded to a bar targeting a different crowd than pre-covid. The heart and soul of the bar is gone and the prices have went up. Used to be a dive bar. Now it’s pricey and tries to be a sports bar with the the paint scheme of a place girls go to for brunch.

Hands down the worst bar I’ve been to in NYC thus far. Bouncer allowed multiple people in without checking IDs or vax cards. Bartender didn’t ask for a card for our tab and then the manager accused us of trying to steal drinks. We waited for 45 minutes for our next round, and when we asked about the wait, the manager turned confrontational. There are so many good sports bars across Manhattan, don’t waste your time or money on this establishment.

I asked for a well done hamburger with bacon, lettuce and pickles. The first time I received my food, it was topped with a hefty amount of American cheese which I don't eat, personal preference and fresh onions, which I don't like another personal preference. I sent it back, then the second time around, my burger was still topped with same onions I had asked to be removed. Choosing not to cause a scene, I just removed said onions. Now I'm way past lit and ready to enjoy my burger, EXCEPT when I sliced it in half my well done burger was very well pink. That was it for me. THE END! But the drinks were so so good so thumbs up for that👍🏾👍🏾

Walked in , tried to get a table and my friend was physically assaulted because we didn’t see him checking IDs hiding behind a booth . Unbelievable situation and the bouncer wouldn’t apologize and even told me a very inappropriate statement . For your safety stay away . When we walked inside it also spelled like mold and there was spilled alcohol all over the floor .
