The 5 stars is for my drink. My peach green tea with 100% sugar was very good. Wasn't too sweet either. Prices are in the higher end. I would give customer service 3 stars. The young spanish guy with the long puffy hair spoke so low it was hard to understand anything. He definitely could have been more welcoming.

I don’t usually care about fries but these were actually so good. Like… unexpectedly elite. Menu is refreshingly simple: Simple or Double. That’s it. No overthinking, no nonsense. One burger is genuinely filling (which is rare for NYC). Great price for New York, ketchup is provided (I would appreciate more options), and they give you free stickers, which automatically bumps the vibe. Solid 8/10 for me — would absolutely go back.

My husband and I visited while on vacation in NYC and I’m still thinking about this burger! We loved it so much we went back a second time. The burger is cooked fresh and is so juicy with a super soft bun. Absolutely delicious!! The fries were also fresh and had just the right amount of seasoning. Love this place!

Best affordable burgers in nyc, I enjoyed the double cheeseburger with the house sauce. There are two different sauces to choose from the house sauce which is their mayo based sauce and classic ketchup & mustard. I'd reccomend getting the double since its perfect bread to meat ratio if you want to get full! Be sure to get extra hs on the side! *Even better its customizable for people with dietary restrictions if you don't like or want something you can take it out*

Okay, I loved the food here! I happened to just discover this place on accident, looking up nearby spots to eat by Irving Plaza as I went to a show there later. I liked how affordable the food was. I tried the single burger but wish I had the double! It was very flavorful, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The fries were amazing too, nice & crispy! The service was super fast & friendly; they had everything ready to go. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite!

This is smashburger value and quality at it's finest. They serve up super solid classic smash burgers—and quick. Quicker than when Lucifer fell from heaven. The fries are super solid as well—shaped like Mciddys fries, but with real substance, actual crisp, and leagues better. The smashburger sauce though... I could bathe in it.

One of the best smash burgers I have ever tried. The place have no chairs or tables, that can be a problem in a rainy days for example. The staff was ok, probably tired in the end of the day, but nothing wrong happened. You should try this if you are in New York!

It’s a tiny spot but the staff are very organized. There is a self service kiosk that was down and a webcam to view people at the original smashy’s. Anyhow I loved both the burger and the fries I purchased the single with cheese. The house sauce is tasty. I like that they were not heavy on the sauce. The fries are nicely seasoned with a little paprika. Not too much salt. Give it a try when you are in union square

So good i had two!. Got the double smash with the special sauce and it was DELICIOUS, cheese melts good and its creamy. The restaurant is nice and small come in pick up your order and leave. There is standing room but i got it to go. This is a great burger spot to test out and currently at $6.99 its the best deal around. I recommend coming here, you will enjoy!

The flavours are banger, the little crust on the patty, everything just blends together perfectly 🍔 the service was great, super friendly staff and ridiculously quick to get the food out. I spotted this place a couple of months ago and finally had the opportunity to taste it. The burger is absolutely delicious, so well seasoned, so tasty. Do yourself a favor and ask for the house burger, it comes with an amazing sauce that taste like Mac sauce. The order was ready in less than 5 minutes. Fries were also deliciously seasoned and they serve you a lot. Prices are very affordable compare to other smash burgers. This places has been added to my favorite smash burgers in NYC. Note there is no place to sit, so is grab and go, or eat standing.

Its my new favorite burger joint. You can get 2 burgers and add on the fries for $14! Thats the price for one burger with fries included at the other fast food places. Everything was cooked fresh. The burgers are $5 each and the fries are $3. The food was very good. The presentation was good. The cashier was very friendly. I got that smashy sticker for leaving this review. I'd go back to this place whenever I'm in Union Square.

The burger was good! Juicy and delicious. Staff was not friendly at all. The place is nice but I think the vibe could be better. It’s a great location, staff just need to be gentle and friendly. Smile guys. I know it’s not easy work in a restaurant, deal with people but if you’re there, do your best. We go for the food and the service. Doesn’t matter if it’s a fancy place or not. Amazing food and value for the money! As a born and raised NY’er, nowadays you rarely see this good of pricing for quality burgers and fries. You have the option of a Classic or House Single Burger or Double Cheeseburger (Classic is Ketchup and Mustard and House is a Mayo Blend). Single is $4.99 and Double is $6.99. The double is the way to go! The wait is minimal and the burgers are TASTY! Honestly, they’re close if not better than Shake Shack and 7th Street Burger and much more affordable. The service and kindness of the staff is also so rare here in NYC. A shoutout to the kind cashier who helped us during our first visit (young lady on Saturday afternoon, 7/26) and to Terrance for checking up on every customer eating there to ensure their visit was going well and if they needed anything. I actually thanked him because you rarely see this happen - Terrance: keep it up! You’re awesome! Out of all the countless smash burger options, make this your first choice. To the owners of this establishment: you guys are doing great and we hope to continuously visit so please keep the prices this low and the service high, and you’ll do amazingly well! I’m very impressed.

Great addition to the area! The staff is friendly and attentive and the smashed burgers are affordable and delicious. I opted for the double cheese burger with their house sauce. It’s a mayo based sauce that works well with the burger. The fries are equally great and were thin and crispy. Shout out to Terrance for making our visit memorable. 10/10

I came across this food spot on my way home after hooping, and the delicious aroma coming from the kitchen immediately caught my attention. I was already hungry, so I decided to stop in. As I walked in, I noticed how clean and well-kept everything was—the counters, fridges, walls, and especially the grill were all spotless and sanitized. My order came out quickly, just minutes after I placed it.I got two burgers—one cheeseburger and one double. They were a little greasy, but in a good way that made each bite juicy and flavorful. The cheese helped lock in that juiciness, and the seasoning was on point with a nice, balanced texture. The sauce and fresh veggies added an extra layer of excitement to every bite.What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff made me feel welcome right away, even before I got my food. They were friendly, respectful, and full of charisma. I even shared a few laughs with the cashier and some of the workers behind the counter, which made the whole vibe of the place feel even better.I definitely recommend this spot to bring your loved ones and check it out.

Decent bubble tea, although i ordered 25% sugar and it tasted more like 75% imo. I didn't mind, but in a city like NY this ain't gonna cut it. Doesn't make my top 5 bubble tea list

I wanted to give a 5 star because it’s my favorite boba place in NYC as it’s my favorite brand and milk tea flavor in Taiwan and in mainland China (under another name). The golden bubble milk tea is my favorite and the only drink I order for 98% of the time (because I’m a bubble tea lover and not so much keen on other kinds of drinks) but I can’t give it a 5 star because the bubbles are totally different than the ones in Taiwan and mainland China (they have big bubbles and mini bubbles for you to choose, you can choose either one or both of them together in one single drink and they are free as toppings), but this store here only has medium-size golden bubbles and they are relatively hard to chew. I sometimes only wanna have big chewy bubbles and sometimes only wanna have mini bubbles, and sometimes wish to have them together. (I might be a little picky and specific at one thing sometimes, but I think I can give some opinions as a bubble tea lover since I’ve tried countless bubble tea shops all the way from 10+ years ago. ) The golden bubbles might be the only thing I don’t like in this store, but this only thing is one of the most important factors when I decide which store I buy bubble tea from. The golden bubbles as the only option for bubbles are awkwardly in the middle for the size in my opinion. They are also hard and firm to chew, which I don’t like very much. Although the flavor of the milk tea is absolutely my favorite and is the same as the flavor back home (and is the reason I still come here very often), sometimes I have to choose other bubble tea shops because they have either bigger and softer (but still chewy at the same time) bubbles or they offer the option of the mini bubbles! This is a thing that I feel pity and sad about and is preventing me from fully enjoy the bubble milk tea. If they can offer the same bubbles as the ones in Taiwan and mainland China, then it would complete my wish and satisfaction! It would then truly feel like home!! The difference in the bubbles is the only but very important aspect for me (and maybe for a lot of other customers as well) when choosing a place for bubble tea. I asked one of the staff before if they were gonna have bigger and smaller bubbles as the way in Taiwan, their response was kinda vague and said they will see how the market is and decide later. I’m not sure if they have made a decision yet or had enough observation and analysis from customers. But if they are gonna have the new bubble options as I wished, I’m sure it will MAKE MY DAY and I’ll come more often instead of switching to other boba places for boba variations. P.S. I’ve included a photo of the fiftylan bubble teas I bought in Taiwan for anyone who don’t know what I’m talking about. The left one only has mini bubbles and the right one has both big bubbles and mini bubbles. I still wanna give you guys a thumbs up because I think you are still doing a great job and maintaining great qualities of your products and the cleanliness of both of your stores in NY!

This is actually a 3.5 star review rounded up to 4. The milk tea is decent. It has tea flavor. However what they're known for is their golden boba but their boba is so hard that it is difficult to finish the drink. It seems like it isn't fully cooked because you can see the starch on the inside of the golden boba and it is more translucent on the outside of the boba. If this is their recipe, then they should let corporate know that that is not a good recipe. The boba tastes way too hard! Not tasty at all! It's also bland. They might need to change the receipe to soak it in honey or something if the name is golden boba. I definitely would not get the milk tea with the golden boba. I hope they do something about their boba so that it can be better so they can continue to stay in business because I support small businesses especially if it's something they can fix.

Fifty Lan is my favorite bubble tea in Taiwan, I ordered a Golden Oolong Tea with boba. Golden Oolong Tea is tasty, and boba too. I gave it 4 stars because of the boba. The boba size should be large size of boba, not medium size. Very pity After more than two years, I finally got to enjoy 50 Lan again! This time, I skipped the milk tea and went for just the tea 🍵. Thanks to a Thanksgiving promotion, I got a free topping of pearls with my large drink—such a small joy! The Golden Oolong was as reliable as ever, with a rich aroma and a subtle aftertaste that really deserves to be savored. ✨ As for the pearls, there’s still a bit of disappointment. The texture didn’t quite match the chewy, QQ experience of Taiwan’s boba. Next time, I’ll probably just stick to the tea for a more satisfying experience!

Good for the price and what it is - super simple burgers, bigger than a snack but not enough for a full meal. Classic and house are both great, house just uses more of a mayo based sauce. Fries taste like McDonald’s fries. 3 burgers and 1 fries same out to just over $20 which is pretty amazing in NYC. Favorite smash burger is still NADC!

Smashy 42 Union Square East New York, NY 10003 Single House Cheeseburger French Fries The menu is very limited and simple; you are in the perfect spot if you are craving a burger and fries. The order was ready within seconds; it was identical to the scene with Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) receiving his bagged meal in The Founder. Although the burger has a scrawny appearance, it was very tasty. I was a huge fan of their secret sauce. The fries are also a hit; the seasonings add a terrific flavor. Regrettably, the seating area is not the greatest. It is a narrow hallway with minimal standing room; I recommend getting your order to go. During my visit, the cashier never gave me a paper receipt and I found out I was overcharged. (When I reached out to management the following day, I was promptly refunded.) Waited about 15 mins to get my order. Average bubble tea place. Mango green tea macchiato is good. Dense sweet foam that is not cheesy and tea is quite refreshing. Might revisit to try their milk tea and bubbles.

I tried their signature Golden Bubble Milk Tea and a Bubble Ice Cream Milk Tea. No big difference between two, just one added an ice cream at the BOTTOM! ( I thought it will be an ice cream topping) Well, adding the ice cream just made the milk tea sweeter but nothing much special. The golden bubble pearl taste good and chewy, I really like it. But the milk tea is just ok. I probably won’t come and buy the second time since there are lots of bubble tea choice in New York and this brand didn’t impressed me a lot.

Cool looking spot, pretty solid tea but not the best boba in the city. I got the brown sugar boba tea and compared to other spots which only sell brown sugar milk, here you can get the brown sugar tea. However, the boba was hard almost pebble like. There are better places in the city…

Came here with 2 people, got 3 drinks. All of them tasted watered down and just bland. Also, this is a personal preference, but eating konjac jelly in diluted lychee yakult makes me feel like i’m a sad child in england eating jellied eels. For good boba, go to literally any other place in the area.

I got the oolong tea with bubbles. tea tasted like water on water in water with watered water 🙂 the bubbles were fine but they didn’t have much flavor either. I got 25% sugar because usually it’s too sweet, but apparently this place uses sugar to pretend like there’s flavor.. nice workers tho 😇 but not paying $7 for this sorry -interior nice and clean, just wish the trash cans were on the floor and not on the counter
