Midtown strip house is literally epic! If you like an amazing restaurant with an elegant yet edgy design look no further! This place has it all! Great food, service, and the sexy vibe that’s classy and perfect for that fun night out, or grab a bite to eat/drink after a long day. Check them out asap
My friend and I had a pleasant experience at Strip House Steakhouse after a Broadway show. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were kindly allowed to wait in the foyer, which was a nice touch. Our reservation was for 4:00 PM, and we were promptly seated right on time. Our drinks and appetizers were taken quickly, but it took over 30 minutes for them to arrive. I had the crab cake, which was flavorful and well-prepared. For dinner, I ordered the twin lobster tails. They were delicious and cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the filet mignon butterflied and topped Oscar-style, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The steak was tender and cooked to her liking. We shared the creamed spinach and a loaded baked potato. The sides were underwhelming—not terrible, but not particularly memorable compared to the main courses. We both ordered French martinis, and they were very strong—definitely heavy on the pour. Depending on your preference, that could be a plus! Our waiter was great, and we enjoyed our meal and the convenience of dining here after the show. With a little improvement in timing and sides, it would be an even better experience.
Hubby and I came for an early Valentine’s dinner and we had a blast! Special shoutout to our server, Buffy. After I tasted the steak, I joked that she might need to bring tissues for my tears of joy. A few min later, she brought these nice red napkins for me. Perfect experience start to finish! Plus - my husband says to get the martini with the blue cheese olives!
Our experience at Strip House Steakhouse on 44th Street in Manhattan was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the general manager, Sophia, whose hospitality set the tone for the evening. Our server, Sean, was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making sure every detail of our meal was perfect. The food was outstanding, with perfectly cooked steaks and sides that were just as memorable. The impeccable service and genuinely welcoming atmosphere made the night unforgettable. We can’t wait to return! Happyguy !!!
Another perfect meal. The atmosphere is everything you could want in a quiet enjoyable dinner for two. The food some of the best I've ever had. The lobster bisque is always amazing the stakes are perfectly cooked the service is impeccable.
Came here during the restaurant week. Everything from food, service, and ambiance was amazing! Shoutout to the appetizer, gnocchi carbonara was one of the best pasta I’ve ever had. The chocolate layer cake was good but I expected something more. The quality of the meat was superb. All in satisfying portion, including the complimentary bread. Inside the space was dimmed with siren-red light which reminded you of the glam of the roaring twenties. An old school flamboyan twist and intimate. Might be not the taste for everyone, but it’s a classic vibe.
the food was EXCELLENT. of course the steaks are what they’re known for but the miso glazed sea bass, the tuna tar tar, and the bacon appetizer were all off the charts. you can’t go wrong with any of the side choices either. definitely recommend the chocolate cake and the oreo cheesecake for dessert!! Emily was our server and she was so attentive, knowledgeable, and kind!
Yasmina at the bar was an amazing mixologist. She knows how to make a proper adult beverage. Excellent recommendations as well. Make sure to get the special house Old Fashioned! Emily our server was so pleasant & very attentive, she also made some excellent recommendations including the side sauces / butter that made a great steak even more delicious! The ambiance was relaxed. Food came out perfectly timed. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection!
Very nice, cozy place in New York. We walked into the restaurant on Christmas Eve, expecting it to be busy, but the lovely ladies at the reception found us a table quickly. We got one of the couches, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The restaurants' walls were decorated with photos of burlesque, which explains the name. Our servers were super friendly and helpful. Since we weren't super hungry, we ordered a rib-eye steak to share with crispy potatoes baked in duck fat, spinach, and sprouts. A bottle of red Barolo fit really well. We liked it very much, so we're giving it a warm recommendation.
My first time at Striphouse and it was great! First, we had a great, comfy booth (Not sure how we landed that because there were only two of us, but we’ll take it!). Ordered the 8oz filet, was seasoned and cooked to perfection (Medium Rare). We had the Mac and cheese as a side which was good, but it could have been hotter. Cocktails were perfect and we concluded the evening with that AMAZING 24-layer chocolate cake! Overall, great experience and will definitely be back!
Very good steak house, could walk in with no booking. Got the NY strip..now the best steak I've had in my life was at keens a few years ago where we got the fillet and the 21 aged rib eye, and this wasn't on that level. It is still very very good though. The crust on this is spectacular, the meat was nice but not melt in your mouth tender. But perhaps thats the cut. Next time I'll try a closer cut and redo this review! In either case - this is a seriously good steak.
Their truffle spinach is amazing!! The porterhouse steak is quite enough for two people to feel full. Their extremely large 24 layer signature chocolate cake was a little disappointing though. Not as rich as I expected, and a little too sweet for my taste. I tried both this Strip House Steakhouse and the one downtown, and this place was much noisier and busier.
Travelled from Canada in November, and we are STILL talking about this restaurant. Can't wait to go back. Our server was AMAZING (young man with tattoos). The interior and atmosphere were very burlesque. The food was delicious and timely - the filet mignon was one of the best steaks I have ever had. I also had the best cocktail I have ever had, called Blowin' Smoke. Our only regret is not having tried the chocolate cake. Very memorable experience - highly recommend!
We visited the Strip House twice during our three night trip. Night one we were more than impressed, obviously since we returned so soon. Drinks were fantastic. Service was exceptional. Our waiter went above and beyond for us, even recommending things to do in the area. We got our food in a timely manner. Overall great experience. Sides are a sharing size. The cake is to die for.
The Strip House (Midtown Location) Our recent visit to The Strip House (Midtown) was nothing short of spectacular—one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. It was a guys’ night out with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while, so we decided to splurge on an unforgettable dinner. With Chef Larry in the kitchen, we were in for an incredible experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with a round of Old Fashioned, expertly crafted with top-notch bourbon, setting the tone for the night. As we moved into appetizers, our waiter Sean—who had an impressive knowledge of wines—helped us select a beautiful Napa Valley Cabernet that paired perfectly with the starters Chef Larry recommended. Appetizers: • Tuna Tartare w/ Black Tobiko Caviar – Fresh, light, and packed with flavor. • Strip House Roasted Bacon – Thick, smoky, and perfectly caramelized. • Bufala Burrata w/ Toast – Creamy, rich, and a must-try. • Brussels Sprouts – Charred to perfection with just the right amount of crunch. For the main course, we went all in with the Bone-in KC Strip and DA Ribeye, both cooked to a flawless medium-rare. The steaks had a perfect sear on the outside, a juicy pink center, and were seasoned just right. At Chef Larry’s suggestion, we tried the béarnaise and au poivre sauces—both fantastic additions to the already mouthwatering steaks. Sides to Share: • Lobster Mac & Cheese – Decadent, creamy, and packed with tender lobster. • Black Truffle Creamed Spinach – Rich and indulgent, with just the right amount of truffle. • 1000-Layer Goose Fat Potatoes – Crisp, buttery, and utterly addictive. • Charred Broccoli – A perfectly smoky and flavorful balance to the richer dishes. Sean continued to guide us through the meal, suggesting another exquisite Napa Valley Cabernet to accompany our steaks. His service was exceptional—always there when we needed him but never intrusive. What truly made the night special was the personal touch from Chef Larry, who checked on us multiple times, ensuring everything was just right. He even took a moment to sit with us for a photo and some laughs, making the experience feel personal and memorable. To cap off the evening, we indulged in two show-stopping desserts: • Strip House Signature 24-Layer Chocolate Cake – A rich, chocolate lover’s dream. • Bananas Foster Baked Alaska – A visually stunning, caramelized delight. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get better, Angela, the Assistant General Manager, stopped by to introduce herself and generously offered us a complimentary after-dinner drink. She poured us a smooth Balvenie Scotch, the perfect way to end an already extraordinary meal. This was my first visit to The Strip House, but it certainly won’t be my last. The service was impeccable, the food was phenomenal, and the hospitality exceeded five stars. I can’t wait to go back!
Old school NY steakhouse. Steak was Pittsburg style with perfect temperature. Truffle creamed spinach was delicious. Service was attentive and the famous 24 layer chocolate cake. Was very good. Not the best o ever had but for sure worth trying. Surprising not very rich. Was a wonderful stop.
From the staff to the food, we had the porterhouse steak for 2, asparagus , baconed pastrami , and 1000 layer potatoes. Each more delicious than the next. Delicious , and well worth the prices

Great food. Great service and NYC best Bartender. Jonathan. Spectacular martinis and wines by the glass. Steak appetizers fab.
Thomas was wonderful. He, legit, curated our entire meal. From entire selections to wine pairings, Thomas was fantastic. \n\nThe food was amazing and the supporting cast did not disappoint.
A little bit expensive, but worth it. Their steaks are unbelievable juicy and delicious, their cream spinach is unique and don't leave without trying their outstanding cheesecake.

Updated Review as of Feb 7th Friday dinner, exactly a week after our Girl's Night Out dinner: My girl's night the other Friday was so perfect that I had to come back last night for an early Valentines Day dinner and treat my husband. I raved how good everything was last Friday so needless to say, expectations were set pretty high. First off, we arrived like 25 mins. early last night and they seated us immediately. Also gave us the best booth overlooking a glimpse of the action below. Terrence was great, thank you! Buffy immediately greeted me and recognized me from last week and said Alyssa would be taking care of us. Alyssa was INCREDIBLE! Honestly without her super warm and attentive service, this updated review may have been lower than a 4. Alyssa was definitely above 5 out of 5. Thank you so very much, Alyssa. Truly one of the very best we encountered living here in NYC! Started off with a glass of Rose Cremant from Alsace while my husband had a 9 oz Argentinian Malbec. Both great. Bread and butter comes and it was yum, thanks for the additional pretzels! We also enjoyed the bacon appetizer, perfect with that honey mustard dip. The French Onion soup arrived but noticeably smaller size and a different bowl/container and not as cheesy and good from last week, that's okay. But the reason wht this isn't a repeat 5-star from last week is because the Wagyu Steak Frites is where it fell flat. My husband's medium preference came out medium rare and my supposedly medium rare felt rare. That and it lacked salt. Like they seemed to have forgotten to put salt. I ordered an au poivre sauce and even with it, it couldnt compensate for it being underseasoned. My husband was trying to get some salt from the pretzels to put in his steak. He specifically asked me to not complain or ask for salt to not offend or be seen as wanting to be comp'd. So I ate 65% and was asked if I wanted it to go and I just said no it's okay. So I'm not sure what happened in the kitchen. I actually felt somehow bad because my husband said, you said it was really good. Oh well. Too bad I couldn't control the consistency in taste and quality of the steak, right. ;) Desserts came and we were excited for our 12 layer chocolate cakes. But we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious Cheesecake too. We ended up finishing it and taking the chocolate cake slices home. Still tasted divine when we enjoyed it today. Will emphasize that I'm still a big fan and especially commend the team and the service esp. Alyssa, Buffy, Terrence etc. I just wish the Wagyu steak wasn't a let down last night.

We ordered the porterhouse, but it was cold, dry, and didn't taste good at all. The flavor was disappointing, definitely not worth the price we paid, and I wouldn't come back.

Our steaks were amazing, but as a working class person who saved to afford a nice dinner, it felt like I wasn’t wanted there. The employees hovered near our table (we were the only ones seated in that area) and kept asking if we wanted them to take our plates while we were still eating. We were dressed nice, had a reservation, tipped. It would’ve been a nice time if we hadn’t felt watched and like outcasts.
Classic steakhouse vibe with some red details and pictures of "stripping" woman at the wall (to fit their name..). The steak was decent, but not more than other steaks I've had before. The porterhouse was tender, but not very juicy or super rich in its flavour. The menu said that the meat was for two, but it was rather for three. The black truffle creamed spinach was a nice side. I also had their famous chocolate cake. It was very big. Moist. But not the rich chocolate flavour I'd hoped. Some nutty tones.

Good atmosphere. Good food. (will NOT be back at their midtown location) The reason for 2 stars is poor service. I understand it might vary from waiter to waiter but I can only judge by the service given to us. No bread offered - while other tables around us were getting bread. My son didn’t get his plate and silverware until asked for it, even as food was served. Our steak with sides arrived 1 1/2 hours after we were seated, and we didn’t have any appetizers or salads. While tables around us had their food served promptly, we were sitting waiting. Once the food finally came out, it was COLD. The steak was luke warm and all the sides were literally room temperature (cold). Truffle butter on steak was missing, although it was added to the bill. Again, atmosphere was good and food tasted good but service was non existent for our table.
Took a last minute reservation on OpenTable for restaurant week. I'm here for business and wanted a meal next to my hotel, which was Strip house. I got a 745 reservation. I got there at 740 and there was no host to welcome me at the desk. I patiently waited for 5-8 mins and finally I flagged the bar back and grabbed the host. After being finally being seated. No one acknowledged me or or brought me water. The server didn't come until maybe 5 mins after... mind you the restaurant was empty. After that, service was fine. I got my meal at a decent pace and their price for restaurant week for a 3 course meal was $60.
