TorolocoNYC is amazing! I had such a great experience here. The food was fresh and flavorful, the drinks were on point, and the vibe was perfect for a night out. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming, and the décor adds to the whole experience. Went after a well needed travel day, had the Alambres and it was amazing , it was so delicious and flavorful, also ordered the corn which comes off or on the cob. I was a fan that there was an option for that. Definitely would return , the outside view definitely does not do the sizing inside justice .

Absolutely amazing! The cheese jalapeños fries were a stand out. Good flavourful food. I loved the atmosphere- the deco was on point. This is how Mexican food is meant to be cooked! There’s one thing I’m sure about now and it’s that I’m “Loco” for more.

Arsenio and Ryan were impeccable! I came with my wife after a long day of work, tired and frustrated. All of that went away when the frozen margarita and swirl were brought to the table. Very well taken care of and as for the nachos, TO DIE FOR!!

The churros were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. Bring your friends and have fun!

We tried the coco loco cocktail and it was super interesting and delicious and creamy. It had coconut flakes which was interesting and helped the flavor. Really large ice cube though that takes away from the amount of cocktail, but still decent for price.

This is maybe one of the best mexican places that I’ve tried. The food was so flavorful. The waiters were polite and responsive. The environment was fun but a bit dark. The lighting could be better. I had the nachos toro loco and Birria Torta. It was amazing. The nachos was full of toppings and very tasty. I snapped a photo after I ate everything so I’m attaching an empty plate :))

From the outside - restaurant seems small and common. But when I got inside - totally different vibe. Music was great, service was excellent and the food was impressive. Will return and bring others. Had the guacamole - nice! Street Mexican corn - favorite and the steak tacos...wish they were more then 3 but healthy serving and veery good.

We came here for dinner and the food, drinks music and service were great! The vibe was great and the prices, especially for the area for how good everything was ...chefs kiss. Highly recommend the cheese crust steak tacos! We also had the spicy guac...which was definitely spicy! 🔥 and we also ordered the chimichangas which was yummy 😋 Will definitely come back and would recommend to anyone. You wont be disappointed.

Exactly what we expected. Delicious food. Great lunch special. We got little taste-test soups that will be on the menu this winter. It was a tasty chicken taco soup. Not too spicy at all.

We stumbled upon this place because we didn’t want to wait in the huge line for the brunch place across the street, but had absolutely no regrets. The corn esquites and birria taco were our favourites. Everything was delicious and quick. The service was attentive and kind. We’ll definitely be back!

Party of 3 we each had the corn and 2 tacos each plus a side order of Guac with chips. The corn was delicious the guac was super fresh and tasty....the tacos were awesome I had shrimp and a fried fish. I dont eat meat but my friend do and they had the burrito taco. They were in awe of the flavors. So much so that they each ordered another. These are 2 women that watch what they eat to maintain a nice figure. Long story short....EAT HERE AND HAVE THE BIRRIA TACOS. Dont be fooled by the appearance of the restaurant. Its very good

Cool spot for a casual group lunch -- if you're not paying attention, you'll walk right by. Service was attentive, friendly, and helpful in deciding what to order. The esquites and all of our tacos were delicious, including the seafood ones. Space is definitely industrial but adds to the charm.

I don’t give 5 stars often to restaurants, but dang this was phenomenal. Service was so kind, fast, and delicious. I had the Baja Crispy Fish and it was delicious. It’s cod with mayo, cabbage and pico de gallo. Orange soda was also great. I ordered 4 tacos for $30. The staff is also super friendly and quick. I’ll be back

The guacamole with chips was Amazing! The other 2 sauces that came with it are DELISH! It is a MUST appetizer. We had Tacos 🌮- Both Al Pastor & chicken we really good! (I added the green sauce from the appetizer on my tacos) Our waiter was great. My 2nd time here. Overall loved it and would highly recommend and definitely come again. 👏🏽

I can’t really hate on this place too much because the food is actually good. The only reason why people feel indifferent is because it’s a bit pricy for what it is and feels like a gentrification indicator for a neighborhood. That aside, the tacos are quite delicious. The Fish Tacos would be my recommendation. The Al Pastor was good, but you can find better al pastor in NYC. The Chips and Guacamole are good. You can find their branded chips in Whole Foods for about $7. They do taste very, very good though. Now, not gonna lie, the rice and beans are incredible here. Perfectly salted and flavored. Do not miss ordering these, it’s the hallmark of a good Mexican restaurant.

I don't know how many superlatives I can use to describe my love for the steak burrito here. It's my favorite place to drop by for a quick dinner. The ambience is nice and servers are great.

This restaurant may have had the funnest vibe and aesthetic out of all the restaurants we went to. You feel like you are in a street alley in Mexico, as vetted by my Mexican friend. However, the good things somewhat stop there. The food was definitely delicious but for the price and portion I was surprised. My burrito with ribeye from the famous Pat LaFrieda meat purveyors was maybe 5% meat and 90% potato. For the price I’d definitely hope for more. Regardless the vibes of the place were really cool, I just wish the price for the food was more justified.

The food was absolutely delicious, full of great flavor. I ordered the 'very spicy' quesadillas, but unfortunately they weren’t spicy at all. The interior is original and nicely designed, although I missed some Latin music to match the atmosphere—instead, they were playing American tunes. Overall, a good place to eat and enjoy a meal.

A very nice, simple, yet delicious Mexican restaurant. The location and decor were really to my liking and fit the whole theme perfectly. The food was plentiful but tasty and the service was lightning fast. All the dishes were super fresh tasting and light except the burritas which stood out as the only heavy and somewhat dry dish in the bunch and could benefit from some sort of sauce. The tacos and quesadillas on the other hand were really very good and I would happily come back to try the rest of them.

I walked in with my husband got seated and then ignored for about 15 minutes. We ordered without menus but then was ignored again for the rest of the night. All the other tables around us had water. This place was incredibly disappointing. For this price point, one would believe they are getting good food but they’d be sadly mistaken. I made the mistake of ordering them online, they forgot the one thing that made me want to order in the first place. The two tacos I did get ( Birria and fish) were incredibly disappointing and tasteless. Avoid at all costs.

Very strange experience, we walked in and the staff just stared at us without saying anything. There was probably only five people dining at the time we walked in so being busy wasn't a problem for them. I asked do we have a seat and again nothing. We started to walk the long way out to leave and a waiter finally said have a seat here, here or there. We painfully sat down and opted to order only two tacos as the experience was so strange already. We ordered two tacos Crispy Chicken Tinga and Al Pastor, both were regrettably dry. We would never return or suggest this place.
