⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Temple Court is a total gem near the Fulton Transit Center. The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the team makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The service matched the ambiance; the staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I ordered from the prix-fixe menu, choosing the Ricotta Cavatelli and the Roasted Cod. Both were executed perfectly—hats off to the chef. While the portions were on the smaller side (typical for Restaurant Week), the quality was outstanding. I am definitely planning to return for a full dining experience soon. Thank you Temple Court. Great is your Artform.
Great vibe. Good food, portions aren’t the biggest. Chocolate chip cookie was phenomenal.
I’ll admit it—I’m a serious aesthetics-first person. For me, food always comes second to beauty. That’s why, on one of the coldest New Year days in New York, I traveled all the way from NJ just to step into the nine-story atrium of Temple Court. To be honest, what stopped me in my tracks wasn’t the menu—it was the architecture itself. The atrium is truly breathtaking. The nine-story vertical space naturally draws your eyes upward. During the day, soft daylight pours in from above; at night, warm lighting illuminates the lace-like iron railings layer by layer. It feels quiet yet dramatic at the same time. This isn’t a space dressed up to “look good,” nor does it have that lightweight, artificial Instagram feel—it’s simply how the building was meant to be. And that authenticity really moved me. Thankfully, the food lives up to the setting. Service was consistently polite and perfectly paced—classic, old-school New York professionalism. We ordered the beef tartare, tuna sandwich, and a latte, and everything was solid and comforting. The only small complaint: the chips served with the tartare were a bit too salty for my taste—but honestly, that’s a minor detail. I still loved the experience and would absolutely come back for dinner. One unexpected highlight: the restroom on the lower level. Yes, the restroom. From the lighting to the materials, it beautifully echoes the design language of the atrium above. It’s the kind of detail that makes you realize this is a hotel that cares not only about what you see—but also about everything else. To sum it up: At Temple Court, dining is just the surface experience. What truly stays with you is how architecture, service, and thoughtful details come together seamlessly. Highly recommended—especially for a proper sit-down dinner.
We went for Christmas dinner. They had a prix fixe menu for dinner. It was a 4 course dinner. All excellent choices. The ambiance was excellent. The hotel and restaurant add a touch of class that is like no other. We are interested in trying their à la carte menu, next time when in the city.
We had a great food experience at Temple Court. All dishes were perfectly made, and the atmosphere was great. The restaurant is very nice and chic. The only downside was that we had to wait 45 min to be seated even with a reservation, but they comped our drinks at the end, so it was well managed by the staff. Would 100% recommend
Visiting NY for the weekend we had lunch here at the bar. Oysters are one of my favorites and I will order them whenever I see them on the menu. The East Coast oysters (Long Island) at this place are by far my favorite I have ever had!!! Still thinking about them days later. Burger and Eggs benedict were fantastic and the Old Fashioned drinks were also top notch. The ambiance was beautiful with live music. A great place to take a break and reset before heading back out to continue exploring the city. Highly recommend.
Temple Court at The Beekman is a true New York dining treasure. We started with the Mushroom à la Grecque and Burrata, both beautifully balanced and flavorful. For mains, the Roasted Salmon was crisp and delicate, while the Braised Lamb Shoulder was rich, tender, and deeply satisfying—both paired wonderfully with a Michele Perillo Taurasi 2010. Dessert was a perfect duet of Panna Cotta and Almond Financier, elevated further by a glass of H&H 15 Year Old Madeira. Attentive service and the stunning Beekman setting made the evening unforgettable.
Came for restaurant week. Solid but not incredible. The meat and salmon was cook to perfection but the polenta side was nearly unexistent. The chocolate dessert was the most disappointing of all ( and we paid q7$ extra for it). The decor is grandiose and cosy at the same time. Good service. Good but too expensive cocktails.
Worth the Wait… If You Have the Patience Temple Court is the spot everyone tells you to check out, and honestly, they’re not wrong. Located inside the Beekman Hotel, It’s a total NYC staple with jaw-dropping architecture and atmosphere. Walking in feels like stepping into a movie set—grand, bustling, and packed with a true melting pot of diners: tourists, after-work locals, and people who just look like they belong on the scene. THE WAIT I came without a reservation (rookie move, I know) and, not surprisingly, had a long wait for a table. It’s NYC, so you roll with it, but bring a good attitude (and maybe a snack in your bag) because it’s gonna be a while. THE BAR The bar is a show in itself. Imagine bartenders furiously shaking craft cocktails while you’re basically auditioning for their attention. You’ll need to make strong eye contact, wave a little, and maybe channel your inner peacock to stand out. Honestly, it felt a lot like trying to attract a mate in the wild—tough work, but worth it once you land that perfectly mixed drink. THE FOOD Once seated, the food took a bit to arrive, but when it did? Totally worth the wait. Beautifully plated and full of flavor. Drinks were solid, too—creative and well-balanced. BOTTOM LINE Go for the atmosphere and the NYC experience. Expect a wait, bring your patience, and enjoy the show—both at the bar and on the plate.
We were here for the Beekman hotel, but we were surprised that the food were excellent here. It was the restaurant week, and we got to sample the varieties from cold dishes to desserts. In general, the food was well prepared, especially the roasted Cod and grilled Hanger steak. Very disappointed at the tuna Crudo due to fish quality, hrs to chew! The service was a little untrained in the restaurant area, but they were very nice people. The broken couch and sagging seating made me downgrade the atmosphere. The place was beautiful by default!
Beautiful ambiance and stunning architecture throughout the restaurant! Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the sea bass, steak, lamb shank, and octopus. The bass and steak were delicious (a bit on the smaller side, but expected). The octopus was a little tough and the lamb shank was extremely salty - a real letdown considering the price. Overall, still a solid spot for a special occasion, would just order differently next time!
Absolutely beautiful atrium. The food was just averaged and takes a long time to come (we had the Beekman breakfast there), but remember you are not going there for the food. You are paying for the amazing atmosphere. It would probably be a nicer place to go get a drink in the evening and chill out rather than a breakfast place.
Location & place itself is nice. In my opinion the food is decent, but nothing special. Stake was chewy as an old cow. Service (waiter) at least should be trained to memorize simple things and understand that if customer place appetites and main course together, appetizers coming FIRST.)). And for "desert" : in the bill, if you look closely -- 18% suggested gratuities from total due of your bill is $3.50 more from actual number, (?!)
Food was decent but the service was poor. Starting from how long it takes to seat you even with reservations. We made dinner reservations and arrived 5 mins before seating time. Waited 20 mins to be seated despite empty tables in the dining area.. Food and check were also very slow to come out, so if you're planning a work meeting/ catch up, think about how long you want to dedicate to it. On a brighter note, the French toast on the breakfast menu and the juices were amazing. The scallops for dinner was also pretty good. Just come knowing you'll have to wait for everything.
Really unimpressed. The cod and octopus were decent, but the rest of the food was over seasoned and underwhelming. The service was very strange, the cocktails and apps came out late and then it became claustrophobic and rushed, clearing plates while we literally had forks raised to our mouths and were still eating. The cocktails tasted like boxed juice and the desert like cheap cocoa and gelatin. We were there for a special occasion that I marked on the reservation and confirmed via text, it was never acknowledged. Perhaps they are better when it’s not restaurant week, but the place appears to be a tourist trap and does not live up to other fine dining experiences in the area.
Had breakfast here and got the egg white omelette, which was quite bland overall with the exception of a marinated tomato that was the highlight. Desperately needed salt pepper and hot sauce. The service was slow and we didn’t get any water refills. Pretty expensive too — $40 total for an omelette with tax and tip.
This is the worst service I have experienced in this city. Temple Court is absolutely abysmal. The wait staff took 45 minutes to bring our first round of drinks. We ordered a bottle of champagne too, did that come? No. After another hour, a manager came and asked if we ordered a bottle of wine. We eventually ordered another round of drinks (what a mistake), which took an additional 30 minutes!!! Then another manager asked if we ordered wine (again), to which we said no, champagne. Eventually another server came over and again asked if we ordered wine! We corrected her again, just asking for the bottle we ordered. They then brought wine glasses! What a joke. Instead of bringing coupes or flutes for the ordered bottle, which we confirmed multiple times, they gave us white wine glasses to drink champagne. We did not have any crazy orders, no modifications or anything of the sort. This staff is beyond neglectful, forgetful, unprofessional, and none of them should have a job in service. They also consistently had attitudes every time they came to our table. After we were subjected to this establishment’s utter nonsense for literal hours, they said “we have a reservation coming, we need this table.” Excuse me the only reason I have been here so long is because the staff cannot seem to serve us, fulfilling the bare minimum requirements of their jobs. Additionally there were plenty of open tables, just ridiculous. The managers could tell their staff was not doing their jobs properly, but did nothing to rectify the situation. I will never, ever be subjecting myself to the absolutely horrible service at Temple Court. For anyone still reading this, go literally anywhere else in this great city not a part of this hospitality group. The owners should be mortified to have responsibility and oversight for such a poor excuse for a restaurant. It took all our self control to not cause a scene.
