The Donut Pub has been in NYC since the 1960s, and the donuts taste like they have never compromised on quality for the last sixty years. These are literally the freshest-tasting donuts I’ve had in NYC: they melt in your mouth. I stuck with a few different flavors of mini donuts so that I could enjoy multiple flavors at the same time. That said, they have tons of creatively flavored donuts, croissant donuts and cake donuts. It will be a tough decision, especially if you like a variety of fillings and frostings. Also very cute old school diner vibes—would be a great place to catch up with a friend.
Such a cute and colorful donut shop. They have so many different kinds of donuts!! Almost the entire length of the shop is a wall of donuts!! I had ordered a tiramisu croissant donut and a strawberry croissant donut. I didn't even know croissant donuts were a thing but they were outstanding. Warm, flaky, and sweet. Donuts tasted fresh and unique. Definitely worth multiple visits to try the other donut options.
Just to clarify something I love Donuts. Like love donuts. I’m a Krispy Kreme guy over DD when it comes to franchises. If your like me then listen when I tell you. The croissant donuts is the best donut I have EVER tasted. Extremely soft yet not too too soft. Very good flavor and just divine taste. They have other options which in my opinion are good but I will not recommend not eating a croissant donuts.
The Donut Pub which has been in business ( on West 14th Street) since 1964, recently opened a second location on Broadway just off Astor Place. They have phenomenal and delicious donuts and were recently rated NUMBER 1 in New York City for their black and white cookies. They have a wonderful staff and I want to give a shout out to Benjamin, who not only helped me create a fantastic instagram video but also encouraged me to try some fabulous donuts!!
Best donuts in the city! I stick to traditional flavors when it comes to donuts, bagels, etc. My fave here is the honey glazed! Be sure to try the chocolate sprinkles and French cruller, too! I’ve been going here for years, and the donuts are always fresh and delicious. These always hit the spot!
When I tell you thank God for tik Tok because I was a little sad that everywhere we went there was nuts everywhere and I couldn't really enjoy anything after we left Chinatown I was disappointed but as soon as I saw this we did a u-turn and it just made our trip even better not only everything was peanut and Tree nut free it was so delicious. I wish they had a location in Massachusetts
first of all, the place is super clean and absolutely beautiful. first time walking in and i was gagged. Selina (excuse my spelling), she was phenomenal. i asked and she delivered, great attitude, great energy, and a better heart. she was sweet and the other two that were with her on shift, yes they were tending to other folks so we didn’t speak much, but when we did, they were beyond sweet. i don’t know where you find these wonderful folks, but keep them coming. i will MOST DEFINITELY be coming back and with people. :)
I love The Donut Pub! The Astor Place location is bright, joyful, and airy, a fun spot with a great variety of donuts (including gluten-free options), plus dog treats, paninis, and bagels. My go-to order is the honey glazed donut with an iced coffee, simple and perfect. I live nearby, and it’s my favorite spot in the morning for coffee and in the evening for a sweet, dessert-style donut after dinner. I often bring friends here, especially at night when the music is blasting and the vibe is so fun! You don’t find many donut places with cool tunes and energy like this. Donut Pub is a national treasure! Best of all, it’s open 24 hours, so whether it’s an early start or a late-night craving, The Donut Pub always hits the spot. There’s plenty of seating, and it’s a comfortable, welcoming place to gather with friends or family
Variety is the spice of life and boy does this place preach that. The Broadway location had at least 60 donut varieties, including gluten free abc vegan options, which made it a great place for everyone. From sweet to savory they had it all, and the staff wasn’t afraid to let you take your time to decide. The employees were also efficient, making sure the store didn’t get too crowded but also making if a fun space for kiddos. There was a 10 year old who looked like she was in heaven and the staff were just as excited about that as she was about the treats. Me and my friend got three donuts, two coffees. We tried the old fashioned, the chocolate dipped donut and the tiramisu special donut. All were amazing. We also tried the drip coffee and a cold brew with milk and vanilla. The iced coffee was horrible. It tasted sour, almost like vodka. The design was fun and felt like a donut bar but the iced coffee was not the thing to get.
I don’t order donuts from other stores anymore since my wife put me on to this place. The store has a very diner-esque feel with friendly staff and nice chairs. They have a huge selection of donuts to choose from though I’ll only ever order glazed and chocolate frosted But whether you’re going for your favorite flavor, or you’re going to try something new like a Maple Bacon donut, you’re better off getting it here.
I LOOOOOOOOOVE THE DONUT PUB. I’ve been to both locations numerous times. Their donuts are absolutely delicious and I think about them often. I recommend trying some of the cronuts, which are some of the best in the city, and their French curler! The cappuccino cronut is my favorite, but the French curler is soooooo divine. It’s light, filled with beautiful layers and slightly creamy too! Also, if you go to their 14th street location, the coffee crumble cake is AMAZING. Do not miss out on these delicious treats! 🍩☕️😍
I commuted 30 minutes for this place and I hate to say it was SO WORTH IT. Cake donuts are sweet, moist, crispy glaze on the outside, strong flavor profile literally everything you would want for a donut. But the star of the show is their crueller I can finish 10 of these in one sitting. They wete airy, crispy but so soft and moist in the inside almost like french toast vibes. Bit pricey but its sooooo worth it.
They were playing r&b when we went which set the perfect chill vibe, and then you see the HUGE selection and know it's gonna be a great experience. We tried a few flavors (French toast, tiramisu, strawberry, blueberry, creme brulee) and they were all tasty and definitely satisfied everyone's sweet tooth for the afternoon! The staff was super friendly, and moved quickly!
Stopped in here and they have quite the assortment of unique donut flavors, some of them of the croissant variant. Service was really good. A bunch of people looking around figuring it out, but the guys behind the counter were on top of things once people said they were ready. The donuts themselves are pretty good. Some of them were a little dry. Kinda a little pricey, but that's to be expected for boutique donuts. I ended up getting: French Toast (croissant) Smores (croissant) Birthday Cake Double dipped Brooklyn Creme Cannoli-filled My favorites were in the reverse order.
A donut a day, keeps the doctor away! 🍩 I really liked the aesthetics of this donut store, it was very retro and like a diner. The prices were also pretty good. The donut was delicious, but a little bit too sweet. The portion size of the donuts were also big. However, the cashier and customer service wasn’t that great. The cashier was a bit rude. Price: $5.75💸 Rating: 7.5/10 📝
Apple Cider Cake: Driest donut I’ve had and minimum apple cider flavor (1/5) Honey Dipped: Better but still dry (2/5) Cappuccino: Great Flavor (4/5) Pumpkin Spice Cake: more flavorful than apple cider, but just as dry (1/5) The service was good, but was definitely disappointing to pay $14 for basically all bad donuts
