Stumbled in on a rainy day and had the most flavorful perfect bowl of udon. Cash only but inexpensive. I want to be a regular here. I only wish their hours were more do-able for lunchtime too!

This place is cash only, and has limited seating. However their Udon and Japanse curry is absolutely bomb!. I had never had Japanese curry before! My girlfriend took me here and I was absolutely amazed. The food comes out super fast as well. They also have a small ATM by the entrance in case you find it that you forgot your bills!

Had a very nice niku udon here. Portion was large and fairly priced. The service was very friendly and quick, they got bags holder on the bar and also space for coat hangers.

This is my favorite place in the world. I come here whenever I am in New York, and I have been coming here for more than 12 years. It's a hidden gem. I always get gyudon and the curry udon, which are so good. My wife always gets the pork katsudon. Highly recommend.

the staff are so fun to talk to. we sat at the bar and it was the best experience. really liked the chef with cool hair, we bonded over hair lol. the food was top notch and simply perfect. got to see the whole process!

Always an amazing experience at Udon St Marks. One of the only places I found to have truly amazing curry that you can take home and reheat the next day and still be satisfied. The food is always perfect and the service is always quick, perfect place to go to after work or with friends.

Quick service, tasty ramen and good prices. Go here if you want Japanese cuisine and great curry/rice. The croquette set is my personal favorite! I would avoid the tuna dishes but it’s a nice spot to eat at in the village!

Cute small Japanese cuisine spot, perfect for solo or friends dates. The food is delicious, simple and comforting. Prices are reasonable, one down side is place is small, and cash only 🥲 need to have cash before going. Overall I will go back to try more dishes

i liked the vibes and it was surprisingly no wait for lunch on saturday, cash only. the rice is a little bit mushy imo but the udon texture is good ambiance is small and cozy

Thus place was fun and fast. Just what we needed for a night out. It’s not the best Udon I’ve ever had, but the price was right for the times and I loved all the fun options. For my fellow veggie fans. The kimchi udon + an egg and potato cake was the decadent veggie udon I was searching for. Don’t come here for an intimate sit down dinner. This is place is for a fast, cafeteria style meal.

My friend asked me to try out this place since it's somewhat tiktok famous? The line was a bit long probably due to this reason, but we were seated within 30min. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, would be better if they didn't charge me 2.99 bucks for withdrawing cash (this place is cash only). The food is okay -- just standard Japanese udon, nothing too exciting but also not bad at all. After finishing our meal, we stayed for a few minutes before they asked us to leave because "other customers are waiting outside". I guess they can justify this by saying that Japanese restaurants do this a lot but then restaurants in Japan never ask for tips. Would probably go somewhere else for authentic udon.

I rate the food 3/5, rice was served cold for some reason. The seaweed in my udon was stale. The atmosphere is pleasant however.

I always came to eat here and needless to say I never had any bad experience however a few weeks ago I payed for my food and the waitress had a disgusting attitude telling me "Excuse me, I work off of tips" and she was desperate for the tips. I never had this issue while eating here and never had a problem with this issue and it is unprofessional behavior.

Loyal customer for almost a decade, but a recent surge in popularity has stretched the staff and severely damaged service. I was rejected from seating twice, the last time my party was waiting in line but we weren't all there yet. They asked us to move to the back of the line once we became whole. Lack of customer loyalty and poor service means I won't be returning to Udon St. Mark's.

Go here if you want to spend 20 bucks on udon noodles that you can easily make by yourself at home with terrible service where they force you to leave even when you’re not finished eating, and then ask you for forced tip. Also, as a secret Japanese speaker, I noticed that the staff here was discussing about the customer’s choice of food, this is unacceptable and rude, I will never go here again.
