Indoor and outdoor seating available. We went on a Friday night for a 90s 00s band @runforcoverNY The owner Sam was there making sure everyone had a good time. The bartenders were mixing up refreshing drinks with souvenir ducks floating on top. We only had a few apps but we'll definitely be back for a full meal. If you're in Newburgh, forget the river. Head over to Liberty Street and check out Toasted.
Sam and the team at Toasted are amazing. I guarantee any time you walk into this place, you will be getting an excellent meal. The atmosphere is hip, and the backyard is the spot to be in Newburgh on a Friday or Saturday night. I can't wait for the summer to enjoy some more evenings at Toasted.
Love the atmosphere here. Experienced, knowledgeable bartenders and cooks. They put all their love into the drinks and food! Every time I’ve dined here, it’s been nothing but the best time. The owner Sam is lovely. Definitely created a great establishment that the community needed. Highly recommended!
If you haven’t eaten here yet, you’re missing out. It’s very clear the staff cares about providing quality service. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. The burger, fried chicken sandwich and hanger steak sandwich are out of this world. The ambiance is ideal. Very clean dining area with beautiful decor.
The staff are so lovely and efficient, the food is super DELISH, and the cocktails are well-balanced. Brussel sprouts and butternut squash soup were exactly what I needed for a misty fall evening. Fried chicken sandwich with fries was perfect. Apple torte dessert was excellent. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner!
What a great find! The vibe was great and the food was even better. The peaches and tomato salad was like summer in a bowl and we loved the tomatillo in the gazpacho. Great selection of local spirits and friendly, knowledgeable, and fast service by Sam and Sky. We'll be back the next time we're in town or passing through - definitely worth a detour!
Music was good, the drinks were good. They have events all the time and great DJs! Great place for date night!
If your a vegetarian and craving a fried chicken sandwich you have to check out their crispy oyster mushroom sandwich......dam!
Great bar/event venue. They do a lot of fun events/theme nights. Prices are fair and service is great. They have a nice outdoor area as well as a great selection of local beer and cider. Sam is a great bartender/owner.
Bivonas at Toasted is D-I-V-I-N-E. The best Italian-(real Italian) food since visiting Italy. Warm, filled with love and the best ingredients. The recipes are special. An extraordinary gem! Sam was also a a great host.
Great cocktails and a very good- ever changing beer program. Some of the best shows I’ve seen in Newburgh have been here. The quality of artists has been mind blowing, and DJs always know how to work a room. Sam, the owner or manager, I’m not sure, makes me the coolest cocktails, new stuff every time, and remembers what I like to make new stuff. Man earns his tips.
Came here for lunch with my 5 year old daughter. Off the bat not a great place for a little person as the options are totally more geared for adults. However, the waiter was able to accommodate her as best as possible. So we had the fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing. We opted for regular Mayo and fresh mozzarella. I think when we go again I may need to opt for slice bread as well cause the baguette was to big for her mouth. Other then that it was great. Sam was super friendly. I will totally come back with my daughter.
Wow what a great little restaurant this is. Stopped by for lunch today and had the vegetarian fried oyster mushroom sandwich. This was perhaps the best surprise meal I have eaten this year. Really amazing. Friendly staff, cute little cafe. Definitely put this on your places to try out!
Stopped in for a mid-week lunch with my husband. The food was amazing. I had the sliced hanger steak sandwich and he had the cubano. Both were great as was the charred gazpacho. Looking forward to a return visit.
Stopped here for lunch while driving up 87. The staff was so friendly. We had the vegetarian fried “chicken” (mushroom) sandwich and the peach salad. Sandwich was a little on the salty side but otherwise very good. Cute place.
An incredible culinary experience. At the suggestion of the chef, I chose the grilled chicken sandwich. It has only four ingredients, which is risky because there's no margin for error. Execution was flawless: tender chicken, creamy hummus, flavorful red cabbage slaw, on a daily baked local baguette. Beautifully simple.
The decor of this place is on point. The food was too. Try the Fried Oyster Mushrooms and Brussels Sprouts. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The only thing that was a bit concerning was the service. The waiter is a bit chatty and needs to do a better job of checking in with the customers.
We randomly went here on our walk home from the Airbnb. This place is totally something you would see in Seattle and/or Ithaca, I live right outside of there. I had no idea what to expect when we entered. There was a band playing with some interestingly looking patrons that could have all passed for 18. Not a bad experience, but it was definitely an odd experience. Considering I love both Seattle and Ithaca, that says a lot. Probably would have enjoyed it more if it was a different band and crowd.
Tried to order my sandwich with something other than focaccia bread and there were no other options causing the bread to diminish any tenderness or texture the beef on it may have had. Also, they don't have a paper menu or something posted makeing it difficult for people not having mobile devices or perhaps a little bit older (like my dad) to order. Decor is cute and is is very clean. Staff is very nice.
My friend and I wanted to grab lunch, so we excitedly decided to try Toasted for the first time. Unfortunately, we both left knowing that we would not return. (1) My friend mentioned to the waiter that the tomatoes on her sandwich did not taste fresh and was not offered a replacement. The waiter responded saying that he just bought them yesterday, yet that response was not a solution to the problem. (2) I originally wanted the asparagus soup, however it was seemingly only a seasonal soup and therefore was no longer an option. Being that the establishment only has digital menus and wouldn’t have to waste money on printing, it may be wise to keep them updated so that guests aren’t disappointed and the menu is accurate. (3) I found a short, straight, blonde/brown hair underneath my shrimp. (It was too late to send it back, I ate them) My hair is dark brown, medium length and extremely curly and my friend’s hair is dark brown, long and wavy. The waiter didn’t apologize, he just said “That’s weird, the cook is bald so I don’t know how that got in there.” He was very nonchalant, and the hair actually looked like his. (4) I brought in these flyers to receive 10% off of my meal and the waiter didn’t allow me to use them because he had already taken 10% off because of the hair in my shrimp. I understand that this is a small business and they may not be able to comp whole meals. But in most restaurants, much more than 10% (a dollar and 80 cents in this situation) is taken off in cases like this. The least he could have done was accept the flyers I brought in. He told me to just use them for next time, but I already knew I wouldn’t be back. (5) The waiter didn’t ask if we were finished or ready for the check, he just brought the check out. Then got sassy when we asked him to split it, telling us that we should’ve said that beforehand. But he didn’t even ask if we were ready for the check to begin with. Overall, it just was not the experience that I hoped for. I know things happen, people have off days, etc. But nothing about this trip today motivated me to want to come back! The only good thing I can say is it is visually and aesthetically pleasing in the inside. But decor doesn’t retain customers, great customer service and great food does.
