Star Donuts

This place is smaller than I expected, yet has more donuts varieties than most donut shops I have shopped at. Each donut was a delicious surprise, and they gave me bonus donut holes. If you have not been, you need to check it out. 5 out of 5. Will recommend.

Moving into the area recently made me happier I'm closer to Krispy Kreme in Oxnard until I found Star Donuts minutes from home....always friendly, always open and the quality matches the hospitality! And every time I've been in, they've always thrown in an extra or two, highly recommend this as the greatest donuts in Southern California!!

Star Donuts is the best. They donuts always taste fresh and there is always a variety to choose from. They are very nice and prices are good. We dont get donuts very often, but when we do - its off to Star Donuts for us!

Great tasting donuts and super friendly staff. We only went in for a couple donuts and they very graciously threw in a few extra. I will definitely be back the next time i feel like a donut.

This place is absolutely fantastic! I go here all the time with my fiance and the staff is so courteous and friendly and they always give us free stuff! Its become my favorite place in Newbury Park

Great donut shop! Got a raspberry jelly filled donut, a glazed twist and a apple fritter and like the other reviews say they put a free glazed donut with my order to! The plain glazed donuts taste a little coconut-ee. Interesting flavor. Quit pleasent if you like coconut. I didn't try the apple fritter though but it looks yummy! They also have great coffee too! Got a small black coffee and it was the perfect brew (for my tast) also the guy at the counter was very nice! Overall donuts are tasty, good coffee, service is great, good selection.

Super nice staff, really good food. A must stop spot if looking for lots of quality food for a low price. They even snuck some extra donut holes in with the bags for a little snack!

My friends and I love going here! The workers are so kind and so generous. They always make our night :) The best part is that the donuts are delicious too!

Great place to get 🍩 donuts. Open 24 hours day. Staff very nice and helpful. Lots parking and in shopping center. Near freeway 101. They sandwiches and other items too.

Under new management the donuts are great and every time I go I see they are improving and updating something. The young girl that works there keeps it very clean.

Such friendly staff and so many options from your traditional to more creative (umm bacon donut anyone?). Also got a Java Chip smoothie and it was so good! Perfect amount of sweet and not overbearing. Will be stopping by more often when I’m around.

Stumbled across this place while visiting Newbury California area. Treated myself for my birthday breakfast.. OMG! I had the apple filled bear claw and a coffee. It was so amazing, I went back the next day and got the mountain berry filled donut. Man!! What a treat. Do yourself a favor! Go there and experience them for yourself

I got two doughnuts and a strawberry banana smoothie. My bag also contained three free doughnut holes! The smoothie was better than anything I've had at Jamba Juice, the holes were like eating cotton candy, delicious and light as air. The old fashioned was good and the Long John was light and airy as well. As good as, if not better than, the rolling pin in Camarillo. Definitely my go to doughnut store now! Plus they had doughnuts I've never seen before, like M&M covered ones!

Maybe the areas’ best donuts. New and better owners have not changed a thing except the donuts themselves and they are…🔥!! I went in expecting the basic classics and instead had a beautiful yeasty tigertail that was double sized. An unreal buttermilk and a perfect French Krueller. I thought do I do a review on the neighborhood donut shop. But honestly the new product is so unbelievably good I just had to. Go. Now and see if you agree. Enjoy

I love bakeries, but do avoid them as they can get me in trouble. Star Donuts was in walking distance to my hotel so I stopped in. Small space, but had a great selection even at 11am. The service was nice and I bought donut holes and a chocolate Bavarian cream. WOW 👏!!! They smashed it with the Bavarian cream. That was the best I've ever had! Don't get me started on the donut holes...amazing! Truly recommend this local gem. 👌

I went here with some friends for a late night dessert, and it was delicious!! I got a Thai tea with boba and it was actually home brewed rather than the powder most places use. It was so yummy! The donuts were really good too, they had the perfect amount of icing just like I like them. The gentleman who helped us was so nice too, I definitely recommend this place.

We decided to stop at a popular burger place and needed coffee on our way to LAX. I searched coffee near by and came across a café. As we were parking I noticed Star Donuts. I figured we could get our coffee and a sweet treat for the price of just the coffee at the café. Good decision. We got two small coffees, a cruller, a cinnamon roll and an apple fritter for just under $15. The fritter and the cinnamon roll were a good size. My husband ate the cruller, said it was good, light and fluffy not overly sweet. The cinnamon roll was delicious, light airy and I think it has toasted coconut on the outside. The black coffee was went well with both. Haven't tasted the fritter yet but I am very hopeful. So if you are in the area and need a coffee and a sweet treat I highly suggest you stop here.

Great general donuts they always appear to sneak in extra donuts in your order depending on the quantity you get...so that keeps me coming back. They have something similar to cronuts...if you are interested in that...its covered in icing which I don't prefer.

Good selection of donuts. Even some exotic Donuts like bacon covered Etc. I would go there again but I wouldn't recommend going there every day unless you want to weigh 400 lb.

Good place to get donuts locally. I go in at all sorts of hours and they usually have a decent selection to choose from. There is nothing special or unique about the donuts they offer, but they do taste good.

The only place around us that consistently has French crullers. Best service is from the owners, they always throw in a handful of donut holes as extras. The employees can be hit and miss.

I was overcharged twice- by 5.00 by employees. I’m hoping writing this the owners will see. I wanted to tell him in person but every time I’ve gone in lately, he wasn’t there.

Been coming here for a decade and it’s changed. All fancy now, not sure if they have new owners but she doesn’t give any extra donuts anymore 😔

On top of that she was being super rude to her employee. The Employee mentioned that this was her 2nd day at the job & she’s still learning. I cannot stand RUDE & cheap employers!
