Very good!! Good food, good service! First time at this restaurant, a surprising delight! I've been looking for a nice Mexican restaurant and after we ordered a wonderful appetizer and drinks, I read the menu. There were so many choices; I'll happily have to go back several more times to taste everything I want to try!!

What a delightful secret!! The food and service was excellent!! We were looking for Mexican food and happened upon Dario’s in San Clemente. We actually had a lovely and romantic lunch in the nicely set up dining area! Dario’s is warmly lit and each booth is private. PS: The restrooms were very clean!

The environment is peaceful and private. it is great for a nice date out with close friends and family. the food had good flavors I loved their service. we were so hungry they didn't mind giving us three chip and dips while waiting for food.

I’m not familiar with Mexican food. By what we had, was very tasty! Steak fajitas is a very big portion, was enough for two of us.

OK, I don’t know how this place doesn’t have five stars? My wife and I visited yesterday for the first time and can I just say that this place is the best Mexican food we have tried in all of Santa Clarita Valley. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the place is dimly lit with candles and Christmas lights, which I absolutely love. They do have a patio area as well. We opted for the Mulcajete to share And can I just say this was the best Mulcajete I have ever had and that is saying a lot because I have had plenty. Every bite was exploding with flavor, even down to the sauce they use And I loved how they gave us our own rice and beans plates not like other restaurants how they give you one plate to share this place is not stingy by any means and might I add…. endless chips and salsa!! The drinks were fantastic too! If you stop in share the Mulcajete.. so much even enough to take home! We walked out of there wanting to come back the next day! It’s that’s good!

We ate at Dario’s today and the food was great!!! It was fresh! This place can be a hit or miss depending on time, but today it was a HIT! 👏🏻🏅🇲🇽💕My boyfriend who is a Chef gave them a 9 of 10! The green enchilada was delicious as well as the huevos omelette!

Found this little gem. Service was awesome, didn't have to wait long to be seated and server was there with chips and salsa. Then came back in a little to take my order. Food came out fast and hot just like it came off your stove at home. Food tasted so delicious. I ordered the Linda Enchiladas & a side of taquitos (shred beef) everything I ordered had a good delicious flavor. I got here a little before dinner time but it does get busy here from the time I was leaving it was a full house. It is worth the wait if you come. Just do get discouraged by the way it looks outside don't mean it's in a bad area just it looks a little out of place BUT THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS AWESOME!!!!! I will be returning even after I do some dirt bike riding. Pass this place going & coming from Gorman.

Very delicious Mexican food. What I actually love about this place is it’s locations. It really feels like one of those hole in the wall places. The restaurant is located next to a gas station. I would drive by it all the time and had no idea the building next to it was a restaurant. Service is great. Food is better. Unlimited chips and salsa. Looking forward to coming back. P.S. I got the steak fajitas which were very tasty

Can I just say AMAZING salsa! Really though amazing! Fun and cozy atmosphere and good food, but the salsa is the star! Loved the variety and was pleased to find they're open for lunch and offer to-go options. Staff was incredibly attentive and very sweet. Had a family business atmosphere that suggested every employee had a personal stake in your experience. Cannot praise the staff enough! Reasonable prices and again salsa worth a 4 hour drive. We'll be back!

I met some friends here for the first time and it is a quaint little place tucked away in a gas station parking lot. I had the single Taco combo and it was delicious! The waiter was prompt and efficient! He checked back frequently. I plan on coming back

I was there with a friend of mine tonight and we got really good service to go along with a couple of good margaritas and we enjoyed our meals. She said she really likes this place so that's what's important. So you should like it too.

We stopped by this little hole in the wall by the gas station. Oh my God! It was fabulous. From the chips and salsa, to the guacamole and mole sauce. It was fabulous. The skinny margaritas were great. More than great. And the deep fried ice cream was a great finish. We will recommend to our friends and family. And we will be back!

Great Mexican Restaurant with long history in the Santa Clarita Valley. Food doesn't disappoint and a favorite place among the locals. Interior is dark with lots of seating. Parking can be a challenge as it's limited for this popular spot. There is additional street parking. Keep your head on a swivel when parking as the Restaurant shares parking with a gas station and liquor store. Cars constantly coming in an out. Weekends and dinner hours can create a parking challenge.

The food was good but the service wasn’t impressive. We ordered for pickup and the host claimed we didn’t call. We started placing another order and suddenly our old order was found?? Took 20+ minutes of waiting even though we called 15 minutes ahead.

I had a good experience here. The food was good and service was good as well. We went right before closing and they had no problem accommodating us. The place is dated and in need of a construction refresher, but is was a good overall experience.

Great service! The food was well-served. Waiter and server were very attentive. Food was delicious, except our beef milanesa was a little burned, hence 4 stars. But will be going again. Thanks!

We came in tired, cold and hungry. The atmosphere and general spirit if the place was warm and welcoming. The service was perfect. polite but not overly disruptive. the food was excellent and served hot and wow we got two chip dip choices, salsa or spicy bean. we slurped up our hit Albondigas Soup and chili Verde burrito......excellant chili verde by the way!

Dario's is one of those restaurants that is just consistently a great time! Delicious food prepared by people who know what they're doing, warm friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere. You are made to feel comfortable at Dario's you will be served wonderful hot delicious food and the folks at Dario's care enough about the customer to make sure the price is always right! Very comfortable booth and table seating as well as a fun bar area! If you come for a date or if you come with your family it's always a great time!

Had stopped going to this location for a while due to service and food quality. Most of the crew went to the newer location in Canyon Country. Must say twice in a two weeks -service was great and they got my 8-person take out order right. Not as generous on rice and beans but it appears to be more like the old Darios i remember.

Very good service. Large portions with very reasonable prices. Our group didn't order as much of a variety as I thought we would but there were zero complaints about any if the food. Will probably return when next in the area.

We all love Mexican food, and my son and I are vegetarian so it comes down to whether we have options to choose from. We did! Our server was also knowledgeable in terms of what and wasn't vegetarian which was helpful. (ie their regular refried beans and rice are both not vegetarian, but they offer black beans and a white rice which are.) I had potato tacos. I mean vegetarian or not you can't go wrong with a fried taco filled with potatoes. They were good and the vegetarian rice also had some flavor to it which I appreciated. I also had a mezcal margarita which looked beautiful and tasted good too. We were seated quickly for a crowded Friday night with other people waiting as well. There are a lot of classic Mexican food options for vegetarians. We appreciated the dark vibe and decor as well which made us feel we were dining in a nice place in a sea of fast food and fresh-Mex places that are good, but don't give as nice a 'dining out' vibe as Dario's did. We'd try it again!

Food was pretty good but the service was really bad. Had 2 glasses of drinks spill all over our table and the employees looked at us cleaning it up and never helped us, even walked yo to table while we were cleaning and sat food down on it, we actually had to tell them to pick up all the wet napkins then they threw a stack of dry ones at us. We were charged for new drinks as well. The people seemed nice but REALLY lazy.

Pretty good food. Great salsa and chips! Service is good, but small mistakes happen almost every time I go. My biggest compliant is the rock-hard chairs at the tables. The worst part is they look padded, so you first sit down harder than you normally would.

We were in a large group. The service was impeccable. No complaints whatsoever about their customer service. It was some of the best service ever. The atmosphere was beautiful. I heard their food was some of the best, but maybe I just didn't order the right thing. My food did not taste authentic or Mexican. More like they opened a can and heated it up. I ordered albondigas. It was more akin to Campbell's vegetable soup that they added the tiniest meatballs to. It was served luke warm. I would give them a second chance but would hope they wouldn't cut corners with serving canned food. The chips &salsa were in point plus the beans dip was yummy.

3 item combo missing items, Mexican rice was under cooked (inedible). The main dish was very salty. Called to let them know and at first they couldn’t find our order. Then they told us to just go complain to door dash so we could try to get a refund. I guess you have someone go without their meal. Won’t recommend or order here again. We were trying to support local restaurants. Our mistake with this one.

This place used to be my go to for Mexican food until tonight. My wife and I decided to eat out and came to Dario’s in Newhall. I had the steak picado and my wife ordered the Carne asada ( New York steak and cheese enchilada). My plate was good, however her steak was Rotten. It tasted and smelled sour! She asked me to try it to confirm and I had to immediately spit it out. I advised our waiter and told him the steak was bad, old, and rotten. He seemed sorry as he took the plate back to the kitchen. He later returned with what initially appeared to be a new plate, then we noticed it was the same piece of meat we returned, just cooked (charred) more. We were so shocked and disgusted!! I guess they thought they could cook the rotten out of the meat. Disgusting!!!!! Dine at your own risk.

As with most restaurants, they have steadily increased prices over the years, paired down their lunch specials, taken away the bean dip they would give with the chips and salsa, etc. I get it. Costs are going up and running a restaurant is difficult and has a lot of overhead. However, there comes a point where you begin to take advantage of your customers and today was that day. My wife and I ordered an iced tea and a diet coke to drink with our meal. $4.50 each is a high price for a non alcoholic drink but we wanted it anyway. We didn't get any refills during our meal and we were taking half of our meals home as we were full. My wife asked for a refill on her iced tea, a to go container for her meal, and a to go cup for the iced tea. The waiter said he couldn't provide a to go cup for the iced tea and he could only give us a refill and we had to drink it in the restaurant. Really? This is the only restaurant where we have run into this policy and the thousand of times we have come to Dario's we haven't had an issue with getting a to go cup. This "policy" makes zero sense and has pushed us too far that we will not b back. It's unfortunate as we like to support local businesses but only until the point where they take advantage of their customers. I could see if we had 3 refills during our meal and wanted another refill to go but this wasn't the case. Very unfortunate that they lose long time customers over $.50 worth of iced tea.
