GREAT PLACE to eat and hangout. Ricardo and Christian were GREAT hosts and servers. They were so accommodating and were very GENEROUS with their hospitality and care for CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's my first time to Chronic Tacos but I will sure to visit again based on Ricardo's and Christian's service and hospitality. Oh yes, the food tasted AMAZING also. I had the 2 Taco Plate with Mahi-Mahi Street Style with Pinto Beans and Rice. My daughter had the Pollo Asado with Refried Beans and Rice. The chips and pico de gallo was sooooo good, I had to buy a BIG BAG ad a large container of the salsa.

When you walk around Newport Beach and Balboa for a few hours and end up with starving teenagers and hangry father you take them to Chronic Tacos to satiate those appetites. The shrimp tacos are amazing. The taquitos hit the spot. Chronic Tacos slaps!

My daughter wanted tacos after surfing. We were so happy that they were open when we arrived. We love how you can customize your plate. Definitely, one of the healthiest if not THE healthiest fast food place in SoCal.

Service was 10/10!!!! Came in for a bowl, the workers were so kind, cracking jokes and made sure we got everything we needed. Ended up getting the churros and they were SO GOOD. If you go here you HAVE to get the churros! They’re not the gross overly processed churros, they’re made here from scratch by one of the workers and they’re to die for! Love this place!!!! Always a go to on Balboa

Ricardo and his Crew were slammed today, line out the door. Typically when I see that I expect awful service... And I could not have been more wrong. Efficient teamwork and communication and genuine care for their craft made this such a memorable experience. If you're trying to figure out where to eat in paradise GO TO CHRONIC

Passing by and the smell of the food caught my nose!! As I’m walking in I’m listening to some great beach city music! Completely my vibe and to be welcomed the way that dude welcomed me well wow. 5 stars all across the board. Now the food, well let’s say it can’t get more fresh than this. The quality is delicious and so flavorful, of course depending on how you top it with all the choices they provide for us!!! Idk why I would go anywhere else!!!!

Amazing food and the restaurant was really cozy on the inside, if you go get the jalapeño poppers, they're big jucy peppers with medium spice, cream cheese on the inside, and crispy bread on the outside. I also got 3 tacos a la carte, carne asada meat, gringo style. The food was spot on, and the service was fast. Definitely recommend coming here!

Stopped by on the afternoon of 03/21/25 while some friends and I were waiting for a whale watching cruise nearby. Our friend wanted to grab some food here and while I wasn’t initially hungry, the delicious smells while we waited made me curious enough to try it and boy, am I glad I did. I tried the fish tacos and was pleasantly blown away by them! Flavorful, fresh, and filling I was immediately a fan of how great the quality and flavor of the food was. I can be kind of picky when it comes to fish tacos so I was very happy with deciding to give them a try. Our friends were equally happy with their meals and raved about how much they loved this place. Will definitely stop by again whenever I’m in the area!

Horrible service. Fernando and his coworker with the small top pony tall twice were rude threaten me twice refused to serve me and my family all women on two different occasions . Threatened to take my phone and call the police on us for no reason. Horrible hatred I’ve ever received . I was afraid after they made me of everyone order on the computer with no one in line they would do something to my food. Both men were super aggressive to two women and a child. We are terrified for our life. Please be AWARE !
