COME HERE!!! Could not recommend more. We came here twice in one week and will come anytime we’re in Newport. Our server was so nice and recognized us the second time we came in. They even catered to my little siblings who just wanted tons of cucumber rolls. The fish is so fresh. Each roll had a perfect balance of ingredients, the right amount of sauce (aka a lot), a great crunch, and overall quality you can taste. Our order came out super fast (even on a busy Friday night).They also have great options for or non sushi eaters. Make sure to stop by!

My new go to place for sushi! Food was fantastic from start to finish. Not sure about another review stating they don't serve ginger/Wasabi. We were promptly brought a generous portion of both. The waiters were all super friendly and welcoming as well as the sushi chefs. Jinbei roll (pictured) was phenomenal. I will definitely be back!

We are a big sushi lovers but also very picky. We came on Sunday afternoon and were able to get a table right away. Welcoming place. Great and fast service. Friendly staff. Food was pretty good too. Nothing can top our sushi experience in Japan but would give about 9 stars out of ten (or 4.5 out of 5 :) Loved the fact that rice was good and just enough not to overwhelm the fish. Some peaces were cut a bit too big for a sushi style but I'll take that over ridiculous amount of rice as many places do. Salmon was really good. Scallops just ok. Seared tuna was very good. My favorite garlic edamame beans.

Best miso soup, ginger dressing and teriyaki I've ever had.. it was my first time ever trying sushi and I'm so thankful this is the location I chose to try it! Will most definitely come back! Definitely won't leave this place disappointed!! Amazing customer service, kind and friendly staff!!

We ordered, Salmon Sashimi, Beef Gyoza, Super Crunch Roll, Crazy Roll. Everything was super delicious, HOWEVER the crumbs weren’t crunchy, so the super crunch wasn’t crunchy.

I can’t rate service or atmosphere as I did delivery but let me tell you, the food is AMAZING (and I worked at a sushi restaurant in college so I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to sushi). I ordered just a simple yellowtail cut roll and a tuna cut roll and both had HUGE chunks (not the minced stuff that is used for lesser quality fish and mixed with mayo or scallions) but huge chunks of very fresh fish. Each piece of the sushi was quite large because of that! 😍 They also put ponzu to-go in the order because I asked. That was kind of them. Side note, the wasabi is fresh as well, same with the ginger (minor things but good indicator of a sushi restaurant’s level). Overall, if the rest of their items are of this same freshness and portion size (and also the price!? Highly affordable for THIS caliber of roll) then this is my new go to.

We had yellowtail and scallop nigiri… tuna maki… crunchy rainbow roll…. 100% recommend if you live in Newport coast, CDM or Newport Beach.

We ordered the Korean barbecue and chicken fried rice, both of which were delicious. The Korean barbecue was tender and flavorful, while the chicken fried rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was prompt and attentive, and the restaurant had a clean, stylish decor. Overall, Fusion Sushi is a great spot for a fusion of Korean and Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended, especially if you get Abraham as your waiter!

A great minimalist-modern place with the kindest imaginable staff and fantastic food at moderate prices. The "chef special" spicy tuna tempura roll, served on a rich bed of salad greens, is to die for. This place is a must-visit if you're in the area.

They also make an amazing fresh wasabi.Wow! I normally skip the wasabi but I'm so glad I gave it a try.It gave my Blue fin tuna a wonderful" yummy ness". Love this restaurant.

This restaurant added the tip to the bill and tried to hide it! Very dishonest. They added the tip to the bill and then tried to hide that fact by folding the receipt in half hiding where they added the tip to the bill. This left only the place where I need to sign that shows recommendations of how much to tip. This was done both to me and my friend that was eating with us on separate bills. We both initially added an additional tip but luckily I found the scam. The servers were very nice and the food was good but I suspect one person his responsible for this.

This was my favorite place and now the quality and service went down the hill. They do not give wasabi or ginger on each sushi order, and I kept telling them to give me ginger which took them a long time when the restaurant was not full or busy. They had 3 tables outside including mine and no one was in the restaurant to serve. Quality on fish is horrible now. Not the same as before. We wont come here again when it is down the block of our house
