This was way better than the good reviews. The bar was busy and the staff was on top of it. Never had to wait for service once. Jeff's service was outstanding and the food was amazing. If you're looking for an experience worth your time and money, you have to come before the live music starts or you wont find a seat. This is a local hangout with good food, drinks and music. The kitchen has a big window next to the entrance. It looked so inviting. It was worth going in. We will be back.

Feels like a hidden gem in plain sight, a little to the right of the beaten path by the Newport pier. Comfortable enough to be a great local hang, mysterious enough for a secluded date night, big enough for the whole group. Welcoming staff. Didn't order food this time.

Always love this place for the live music and the rooftop. Today they had both! They also added several vegetarian 🌱 dishes to their menu that aren’t on the website so that was a pleasant surprise. I’m usually stuck surviving on their sweet potatoes fries. Oh, and the service is always amazing. Thank you!

Staff was great, calamari was good and the clam chowder was really good, i had bacon avocado Burger, didn't like it too much

Wouldn’t recommend eating there but definitely go for drinks and the atmosphere. Live music is a major plus!

I only went there for the live band on a Saturday night. Drinks were good.

Waited for five minutes at an empty bar last night and not one bartender acknowledged me or my girlfriend. Tall male bartender and short female bartender. Saturday night at 9:20pm, one other person at the bar waiting for a drink and not a single word from either bartender for a good 5 minutes.

Ok so I don’t really post reviews or anything but I had to for this place. My fiancé and I were here yesterday night (Valentines), there were multiple things that made us upset. First, the bouncer was extremely unprofessional (bald guy) letting in random people for free and letting them cut in front of the line. Second, was the BARTENDER guy. Extremely disrespectful. We were at the bar first and the bartender was aware of us, instead of helping us out, he continued letting groups of people cut us and serve them first. He finally gets to us and my fiancé asks for a margarita but swap the tequila with vodka. He looked at us like if we were talking a different language and physically looked upset and irritated with us, grunting and sighing. Lastly, I personally felt singled out in this club, no one wanted to associate with us. Everybody treated us different (was it a race thing? Idk) I was dancing around, having fun cause they were playing rock music which I love and multiple people told us we had to calm down? For what? Dancing? Having a good time? If you are a POC this isn’t the place for us.. Do better Blue Beet.

The menu was a bit lacking with not much to choose from. Once we ordered the bartender kept telling us she would bring our food upstairs. We said we would just sit at the bar and she said we would be more comfortable upstairs. We felt like she was asking us to go up stairs. Not sure why. She did bring us our food pretty fast. I ordered a hamburger and it did not come with any condiments but I didn't ask for any in fear she would just grab them off the next table and we could already see they were covered in dust. She asked if I wanted a coke to go. I said sure but on the way out the guy chatting with a group of people yelled that I couldn't take the drink outside. I told him it was just coke and he said, "he didn't care". Not sure why I was offered a coke to go if I couldn't take it with me. I will definitely avoid this place for the rest of eternity.

Had the worst experience tonight. This is in regards to one of the bouncers/front door man had with a shaved head. He threw slurs out tonight. I wish I had recorded it. There were at least 5 witnesses who were upset as I am. I will not be going back to this establishment. This was in the evening of December 1 2023. I rarely write reviews as a patron. I’ve only written it in my bad experiences; however; this is the worst experience I’ve ever had.
