I love the food, service, and especially the atmosphere here. Love the decor and the vibe you get when you come here for dinner or drinks. We have come here a few times, especially giving my wife works in Pike and Rose. For this visit, we had excellent service from Kyle. Very personable and fun to talk to. We were heading to an event, so on this occasion it was just a small meal to tie us over. We started with the guacamole and house chips, and they were excellent. We also had the special ravioli from the seasonal menu. Had to try it and it was yummy. (Make sure you check out the seasonal menu because it has some outstanding limited dishes). For dinner, we split the skirt steak frites and caramelized Brussels sprouts. A nice glass of Koha Sauvignon Blanc to round out the meal. I highly recommend the skirt steak, it was flavorful and tasty. Overall, a great experience. Will return again soon.

Wow, really beautiful restaurant that truly looks like LA. We had a table for 4 without a reservation in under 5 mins on a Sunday morning, waiter was tremendous even offering advice on NFL wild cards matchups. I ordered the Mexican tostadas with a side of thick cut bacon…..haven’t tasted breakfast this delicious since last time in Mexico, I was blown away. Waiter had suggested their baked cinnamon roll and it was so good that we stopped eating it and brought it to NYC for my kids to try. Everyone’s food was amazing and was a generous size, if you’re in and around this area, it’s worth the drive and a wait if necessary to eat breakfast here, you won’t be disappointed

Parking is easy in the garage and the food is really good. I come here very often. I love the truffle fries. I love their appetizer the drinks. I’m not a big fan of alcohol, but I do like most of their nonalcoholic drinks.

I wanted to avoid the hotel ballroom look/vibe that receptions typically have. Summer House was the perfect location for our 55 person micro-reception. Our family and friends couldn't stop complimenting the vibe the staff curated for our wedding day. They came up with a custom floor plan to comfortably fit everyone and allow space for our first dance, mingling, guest book, sweetheart table and cake table. The room was draped beautifully, I provided the decor and the staff set everything up, and Yabby went the extra mile and added eucalyptus to our tables that really brought my vision to life. The event booking includes a tasting which was awesome. The wait staff was incredible and our guests were impressed by the bartender. The reception was very private and intimate even though we didn't do a full buyout, I forgot other customers were even there. I loved that there was a private bar and entrance for our guests and that we could bring our speaker and mics. They were even able to accommodate some special requests like adding a special menu item (sautéed green beans) and custom ordered napkins that fit my color and decor style. Every request we had was accommodated with enthusiasm. I was impressed at the value here compared to other vendors we considered. Majority of your money goes towards your event, not fees and taxes. I wanted to gatekeep but I can't 😂. If you're hosting a micro-wedding, this is a perfect place! I can't say enough positive things about Summer House.

My daughter's favorite restaurant! We love the food, atmosphere, decor and service. Our server, Drew was very attentive and accommodating. Offered menu suggestions and took plates away instead of allowing them to pile up like other restaurants. He was kind enough offer her a chocolate chip cookie for being such a loyal customer. The Rockfish and potatoes were seared to perfection btw, well done! We can't wait to come back and try something else.

A fantastic time at table 13. I had the fantastic Huevos Racheros. And our table also had the shaved Brussels sprouts salad and the avocado toast. And a super rich cake. Our server Jenny was so nice and friendly — we felt very welcome.

This spot brings beachy vibes right into Pike and Rose! Our server, Regina was amazing: friendly and fast. The lunch was delicious, and the cookie bar was the cherry on top — packed with a fun variety of sweets you have to try. I definitely recommend getting the Rice Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookie, super sweet and shareable. Perfect little spot but it does get super busy!

Located in a very busy area with very nice vibe. The restaurant decor and ambience is very inviting. The restaurant large and spacious. The food is excellent and is very filling. A lot of options for food and their cookies are unique and excellent. Would highly recommend. Service can be a little slow but the environment makes it feels short.

Beautiful set up and lay out of a restaurant. They mimic Santa Monica, California’s in essence. The ambience of the restaurant is gorgeous! The warm lighting gives the inside of the place homey vibe. Not to mention the drinks and food are delicious! Try their seasonal brunch items! The parmesan truffle fries were seasoned perfectly. Oh to top it all off they support their military, our $76 billion dropped to $36 after their military discount! definitely coming back here 🤞

This review is strictly on the pastries. This is my go to place for cookies. They have been consistent for years!! My latest purchase was a cinnamon roll (only available on the weekends) Chef's Choice (Raspberry Swirl) cookie, and Dubai Chocolate cookie. The cinnamon roll screams cinnamon. It has hints of tang not sure if it is sour cream or buttermilk. The texture is soft and pillowy. You need a knife and fork. It's not the typical "unravel the roll" bread texture cinnamon roll. The glaze seems like it's a powdered sugar glaze not a thick cream cheese frosting. I like that it stands apart from traditional cinnamon rolls. The raspberry swirl cookie was a nice sugar cookie with the addition of pockets of raspberry powder I assume. It has a nice pungent tart taste. The texture, A1! Crispy edges, nice soft middle. Then I tried the Dubai Chocolate. I almost didnt purchase it because I thought it was a chocolate chip cookie with pistachios. Nope the mgr explained it had pistachio paste and kattafi in the middle. Oh! That's unique haven't seen this in a cookie. I was over the dubai chocolate craze. It has been a disappointment until today. It seems that the cookies are rolled in chopped pistachios which adds to the texture. Then inside it looks like chocolate chip wafers then pistachio mixed with kattafi. Very nice cookie it's not too sweet well balanced. They have the textures on lock. I love their creativity and consistency.

This was my first time dining at dinner. We walked in and asked for a table of 3. Justin was our server that evening - he was very attentive and also very considerate. My family and I were really glad with his service because of his attention to detail, but also giving us the space we wanted. He gave us great food suggestions and his own personal favorites that we ended up liking. We will definitely come again when the weather gets warmer.

Thee while pomace from entrance to seating was aesthetically pleasing. The service was great, they're very accommodating and attentive. The did was great! They have a cookie shop out front and if you go I would highly suggest trying the Jalepéno Corn bread. That was 10/10.

Easily one of the best restaurants at Pike and Rose is Summer House. It has beautiful and spacious indoor and outdoor seating, the food is delicious, and the staff are friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. If you want to plan a larger gathering, the event manager is professional and helpful. I'll be back again.

Amazing food and service!! If you have to eat gluten free this restaurant is a must visit. Our server was very knowledgeable about what dishes could be made gluten free and explained the steps taken to avoid cross contamination. Dishes also come out labeled with an allergy marker so you know it is correct. I got the Parmesan truffle fries as an appetizer, gluten free fried chicken as an entree, and the gluten free cookie for dessert. I was very happy with all the food and would love to come back and try more!

Had a wonderful brunch here with several friends on a sunny afternoon! The food was delicious, and the service was great. Really loved the indoor/outdoor atmosphere when they lifted the walls up (it was a beautiful day). We will absolutely go back!

This is a beautiful, slightly upscale restaurant with great food and amazing service. I celebrated my birthday here with my friends and the staff had a signed birthday card waiting for me. I liked that we were allowed to take our time and have a lovely dinner. The menu has everything from beef Bourgogne to tacos and pizza. The beef was tender and tasty. The pizza had a light, thin crust. The tacos were elevated, and the guacamole was first rate. The chocolate cake I got for my birthday was moist and SO delicious. The atmosphere is casual but not wear pajama pants casual. The service was wonderful. We parked in the garage next door, and it only cost $5. The street was all lit up outside, making it very festive.

The star of the savory show was undoubtedly the oversized, packed prosciutto and basil pizza. "Oversized" was no exaggeration; this was a generous pie, promising hearty slices. The crust, clearly hand-tossed, had that perfect balance of crisp chewiness that only a well-made dough can achieve, with just the right amount of char on the edges. What truly impressed was how "packed" it was – generous, savory slices of prosciutto covered the surface, offering that wonderful salty, slightly sweet cured meat flavor in every bite. Fresh basil leaves, liberally scattered, brought a bright, peppery aromatic lift, cutting through the richness of the meat and cheese. Accompanying the pizza was an elegant asparagus salad with seared tuna steak. This dish was a refreshing counterpoint to the richness of the pizza. The asparagus was likely blanched to a perfect al dente, retaining its vibrant green color and crisp texture. Nestled amongst the asparagus spears were slices of seared tuna steak, cooked to a beautiful rare, with a firm, flavorful crust giving way to a tender, rosy interior. It was a well-balanced and sophisticated salad. Finally, for dessert, a truly delicious cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries. The cheesecake itself was wonderfully rich and creamy, with that perfect dense yet smooth texture that defines a well-executed cheesecake. It wasn't overly sweet, allowing the subtle tang of the cream cheese to shine through. The fresh strawberries, glistening and ripe, were the ideal accompaniment, offering a burst of natural sweetness and a hint of tartness that cut through the richness of the cake. It was a classic pairing done exceptionally well, leaving a truly delightful lingering taste.

A very nice and trendy spot with a superb service and attention to details starting from the wait stuff (a fairly young Palestinian lady whose name is evasive at this time), the food runner and Chelsea, the restaurant manager. The food is being prepared with fresh quality ingredients and served to the table in a very reasonable time without a long wait despite being quite busy (6:30 PM time this past Sunday 5/12). Will make sure to come back as dinner got disrupted by a fire alarm triggered by the upstairs condominium.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere. Love their design! There are a lot of cookie options. The server is nice. The pancake is tasty.

First off, the bacon is excellent, I should have ordered a side to go with my regular order. Second, I am kicking myself for not getting the cookie at the very front. I had brunch there and was very pleased that it was easy to have a conversation with my friend at a normal voice, and still hear them across the table. The service was good. My only complaint was that the coffee wasnt even room temperature, even though they said the pot was freshly brewed. I would give it a 4.8 and I will go again, even if only to buy the cookie(s). 🤗🐷

We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Grace Gower and the entire Summer House Santa Monica team for our company’s Holiday Party. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The setup was absolutely stunning, the food was amazing, and the service was truly incredible. Grace went above and beyond to accommodate our team and made the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. Her attention to detail and genuine care really showed, and it made all the difference. Our entire company has not stopped talking about how much fun they had! Thank you, Grace, for making the Quality Air Services Holiday Party one to remember. We will definitely be booking again next year!

Kathleen who booked my reservation was so kind, professional, and helpful. She was able to make a last minute 17 party table work out. Our server was quick, pleasant, and on top of all our needs. Drinks, apps, and entrees came out quickly. Everything tasted great! Definitely coming here again.

I love this place! My friends and I came here after homecoming. We first tried their parmesan fries, and I gotta say those were some of the best fries I've ever had. I ate some pizza, and it was delicious! It definitely tasted better than the typical everyday restaurants like Papa Johns or Dominos. After, I had a good chocolate chip cookie. The only issue is that the service could be a bit better. It was great for the most part, but sometimes the waiter did not speak loudly enough or clearly enough so I couldn't tell if he was speaking to all of us or just one of us, and I did not get the chance to order my drink (maybe he asked one of us if they wanted drinks and then assumed none of us wanted drinks). Also, he never came back for the bill, so we had to ask another waiter.

My wife and I were delighted to attend the annual holiday bash hosted this past Tuesday evening at Summer House Santa Monica by Ellen Coleman and David Wagner of REMAX Realty Centre. Besides the company of my longtime friend Ellen's other pals and business associates, we thoroughly enjoyed the outstanding food, custom specialty drinks and hospitality of the Summer House staff. In particular, shout out to “Jesus” Justin Margot, the bartender that evening who fairly theatrically prepared and served up probably my best whiskey sour ever, thanks to his practice of using only natural herbal and flavored ingredients, he shared. This afternoon, I called and spoke with the bar manager, Derek Laden, to double check on Justin's name. Thank you Derek, for managing a first class operation and retaining all stars like Justin. We look forward to returning for dinner or lunch before too long!

Summer House is my go-to restaurant whenever I want to eat healthy. The menu is consistently fresh, well-balanced, and makes it easy to choose lighter options. I also love their zero-alcohol refreshing drinks. Customer service is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and attentive, but Ravyn truly stands out for her exceptional service — warm, professional, and genuinely thoughtful. Highly recommend for consistently great food, an uplifting atmosphere, and exceptional service.

Decent food and service. Love the atmosphere in this restaurant. They have great happy hour deals. Prices are on the higher side but you’re paying for good quality food. It took our server a little bit to start service and she didn’t warn us on an upcharge for additions to the burger. They are also known for their cookie bar! I would definitely visit again for a nice treat.

Beautiful restaurant! Food (lunch) was decent, a bit over priced (Cobb salad w/ ahi tuna was $33 w/out tax and service charges). Service was decent. I purchased cookies/dessert at the cookie bar and the server didn’t greet me AND didn’t get my order right (was missing a $6 cookie when I got home). The manger did refund me and had phenomenal customer service. Overall — I’d give it another try (maybe for brunch).

We just went there at happy hour to get some cocktails and dessert. The cheese cake felt like eating gelatin but the bartender was really nice and he made awesome cocktails.

We went there for a company party. The setting and atmosphere were warm and thoughtfully designed. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. They cleared plates promptly and always remained polite. There was a wide variety of food to choose from. Overall, the dishes were good but not outstanding. For example, the meat was tender yet a bit dry and stringy, though the flavor was still enjoyable. In general, it was a pleasant experience, and I’d like to come back on my own sometime.

Nice breezy atmosphere with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Advise looking at pics of food before ordering was disappointed in some portions. But flavor of food was good! Would recommend: any sandwiches or burger for large appetite and the ahi tuna watermelon tostadas as an appetizer.

I went for brunch around 2pm on a Saturday and got in with no wait. I thought the food was very good. If you like deviled eggs they are leveled up and very satisfying. The brunch tostadas were very good and a lot of food. The gin drink was excellent and had crushed blueberries at the bottom. My server was extremely nice and helpful with suggestions. I think she had a good amount of tables. It was a longer wait than you would expect so if you are in more of a hurry this may not be the choice. I enjoyed the location so was not bothered. My table was outside in front and was very wobbly. That is my main atmosphere issue. The rest of the tables seemed fine. The avo addition to my tostadas cost about $4. I think normally it’s about 17.95. The drink was $14. The deviled eggs were $9. Not too bad considering the location.

I got the chicken taco. I thought it was pretty average the flavor wasn’t anything special. The tortilla underneath was soggy too, so it was hard to eat properly. The atmosphere was nice though. I think it’s more of a place for drinks.

Atmosphere is amazing here, I like the open kitchen look a lot and the decor inside looks amazing, outside area/patio also looks enjoyable. I enjoyed the salad that comes with salmon more than salmon itself, salmon was okay but fell in love with the salad’s sauce and almonds on top were great! Cocktail was okay. My friend ordered meatballs appetizer, it was okay, and salad as entree which was also good. Her mocktail tasted only like cucumber yet we didnt changed it. We walked in and asked if they accept walk-ins at 8:45 since they close at 10pm on Sunday, neither of the hostesses knew what to do about it and that was confusing for us as well. They tried their best to help us and we are happy that we were able to have a table. But I guess reservation is the best way to play it safe here. Our server was also good, we asked for deserts and he showed us what could be served at that time, we appreciate his kindness but we just didnt find the desert menu interesting at all. Might come back to give it another chance. I personally think this place is nice for dates and also for groups as far as I observed. It is not loud or anything inside, lit enough and designed well.

Impressed with our experience at this joint. We ordered several items that were on point for flavor, texture, and perfect portion sizes. Their Brussels sprouts, cheese burger, sweet potato fries were all excellent and exactly what I needed for a boost in energy. Looking forward to our next visit soon.

I had made a reservation for lunch on a weekday, but still had to wait quite a while, which made the reservation feel less meaningful. The food itself was clean and delicious overall, though the portions felt a little small. Although it took some time for our order to be taken, once placed, the food came out quickly and we enjoyed it very much. One disappointing part was that I had wanted to try dessert, but before I could order, the server brought the check without being asked. It felt like a subtle signal that we should leave, which was uncomfortable. On top of that, the menus were never cleared, so we had to keep them on our table throughout the meal, which made it feel as though our table was not given much attention. I completely understand the restaurant is busy, but it would be nice if guests could have at least an hour to relax, enjoy their meal with a drink, and perhaps order dessert—without feeling rushed or overlooked.

I'm using Google's words for this review in that 3 stars is "it's OK" For me that's what this place is. It's ok. I like the atmosphere and loved the service!! Our waiter, Christian, did a great job taking care of us AND running the bar. Definitely t star service from him!! The food was ok. I think they would have gotten better reviews if I'd gotten the pizza but at 8 dollars a Taco, I really expected more from their fish Tacos. The fish was small compared to the taco and ... it's ok. Not for me but I could see why people would like this place.

C
Conor Terry

A wonderfully designed space with tons of variety on the interior and airy open seating on their porch area. Our server, Ray, was wonderful and incredibly kind. The cocktails made for another highlight, both the options we tried were good enough to order a second round. However the pizza which was highlighted as a specialty was pretty bland, hardly tasted of "wood firing" as was noted to our table. For nearly $20 for the pizza I'd have hoped for something a bit further from could have made this at home quality.

Right. So picture this: you stroll into Summer House, drawn in by the name alone, it promises sunshine, charm, and a relaxing escape. And to be fair, the place looks the part. The ambiance is genuinely lovely, like the set of a lifestyle magazine shoot. The staff? Warm, friendly, attentive. So far, so good. But then comes the food. And here’s where things start to wobble. The dishes arrive looking rather elegant, but the flavors don’t quite live up to the setting. It’s not that the food is bad—it’s just that it feels a bit underwhelming for the price you’re paying. The portions lean on the smaller side, which would be fine if each bite knocked your socks off. Unfortunately, they don’t. Cocktails? Stylish, yes. But also priced as if they’ve been infused with liquid gold. Again, not bad, but when you’ve had better for less just down the road, it’s hard to justify. All in all, Summer House nails the vibe and hospitality, but it doesn’t quite deliver where it counts most: on the plate. With so many great spots nearby offering more memorable meals, it’s tough to make a case for coming back, unless you are a wealthy squirrel

If you're a foodie, I would not recommend. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is good, the menu is all over the place. We got the burger and special Raviolis. The Raviolis looked like a kids pizza. The burger was good but not amazing. Mediocre at best. Would come back for drinks but definitely not food. Even the pictures on their menu don't look appealing in the slightest, especially with a higher price tag. Oh and they tack on a 3% restaurant surcharge.... that you can request to have removed if you want... scammy.

J
Jesse Chang

The atmosphere of this place was pleasant. However our overall experience was disappointing. My complaints are mainly because: 1. I changed my 3-egg breakfast to omelette because I saw the next table had it. In the end it was $3 more but our waitress never mentioned anything when we ordered it. 2. The whole breakfast was made in a very sloppy way. The toast and hash came almost cold. The vegetables in my omelette were only in a small corner of the omelette. For a simple breakfast like this only sloppy training and bad work altitude could explain such a disappointing dish.
