My first time here and it was Awesome and Very HOSPITABLE, I sat at the bar, Marina was my waitress and she was so sweet. A man did help me, not sure what his name was but he might have been a manager, he was Awesome as well. I had the beef fajitas and queso. It was Great. Thank you!!!!
I had been passing this place for over 3 years. I always wanted to stop in. I finally stopped in, I've been looking for some good enchiladas. They didn't disappoint me at all. I was very very impressed with the flavor and taste of the enchiladas. Also, they serve lunch until 4pm. So, I was very happy with that. I stopped in about 2 weeks ago, for their happy hour margaritas. The taste was a little different from what I'm use to for a strawberry margarita. But, it wasn't bad. I'm definitely coming back to try their other lunch menu items. Oh before I forget. The best Chip and Salsa that I've ever had out of the 3 other Mexican Restaurants that I've been to.
The margaritas are really good. We also had some steak nachos and they hit the spot. Our server was great.
Our waiter, Eric, was AMAZING! GIVE HIM A RAISE!!!! He was knowledgeable about everything they had and was quick to serve us. The food was very good and flavorful. I think chips were a little thin but it's fine. Was a little expensive; 175 for 5 people but also we ordered drinks and a bunch of other things. Overall, great experience and good food for a rare birthday dinner. 5/5 :)
I ordered the tilapia and rice plate via a food delivery service and was pleasantly surprised! I was not expecting the mixed veggies or the tortilla chips (was not in food description) but both rounded out my meal in a good way. I’ve been coming here for over two decades and never stray from my enchilada meals, so glad I did today.
The enchiladas are really good. The queso is not to my liking but my wife likes it. The complementary salsa is good, has a little kick and is served warm.
Decent mexican food and chips/salsa. Enchiladas were a bit bland and chees not fully melted. Service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was not too busy. They have a real nice looking patio to eat outside. Prices are real reasonable Would come back for the patio if its dog friendly or if its a convenient location. But ghere are other mexican options in area that taste as good or better.
I was in the area and curious about what this place would be like. It was encouraging until it wasn't, but then made right. It was still early and the restaurant wasn't busy yet. I started with sweet tea, chips and salsa served warm. Looking over the menu, I was wanting a stuffed Chile Relleno. My server, Ruben, suggested the Durango as it includes the Relleno with a Cheese and a Chicken Enchilada, plus a tostada. While my plate was being prepared, I enjoyed the thin chips and warm salsa. My sweet tea never git lower than half full without Ruben refilling it. Once my dinner was served, I was enjoyed eating the enchiladas, rice, and beans. I then turned my plate around to dig into the Relleno. As soon as I cut open Relleno, there was a peculiar smell. I proceeded to try the first bite and immediately knew something was spoiled. That completely killed my appetite. I brought it to the attention of Ruben who tried assure me that everything was fresh but my taste buds knew differently. Soon the manager came to ask me what I thought was wrong and I explained that there was something rancid about it. All said and done, they took my plate to the back and when I received my bill, it was reduced by 50%. The service was great and with exception of the Relleno, the food was too. Unfortunately, I left with a bad taste but satisfied that the settlement was fair. I'm sure they will be double checking what is serve in the future.
We almost did not go, because there were so many mixed reviews. That would've be a mistake. Ruby our server was very accommodating! She made up what she didn't know by always being honest thanks then finding out the answer! I think it is tragic they aren't utilizing there patio. But the food was really good! The queso with ground beef all the way to the margaritas! Frijoles is a great find for us! The atmosphere was laid back traditional cantina vibe.
Love this place food has always been great! Today went in for lunch and my service was the worst I’ve ever had here. One gentleman had to walk in the kitchen and ask to be seated at a table.. do better
Honestly not impressed. The tortillas are store bought and the queso was really bland and had a watery canned taste and texture. Great happy hour special on draft negro modelo. Got the fajitas with beef and pork, and they were just okay. The salsa was warm and good, but the chips were mediocre. Overall just okay, no real reason to return. Service was great, atmosphere was fine, beers were good.
Well I hate to not give 5 stars because the food was pretty good, but our server was absolutely terrible, inattentive and rude. We did not come once after dropping our food off to check on us, we had to call him on 3 occasions for refills, then had to ask the host to please go find our server and we wanted to get a box and the check, she came back and said he was on his way, then he went to 2 more tables and serviced them, mind you he only had 3 tables and the restaurant was absolutely not busy, he still proceeded to pass by our table 2 more times after the host had said we needed him, had to personally stop him as he passed by to ask for the box and check. Took a very long time to drop the check off and had such an attitude about it, he did not make us feel welcomed one bit. Hopefully management sees this and they can talk to their employees about customer service. We had the booth almost right in the entrance by the host today Sunday
Nachos consisted of ten - yes, you could count them - tortilla chips. It was more of an appetizer. The salsa that came with the complimentary chips tasted like tomato paste. I notified the waitress. She apologized and was kind. Atmosphere was lovely. For the price, the nachos were not worth it. In the end, it was hot outside, so my father-in-law was satisfied that there weren’t more nachos on his plate.
I have been in Texas 10 yrs. This is the first Mexican Resturant to make me feel less than ..After being overlooked for service ( I was there before others) I just got up and walked out quietly.. I will never know how the food is or the Service level..
Staff was friendly enough and food came out quickly. What scares me away from a repeat is an added 50% gratuity without saying anything and then prompting you to leave another tip. Extremely shady and to me is hoping you just throw up your hands without disputing the receipt.
I saw this location while driving down the road and HAD to stop in. Unfortunately, it left a lot to be desired. The enchiladas were tiny and the meat (ground beef) was nothing to write home about. The grande burrito was nothing compared to what we've had at other locations size and taste- wise (also ground beef). The fajita was just okay and the veggies were 95% onions with 5 slices of bell pepper thrown in for visual. The service was decent until we got our food. Only checked on once before time for the check. I will say, the outside dining was nice on this early May day. We will not be coming back.
