Always a treat. Some of the dishes are straight from the depths of my memories growing up in France (anchovies on buttered bread, aioli…), just more refined and perfectly executed. Others are inventive and refined takes on classics. Several are perfect to share. Host and chef are lovely people and focused on delivering a wonderful dining experience. Easily our favorite restaurant in the area.

The restaurant is tucked away in North Salem. Recommended by someone on Westchester Foodies group. Reservations required a few weeks ahead as it fills up fast. Food is 'ex-quiz-it'....the appetizers were phenomenal...we got foie grass and escargot. The drinks nice. Star was the fish for 2. So well done. Dessert was the bomb....it was melted chocolate...some popping rice...or quinoa and ice cream...want to go everyday but it's an experience and very nice. Recent visit was 06/29/25 and we tried the lamb. It was so well done...had some pea puree which added a freshness and lightness to the lamb. Meat itself was 'tender'. Overall experience still a 5 star place with great service and experienced wait staff.

Everything, top to bottom delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and calming. We have been to Le Bastide and Cenadou a few times now. We can't say enough about the excellent service and innovative delicious food!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Cenadou. Cenadou is a small restaurant located in North Salem serving excellent French fare. The small but diverse menu has many interesting options and each dish is well prepared and presented. Service was slow but attentive. The room is attractive and we received a warm welcome.

Great place with amazing food! Steak for two was delicious and is more like a steak for 3 or 4.

What a fantastic addition to the local restaurant scene! The food was all truly delicious - (especially the duck breast!!), the wine selection fantastic, and the team were friendly and professional. Manager Elena spent the evening attentively accommodating her guests and making sure the service ran smoothly. Her and her husband chef Andrea have clearly put their hearts into this restaurant - I can't wait to return!

Cenadou is a charming French bistrot that has quickly garnered praise since its opening. Helmed by Chef Andrea Calstier, who has Michelin-starred experience, the restaurant offers a refined take on Provençal cuisine. The intimate space combines a rustic, farmhouse ambiance with high-end French dining, attracting both locals and visitors. Diners often rave about the rich yet balanced dishes, such as the Hudson Valley foie gras terrine, duck breast with figs, and steak frites. Desserts like the Mille-Feuille Banofee and crispy profiteroles are also standout options. The restaurant’s cozy, glass-enclosed kitchen adds to the experience, offering a glimpse of the culinary magic in action. The quality of food, wine, and service makes it a worthwhile splurge, especially for special occasions.

I normally don't wake up dreaming about the sea bass I ate the night before, but, WOW, this sea bass was off the charts delicious! Not only was our main course SO, SO good, our mussel appetizer was just superb (and enough for two to share!). The mussels were huge! Sadly, we don't normally eat desserts, but the next time we return, we will make an exception! Customer service=👍👍👍👍👍 Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly! We met the owner as well, who was just incredibly lovely! We’re so happy to have tried the bistro, and we will be back for sure. We’re also excited to try their recently awarded Michelin star restaurant which is attached to the bistro. Total gem in the heart of Westchester.

What a stunning gem of a restaurant! This brand-new building is perfectly nestled in a little sloping hill. The scenery around is beautifully framed. The cocktails are fun and the food was fantastic. Everything there is considered, from the materials of the space to the butter served with the homemade bread. Definitely go :)

Incredible dining experience at Cenadou. My wife and I decided to bring my family there visiting from France for my mom’s birthday, we had an absolute blast. Food was impeccable, very extensive wine list and the service absolutely perfect. The wagyu entrée will blow your mind, put also the panisses, simple and perfectly executed. I’ve had the chance of trying the Black Sea bass also, it was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for a true French/Provence culinary experience, make sure you dine at Cenadou. The area was missing an authentic French restaurant and I cannot wait to see Chef Andrea Calstier thrive up there. Follow them and support them! Cheers and congrats!

What an amazing experience last night. It’s so nice to have a traditional French restaurant in Westchester County. Everything was fabulous from service to food to ambience. The property is beautiful. They’re opening up a tasting menu restaurant downstairs that’s going to be awesome. I’ve been in the restaurant business for a long time, so I really appreciate what they are doing. The food is spectacular.

What a special place to take someone to spoil them for dinner. We were party of 4 and try many things off the menu. We had the anchovies, Foie gras ( our daughter said it was one of the best she had), and escargots. Everything came with yummy bread. For main course, we had the pasta (wow! It was good!), the steak frites, and the black bass ( cooked perfectly!). We ate everything but wanted to try dessert. We loved the profiteroles (had to get a second one) and lemon (light and perfect to end a lovely meal). Loved watching the chefs moving around in the open kitchen. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

I can't say enough great things about this little neighborhood gem. Everything exceeded my expectations. It was like have a meal in Paris. All the flavors of each dish was perfectly balanced. And the French fries were true perfection! My second time back to Cena Dou and still give this place a 5 out of 5! We had the seabass for 2, and the preparation and presentation was a true work of culinary art! So glad this is my neighborhood gem.

Had such an incredible time here celebrating my birthday. A beautiful place with five-star rack of lamb entree, ile flottante meringue and crispy profiterole desserts, and the Lily cocktail. A very unique escargot and cod curry dish. Generous outdoor seating in the middle of a meadow that makes you feel like you’re out in the French countryside. Indoors has a cozy yet trendy feel and you can watch the chefs cook in the open kitchen. You really feel like you’re in Napa or a small French village, somewhere far, far away from NYC. Can’t wait to come back again and try more entrees. The ideal place to celebrate. 5 stars!!!

Cenadou is a beautiful addition to the Westchester dining scene, a stone's throw from the Connecticut border. As much as I've been dying for this place to throw open its doors, I'm pleased that the owners took the time to nail the details instead of rushing to meet some arbitrary opening date. The bistrot is beautiful and welcoming, well appointed while unassuming in classic understated French chic. The wait staff is lovely, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy or making you feel rushed. Fresh flowers gracing each table were an elegant touch. As a picky pescaterian, I ordered the tasty tuna tartare appetizer and medium-rare halibut and was not disappointed. I usually go for cocktails but selected the Sancerre instead. I'm looking forward to stopping in at the bar after work one evening to explore the cocktail menu. And I can't wait for the fine dining component, La Bastide, to open in the coming weeks. I hope this level of service and execution continues after the heady days of post-launch effort and excitement wear off. But given chef Andrea Calstier's impeccable pedigree along with general manager Elena Oliver's front-of-house expertise, I would be surprised if Cenadou and its soon-to-launch sister offer anything less than the best.

An absolutely stunning dining room welcomed us. The meal was on par with that of a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Manhattan within 6 weeks of opening. I loved every aspect of the meal. I found the food to be prepared with the care and time I expect when I go out to dinner. We hope to return next week to explore the rest of the menu and are looking forward to the opening of the Tasting Menu restaurant!

We have been anticipating the opening for months and it did not disappoint. The food, service and timing were excellent. The waitress offered recommendations that enhanced our meal and one of the owners kindly introduced herself. The open kitchen concept (you could see the nice calm and deliberate work of the chefs, food did not sit long under the lights, it was clean) added to the positive ambience and experience. Our only suggestions- perhaps more bread, alas Americans love French bread.

We drive 90 minutes from Manhattan to enjoy the cuisine at Cenadou! Everything is delicious- from the aoli veggies, panisse, foie and terrine to mussels, duck, fish and steak frites - the best dessert is the millet-feuille, which is the BEST we’ve had outside of Paris! Order ahead as they only make 2-4 a night 😋

Absolutely beautiful location and small restaurant space. The food is incredible-peeky toe crab in a small pastry with passion fruit was melt in your mouth. Very kind and accommodating staff-family member with autism and they made something just for her. So appreciated.
