My wife and I met a friend here for dinner and had an amazing meal. I had the sea bass and it was the best sea bass I’ve ever had. My wife had the short rib ravioli and it was also delicious. We had carrot cake for desert and it was fantastic! The service was also very good!
From Aug 2023: I recently dined at your venue & was blown away. The service was on point. The flavors of the food were exquisite. The cocktail ( cosmopolitan ) & Malbec were delicious. I absolutely loved the ambiance. It was honestly so romantic. It wasn't noisy or quiet; it was just right. I highly recommend this venue to anyone in the Cypress area. YELP - five stars ✨
Atmosphere and staff were excellent, presentation of meal was as you expected from a fine dining experience, this particular night my meal was not over the top as I have come to expect. The gulf Red Snapper its self was mediocre at best, the rest of the meal and dessert were exceptional.
Great spot for large parties. Food, service and drinks are always on point and staff is attentive and kind. I've been here for dinners and for large parties and they handle both with ease. I recommend making a reservation to ensure you have a seat as they get BUSY.
It was absolutely amazing. Our waitress/bartender was great. Has amazing recommendations and was so sweet. So funny too! I will definitely come again. I believe it was the manager who came by as well. He was very helpful and was very kind. The food was great, and of course they made it special for our friends’ birthday. 💗
We absolutely loved the food, atmosphere and most importantly, our service from Neri was second to none! She definitely deserves a raise for her professionalism and knowledge. She explained everything to us thoroughly and answered all of our questions! She checked on us all night! We don’t have to go looking for her! Love this place! We will coming back that’s for sure!
Came here for a birthday dinner. The place is beautiful, when we arrived it was pouring and there was a gentleman walking people in with umbrellas which was very nice detail. The place is massive with plenty of seating throughout, they have a beautiful center bar which was nice. The service was good but I do feel like both drinks and food were a bit delayed, the food came out and everything was delicious. We enjoyed the experience.
First time coming in this restaurant for my brothers 21st birthday. We had reservations for 3:30pm but they were able to get us in earlier. Daniel was our server he was outstanding his customer service was exceptional he went above and beyond. Very professional, always smiling, and very knowledgeable when it came to their menus. The food oh my goodness delicious and big portions we definitely had to get to go boxes. My family and I will definitely be coming back to will ask for Daniel as our server. Thank you Daniel for making our experience worth the while.

Wonderful evening celebrating a friend. Food was good - all our menu options were delicious. Just wish they’d turn the lights up a bit. You shouldn’t need to use your phone light to read the menu. That’s just a bit too dim, IMO.
Decided to try here as they had a very nice Houston Restaurant's Week Menu. We were not at all disappointed in the food, service or atmosphere. Very polite and caring team of servers who it seems work together to make each customer feel appreciated. The indoor decor was reminiscent of an old Italian Villa. The background music was a nice change of older love songs on Sirius XM's Love Channel. Brought back some great memories 👌 The food was delicious and very carefully presented. My hubby truly enjoyed his tuna appetizer 😄 The only thing I found weird is that the the dishes are way too big for the food portions. I get that's it's an upscale Italian experience but they were just too large per portion sizing. Will definitely go back as I'm interested in trying their pre-fixe business lunch ($27pp) and their Thursday night ribeye Steak special ($40pp) Ample parking.
Way overpriced for quality and service you get. Good atmosphere and was excited but in the end overall disappointing.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner. It's a lovely restaurant and it should have been a experience. I had the traditional turkey dinner. The turkey was good but the stuffing was very over-salted and the green beans were mushy. My friend had the filet and he said that it was tasteless. He ordered asparagus and sweet potatoes with his steak. They didn't tell him that they were out of asparagus until after they served his meal. And only after he mentioned it was missing. The entrees came out before we got our soup, so they took our entrees back and brought the soup. When my entrée came back, the beans were cold. (Heat-lamp? Probably, the temperature of the food on the plate wasn't consistent) The service was good but awkward. I.e., They took our bread plates while we were actively eating the bread off the plates. I grabbed the piece off my plate, because the bread was actually good. There were many things that were wrong with it all. It was a disappointing Thanksgiving dinner.
Suburban steakhouse good as in town spots - NOT. Look I wanted to like this place, I really did because it's not far from home. Did the low risk route by doing the happy hour check out. No bueno. Got the sliders and they cooked the bejesus out of them and served them cold. If don't get the small stuff right are you going to get the big stuff right? The server was good, the bartender was a bit salty. Actually the drinks were pretty good, I'd go there again just for that.
Very average for the price. Everything was overcooked and the service is lacking. Server was reluctant to bring bread to the table and had an attitude that we were a burden. was excited to eat here…
Very nice service, food is ok. Not very tasty tho. Our waiter may have save this rating to a 3, he was AWESOME.. That's why I gave it a 3. salmon was actually tasty...
This review is based off of the experience we had the next day. My wife and I went here to celebrate her birthday. The good was good and the service was great. She did not finish her ribeye and we had a few sides left to finish. We got to-go boxes with the expectations to finish it today due to the freeze and unable to go anywhere safely. We opened our boxes to discover that we did not get our steak and instead got some Asparagus. We are unsure if we got someone else's food so don't feel comfortable eating it. We called the restaurant to inform them only to be met with "well, what do you want me to do about it?" from the manager. We weren't expecting to get a free steak or meal but we wanted to inform them of the mix up and it felt we were just supposed to accept this. He did offer us a free appetizer on our next visit but only after we informed him several times that we didn't feel comfortable eating someone else's food.
Came in from out of town and thought we'd try some good Italian food. Based on the prices, we thought it would be above average. Boy, were we wrong. Servers didn't seem to know who was helping us. They took our order tag-team, and several choices had to be repeated so one could write it, and the other could put it into his tablet. One of our guests ordered the lasagna, and the server told her to get something else, because that was a basic dish. Another guest got the Thursday steak special (T-bone), and when it was delivered, I noticed a weird smell (almost like bad seafood). I wasn't sure where it was coming from, but when our guest took 2 bites, he quickly realized it was his steak. We smelled it again, and it was like the meat had gone bad. Very overwhelming smell. The rest of the food was just ok, but nothing amazing. Our server took the steak, smelled it, and tried to hide his expression before explaining that it might smell a little weird, like maybe it wasn't fresh enough. He did offer to take it off our check. After the meal, we asked for the check and explained that we'd like separate bills. He said ok and walked away. 20 minutes later, as he walked by, I again asked for the checks, and he said he thought another server already had us pay. We should have just walked out at that point. He then brought the check (not separated, and with the steak still on there) and asked if it was right. I again explained that we wanted separate checks, and he said he'd have to get some help. Another server came over 10 minutes later and explained that it was hard to separate the checks. We asked about the steak being removed, and he said he didn't know anything about that and he'd have to get a manager. (yeah, you should, and the manager should have come over immediately when the steak was sent back due to being spoiled). The manager came over finally and listened to us explain it again and agreed to remove the steak and chastised us for not saying we wanted separate checks earlier. Then another waiter came over and finally checked us out and stood over our shoulder to ensure we each left a tip on the portable machine. Overall, terrible service and rancid meat. Will not be back.
We visited last night, and the bread was amazing but everything else was just like the food you would find at the cheapest nice restaurant you can go to. I had the lobster (which, be careful, the price is not there it says market price and we forgot, ended up paying extremely expensive for one lobster 😂😂😂) but it wasn’t cooked right; I brought it home and I had to cook it again so it would taste good. That was the first and last time I go there. For all 5 of my family we paid upwards of $300, and most of us were unsatisfied with our food completely.
The place looks nice but food was not good at all. I went with my wife and 3 kids and we ordered 5 different entrees. None of what we ordered was descent. Caesar salad was very good though. Our waitress seemed to be in rush with us and was not even smiling but she was all cheerful with other tables. For the price we paid we expected 10 times better food and service. Won’t go there again.
The ambience and food is good but the service was sub par. It took us a while for the waitstaff to take our order (party of 2) and get our food. We had to hunt down our waiter to actually get our food while everyone around us who came in after us and had larger parties, were served their food promptly. After we received our food, it was good but when it was time to get our bill, our waiter was no where to be found. We finally went up to the bar and settled our tab. There were maybe 5 other tables of guests in whole restaurant. Totally unacceptable service for a non-crowded time. There was never an apology of any kind for the service. We will never be back.
It was way over priced and had zero flavor. We ordered the meatballs and it came with cold onions on top of them. Then they let a five year old sit at the bar.
I had the special the sea bass with jumbo shrimps , the fish didn't really taste very good , only one jumbo shrimp plate was 59.95 over price , I thought it came with a salad but I was wrong the …
All I can say is don't even waste your time. We sat there 10 minutes couldn't even get a glass of water.

Terrible. We had a large party of 14 with a reservation made 1 week in advance...the service was horrendous. The waiter was rude. Took 40 minutes to get both tables drink orders then they starting …
This is one of the worst dining experiences my fiancé and I have ever had. We dined in on Valentine’s night (probably mistake number 1). You could tell they were squeezing tables together to maximize business. The first table they sat us at was tiny and the tables next to us were (and I kid you not) ten inches away from us. I could literally hear both tables’ conversations next to us. They kindly moved us to a booth after I asked. Upon ordering our food, the waiter was very rude. I asked to hear other salad dressing options for the wedge salad and he snappily stated “that’s not possible. We don’t do that here”. Wow! Then, we waited another 45 minutes for our food to arrive! On top of that, the dessert we ordered was sold out, which they waited to tell us until after dinner. They only alerted us to this after I had asked for our dessert to be served! I never leave bad reviews, but this was a horrendous experience. I’ve had better service from Taco Bell.
Being from Texas, I'm always ready for a great steak. I went there for the first time with some friends was super excited. Prices kind of scared me not used to paying that much, but was optimistic. Wait Staff seem like they didn't care about any kind of service including taking drinks.\n Bread was excellent, so just like a Mexican restaurant that has good salsa. I was very excited about getting the 16 oz bone in ribeye, loaded, baked potato and house salad. Even\n Went the extra mile to get the 3 pepper crust comes out. Looks more like a thin pork chop was with other people. So did not want to make a big deal. Otherwise, I would have sent it back in a heartbeat, started cutting on it, and the uneven table started to shake. And I was trying not to shake it to embarrass myself so. I started kicking the table before I started cutting to blend in the shakiness, and it worked. This steak was beyond tough. If I would have had a razor blade, it would have still shook the table. I ate all of it. But it took me about 30 minutes due to the shaking and chewing. I couldn't get water refill, so I really thought I was maybe going to choke so I started eating the baked potato water shows up. I'm gonna make it. I can make it through this. I get.\n The bill, which is separate and it said $95.\n I cough up a chunk of steak in shock. Luckily, I was able to re swallow and not spit it on my plate I had water, so it helped a little This is officially the worst ribeye I've ever had in my life and I'm 46 Waffle house steak and eggs blows this place away, same thickness, I think they ran out of their normal ribeye.\n And found Something from Kroger that was on sale with the reduced price sticker. No flavor or seasoning, I tasted maybe one flake of pepper, definitely not 3 pepper was super embarrassed. They never asked how the steak was like. They already knew it sucked. And\n They got me. I couldn't sleep last night. I feel like I got got.In fact , I know I got got , i'm really thinking about calling today when they open corporate that is i want a hundred dollar gift card from amazon or cash refund wasted a $100 on something. I could have got from Kroger at a reduced price do not get the ribeye it's a no go , no go display is a no go zone salt grass right next door do the right thing they ought to be ashamed of themselves where's my money over and out godspeed
I really enjoyed our service, our waitress was fantastic. But we made the mistake of coming here for Valentine’s Day with our 3 kids. This was our first time trying this place and our bill was almost $400 due to the specific Valentine menu. The food was good, but it wasn’t worth what we paid for. We had 2 “Valentine” specials, 3 kid spaghettis, I had one alcoholic drink. And it totaled $360. I wish I would’ve come here before so we could’ve tried it without the Valentine tax. Ultimately, we stayed because we figured it must be out of this world for that price, but we don’t feel like it was.
If you're looking forward to a premium steak that is well cooked, this is not the place. Less than half inch t-bones full of fat an grissell...2" filets that are well done when you asked for medium. Drinks were okay as was dessert. Not a place we'll go back. Subpar service. When you spend $60+ for a steak, you expect perfection. This is NOT the place.
Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the rest of the experience. I ordered the steak (medium-rare), and while it looked promising, the texture was off-putting: gritty and sandy, almost like chewing on powder or fine sand rather than tender, juicy meat. It lacked the clean, fibrous bite you expect from a quality cut, and the flavor couldn't overcome the weird mouthfeel. The asparagus side was equally disappointing—first serving came out overcooked and mushy throughout. We sent it back politely, and the replacement arrived with a nicely crisped/charred exterior, but the inside was still mushy and soft. It felt like the initial overcooking couldn't be rescued, leaving an uneven, unappetizing texture. It's a shame because everything else was on point, and with better execution in the kitchen, this could have been a standout meal. We appreciate the great service and won't hesitate to give feedback directly, as places with this level of hospitality often step up when issues are pointed out. Hoping it was just an off night—would love to try again if the food matches the front-of-house excellence.
Absolutely awful. Went for valentines dinner and they were out of the meals THEY PUT ON THE MENU. All the food we received was cold and the short rib bolognese was raw and doughy. We went through at least 3 waiters and none of them even bothered to bring bread (we had to personally ask for it). We ended up asking a waiter for it and she was the nicest out of everyone we interacted with the whole night. But poor girl had been working a 13 hour shift with no food or sleep. What an awful experience for the price we paid. Never going back.
First time trying this place out, called ahead and was there was no wait. Upon arrival the place was 65% empty. Hostess took us to our table in which we sat for 25 min and never got our drink order taken. We walked out, if after 25 min we cant even order our drink i cant imagine how long before our food order is placed. Addressed this with the manager who did offer to take care of us, but that was not the point. Left with intentions of never going back.
The one positive that I can give to Marvino's tonight is the service from our waiter, Abraham. Marvino's has just lost a loyal customer. I had the worst experience tonight that I have ever had in all the years that I have been going to Marvino's. I ordered the pork chop. When it came out it was so tough I could barely cut it. I took a bite of it and it was terribly dry. I informed my waiter Abraham and he immediately took it back. He asked if I wanted to order something else. I ordered my favorite the Chicken Marvino. It took longer than usual to come out. When it finally arrived it was overcooked and dry. I had to inform Abraham that it wasn't up to par and I didn't want it. Abraham was very accommodating and sent the manager Jose to the table. Jose approached me with pure insolence. He asked me what did I want and what was wrong with me . He told me that he had tasted the pork chop and the chicken and both were good; so what was my problem. He was so disrespectful and rude I was taken aback. I absolutely could not believe that a manger would address a paying customer in such a manner. I told him that he was rude and he owed me an apology. He glared at me and walked away without so much as a glance back. Our waiter, Abraham returned to the table and asked was everything ok. When I explained what happened he asked the other manager, Hector to speak to me. When Hector came he offered a lame excuse for Jose's disrespectful approach and said he would take the pork chop and chicken off the bill. Well, seeing as though I ate neither that's what you were supposed to do. You didn't do me any favors! I was not trying to get anything free. My bill was still $60 without the entrees. If this is the treatment that is common practice at Marvino's I want no part of it and will not be returning. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that will appreciate the business of a return customer.
I went to Matvinos on Friday night 10/17/25 and ordered two tomahawk steaks. I had guests from out of the country join us. The experience was horrible. The steaks had to go back twice because they were underprepared. I had ordered medium well, but they came back rare, bleeding. In fact, the steaks were still moving as if they were alive. I was so embarrassed because I had recommended Marino's, as I've been going there for seven years. I will never return, as the previous week on Thursday 10/16/25 I ordered one ribeye steaks Andy filet mignon and they came back charred. I had ordered them medium well, but they had to be prepared with new steaks because they were overcooked. It seems to be a trend at this restaurant. I would just like to ask if anyone else is having this issue, please post it on Google, even though the Management did offer me a discount, it still wasn't enough, for a loyal customer.
