This was a great place to enjoy a quick girls meet-up. The ambiance was beautiful. The baristas were kind and very mindful with preparing our orders! I also love the special touch that they provided water with our beverages. Which were delicious by the way! Also, I tried the vegan chocolate chip cookie and I was please with it!
The food is delicious, same as the coffee. It’s a great atmosphere as well. Music is relaxing, you can come and read a book without getting distracted. The people are very nice and kind. Nice wine as well! The arepas omg, they were amazing, sadly I don’t have pics. Highly recommended.
Incredibly impressed by this cafe! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is comforting with a touch of artistic and high end modernity. The service was welcoming and open to sharing their thoughts and experiences with some of the dishes. The menu is compiled with a diverse selection. From sweet to savory, to a unique touch of the Dominican Republic in their plantain sandwich the owner recommended. It did not disappoint! Highly recommend! I will happily share this gem to others and will certainly make a return. This place has become one of my favorites in Norwalk with this first impression. Thank you for the hospitality! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An incredible experience from beginning to end. The atmosphere is super cozy, perfect for relaxing, working for a while, or chatting with friends. The coffee is delicious; you can taste the quality and care in every cup, and the desserts are simply spectacular.
My first time at this place ☺️ and I was absolutely delighted! I’d give my latte an 11/10. I loved the almond croissant. The barista Eli was very friendly! I’ll definitely be back.
The barista is really cute. Really recommend him, his name is Elvis, I think. Coffee is great here. Atmosphere is amazing and welcoming. They really paid attention to detail when they were designing the place.
I went to Carpe Diem Café for the first time, and honestly, I 100% recommend it. I had a plantain sandwich and a chai, and everything was absolutely delicious! Service was 10/10 thanks to the barista Eli, food 10/10, and the place is super aesthetic—100/10. ✨☕️
I had an exceptional experience at Carpe Diem in Norwalk, CT. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, clean, and thoughtfully designed — the kind of place where you immediately know care goes into every detail. What truly elevated the visit was the outstanding service from Eliuska Bello. She went far beyond simply preparing a drink. Eliuska took the time to explain the different coffee beans they offer, describing their origins, flavor profiles, and what makes each one unique. Her knowledge was impressive, but even more notable was her genuine passion for coffee and for creating a meaningful customer experience. You can tell she deeply values craftsmanship and attention to detail — from the precision of the latte art to the way she ensures each cup meets a high standard. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines technical skill with such warmth and professionalism. Carpe Diem is not just a coffee stop; it’s an experience. And with baristas like Eliuska, it stands out as one of the best coffee spots in Norwalk. Highly recommended.
Best coffee shop in town, lourdes and Eli best baristas in Connecticut, thank you 🙏🏽 and also they have amazing pour overs from Colombia and Panama. The best!
I visited this café today and everything was absolutely delicious! The food, desserts, and most importantly, my cappuccino!! Excellent service — the barista was very friendly and explained everything about the coffee, including what each type is and their differences and portions — like what a macchiato, cappuccino, latte, or cortado are. The place is very nice, by the way!
Very cute cafe. I loved the decor, the bright atmosphere, and all of the Christmas vibes. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and a lemon loaf cake. Highly recommend.
Amazing place, everything is delicious, the new brunch menu is great and the service is fantastic

It's a beautiful, clean place and the decor is 10 out of 10.
Absolutely love this new location. It’s bright, cheerful, and the coffee and treats are top quality. Julie is an amazing barista!

A refreshing new gem in Norwalk! Stopped by Carpe Diem Café with a friend just to grab a quick cup of coffee — and ended up staying longer than we planned. The place has such a calm, cozy vibe with modern décor and a welcoming feel. You can tell it’s been set up with thought and warmth, not just another coffee shop.
Cute new coffee shop. I got a few pastry’s and cookies and a flat white and regular latte. It was quality coffee and very pleasant employees. The atmosphere was extremely quiet. Could use some music and perhaps a better chair to sit and relax. Parking is right in front and pretty easy to find a space.
overall this coffee shop is very cute with lots of seating! iced americano was great. i will add there is no wifi - so if you are planning to work here you would need to factor that into your choice & the music was playing quite loud (nothing my headphones couldn’t drown out) great coffee, atmosphere, & holiday decorations!

After making a lunch meet up for pizza, we all wanted to grab a coffee for the road. This was a cute pitstop! The location was dressed for the seasons and with the cute little "coffee" tables, it's definitely a spot for dates and conversation! The service was a bit standoff-ish and did take some time for a latte and a hot chocolate, which were also just passable. The hot chocolate was super thin and something you'd get with a powder mix. The latte was not a good pull and had notes of sourness, which could be under roasted or could have been more specific about the origins of the beans. The pecan honey bun was also just a mixed bag. At one point, I thought I bit into a raisin as the texture of the honey was more of a pour and not a brush. Its decadent interiors does not match its lacking menu and pastries. If they worked on their delivery and their menu, it's sure to get a lot more people in!
I drove by here last week and wanted to stop by to check it out after I checked their Instagram page. The decor looked super cute and I was excited to see an actual cafe/coffee shop since we don’t have too many of those here. I had a medium iced chai latte and a large lemonade. They were served in glasses since I was drinking them there but the glasses were the same exact size with the liquid volume being the same, despite me ordering a medium and a large for the two drinks? Not sure why that happened. Maybe it would have been different if I had gotten the to go cups. My friend said her lemonade was great but my iced chai latte had no flavor! It tasted like I was drinking watered down milk with light sugar. And I paid I think $7 for this. One other thing that happened, when my friend and I walked in, we saw who I believe was the owner or manager at the counter. My friend said hi to him and he just looked at her but didn’t say anything. There was a girl hidden by the register that we didn’t see at first who responded to us but I just think it’s a bit rude that he didn’t reply at all, even with a smile. Maybe he thought since the girl responded to us that he didn’t need to? The bathroom also had no toilet paper 😭 Just paper towels. I would have mentioned it to them but they had a line when I came out and I just decided to leave. I’m not sure but either way I don’t think I’ll be coming back here! They’ve really went all out with making the space feel big and open and I love what they did with the ceiling but overall I didn’t leave with a good impression.
$7 per drink for flavor that is bland and portions are small
Cofee is great. Also, I loved the interior, small details, its very pretty. Service is very friendly. But avocado toast wasn't good- avocado should be green, not brown and bread should be fresh.

I love this place. Good vibes. Kind staff… such sweet people. Working smoothly & attentive to the human quality. Order at the counter, then table service. The food is good. It’s a bit pricey for the ‘standard fair’… but what isn’t these days (still, it’s NYC prices in a suburb). Ownership does need to train the barista, waitstaff & cashier as to what is on the menu (& there didn’t seem to be a manager present); everyone was friendly & as helpful as they could be, but no one knew how to answer our questions about the food & had to look things up on the cafe’s website. This is, IMHO, a top down problem that begins with the owner. If not fixed it could turn people away. I’ve seen it happen before with cafes, & even worked at a similar place once that eventually ‘failed.’
This is a coffee shop I really want to love. From a design standpoint, it’s easily 5 stars. The tile finishes, furniture, décor, and painted mural wall are beautiful. It genuinely feels like hipster Brooklyn meets Greenwich, CT. The space itself is warm, stylish, and inviting — the kind of place that makes you excited to walk in and order a great coffee. Unfortunately, the experience beyond the aesthetics has been far from consistent, and that’s based on two separate visits. First visit: There was only one other customer ahead of me, and I was in no rush. I’ve worked as a barista before, so I understand pacing and workflow. That said, when I walked in, the man behind the counter (who appeared to be an owner or manager) didn’t acknowledge me at all. I stood by the register for a while — no “hi,” no “I’ll be with you shortly,” nothing. He looked at me a couple of times but never said a word or showed any expression. When he eventually took my order, he wasn’t rude, just very transactional. The coffee then took a surprisingly long time, despite there being no orders ahead of mine and no one behind me for several minutes. On top of that, the pricing is on the higher side (which I expect from a specialty café), but with the lack of basic customer engagement and a coffee that was just so-so, it didn’t feel worth it. Second visit (last Sunday): This time there was a DJ set — clearly a brunch vibe, which I respect since it’s becoming popular in Fairfield County. The woman who helped us (I’m assuming an owner) was actually very kind, attentive, and genuinely trying to provide good service. However, I ordered an iced Americano and was told they don’t make that. That was honestly surprising, considering an iced Americano is simply espresso, water, and ice — one of the most basic coffee drinks. For a café of this size, price point, and aesthetic, that was unexpected. I ended up getting a cold brew, which was decent but not impressive. My mom’s coffee wasn’t good, and my cousin (who joined us) also wasn’t happy with their experience. I posted an IG story because the place looks amazing, and a lot of people asked about it — especially with the DJ set. My honest response to everyone was: beautiful coffee shop, but inconsistent service, pricey, and the coffee itself isn’t impressive. I see photos of great latte art and reviews from people who seem to have had excellent experiences, so maybe it depends on who’s behind the bar that day. Unfortunately, based on my two visits, the execution hasn’t matched the potential. I’m writing this because I genuinely hope this feedback is taken into consideration. This is a place I want to love. But until I hear more consistently positive feedback from others, I probably won’t risk a third visit for a while.

If I could leave a zero star for the food I would. Very disappointed. I purchased a “surprise bag” through too good to go… Supposedly, it was an $18 value bag, but all I got was 2 small scones and one tiny cheese cake… I do not think those 3 items are $18 worth… ok let’s say they were … The worse part is we had to throw the food away. The cheesecake had a strong soap/cleaner taste … and the scones were hard, and dry which made them inedible.
