Being locals and having tried this Denny's several times years ago, we were amazingly surprised! Our past visits included all of the elements from every older bad review. Something has drastically changed and it's for the better. Now granted, we went for a late dinner so diners were few, but everything had become stellar in comparison to past visits! Great place for breakfast before hitting Yosemite national park. The place is huge with ample parking. The service was very good and the place is clean and fresh. The breakfast menu is exhaustive and the portions large. The food is fresh and tastes good with the right flavours. I’ve been a loyal customer for Denny since I was 17 1972 Santa Maria California. I’d ride my bicycles there. I love Denny’s, I still do. I’ve been going to Oakhurst over the last several Months, always great service. The food was good and employees were very courteous, then came last Wednesday. It started very nice. There was a gentleman sitting at a table with a laptop, computer parentheses district manager. He started sending people home telling the manager they need to cut the labor cost. I never received refill my coffee and when I asked for coffee, the Cook came out of the kitchen and poured me a coffee from the pot. It was ice cold. I decided to leave I stood up, walked to the register and for the longest time. I just waited. I just left cash down on the counter and left I’m sure if I had walked out the waitress that was sent home earlier would’ve been responsible for it. This is what’s wrong with Dennys. What happened to customer service first what happened to Dennys and why does someone the laptop applicant hours? Decide if I get good service or not this is probably what happened to Coco‘s and Carole‘s and all the other chains that are disappearing. They’re blaming it on everything else but it’s people in the mighty dollar and what’s important. It is labor cost, and not the Customer.

Worst Denny's in the world! Ordered on line and didn't get any part of order for 30 minutes past pickup time. Hostess /waitress gave me only 2 of 4 items ordered. My order of Cheesecake clearly said on receipt strawberries and whip cream. Got neither and piece of cake looked like was not refrigerated and had dry and yellow edges. I threw it out.

Wow! I have not experienced this level of disrespect and unprofessionalism mixed with bad food and higher end prices in a long time, and truthfully, never in US. No management on site. 1 cook. 2 waitresses, and some other employees with questionable positions. Everyone is clearly unhappy to be there. I was very disappointed with my experience here. When we arrived, there were no staff to be found. It wasn't until someone was ready to pay that we were seated. Right away, the server began to tell us all the things there were out of. I ordered the chicken strip dinner with mashed potatoes and fries, apparently they were out of mashed potatoes so I ordered extra fries. When the food arrived the chicken was burnt. I gave it a try but it was terrible and the aftertaste was unbearable. When I asked the server if they could recook him, he said it would still come out the same because of the oil they had in the fryer. Do they not change their oil? He asked if I wanted anything else, to which I said no. He took the meal off the tab but I was so hungry and felt that Denny's could do me no wrong, I was mistaken.

The service was disappointing. We waited 30 minutes just to place our order, and the waitress seemed to be in a bad mood the entire time.

Genuinely the worst place i have ever eaten. When we first went in the place already seemed dirty and run down which wasn't a great start. We were sat down and ordered drinks which came promptly, but then ordered food to wait 40 minutes for two of the plates and then the third was brought out at the 45 minute mark! it was almost empty and there werent many orders at all. I could hear the staff shouting and having personal conversations while we waited too. I felt so bad for our server because she was the only happy and enthusiastic person there and was so apologetic. The food was definitely not worth the wait- one of the sandwiches was so drenched in oil it was inedible and made one of our party feel sick. The burger was equally saturated in oil but somehow the top half of the bun was rock solid? Wilted lettuce, tasteless tomato, and the meat was so tough it was impossible to chew and eat. Please do not come here- even if its for the bathroom because the bathroom is just as bad- no soap but a whole lot of stench.

Where I start the bathroom has not been cleaned in months. The build-up of urine in the stalls is thick like jelly. The food was very poorly made. I have been to many Dennys that taste and look amazing, but this place is horrible. I feel bad for our server as he had to take orders and make food. While we watched, other employees just stand around and clean menus for 45 mins. There was only one cook, so food took a long time to get to us, but I don't blame our server as he was doing all he could to help. This is the worst managed place in the local area it's horrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Went to eat yesterday and the manager I assume that's who she is was yelling at the two waitresses at the top of her lungs , saying, "I'm so mad." Over and over again. We were seated quickly but still took forever to get our order taken. Once the order was taken it took about half an hour to get our drinks and food even longer. (Nobody was there but us) the server (Laurie G) was extremely rude through out the whole time. She had an attitude an seemed to barely want to attend us. The whole experience was a headache and ruined the meal. Through out the whole time only 2 small parties came in. Laurie never checked on us again. Even to pay no one was there but we still had to wait to do that. 2 customers walked out because they were never helped. All the food was sloppy and unappealing. Very bad experience

The servers here need to have a better attitude! Never have I ever had this kind of rude attitude from any Dennys servers anywhere in the US! Hire better staff! The food was ok but so late and they brought mine then a few minutes later my husband's and the kids order was wrong so they had to take it back. The silverware was dirty. All 4 sets were gross. Once we got our food the biscuits were non edible, they were hard as a rock. The eggs were way undercook. The staff were literally talking on the phone while cleaning tables. If you want a decent meal go somewhere else. We wished we would have went elsewhere.

Stop by there after visiting snow park all day. It wasn’t busy like the usual I been too because it’s the first time i been there. Was hoping to enjoy a family evening dinner and when water came the cups seem very dirty that my husband went to the car to grab us water bottle instead. Then when the food came the fries look over done hard, the buffalo wings look over burn. The zest nachos didn’t look good has other locations. First bite on the buffalo wings and you can taste the burn. Told the service but he seem like he didn’t know what to do. Came back to tell us that their oil hasn’t been change so it made the food over burn look and told us they will bring out new one. Couple minute here comes the new buffalo wings and it look way difference then the first one. Try a bite and it was cold. I don’t know what happen there if they were mad and didn’t want to cook it no more and just microwave 30 second but I couldn’t eat that. This is the first time I had to waste so many food. The eggs had some black pan grease to it, the sausage was not even done cooking, bacon was over cook. Everything was just ruin for that night but I didn’t want to leave without paying even when the customer service was weird because he seem lost a bit. Food was just horrible. Having to leave those food untouch and hurry home because of how horrible our food was. Don’t think I’ll come back to that dennys. There is some difference picture I took of the wings.
