Food is delicious. Place is very nice. Service is great. Here is everything we tried and our rating: - Sweet potato gnocchi : very flavorful! The eggplant and hazelnut sauce base is creative! Solid 5/5 - Empanadas: must try. We ended up ordering 2 rounds of these. The frying makes it a little heavy but the taste and the aioli dip are divine. 6/5 …awesome! - Tumaco ceviche: interesting acidic flavors. The crispy plantain chips were the highlight for us. 3/5 …the acidity wasn’t hitting right but it’s still really good. - Carpaccio: the sweet tangy sauce makes this really nice. 3.5/5
Beautifully decorated with local Columbian history and traditions on display in a modern, upscale way. Staff is as amazing as the number of times they use the word. Food is craveable and leaves you planning a return visit halfway through the meal. I appreciate when chefs can add a twist to traditional meals without losing the core foundation of it, the essence of the experience and the flavors. So well done, Chef!
My socks are all the way in Berkeley because they were KNOCKED off. The depth of flavor and creative surprises of sweet and savory in these dishes was like finding a new religion. A truly joyous culinary experience. Our queen Jackie was so wonderful and served us up some lovely recommendations. Celery root is now a staple in my home kitchen. Thank you. 🙏
The short rib shareable was incredible. The drinks were good though I didn’t know exactly what I was ordering. The atmosphere was so cool - glad we stumbled upon this place!!
Wow! What a great place to try Columbian food. We had the ceviche, Brussels sprouts and the bisteak on garlic mashed potatoes. ALL excellent! The server was friendly, attentive and responsive. I will be back!
Excellent food, the ceviche is all incredible. They had a huge selection of drinks. It was great to visit in December, they had holiday themed options and we shared an incredible steak.
Absolutely wonderful experience at Parche. First time here, my mom and I came for a late lunch. The owner or manager was at the front, very friendly and sat us and brought water. The wait staff was lovely, explained a few menu items (I'm not super familiar with Colombian food), and gave recommendations. Ordered drinks and entrees - everything was beautiful. From the glassware and dishes to the drink garnish to the plating of the food. Entree sizes were bigger than expected, and we finished every bite - it was all so delicious. Kind, knowledgeable service, cool atmosphere, delicious drinks and food. Will be coming back!
Honestly, I was blown away by Parche! A friend had gotten me a gift card for my birthday as I am gluten-free, so I went going in with no expectations and sat with a friend at the bar with no reservations. Our bartender was great! She helped us order and recommended DELICIOUS drinks! Como un lulo and Molienda (We also yapped forever and she refilled our waters and didn't make us feel like we had to leave, although we were more than willing if they needed our seats.) We ordered the Tumaca Ceviche as was the bartender's recommendation and it was so delicious we drank all the broth. The patacones, which came with delicious salsas and sauces, and the Pesca Samira which was sooooo good! We also ordered the Arroz Attollado which actually was way too much even though it was all good so I brought that home for leftovers which which great the next day! We were so full we didn't order dessert! I think the candela would be a better drink with dessert or on its own as the cinnamon was a bit strong with fish, as that was our second drink of the night we probably didn't even need it. Otherwise, no notes! The space was beautiful, the bartender gave great service to us, and the vibes were great! Felt like such a nice Oakland Friday night and such a great surprise.
Amazing food, amazing ambiance. The ceviche was truly life changing. Trout with squid ink, mango puree, crispy salmon skin + plantains for dipping 😱 textures 10/10. The flavors were tropical like a ceviche should be, but still unique. Best ceviche I’ve ever had. I wish I was kidding but the waiter asked if we were done as I was scraping the plate, plantain in hand. I had to forfeit the remains. Crispy chicharrones were probably my favorite dish. They were paired with quite an acidic sauce and I think it really added depth to the meat. We got into brussel sprouts from teleferic and therefore also have high expectations for them. And parche’s did not disappoint whatsoever. Every single brussel sprout was evenly crispy and caramelized. The posta negra was a braised short rib with the most beautiful sauce combo — some typical sweet meat sauce with yuca-coconut mash???? Hello??? Absolutely insane. Coming from somebody who doesn’t even enjoy coconut. The meat was sooooo tender too oh my god For dessert, we got the oblea Santander which was like a layered cookie with dulce de leche, cherry jam, and cheese (we were feeling experimental). SO GOOD. The cheese was naturally sweet but still a bit savory, balancing the sweetness from the dulce de leche and jam.
I’ve eaten here more than 10 times. I’ve never had one bad meal here, not one. I have impressed a lot of people that I have brought here with me from the harden foodie to the person who needs gluten free. Their gluten free menu is spectacular. This restaurant works hard on all fronts. The service is always warm and on point. Periodically, there is a a massive breakout celebration going on for someone’s party. The mood is chill and unpretentious. Do yourself a favor and experience it yourself!
Outstanding wait service, our Chef Sing Love absolutely amazing, excellent food, with short ribs and potatoes, and the other dish was plantains with beef, incredible. Our service manager brought us the finest Oaxaca Rum, an incredible place to dine in downtown Oakland!
1st dining at this restaurant and it was beyond my expectations! Absolutely delicious food, wonderful cocktails, and delightful service. I felt like I was sitting in a restaurant in South America. Do unique layers of flavors of each dish we had was extremely memorable. No one was talking at our table. We were too busy devouring the food in front of us. The only disappointment was the plantain gnocchi was not available so I will come back for sure to try this enticing dish!
I had a really great experience at this food place and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, enjoyable meal. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy some good food. The menu offers a nice variety of options, with something for every taste. Everything I ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The portions were generous, and the presentation was appealing. You can tell quality ingredients are used, which makes a big difference in the overall experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my visit. Orders were taken quickly, food came out in a timely manner, and everything was accurate. The team made sure customers were taken care of without being overbearing, which I really appreciated. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, with a pleasant vibe that made dining in enjoyable. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal, it’s a great place to eat. Overall, this food place delivers exactly what you want: tasty food, great service, and a welcoming environment. It’s clear they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend it to friends and family without hesitation!
Came here for happy hour and was truly impressed! The cocktails were well made, the food delicious and flavorful and the service was so kind and attentive. Definitely worth a visit especially for the Yuma fries with chicarrón!
Really nice beer garden. Service was great, everyone was super friendly and chill. Had a good time and will definitely bring my wife back again
Lovely place, reasonably priced, has a cozy atmosphere and good food for a crowd. For people with celiac disease, the fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer and so are fully gluten free. The Brussel sprouts are GF and the soup of the day can also be gluten free. There are not many other GF food choices, and I have not tried them all.
This place is the Drakes Barrelhouse Leveled up! Great Drakes Beers and even some rotating Guests. The food is delicious and the servers are usually a blast (went for a birthday long ago and they beat us at a birthday Beer chug in a Flash!) My favorite part is the outside beer garden. Trees and firepits for the win!
Beer garden, with extensive outdoor seating set amidst a tree grove, string lights and bonfires — perfect for friends gathering or an intimate date. Wood finishes make for a down-to-earth and rugged feel. Alongside the beer, the food is equally enjoyable. Tacos, Brussels sprouts and Tandoori Chicken Pizza (with extra tandoori sauce) are true crowd pleasers. A good option when with a dog.
My company all hands was hosted here and they could not have been more accommodating. Everyone had been on flights the whole day and Drake's was the perfect place to gather, decompress, and reenergize. They gave us a big, private, indoor room. Nobody really wanted to sit, and even though there were tons of places to sit there was also a lot of space to stand and mingle. The space is so flexible and so accommodating. And SAMMY. What can I say. This man came to find us in the bar even though we were 40 min early. Once he ushered us to our room, he circulated all night making sure everybody had food and drinks. One thing that really impressed everyone was that he would take names to attach to the drinks, and he remembered everybody's name after meeting them once. Not only did he find everybody to give them their drinks individually but he also remembered their names when he came back to ask how they were doing. Since nobody wanted to sit down, we ordered a bunch of pizzas and dishes that we could share. He kept the food coming out hot all night, and kept the glasses full. He absolutely knocked my socks off with some of the best service we've had at this type of gathering. We spent $800 for 22 people. I think the room could fit double that and everybody would still be comfortable. I highly recommend Drake's for a crowd.
Love the cozy fireplace inside and fire pits outside during the chilly days. Jalapeño burger was full of heat, little sweet with the jalapeño jam and skillfully balanced with the creamy labneh. Super yummy!
We love coming to drakes especially with large groups because everyone can order on their phone and pay their own bill so it’s super convenient, I think ask restaurants should offer this option. However, it does make finding someone for extra things you might need or want a bit slow. Otherwise the service is friendly and welcoming. The pizzas are amazing and unique, we love the steak fries and we recently had the burrata, It’s perfectly balanced with some pesto and peppers it’s definitely my new favorite. The indoor area is warm and cozy with a beautiful fireplace. The outdoor area is large with some fire pits and it’s well lit with some stand lights at night. Dogs are welcome making this a true family friendly place to hang out!
Strolling through what felt like a small-town square in the middle of Uptown Oakland (who knew?), I stumbled upon Drake’s Dealership. At first glance, it doesn’t look like a dealership—unless you’re in the market for craft beer and carbs instead of the latest Dodge Charger. The name may harken back to its Dodge roots, but this place is a hidden gem disguised as a sudsy varietal urban oasis. I wandered into the outdoor beer garden—a wide-open space with fire pits, string lights, and the kind of gravel floor that screams “this is going to get stuck in your shoes, but who cares.” Seating was self-serve, which I appreciated. I don’t always want to be guided—I just want a chair, some shade, and something to tickle my palette. And that’s when I met my waiter: a QR code. Yes, Drake’s has joined the digital age in style. Tap, scan, scroll—it was honestly one of the more intuitive and pain-free ordering systems I’ve encountered. The menu was interactive, highly customizable (shout out to the “no onions, add avocado, extra cheese” crew), and even better, it didn’t judge me when I ordered a salad and a burger - sans bun. QR quietly let the carb cutting move in this high carb zone slide. Let’s talk about that burger. Juicy, flavorful, and stacked, just the way I wanted. The side salad? Crisp, fresh, lightly dressed—like it knew it wasn’t the star but still showed up looking good. Beer lovers, rejoice: the tap list here is a borderline novella. From hazy IPAs to malty lagers, there’s a pour for every palate and then some. While I didn't partake in the brew fest offerings, I know where I'm bringing friends and family that crave well crafted suds. They also offer cocktails, which is always a fun bonus at a beer-first joint. I gave the margarita a go—decent, lacking the bold personality I’d hoped for. Kind of like hanging out with Jose Cuervo's younger cousin - right family, needs to learn a few more family secrets before bursting onto the prime time bar scene. In all, Drake’s Dealership is a vibe—part industrial nostalgia, part modern beer garden, with food that surprises in the best way. Come for the beer, stay for the burger, and soak up the friendly, easy going atmosphere.
The service was wonderful and the cocktails were out of this world.\nIt's a lovely spot with fire pits, very comfortable and scenic.\nThe pizzas are great. Everything is so fresh and hot.

This restaurant is truly a little gem of Colombia in Oakland. The service was genuinely nice and welcoming, even though I could tell they were a bit short staff and they still handled everything with grace. I absolutely loved the presentation and flavor of the salmon ceviche. It was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. I also ordered an espresso martini; it was good, but I personally missed that little touch of Baileys to make it perfect. The décor is colorful, lively, and full of personality it really adds to the whole experience. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because my steak arrived slightly cold. However, it's nothing they can't improve, and I'm definitely willing to give them a second chance very soon. Thank you, Parche team see you soon!
I have no complaints about the food!! It’s delicious. But the wait time for the food during non rush hour is kind of crazy … it was at least 25 minutes after we placed the order , The area plate had so many butts of the squash, I’m not against being respectful and use everything and every part of the vegetable. But ALL of the squash on my plate were end parts of the squash which was a bit irritating.
Very delicious food! The most yummy shocking surprise was actually the flan. Otherwise the pork belly and pork chop were incredible. Brussel sprouts were what you’d expect. Only disappointment was the drink service was quite slow.
Went for lunch. Awesome ambiance, sad I didn’t get to try a cocktail but I bet they’re great! The ceviche was flavorful but it was mostly liquid and had only a ridiculously few small pieces of fish. Also had the short rib sandwich which was delicious. Prices seem high in comparison to the portions but the flavors are good. Service was very friendly but was only offered more iced tea after we paid the check.
This place is huge. The food is excellent and fairly priced. The service was friendly and prompt. The only reason for not giving 6 stars is the beer prices were a bit higher than I expected
If I lived near here I’d be hanging out every night on the patio! The winter salad with a lentil burger was super good. The Brussel sprouts were so acidic as to be almost inedible and other foods seemed to be leaning that way too. My friend said: someone in the kitchen is loving their sour flavors!
Classic hangout spot in Oakland! We were a party of three and snagged a nice quiet table outside before it got too busy. Qr codes on the table make it easy to order, and there are staff waiting on tables as well. Fantastic beer selection. I got the cherry cider and my friend got the pomegranate cider. Both were delicious and refreshing. For food, I ordered the mushroom banh mi. Tasty and okay. Mushrooms were well seasoned. I felt that I was still a little hungry after, and it was priced rather high.
The outdoor patio is the real star here—huge space, fire pits, and a great vibe. The beer selection is top-notch, tons of local options. Pizza was solid, but nothing mind-blowing. Service was hit or miss, depends on how busy they are. Still, a great spot to chill with friends over drinks.
This is a local original Oakland pizzeria / beer bar. You can find long list of local and draft beers for sure accommodating all tastes. The beer list keeps updating with new beers. Beer lovers alert! Bar is more of beer / wine only. Plenty of space indie and outdoor. It's actually a very good place for outdoor seating with open area. I'd think not kids friendly, it's a great place for adult gathering, meet ups and even a cozy date. Not easy accessible at all. Steps and various surfaces involved. For food, pizza are wood oven baked and so delicious. Joey and classic are our favorite. Burgers are juicy and cook to order. Burrata plate is sooo refreshing and yummy. Best appetizer to share. Service is a bit choppy and waiter dependent. Overall good. Staff are friendly in general. It's per table QR code order. It's a great place all in all and will be back for pizza and burrata.
Food was good and the ambience is amazing and relaxing! Pizza are sharable size for two so i would not suggest ordering one each. Came here twice, first time I got soup and mac and cheese and it was amazing! Second time got Pizza and Pesto basil with bread. The pizza was crunchy on the bottom and soft on top which i love but the flavor was ehh. I truly believe it was the pizza i ordered that was off what i originally get but i would go again and pick one i know ill enjoy. Overall one of the best spots in that area for food.

Very beautiful restaurant, and maybe I just came in on an off day, but I had this place on my list for a while. The ceviche was nicely presented and the ingredients worked well together, but it was lacking seasoning. I also wasn’t sure if bottled lime juice was used as the base, which gave it a flat taste. After adding some salt, the flavors improved and I enjoyed it more. Then came the chicharrón con yuca. I’ll admit I messed up here—I probably should’ve ordered another entrée instead of trying too much at once. The server explained that their version of chicharrón (pork belly) is intentionally served chewy rather than crispy, but it was far tougher than expected and not enjoyable in texture. I didn’t expect a refund or anything like that, but I do think feedback is important. I truly hope to come back and give this place another try, because I’d love to find some authentic Colombian food in the Bay Area.

2nd visit. First time, food was okay but expensive. This evening, food was even more expensive, mediocre at best and they never brought us our ordered entree. For 3 of us, a $100 happy hour quality meal with unorganized service. Brussel sprouts way too sweet. The $21 arepas - tricked out with sauce and beans, a far from arepas we had in Columbia. Can’t comment on the bistec because it never was served to us, and we had to request that the charge be removed from our bill. Clearly a popular place but for us, Oakland residents, there are better alternatives in Uptown. Not going back.

Drake's Dealership: Oakland's Beer Garden Gem
You know, sometimes you stumble upon a place that just feels right. For me, and frankly, for a lot of folks I know, that's Drake's Dealership in Oakland. Tucked away not far from the historic Paramount Theatre, it’s far more than just a bar; it’s an experience.First off, let's talk about the space. This place is genuinely massive, but it manages to feel incredibly inviting. The indoor setup is sleek and stylish, perfect for a cozy chat. But the real star of the show, without a doubt, is the o...
