Down-to-earth pho restaurant. Has counter seating for individuals. Also has some cute merchandise and other neat stuff that is not typical of a traditional pho restaurant. The taste is pretty good and fresh. The serving staff will regularly check in on you to make sure everything is okay.

Deeeelicious with really casual comfy vibe. Loved the robot waitress! And that dessert—-Pandan Leaf Coconut Waffle Ice Cream thing- wow! It was my first visit and I can’t wait to go back again!

I found this place on Google. Saw some good reviews and figured, why not? Walked in, and BAM! Skittles machine! Like, a huge one. Definitely bringing the kids next time. Then there's a Street Fighter 2 arcade, a cute little flower shop, and a merch counter – all super green. Took me a sec to process, but honestly, I was digging the vibe. I went for the monster pho – the house special with all the meats. My friend always says you can tell a good pho by the broth, and this one? Clear-- not like those murky ones you get sometimes. And it tasted amazing! Noodles were perfect, and all the meat was fresh and cooked just right – especially the tendons, loved those. Then, I had the fried bananas with ice cream. Those were awesome! They're like, little banana egg rolls shaped like mini tabletop footballs, and they're sweet and crunchy and just perfect with the ice cream. I'm getting those again.

This is our favorite local restaurant—& BEST VIETNAMESE in Oakland! Uses higher quality meats & broth is just THE BEST (24 hour simmered.) Just came back from Vietnam and I MISSED THIS PHO. Also had the best spring rolls, noodle bowls, pandan waffle is SO good. Don’t sleep on his lemonades/drinks too. As well have to call out the amazing environment, the owner puts a lot of thought into the decor and the service.

Today I had the tofu dish with the rice noodles. It was so amazing, I 100% recommend. The sauce is delicious, the veggies are fresh, and the tofu was scrumptious. If you're looking for a light refreshing dish, I recommend you try this one out! Thank you Monster Pho! I'll be back soon!

It’s been a few years, but I’m glad to be back at monsterpho new location - it’s simply the cutest pho spot in the BAY! A must-visit for all you IG foodies! I am a big spring roll girl and their rolls were so beautifully made, unlike mine -uneven and lopsided 🤣 lol. We were sad we missed their popular 24 hr beef bone pho, which is only available during the weekends. BUT their Monster Pho Combo was really good, just like how my grandma used to make it but better - 🤫don’t tell my grandma. lol If you’re indecisive about what to order? Try their Monster Vermicelli Combo or the Monster Rice Combo and thank me later! For desserts, we had their White Summer and Vietnamese Coffee Flan; which was delicious. Oh, don’t forget their cute merch!! We couldn’t resist and got a few items. 🥰 Thank you!

The food is four stars. But the novelty and service push it to five stars. The staffs are very friendly which is a stark difference from most pho places in which service is usually impersonal. One staff even teaches a little child how to operate the robot. That’s super cute. Like that a lot!

The green interior of Pho restaurant is like an amusement park. A food runner robot served Pho. The thin noodles and light soup were easy to eat and tasty. The rice plate was also good. The only disappointment was the chicken wings, which seemed to be over-fried and dry. The staff are all very nice and I would come back.

The Pho was delicious and the egg rolls crispy and hardy. The only downside was the robot service. It's cool and innovative but it takes away from the restaurant experience in my opinion (some people might like this). I would definitely go back tho for the amazing broth.

Wanted to find out what the hype was all about this place, so I stopped for a quick bite in Oakland. No wait during a weekday lunch for one. Fun and clean interior, order can be made through QR code on each table. You have to pay first and tip at the same time, which was a bit awkward for me. Ordered large beef pho with meatball, tripe, and brisket for $16 (+tax & tip came to be $20+). Service was quick and pleasant, and the food came out within 5 minutes. However the amount was surprisingly small compared to other pho joints nearby, and there was nothing outstanding about the broth. Noodles were just ok and the amount of meat was subpar. Don't think I'll be back, so many other places where I can get much more for $20.

UPDATE Called back to request a refund due to items being missing from the bag, and the manager yelled at me and said he would not provide a refund. I don't think I've ever been treated as poorly in a restaurant. He is essentially claiming he's allowed to NOT give customers what they pay for. Unconscionable and gross. **** Sorry to say that after becoming a regular here since fall, I will not be back. I called ahead for pickup today and the worker on the phone rushed me. I wanted fried vegetarian egg rolls, but he kept saying "tofu." I corrected him several times, saying "vegetables," and finally he said, "yeah, yeah." 20 minutes later, when picking up my order, I asked again if my eggrolls had vegetables in them and the worker said yes. I asked if hoisin and sriracha sauce for my pho order were in the bag and he again said yes. Arrived home 30 minutes away to find I'd been given tofu spring rolls, not fried vegetarian rolls. Also there was no bag of mung beans, jalapeños, basil and lime includee for my pho, even after I had asked. And of course, no hoisin or sriracha sauce packets. I called the store and the manager proceeded to tell me that I needed to know exactly the names of all the items on the menu and order very precisely because staff are not allowed to ask customers for clarification as they "got in trouble in the past." 🙃 He argued with me for 5 minutes and put me on hold supposedly so he could find something to take down my info. After a couple of minutes of this nonsense, I hung up. In the end I sat down to a lonelyand cold bowl of chicken pho without condiments of any kind. Counting in the tofu rolls, which i am not going to eat, I paid almost $40. So... almost $40 for a bowl of pho without condiments. And the broth tasted like sugar water, too sweet. I let the manager know I've been happy with their food quality in the past, but the experience today is a non starter. Not going back.
