Best Mexican food by far my family and I have had and Mexican food is a staple for us. Saw this place recommended to me and man, so glad I went. The restaurant is clean and every single dish is amazingly delicious. Also cheaper then other places we’ve gone to. Recommend this place 100%, never going to another Mexican restaurant again.

So delicious. Carnitas tacos are my favorite but everything is so good. Tortillas are freshly made right in front of you and that's a game changer. Definitely a place to go back.

I love the atmosphere of this place, from the cozy seating and inviting decor, to the friendly staff and fun music. The food has been amazing every time and their prices are reasonable. There's indoor and outdoor seating options as well, which is nice. I highly recommend Rico Rico!

Pricey place for sure, 2 burritos and 2 beers was 37.53$ But the burritos were very good and came just how we wanted them 👌 enjoyed sitting outside as well

I have been searching for a taco place with an al pastor spit ever since visiting Mexico City in 2017. Rico Rico has a spit!!! They also make fresh tortilllas for the tacos and have huarache on the menu. So far I have tried the al pastor taco, the carnitas taco, the fish taco , the al pastor burrito, chips and salsa, and the side of rice and beans. Everything has been delicious so far (even the beans were a cut above). The tacos come with lime, radish, and carrot garnishes which is pretty standard but they also come with a roasted pearl onion and a roasted chili (a serrano I think) which are both welcome additions. This is definitely the best taco or burrito place in the neighborhood now.

The restroom was not clean and had no toiletry. Sorry, but someone spent the nite cause it took too long to obtain a key. Food is always "good" as well as portions and prices. The downfall in cafe pools is the limited sitting in/outside with its competitors.

I thought they had delicious food. We tried a little of everything. The bowl was a great portion for $12 and everyone else did 3 tacos each about $4. My favorite was the carne asada taco and their rice and beans were delicious.

it's sad that I have to leave this review but consistency is everything all my food was Hella dry tasted like it had been sitting there for a long time very small portion. I paid for extra cream and got sour cream, which is what I did not order and when I called, the girl took no accountability for the fact that I called previously after I placed my order just to make sure they get it right

We came back to this place again for a quick lunch. I didn't notice the other menu items last time but, it is quite varied so I'll have to try the Huevos dishes (11-1) or quesadilla? The corn tortilla tastes great! Plenty of food in each taco. We went there to try out the place on a Saturday for lunch. The tasty tacos lived up to most of the review raves about the delicious taste and fresh corn tortillas. Lots of options on their menu. Small indoor seating area and decent outdoor area in an urban setting with people asking you for money. For me, another trip to Rico Rico Tacos as a destination would involve another day of the week, another time of day and being in the near vicinity of Lake Merritt/Grand Lake Theater. Allow some time to find a place to park regardless of the day and time that you drive there.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, I’ve heard some very positive things. The service was very fast, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. Unfortunately, I ordered the chicken quesadilla and found it extremely underwhelming. It was a large size, but sadly mostly empty and the chicken was very overcooked. They also forgot to add the crema. Maybe in a pinch I would eat here again, but it won’t be a go-to for me.

We have been huge fans of Rico Rico for years. Which is why I am shocked to make this review, we ordered dinner for delivery. And Rico Rico canceled our order after the time it was supposed to be delivered. We called to understand what happened and the person who answered could not explain why our order was canceled, except that they had a big order and that the manager canceled our order. We asked to speak to the manager, and she said the manager wasn’t there. And then she hung up on us. I am stunned.

Rico Rico was a good Mexican place when it opened. The last 3 vegetarians burritos had 90% rice and beans and found almost no vegetables - some tomatoes and parsley. Very expensive burritos! Cutting a lot of corners.
