Tip: If you can't finish a super burrito, order the 'child size'. Red salsa can be very spicy. Be specific when ordering to avoid unwanted ingredients.

In line I felt be aura of the burrito. So much flavor. Wow. I couldn't help but sit in my car in silence and awe of the tastes that were dancing in my mouth. I felt like the mouse from ratatouille when he mixed the grape and cheese and the food critic who instantly got a flashback to his grandmas cooking even thought l'm not Mexican at all. Or have a grandma. My first bite felt like that of a mothers embrace. I felt the burrito held me. The ambiance was felt. The service was great. Would definitely come back.
Excellent food with plenty of options, there is a few seats avaliable inside and outside but otherwise you have to carry out. Food was really good! Was about 14$ for a super wet burrito though so keep that in mind.
Food was really good. I got a child size carne asada burrito and couldn't even finish it. Choice of pinto beans, refried beans, or black beans in your food.

Great salsa bar! With 6+ salsas! Haven’t tried that much on the menu cause I often just get rice and beans and salsa but those things are very good. Good prices too.
One of the best taquerias in the East Bay. I’ve been coming here for 20 years and does not disappoint! Best wet burrito and their salsas are out of this world. My kids love this place and is always their first choice!
Best ranchero sauce I've had in my life and I eat a lot of Mexican food. Wet burrito is amazing here.
We’ve been going to this spot for many years and we honestly compare all of our burritos to the ones we get from here. We say, “does it taste like the Montclair burrito spot?” Their shredded chicken is so tender and the burritos are huge. Still a family favorite.
This is by far the best taqueria in Oakland. I’ve been going here for YEARS and it has never disappointed. I really don’t understand the negative reviews especially about pricing. Cost of labor and ingredients goes up every year…of course they will raise their prices 🙄. Super burrito with the stewed chicken is what I order every time. Never fails to make me happy and full. So so so good. Could provide a little more crema and guacamole but nothing I can’t add at home to supplement. Salsa verde and roja comes free if you ask for extras. Staff is so nice and efficient.
Best taqueria in the village! If you can't take down an entire 'super' burrito, you can always order the 'child size' with the same ingredients - it's one that I can usually finish 7 out of 10 times. Carnitas and El pastor are delicious, red salsa can be super spicy!
I was a little nervous what the Mexican food was gonna be like in Montclair having only lived in Stockton, SD, and Hayward, but this spot is great. Everything I’ve tried here tastes good and the red hot sauce is 🔥. So excited to have a spot like this I can walk to. It’s set up deli style without any seating so takeout only. You can’t call in orders, but the line moves fast.
This is great tasting authentic Mexican food. I searched high and low for a Mexican food restaurant that had a similar flavor to the restaurant my family used to order from when I lived in San Francisco from when I was 2 years of age on up to 8 years of age. Well years later I stumbled across this restaurant in the Montclaire neighborhood and I ordered a burrito. Once I bit into that burrito I experienced the flavor from my childhood days and I was shocked to find out their family business relocated from SF. I love love love their burritos and the taste takes me on a pleasant journey back in time when I eat their food. I can't wait to bring my mom here to see if she has the same experience.

Taqueria Las Comadres is a rock solid choice for all of your favorite Mexican classics. Their Chile Verde is top notch and all their ingredients are house-made and very fresh tasting.
This is what a good, standard burrito is supposed to be like. I love a regular burrito that isn't soggy and isn't dry. Their Pico isn't mostly tomato and its not bland, it was well seasoned. I love that they put just a hint of it in the burrito. Staff was friendly, I love that you can pick out the type of beans you want on your burritos too. The rice and salsa selection is good!
Got a super burrito! It was good. I would come here again.
Good takeout with fast service. Great burritos, just be sure to tell them exactly what you want or don't want in your burrito. As many times as I've asked for no rice, they'll put it in unless you watch and tell them no. Otherwise, best Mexican in Montclair, and a great alternative to cooking after a long day at work!

Burrito was very wet (maybe from lots of beans ?) and ingredients were warm but not hot. Shrimp didn’t have much flavor, flavor I’d reliant on the salsas you add from salsa bar. Has a long line so maybe we just a bad day. We did a normal super burrito with shrimp, everything it it. Also note super burrito is $18 pre tax and tip.
Generous portions, subpar food - lacking in flavor and authenticity.

I would like to leave an honest review with some constructive criticism. I ate here a lot 15 years ago and now the food is not good. It’s salty and bland, it’s just not good. Mexican food is one of my favorites and I eat all over at various authentic places. I haven’t ate here in over two years and decided out of convenience to try it again today and once again in my opinion it’s almost not even edible. Different people have different standards and clearly their business does well, if you want real Mexican food this is not the place for you.
Really surprised on the previous reviews Got a super burrito and a taco salad. Meat was old and super dry and didn’t taste great. Walking in and looking at the food set up kinda had not great vibes looking at the quality. Ate 3 bites and then threw it away.

I ordered a super wet burrito, what I got was simple and plain, and also cold. It took me 5 minutes to get home, so it did not have the time to get cold like that. While I was waiting there, another customer came back and complained about a missing portion of her order. Seems like they are not paying attention, but the prices there are high.
