Outstanding wait service, our Chef Sing Love absolutely amazing, excellent food, with short ribs and potatoes, and the other dish was plantains with beef, incredible. Our service manager brought us the finest Oaxaca Rum, an incredible place to dine in downtown Oakland!

1st dining at this restaurant and it was beyond my expectations! Absolutely delicious food, wonderful cocktails, and delightful service. I felt like I was sitting in a restaurant in South America. Do unique layers of flavors of each dish we had was extremely memorable. No one was talking at our table. We were too busy devouring the food in front of us. The only disappointment was the plantain gnocchi was not available so I will come back for sure to try this enticing dish!

Came here for happy hour and was truly impressed! The cocktails were well made, the food delicious and flavorful and the service was so kind and attentive. Definitely worth a visit especially for the Yuma fries with chicarrón!

First time here even though I travel to the Bay area quite a bit. Decided to try this before a comedy show at the Paramount Theater across the street. The barbecue grilled chicken sandwich was done to perfection. Very tasty! Definitely come by here if you're around in the area

Had the classic grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. Very tasty. You can order from the kiosk or at the counter with a person. Love the natural sodas offered. Was nice for a friend meet up on a windy Sunday evening. Whatever you do, if you drive, dont park under the trees nearby. They are filled with crows that will RUIN your car with bird poop! 🐦‍⬛ 💩

My husband and I love the melt! Shout out especially to Gabby and V. Gabby is always on top of her game, she even remembers our order when we pick up and happily gives our extra pickles and ranch:) V is always outstanding in her customer service, filling any request with a genuine smile. The food is always fast, hot and delicious and never wavers since we started going often in during the summer!

Absolutely delicious food and great friendly service! I got the Mac and cheese melt with extra bacon as well as the garlic Parmesan fries, snickerdoodle shake and raspberry seltzer water. I’ve never tried a snickerdoodle shake and that was delicious!

I’ve never been here before and went with a couple of friends and we all had something different. One of us got the garlic fries. I got the sweet potato fries and they were both delicious. I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich, someone else got the regular fried chicken and the other got a double cheeseburger and they all looked completely yummy. I got a vanilla shake for dessert and it was terrific! Small, but terrific.

First and foremost, Gabby was AMAZING! My best friend and I came in to get a quick bite before exploring some of Oakland’s museums and she greeted us with a huge smile right upon entry! I could tell that she was busy, so I was going to use the kiosk, but she made sure we knew that she was happy to help us and take our order. I felt no rush or haste to order and she answered my questions so patiently! It’s like she’s worked here forever- incredibly efficient, friendly, and positive. The food was so delicious and the music was bumpin’! I’m so happy we started our day off in Oakland here. I highly recommend!

After a long day of moving my daughter for college, this place was a godsend! They’re open late and they allow for online orders, which was perfect for us while coming back to our AirBnB in Oakland after a long day and night. We tried their grilled cheese sandwich and fried chicken sandwich, with sweet potato fries and homemade lemonade. Everything was perfect! I can appreciate a good grilled cheese, and this had all of the key ingredients: great bread, good cheeses, and the option to add things like bacon, jalapenos, and even Mac and cheese! The fries were perfectly prepared. Great spot for some really good comfort food for a very reasonable price!

The Melt is my must-visit every time I'm in San Francisco! I haven’t found anything as good back in NJ! This time, I tried the Oakland branch and went for the steak and cheese melt, patty melt, and Sicilian chicken melt. Each was delicious with big portions, and the staff was quick and friendly. The melts are just perfect, and it’s a real ‘bae’ spot for anyone who loves classic grilled cheese with a twist. I’d love to see you guys in NJ or NY – please bring The Melt over here!

This restaurant is truly a little gem of Colombia in Oakland. The service was genuinely nice and welcoming, even though I could tell they were a bit short staff and they still handled everything with grace. I absolutely loved the presentation and flavor of the salmon ceviche. It was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. I also ordered an espresso martini; it was good, but I personally missed that little touch of Baileys to make it perfect. The décor is colorful, lively, and full of personality it really adds to the whole experience. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because my steak arrived slightly cold. However, it's nothing they can't improve, and I'm definitely willing to give them a second chance very soon. Thank you, Parche team see you soon!

I have no complaints about the food!! It’s delicious. But the wait time for the food during non rush hour is kind of crazy … it was at least 25 minutes after we placed the order , The area plate had so many butts of the squash, I’m not against being respectful and use everything and every part of the vegetable. But ALL of the squash on my plate were end parts of the squash which was a bit irritating.

Very delicious food! The most yummy shocking surprise was actually the flan. Otherwise the pork belly and pork chop were incredible. Brussel sprouts were what you’d expect. Only disappointment was the drink service was quite slow.

Went for lunch. Awesome ambiance, sad I didn’t get to try a cocktail but I bet they’re great! The ceviche was flavorful but it was mostly liquid and had only a ridiculously few small pieces of fish. Also had the short rib sandwich which was delicious. Prices seem high in comparison to the portions but the flavors are good. Service was very friendly but was only offered more iced tea after we paid the check.

I understand we like to live in a cheese forward society. That’s all fine and dandy. The Melt takes that cheese identity to the next level. Well what if we are lactose intolerant? There are multiple lactose free options (cheese & milk) available on the market. Why not start testing out lactose free substitutes? Y’all already got impossible burgers which don’t disappoint. One thing - do not bring in some gross vegan cheese alternative that tastes like raw dough mixed with yogurt. Lactose free cheese is still cheese. Vegan cheese is a disgrace.

The best melted sandwich hands down. It's literally big enough to share between 2 people. The melted mac was cool, but it just needed a little bit more seasoning to add flavor and it would've been Hella bomb! That snickerdoddle milk shake though, 🔥!

Very beautiful restaurant, and maybe I just came in on an off day, but I had this place on my list for a while. The ceviche was nicely presented and the ingredients worked well together, but it was lacking seasoning. I also wasn’t sure if bottled lime juice was used as the base, which gave it a flat taste. After adding some salt, the flavors improved and I enjoyed it more. Then came the chicharrón con yuca. I’ll admit I messed up here—I probably should’ve ordered another entrée instead of trying too much at once. The server explained that their version of chicharrón (pork belly) is intentionally served chewy rather than crispy, but it was far tougher than expected and not enjoyable in texture. I didn’t expect a refund or anything like that, but I do think feedback is important. I truly hope to come back and give this place another try, because I’d love to find some authentic Colombian food in the Bay Area.

For a late night bite the food was not bad. Nice and hot and prepared made to order at 230a I must give due credit. Plenty of seating inside and out. The self serve condiment station was gross with globs of ketchup in the tray. As previously mentioned, it’s a good spot for late food and it will be served fresh. I would try a burger if I came by the spot again.

2nd visit. First time, food was okay but expensive. This evening, food was even more expensive, mediocre at best and they never brought us our ordered entree. For 3 of us, a $100 happy hour quality meal with unorganized service. Brussel sprouts way too sweet. The $21 arepas - tricked out with sauce and beans, a far from arepas we had in Columbia. Can’t comment on the bistec because it never was served to us, and we had to request that the charge be removed from our bill. Clearly a popular place but for us, Oakland residents, there are better alternatives in Uptown. Not going back.

Ordered a to go burger Swiss w mushroom and an egg. Arrived home to a bacon and cheese. The wait was about 20 min at 1am. Expected to get the order right. Wasn’t super busy. Disappointed because my only receipt was a text message. The machine I ordered from said something went wrong and to order from a waitress. On my bag it was tagged with a mushroom burger and sweet potatoes fries. Confused. The patty that I didn’t want was bland no season. I guess everyone likes it medium done with red blood but that I’d not season for me.

The food looks great, but its taste is nonexistent. I ordered a double bacon burger, and a miso soup has more flavor than that. The fries were better, but I expected at least decent burgers from "california's highest rated burger joint".
