Will definitely come back again when in Oakland. The menu does not look expensive and the food I ordered is pretty tasty. I ordered the Wonton Soup without noodles and also a Chiu Chou Noodles. Friendly staff and credit cards accepted.

An old favorite for your Cantonese noodle fix. I wished they opened until later at night because that would be the best time for this. You can also purchase their wontons frozen to make your own delicious wonton soup at home.

Juicy wontons and bouncy delicious chow fun with big chunks of bitter melon and spare ribs. Fast service, fast tea re-up, nostalgic no-no sense interior filled with mostly Chinese accidental hipsters. Park at the plaza and walk over. Can't wait to go back for lunch. Everyone was ordering some sizzling skillet thing and fried rice.

Awe, I’m devastated to hear that my favorite Chinese restaurant has closed. They made the BEST food ever🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I had the porridge and Chinese doughnut. They were very tasty, hot, and quick. Most striking for the bay area, all that and a pot of tea was less than $6! Perfect for a rainy day and I look forward to going back to try their other items!

I've come here for years. Their shrimp dumpling with noodle soup is excellent. You can even have it with wide Hong Kong style noodle! Their fried rice is also very good: taste (enough salt, never too much), moisture (dry enough, never mushy - a sign of bad fried rice), ingredient ( good amount and quality ingredient). The nice consistency in good food is why I return again and again.

My girlfriend and I just moved to Oakland and are trying all the restaurants in Chinatown, this is one of our new favorites! We got honey walnut prawns, beef chow fun, and salted egg & mustard green soup - all excellent! They have a very broad menu and everything else coming out of the kitchen looked great so we’ll definitely be back. Also, large potion sizes, great value for money. Quick and friendly service too!

Amazing Chinese food. Definitely a must go if you are in the area. I been coming here since I was a kid. And it still holds up to their large portions and good pricing. Their shrimp dumpling and wonton soup is the best! They also have a three dish deal that comes with free house soup.

Ying Kee is a true local gem. They’ve been around for over 20 years in the heart of Chinatown, serving good-value, authentic Chinese dishes made with fresh ingredients. While they offer all the classic favorites, they also cook the comforting country-style dishes our parents grew up loving — from salty fish entrées to lamb in Sichuan chili oil, bitter melon spare ribs with gravy over noodles, crispy fried fish, and so much more. Come here for that warm, family-style feel and enjoy delicious Chinese food paired with friendly service. **They are known for their shrimp dumplings AKA (Water dumplings) with the fish skin inside! It’s The Best in Chinatown! They recently renovated, so the space looks great too.

Fast service and great food. Dried scallops egg white fried rice was awesome, it looked plain but it’s very flavorful. We were so hungry when we arrived without further ado we ordered the fried rice and it’s served in less than 10 mins.

Their fish and meat dumpling is one of the best! I have tried some really authentic ones in China, and Ying Kee's still stands out. Their service is decent and the restaurant's decor is a bit old (which shows it's history), but clean still.

Good food, good taste, acceptable cleanliness and service. Parking is impossible in the streets. You need to park across in the Pacific Renaissance Plaza parking garage, currently at $2/hr. The restaurant is somewhat comfortable. If you sit next to the entrance it can get cold because of the constant draft from people going in and out. For dinner I usually get the package deal. You get to choose 3 entrees from a given list for $27.99. However rice is not included. After 5 bowls of rice, including tip, the bill came out to $46 for two people. It appears that the business is closed early due to the pandemic. The owners were already rushing to close at 6pm on a Saturday.

Another hole in the wall and popular lunch place. It's not very busy at dinner time. Service sucks here, a bit disorganized. You pretty much have to flag them down to order and to get the check. They won't come by to ask if everything is ok, so you have to ask. The shrimp dumpling noodle soup is good here. I like to add some veggies to the noodle soup for an extra charge. Some of our other favorites is mustard greens, pork chop with red sauce (I can't remember the Chinese name for it), pork belly with preserved veggies, egg plants, and the crispy mix noodles.

Often take lunch here, I like their cage free chicken soup noodle, shrimp dumpling, stir fried food, and their yummy specialty cast iron pot stone rice(pork, chicken, chinese sausages, and many others.), I love best is the pork with ginger and green scallion. Price is reasonable @$$.

This place use to be famous for their "Fish Skin Dumpling" and overall the quality hasn't change. Food quality here is actually not bad, but the downside is this place can use a good deep clean and some new furniture. The experience is diminished greatly if you're sitting on a bench with busted springs and sticky tables..

the food is good to Okay. you need to Chinese for the waiters to act fast. the staff at the location are limited to handle during the peak hours and it takes over 30 minutes for somebody to come to your table and take the order from you. service is not great. the other disadvantage is this place does not accept cards for bills less than 30 dollars.

Was excited to try their Curry Beef Brisket, but it was really not enjoyable. The onions and peppers were barely cooked so they still had that raw taste/crunch and the “brisket” was mostly fat/cartilage (as pictured) with about three small chunks of meat in the whole meal. The container also leaked all over since for whatever reason they didn’t think to use one that seals fully. For a $50+ check, I’m pretty upset that I was served curry with raw vegetables and the scraps you’d trim off a brisket rather than the brisket itself. First and last visit here.

Some of the worst food in Chinatown... Tried their fried chicken wings, BBQ pork and brisket rice noodle. BBQ pork felt like leftovers and half of it was inedible. Portion for brisket was pathetic and tasted weird. Fried wings were crunchy but were completely plain and tasteless. VERY DISAPPOINTED! On top of that, it was also frustrating that the "special" they put on outside their store was in fact a worse deal than the regular menu - you might save 50¢ in the cost of 25% of the portion. Can't really say this is an honest business practice. I highly recommend against this restaurant as you can find much better food and experience anywhere in Chinatown.
