Been in San Diego area for 6 days. Been at this Los Tacos location 5 times so far. Tried a few other places but this little gem is my go to place for authentico dishes. Burritos are good but the tacos are freshly made shells and toppings you like. So far chicken, fish, steak have been incredible. Went for a burrito once but why risk it? Should have stayed with my taco streak. I’m here for 1 more day. Where can I go for lunch today? It closes at 10pm so if you need to take care of a craving, this location will take care of it. Oh and the left most and right most sauces are quite spicy and delicious.

Definitely some of the best tacos I’ve had in the area. I got the al pastor and it was delicious but also very greasy. They have a full condiment bar which is great. Nice staff and and easy to get to location.

Working in the area. 1st visit. Had some Tacos. Good Asada, not a fan of the chicken. Guac is bomb. Very cheerfull cashier👍🏼. Salsa bar is stocked👌🏽 would come back to try other dishes for sure.

Had the Carne Asada Burrito with Guacamole. Tortillas perfectly cooked, meat was flavorful and the guacamole as well. Service was good and fast. Did not give it 5 stars due to the salsa. The salsa bar was dirty, with tongs sitting in the Salsa itself. It lacked flavor and spice. Next time I am bringing my own salsa.

Portion sizes were good, the chicken and carnitas were good, the al pastor didnt taste like anything tbh. They put lettuce on the tacos, and guacamole which for most is a plus but for me wish they’d mentioned it on the menu before i ordered. I wanted a burrito but they make them weird missing the things i want (rice beans cheese with the meat) and adding things I dont generally go for (lettuce salsa fresca guacamole) Its authentic but whitewashed, like the menu caters to the oceanside surfers rather than latinos who want an authentic tj taco. Overall it was decent but not my top tier favorite.

It was good, but didn't blow me away. I was pretty disappointed their taco tuesday deal doesn't actually start until 5pm. Their tacos are pretty small too. I'd visit again, but I'm also not going out of my way to visit. Their service was great though.

Really good tacos, awesome salsa bar, excellent service, clean. Not the best tacos I've ever had. The al pastor was good but not bursting with flavor. The fish tacos were good too but not great. Tortillas not fresh made that's why they have to put 2 on each taco, otherwise they fall apart.

Hit or Miss with Tacos, but Great Taco Tuesday Deals Located in a quiet plaza, Los Tacos is a small branch of a local chain. While the restaurant isn’t large, its grilling setup is impressive—you’ll immediately spot the rotating spit for al pastor pork and the grill for beef as you walk in. One of the big draws here is their Taco Tuesday special: from 5 pm to close, you can get Carne Asada, Pollo Asado, Carnitas, and Al Pastor tacos for just $2 each. They also offer a 5-taco combo for $12, available all day Tuesday, where you can choose between Carnitas and Al Pastor. I decided to go with the 5-taco combo, and while the carnitas were satisfying with their soft and tender shredded pork, the al pastor was a letdown. The pork was over-marinated, giving it a sour taste, and the grilling was uneven, leaving some parts burnt. Unfortunately, since I had chosen 3 al pastor tacos, I ended up disappointed with the overall flavor. Next time, I’d like to try the chicken and beef tacos to see if they fare better. One thing to note: they also charge an extra fee for card payments, so be aware of that.

Tacos are very good...the asada comes with beans...not alot but something to keep in mind only the asada for some reason...u can say no beans or onions...etc the prices are as expected not cheap not expensive but definitely more than your regular taco shop at the corner....but they taste much better

Food overall is good, but I wouldn't expect to get a correct order. Ordered a California burrito no pico, not a fan of tomatoes. They forgot half the burrito, gave me just a tortilla with carne asada and guac. Nothing else, no cheese or fries. Didn't have time on my break to go back, at least the carne asada was good.

Went here on January 3rd and have the receipt that clearly says visa tendered $38.77. When my credit card bill came it said the charge was $44.59. I called and all I got was, "that's weird" and told to call back tomorrow when I can explain it better to someone else. It's pretty clear on the explaination, the actual charge does not match the receipt.

This place used to rock.. We regularly go to this place twice a month, we used to love it. To me, it was the best place for al pastor tacos, but not anymore. When you ask for al pastor they no longer shaved it off fresh or by order. They have it ready in a pan. The worst is that it’s finely chopped and looks more like ground meat than al pastor. Where are the old cooks the ones that know how to do their job?

AVOID THIS PLACE. I politely asked the owner for specific instructions when placing my order, and he responded with arrogance instead of professionalism. He also insisted on speaking English even though I was speaking fluent Spanish, and it was obvious he spoke it too, which was very odd. On top of that, I was overcharged compared to the prices listed on their menu, which felt like deliberate price gouging. Given the owner’s behavior, I’d stay away from this place. If customers are treated this way, I wouldn’t be surprised if corners are being cut behind the scenes too (regarding YOUR food)...
