I went here tonight to celebrate Valentine’s day, and while some may say it’s better to go to a more private location to celebrate your love, I want to disagree. The atmosphere in TGI Fridays South Gate highly lifted me and my partners spirits, and we were met with high quality service and a great time. The energy in TGI is something I have always loved since I started coming here. Me and my partners server, Melanie, met us with a friendly smile and ended up taking a beautiful photo of us. Even though it is a holiday, I’m so glad the staff was able to provide us quality service and make our experience special.

Really good chain restaurant location. Clean, nice seats, great service, good food, clean restrooms. The ribs are delicious & I definitely recommend them. Drinks are strong & good! Portions are okay, slightly overpriced for the amount of food they give. They have good happy hour deals, so in that case it's worth it. I would come here again.

Stopped by here for lunch on father's day. It wasn't busy and we dined inside. The staff was quick and friendly.we had the sampler platter with loaded potato's, mozarella sticks, and buffalo boneless wings. The main meal was a New York strip steak medium rare with creamy mashed potatoes and toasted broccoli with lemon. The sampler had four of each item which means you'll need two if you have a group of 5+ I didn't get anything from the bar but they were relatively busy and seemed to be quite popular.

I bought this family dinner on New Year's Eve, I did an online order at 4pm for me to pick up at 6pm. We got there a bit past 6 and it was total chaos. I understand things get hectic during holidays because I worked fast food myself, but this was bad. It seemed like they were prioritizing other orders first and I noticed that my order had been sitting there after I had asked twice about it. The salad was just enough for 2 people and they gave me 2 really small cups of dressing, the Mac and cheese cups were only filled half ways each and the mash potatoes were so dry and didn't have any gravy to go with them. The only good thing was the chicken and ribs. It was supposed to be a dinner for 4 people and it wasn't enough.

Eh this place is always under staff and the food is so wack it's giving hot mess. I honesty would save my money & go somewhere that's slightly better.

Let's start with the good things. The atmosphere is so fun and lively, it's loud noise but it's very enjoyable loud noise that's very fun just being around even if you aren't participating. The cajun pasta that I ordered was very delicious! I also let my waiter know that I didn't like shrimps, so we subbed it out for more chicken! The strawberry passionfruit tea was good! The prices were pretty fair and maybe a bit cheaper than some other restaurants. Now here are the things I have to say that aren't so good about the restaurant. I ordered the wings on a monday since they were 50 cents each and I was like ooh that sounds awesome! For the bone out, we got Nashville hot, and then for the bone in we got their signature whiskey-glazed. Upon bringing them out, the bone out wings were very room temperature, I wouldn't say cold but not too far from there. The bone in was very slightly warm, almost also room temperature. They were also extremely flavorless, for the bone out we ordered their signature whiskey-glazed flavor. Our waiter asked several times if everything was fine and I felt a little nervous bringing it up because he was a bit speedy and so I just said yes, but I decided to stop eating the wings because I wasn't very happy with them. Later on, after discussing with my mom, I finally brought it up with the waiter. He was noticeably a bit suspicious with me because he asked "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" and at the time I said I didn't know but it made me greatly uncomfortable. His tone at the time was kind of indicating that I was lying to get it taken off the bill, as he told me to just take the wings home and heat them up. Then he says *maybe* there was an error in the kitchen and that he'll get back to us. At the time, I felt incredibly disrespected and I was very polite when I brought it up. However, he did come back to the table to apologize and I found myself comforting him because he seemed genuinely apologetic about his behavior and explained why he reacted the way he did. I understood why he came off like that and accepted it, I did not want to speak to his manager because I had no intentions of getting him in trouble or anything. I was simply expressing my dissatisfaction for dinner service when my wings come out basically cold. I had asked my mom what she thought of the dinner as well and she told me that her fries were a little cold but the burger was pretty hot. All in all, I don't think I would come back. While I understand why the waiter reacted the way he did after his explanation, I still don't think I warranted his reaction in any way. I will not be naming him because my goal was not to get him in trouble, but to express dissatisfaction with tonight's dinner service.

I sat at the bar had an appetizer and a few drinks. I ordered an entree and bartender never put my food in before he went to break . I watched the couple near me get food and I ordered first. The manager never apologized for the 35 to 40 minute wait for my entree.

The restaurant is at a nice site...no problem with finding it...Parking space, same as other locations(you're lucky if you find one in less than 5 mns of driving around)... The entrance was clean. Welcoming very cold and I hate fake smiles from the hostess and the manager in any restaurant. Waiting time to be seated, seemed fair(20 mns) A force smile from the hostess that took us to our seats. Cleanliness of the table can be better(it felt sticky)... only 2 sets of utensils were given to us and we were a party of 4 (I had to asked for 2 more after our food arrived)... Waiting time for the waitresses to approach us about 12 mns ( Place was not packed there were a couple of empty tables)... Waiting time for our drinks to arrived another 15 mns. As the waitress brought our drinks she only provided only one straw for 4 drinks and left right away we had to wait about 5 more mns for her to pass by to let her know we were ready to order and we need it more straws... we finished our first set of drinks and food still not arrived after 25 mns...when food finally arrived no apology for the time taken, she did not asked if we need a refill in our drinks either....my husband had to call her back as she was leaving towards another table and asked for te rest of utensils...Food texture, flavor and quantity nothing out of the ordinary, same thing with the drinks(lacking flavor)...place was very loud if you are looking for a cozy place to talk and have a nice calm evening this is not the place. Place is to pricey for the amount of food you get and the service and atmosphere.... Do I recommend this place if you are looking for average experience and you have all the time in the world to wait for your food and service plus fake smiles? Most definitely yes. As for us the experience here (for a second time) was lower than average. I'll be way happier at Home Restaurant in Hollywood now that is a great place and experience.

I came to this TGI Fridays hoping for a simple, reliable meal, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The wait for a table felt unnecessarily long, even though plenty of seats were open. When the food finally arrived, it tasted tired — like it had been sitting under a heat lamp far longer than it should. The appetizers were lukewarm, the entrées lacked seasoning, and nothing had that fresh‑off‑the‑grill flavor the menu promises. Service was polite but extremely slow, and it was hard to flag anyone down for basic things like refills or utensils. For the prices they charge, I expected better quality and much more attention to detail. Sadly, this visit didn’t live up to the Fridays name.

I visited this restaurant hoping to relive fond memories from when I lived nearby, but it was a huge disappointment. The 6-ounce steak was not actually 6 ounces, the whiskey-glazed ribs arrived cold, and the Caesar salad was anything but Caesar—it was Italian. With my extensive foodservice experience, I asked the manager to check on the kitchen and ensure hot food was served. He showed up dismissively, insisting I was the only one complaining about the dressing. After being talked over for several minutes, I told him to take the food back, and I wanted nothing more to do with it. My son's pasta was dry, and he claimed that’s how it’s supposed to be. The real problem isn't just your misleading menu descriptions but the blatant neglect of food quality. Despite our waiter's excellent service, the food was subpar and utterly disappointing. Other tables, including ours, stated they won't be returning. Management needs to seriously review your ingredients and recipes—your dishes don’t match your descriptions. These issues are fixable with proper oversight and a genuine concern for customer satisfaction, but right now, it’s a mess.

I went Saturday 1-10-2026 Don’t go and waste your money, I had to grab someone to help me take my order since no one was available. I also left my Prada sunglasses on the table and they went missing, went twice first time worker stated the cameras aren’t working second manager stated they can’t show them. The employee who help us was Carlos. I’m sure he kept them it’s so un ethical I will be contacting legal help. I want my glasses back or pay me back!!

Food was ok just like any other fridays but the SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!!! The hostess sat us down a party of two and we waited like 15minutes for a server to even notice us and when they did it was because I called them, when I did that one the servers was like “your server will be there in a bit” so we waited another 5 minutes, mind you the restaurant was not busy except for the bar area. After that a very rude waitress come asking what are we getting just like that no greeting no Hi, how are you, nothing just a plain what are you getting. I asked if drinks only or the food too and she replied in a very not friendly way “ everything I can get everything” so we proceeded to order and when the drinks came we just ask for a coke and a iced tea another server brought the drinks and you can tell she wasn’t happy because she let cups drop on the table very abruptly but anyways we didn’t say anything. We finished eating and left a $2 tip and I feel like that was even a lot for their service. All the servers at this restaurant need to smile a little bit and treat customers with respect so customers can feel welcome not like you shouldn’t be there. I am also a server and that’s definitely not how I treat my customers.

I give this spot no starts the service was crap just like the food and lemonade. Took 25 min to bring my beer and server was forgetful bartenders last night seemed like they were chatting to much and drinking with the crowd. Never will attend her ever again. Worse Fridays I've ever been too. Manger/owner needs to address this issues and get themselves staff that don't drink on the job and servers that actually know how to serve

We went for a 8pm dinner for two on a Sunday. Ordered the TBS meal and two cocktails. The menu variety and food quality has gone down so much i honestly can't even believe it. I used to come regularly when they had an actual menu. The place was entirely understaffed and our server was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. The person who seated us right next to a family with a rowdy three year old. The child threw a mozzarella stick at me but i couldn't be too mad the parents were apologetic but the staff should have seated us further away. the drinks took 30 minute to get out to us and they brought the wrong drinks. then another 30 minutes for the right ones. When they finally brought my drink to me there was soap bubbles in the glass and i ignored it drank it thinking it was froth from the strawberries. Only to burp up soap flavor later. we waited from 9:45 till 10:15 for our check. I still tipped because i honestly felt bad for the server.

About forty-five minutes ago I had one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Me and my family walked into the TGI Friday’s at the South Gate location on Firestone Blvd. We were seated and waited. And waited and waited, and waited even more for anyone to take our order; even to bring us some water. That never happened. We waited sitting down, just starring around, waiting for anyone to walk by, to give them the sign that we wanted to order. We waited close to twenty minutes in this dynamic, and not one worker approached us. Yes, we saw some workers walk by a few times, but not one approached us. In hunger, anger and disappointment, we got up and left. I’m sure no one even noticed. I love TGI Friday’s food. Love it. Too bad their ineptitude in the area or service will loose a client, permanently. We walked next door to the California Fish Grill restaurant, where we are now enjoying good food, outstanding service at a reasonable price. To management: Check your cameras. We were there Saturday August 30th, at around 4:00 PM. You’ll see us: Two adults. I was wearing white t-shirt and blue jeans and my wife my wife was wearing black blouse blue jeans. Do your job and train your people better. Your team’s service is an embarrassment.

I requested a refill of my drink from the manager, and it took over 30 minutes to be addressed. I also asked two servers, but neither brought the drink to my table. Because of this lack of service, I wasn’t able to finish my meal. The manager never apologized for the situation. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location.
