Definitely recommend if your looking for a corn dog style food (but fancier and tastes good). Makes a nice light meal after a day in the ocean, or just a quick bite to eat. Also my picky child will actually eat their food. Definitely will make you thirsty though, so I would recommend bringing some water to save money. (Edited: to add he menu photo)

Crispy Chicken wings were really good, not too greasy nor overwhelming flavors. Really delicious. My son had the Moza Sausage and he really liked them topped with cheddar sauce.

You’re going here for the food, which is very fresh and good. Unique take on Korean dogs, lot of choices. We did the Cheddar, Mott, sausage, with no extra toppings and a side of cheddar mustard sauce. The outer coating was excellent, not greasy or too thick. The sausage was a bit smaller than a regular hot dog size. The cheese was good and somewhat easy to eat, but it comes out stretchy before you get to the sausage. For fast food and a quick grab for the price (ours was $5.99) can recommend.

Right in the middle of downtown, Oceanside is one of our more unique food establishments in the city. This is my review on Zzang hotdog & chicken. Zzang hotdog & chicken is the Korean hotdog spot that is located in the Regal theater shopping plaza. They offer a variety of corn dogs & fried chicken. They also have a plethora of sodas, drinks & beverages that aren't widely known. A Korean street hotdog is essentially a corndog with glorified toppings & can also be made with a cheese interior. Typically, a hotdog will be placed on a skewer stick & then breaded in various toppings, such as fried potato chunks or rice crispies & then it is fried & drizzled with various sauces. This can also be done with cheeses, such as mozzarella. What you have is a great Korean snack that has aspects of salty, sweet, savory & spicy, all depending on the flavor combinations you chose to build & top it with. Also, on their menu is squid ink & various styles of fried chicken. In my experience, their fried chicken is actually very delicious and very crunchy! What I like the most about their menu is that it's affordable and everything has remained under $6 for the last 4 years. I feel that the only downside to this establishment is that it is a little small inside. But if it ever gets crowded, you can sit outside in the plaza tables that are shaded. ZZhang Hotdog & Chicken is very popular with the younger generation & with the military, and it is probably due to their affordable menu, fast service and definitely their location. I recommend trying here at least once when in the downtown Oceanside area.

Very yummy!! Fast service, familiar environment and great prices. We ordered the original and also a potato sausage and they were great, total was $9.09. I couldn’t finish the second one because it was enough with just one. Something great was that we can add as many toppings as we want. Great place!

This place is BOMB. Thought I was going for a typical corn dog, but I was pleasantly surprised. Super authentic Korean street dog - rice batter and dipped in sugar, with whatever toppings and seasoning you want. My wife got the “standard” corn dog, which still had the Korean street food spin, and I got the potato triple. It was interesting that the triple wasn’t all 3 inside together, rather 3 one after the other, but so good either way!

Whether you want to call these deep fried hot dogs or corn dogs with a spin put on them, they're phenomenal regardless. The mozzarella, original, and potato mozzarella are my favorite choices. If you'd like, you can have your corn dogs rolled in some granulated sugar as soon as they come out. The corn dogs can be a bit too greasy for my liking at times, but overall they're a solid place to check out.

My first time trying a Korean hot dog and I am addicted. It's so delicious! I got the #6 potato triple and asked the cashier for the recommended sauce to put over it and it was simply delicious. And it was surprisingly filling. I also tried the soy garlic mandoo and soy garlic wings. So good. The wings were huge and sweet and spicy. Loved them. Can't wait to try the other offerings another time.

These are soon good better then other korean style corn dogs I've tried in the past. They make them fresh here it's not frozen! I will definitely come again!

definitely a place to stop by if your around! lorie had great custmer service, i had messed up on my order but she as so quick to help fix it. this is a great place to have a light little snack if ur walking around or passing by. we got 7 different hot dogs all very delicious! they also mention they color the bottom stick so you know what is what. brillante!

Corn dogs were fresh hot and super tasty! The batter is crunchy on the outside but also nice and chewy too. I prefer this rice-based batter. Really good. Satisfying cheese pulls, too. I’d come back!

Positive atmosphere, I don't know why more people don't come here. The Potato Triple is one of the best hot dogs they sell. 100/10, definitely coming back again soon. If Hot Dog on a stick was still in town, these guys would be putting them out of business! 👍

This nice little joint is fun to visit. If you haven't tried a Korean corn dog you should definitely give it a try. They have multiple options so every style of corn dog is unique in its own way. I've never tried one so this was super cool to try. They were cooked to perfection and so good I almost wanted to try another one ! The service was a little slow, but worth the wait. The chicken wings were humongous and delicious. The sauces on the wings and the corn dogs are on point! U have to try it spicy with the touch of sugar to get the full experience. The water bottles I bought were the single small size bottles, and I believe they cost around 3 dollars which was absurd. I bought 3 bottles of water and my wallet shrank. The inside is a bit small but can hold a selected amount of people. The outside does have a few tables which is nice for outdoor dining experience.

Very unique place. I ordered the triple (and got some sweet chili sauce + parm on top). It was HEAVY but honestly pretty good. It's not really my thing but I'd say it's worth giving it a try.

I tried the potato sausage and added the common combo of mustard, ketchup, and sugar. I wasn't a big fan of the sugar. And the potato breading wasn't a texture/breading that I liked. I would like to come back sometime and try a different hotdog like the one with mozzarella and sausage, or one of the many other options. I'm sure this place has great options but I just wasn't a fan of the hot dog that I ordered. Everything is reasonably priced from around 3-6 dollars.
