Tip: Try the Al Pastor tacos and take advantage of the salsa bar. The outdoor seating is great, especially now that there's a patio cover.

All the different taco presentations were good. Prices similar to a taco shop. Hand made tortillas. Birria, pollo asado, carne asada, taco salad all excellent. They took a bit too much time to get our order. But, I’ll return.
Seastar Hazy and Old West WC IPA were both 5/5. The pastor tacos are fantastic. Reminds me of what you get in Tijuana. The birria isn't borrego, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. The corn tortillas were also on point. If you are in town, stop here. I'm definitely coming back again and again.
Craft Coast Beer & Tacos in Oceanside is an absolute gem! The tacos are amazingly delicious, packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked meats. You can really taste the quality. I love the whole concept of Beer and Tacos, such a fun, laid-back vibe that’s perfect for relaxing with friends. Their craft beer selection is impressive and pairs perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is lively, the staff is friendly, and everything feels well thought out. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try.
Easily one of the best places to get tacos and a drink. Al Pastor tacos hands down the best I’ve had. Tacos has large compared to other street tacos. Plenty of seating and the staff is great.
I enjoyed Craft Coast Beer & Tacos even more than I expected! I tried the Helles and the Agua Baja. both were crisp, refreshing, and full of flavor. For food, I ordered a Birria taco, an Al Pastor taco, and a side of chips and salsa. The tortillas tasted fresh, and the Birria taco was fantastic, everything you want from birria. The Al Pastor had great flavor, though the meat was a bit on the dry side. Overall, a great meal paired with excellent beers. The patio is also a great spot for people-watching or catching the sunset. Definitely worth a visit!
Seems to be one of the livelier and more consistent spots in Oceanside. Great location, big open space with seating inside or outside, and a tasty (but expensive) menu. Beer is pretty solid with the lagers pairing particularly well with their food. Would stop by again if I was in the area.
10/10! Got the birria nachos and a taco. This is how nachos should be. The vibe is welcoming and casual, indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Very reasonably priced!
If you enjoyed this review or found it helpful please hit the heart shape and consider following me. My friend and I sell steak, chicken and seafood off a truck across southern Nevada, California, and Arizona. Along the way we hit every dive bar, greasy spoon and habadashery, I enjoy chatting them with you. Parking is street parking and downtown Oceanside is very walkable with the exception of Thursdays. Thursdays downtown Oceanside has a farmers market in the day and street fair in the evenings. If you are headed there on a Thursday there is ample free parking one block away. (Seagaze and Cleveland) I went with the wife, she went with the carne asada tacos and I chose the birria and a draft porter. 10/10 is all but impossible for a taco or a burger because they are and simple, is hard. I have only found one 10/10 burger (gone now), this is the only the second 10/10 taco. (Nick's crispy taco in SF) What set this taco apart starts with the hand made corn tortilla. There is a satisfying crunch as your teeth break through it. It is sweet it is salty it doesn't just cradle the burria, you taste the tortilla first. Then comes the burria, my mouth is watering right now as I write. The wife's taco was wonderful as well but mine were amaze-balls. The porter washed it down perfectly. This place is usually busy, we ate on the patio and enjoyed ample elbow space. This taco is worth the drive no matter where you are driving from. 10/10 amaze-balls!
First Visit and the Team is amazing. So friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Food is delish and there’s a salsa bar with yummy house made salsas. I got the Birria Bowl—a great deal and perfect for Keto (I deleted the pinto beans and added more meat and guac instead of the avocado slices). Counter Order, served at your table, indoor/outdoor seating. I don’t drink beer/ciders, but others sitting near me loved the offerings. Definitely stop in whenever you’re at the beach.
Delicious tacos ! The carne asada and birria tacos were simply the best! They also have a brewery inside which gives it a different vibe altogether. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back! Yummy, yummy!
Haven't been to Oceanside in years, so I yelped a place with good beer. Did not disappoint. A lively Friday lunch crowd, positive vibes. Great service even though busy. Ordered the Al Pastor tacos. They are not tiny street tacos, they are legit tacos for around $6 each. Meat was perfect. Small salsa bar. I tried the "Oscura" and the "Shootz Mahalo" beers. Both great. There's a ton of chickens down here but I give this place a solid 8.5/10;for food and beer quality, and the pricing is more than fair.
The BEST al pastor tacos we have ever had! The pickled red onions & all the different sauces were amazing. 12/10.
Marco and Ray, two brothers of a kind, they made place very welcoming, tried the italian pisner ( 5.2 % ) smooth..the food looks tasty at a good price, I will definitely stop in again, if anything, the service was spectacular. P.S great beer.
Friends who live in the area took us for lunch and we loved it. Great beer, delicious tacos and an attentive staff! Prices are decent as well. Especially enjoyed the birria tacos. The variety of hot sauces is also appreciated since you can have mild to very hot. Would definitely return!

Great vibe..even better food and brews! The food is fresh and delicious..we have found our new fav place!
We haven't been here since 2021 when I first reviewed Craft Coast. Honestly back then my review was on-point but things have changed! Before they installed a solid overhead patio cover, if you had a table outside, you were held hostage to the sun's rays and during a hot summer it could be brutal. Now with a legit roof over our heads, the patio feels more like an extension of the inside of the restaurant and greatly adds to the comfortable seating capacity. We came with four people and finding a table was difficult but we got super lucky when a six-top became open right after we looped around the place looking for a place to sit. Just note that this place is popular and seating can be hard to come by. I did see people stand and wait for something to open up. You order by phone by scanning the QR code. What's nice is everyone at the table can order and pay independently. This is great for parties of adults and for families, you can still have one person do the ordering on their phone. Sublime Tap House next door has the same system. Once ordered and paid, the food is brought to your table quickly! Beer & wine are ordered at the front, which is a little awkward if there's a line. Not a lot of room. They should really move the drink orders to the phone as well so those that know exactly what they want can order without bumping into people near the register. The food was spectacular. Our first time here in 2021, we ordered the carne asada nachos and it was TINY. Not worth the money, but things have changed! Our nachos this time was a piling heap of food and only $10. A steal and big enough for two people easily. We also ordered the birria taco, carne asada taco, and the birria bowl. All spectacular. Note: they do have six different hot sauces at the front left side of the restaurant along with containers and lids. The sauces were all good. The best part of our experience was tipping. Unlike many other restaurants now that like to shove a Square terminal in your face and stare at you while you select the 20%, 25% or 30% tip options, this place does NOT do that. You tip through the app at your table...whatever you want. You also can tip when you order drinks and there are tip jars around if you want to throw a couple of bucks in. Absolutely no pressure. This makes me want to forget the other places and only come here TBH. So big ups to the team for making some wonderful changes. Best wishes and I hope you guys thrive (I heard you opened up a new location even).
This is the best taco place I have been in Oceanside. The salsa bar has a bunch of great options and everything is super fresh. The nachos are also to die for and you get so much food!
Stopped in for a solid combo of tacos and beer. I went with the Al Pastor and Carne Asada bowl, which was packed with flavor—the meat was perfectly seasoned and charred. To wash it down, I paired it with their Extra Pale Ale. It’s a great, crisp choice that cuts through the richness of the adada and the spice of the pastor perfectly. If you're looking for a chill spot with high-quality brews and authentic flavors, this is it.
Perfect spot for a quick bite to eat a tacos. It’s seat yourself and order at the register. So you can order and eat quick or order and spend as long as you’d like. The food was delicious. I order two Al pastor tacos (I ate it way too fast and didn’t get a picture because I was so hungry! Oops!) four stars because there was almost too much mashed avocado and a tiny tiny single piece of pineapple per taco. I’ve had tacos with more cilantro on it… but that’s me being picky. It was still delicious.
We had a great time at this yummy location in downtown Oceanside. The vibe was good. The crowd was good. Dog friendly. Close to everything. The only downside was the waiter grabbed my wife drink before she was done. She was less than thrilled to have lost the last two tiny sips of her kamboocha.
Food was great, ordered a Birria Taco and a Al Pastor Mulita with a side of beans. The Aqua Baja beer was pretty good also. Not really traditional Mexican but not white washed either. Overall worth the visit and prices aren’t terrible.
Pros: Really good mulitas. Really good beer. Awesome atmosphere. Price point not too bad for the food and beer. Cons: can be loud, busy, limited seating. Got the chips and salsa as a side and the chips were stale and salsa was decent. Parking: There is garage parking right around the corner but street parking was limited. Overall I would come here again. Went on a Wednesday and this place was packed which made it with all the cons I listed.

I gave CC Tacos a 4 star bc the food is absolutely delicious. Most of the time the food is prepared the way it is intended and advertised. We order food from Craft Coast a few times a week. There seems to be two different crews working there. Half the time we get food there that is incredible. Half the time though, it seems thrown together and multiple orders stuffed into the smallest box they can find. Sometimes the chipotle will be watered down. Sometimes the molitos will be overcooked. Sometimes the craft coast style tacos will be soggy and oily. At one point we stopped ordering food from there bc of the inconsistency. I wish I could tell those people who are excellent at what they do just how much of a difference it makes. They have the best Al Pastor, & Carne Asada. Their veggie style options are excellent as well. They have an Al Pastor Craft Coast style taco that has cheese crisped into the tortilla with guacamole and pineapple that is surprisingly tasty. Normally I would not have ordered; I made a mistake when I placed the order and I was pleasantly surprised. I really love their food and I can’t say enough good things about the quality and marinade of the meat. Service and the preperation of quality ingredients is the other half of a great product. I truly hope they can improve their consistency.
Streets were buzzing but table for two was easily available. Server at counter was cheerful and welcoming. Al pastor and chicken tacos were stuffed and delicious, guacamole was respectable. Food arrived in a blink of the eye. Only disappointment was the Oscuro dark lager which was flavorless
Location- amazing Food- amazing Beer- meh Right on the main drag this brewery definitely got a prime location and with big glass garage doors, this is an awesome location. The tacos we got were sooo good. We got carne asada, pork and birria tacos and they were so good. We would have ordered more, but a 35 minute wait for 3 tacos was ridiculous. I ordered a west coast IPA and it tasted strange and was not a fan at all, we also tried the watermelon prickly pear sour which was pretty spot on. Overall, not sure if we'd go back.
