Orange Hill Restaurant

We visited Orange Hill Restaurant for Sunday brunch and the entire experience was amazing! The view from the hill overlooking the city is extremely rare and simply breathtaking. We sat outside where we were surrounded by heaters and umbrellas however, they weren’t really needed after the first 30 minutes. The service was good and we were checked on frequently. We started with the lobster deviled eggs and the very fresh shrimp cocktail, they both were very tasty! We also shared the brunch platter for 2 which included waffles, bacon, sausage, crab legs, potatoes, eggs Benedict and a large portion of prime rib. This option was more than we could eat but we were able to get a tasting of several brunch options and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Went here for a wedding. The food was delicious, and the views were amazing. I will def go here on a date. I didn’t understand why they had outside fireplaces on in such hot weather, but that wasn’t a big deal. Valet parking only.

We celebrated our son's graduation 🎓 with a family lunch. Everyone enjoyed the scenic views and delicious food. Service was very good (shoutout to Dave) and every dish was executed very well while being reasonably priced. Will return for sure!

This was the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Jeff was our server and he was phenomenal. He answered all the questions we had perfectly. The cocktails were amazing. The food was outstanding and so delicious. I had the 18oz New York strip and it was so good. It was cooked to perfection and so juicy. My bf got the prime rib and absolutely loved it. We also shared their garlic fries and they were to die for. We also shared a salad and I’m not sure if the dressings are made in house but the ranch dressing with the salad was so yummy. I also loved the bacon they top it with. The atmosphere was so relaxing and friendly. I absolutely loved it and will definitely return soon. 100% the best restaurant around.

Food was delicious and so much of it. The brunch is wonderful and well worth it. The views are spectacular as the restaurant is perched high upon the hill. LA, Long Beach, Catalina Island.... We sat at the bar for probably 10-15 minutes waiting for our table (no big deal, however) the bartender's (Yes, plural) never did come and ask us if we needed anything. The restrooms were something to be desired as they smelt terrible. Would have given orange Hill a five star if it weren't for the bartender and restrooms.

My husband and I dined here to celebrate my birthday as I had heard good things about this place and it was close-by so we checked it out. Entrance: We pulled up to the valet where they were very abrupt and efficient is grabbing our car from us. "Leave keys in car." It's not like there was a line of cars behind us. The other valet guy welcomed me but felt very procedure-like. Wasn't a great start to the evening. We checked in with the hostess for our reservation and still had to wait about 5-10 minutes which wasn't a big deal. Same thing, felt like hostess was going through the motions, didn't feel quite warm. Ambience: We were seated inside in a booth with a view which was a bit tucked away from the other patrons, which was nice and intimate. I think they could play better music here, it did not really match the ambience of the restaurant. They were playing like 2000's-2010's pop music. Something a bit more elegant would be nice. The view is beautiful, even from the inside. Service: The employees here in general just seem to be efficient and not very warm and personable. They go through the motions but don't really make an effort to make you feel truly welcome. Our waiter was just very quick and just wanted to know our order and walk away. He did bring out a birthday dessert which was nice but then he said "happy anniversary"... just very little effort behind the service. Food and drink: The food is quite good. We did decide to steer clear of certain items mentioned online that people didn't seem to like, but if you order right, you will get something you like. But I would caution that it seems like not everything on the menu is great. I did have an excellent drink, probably my new favorite cocktail of all time: the Spa Day. The flavor and foam on this drink is delicious and unique. The waiter recommended the ube colada which we also ordered. It tasted like watered down pineapple juice and wasn't blended. Not sure why that is a recommended drink. We ordered the braised short rib and the snapper which were both excellent dishes with great presentation. Overall, a nice place to dine at, good food and drink, I think they could use a new music selection more fitting to their theme, and should train their employees to have more empathy and warmness.

It was a good experience for our first time here. We came for brunch and for appetizer we got the coconut shrimp, my bf got an omelette and pancakes and I ended up getting the French toast (pictured). For drinks, coffee and fresh orange juice. My boyfriend and I went to Orange Hill in November 2024 to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived, the staff was super friendly, and the hostess found us a perfect spot where we could enjoy an intimate dinner with an amazing view. They have valet parking at the entrance, which costs $10. The menu ranges from $30 to $70 per dish. To start, we had the spinach dip, which was one of the best we’ve tried in the area. For our main course, we got the Zinfandel Braised Short Rib, which was our favorite—full of flavor and super tender—and the 24-Hour Herb Roasted Prime Rib 12oz, which was good but not completely to my liking because it felt a little dry. Our server surprised us with a delicious anniversary dessert, which made the experience even more special. We arrived around sunset, and the view was absolutely stunning. You could see the city lights starting to come on while the sky changed colors, and the air felt fresh and pleasant. Overall, it’s a place where the service, the view, and the food all come together perfectly. It’s not just a dinner—it feels like an experience, especially if you’re celebrating something special. A few things to keep in mind: valet only and arriving around sunset gives you the best view.

The food was outstanding, and the location is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant itself is very nice, and the staff were excellent, from the valet to the hostess and servers. My in-person experience was great. However, trying to reach someone at the restaurant is incredibly frustrating. Over the span of a week and a half, I called four different times without ever getting a live person on the phone. I left two voicemail messages that were never returned and sent an email that also went unanswered. This is the reason I could NOT give them 5 stars. While I did enjoy my visit, I would never use this restaurant for a special occasion or large party because they consistently fail to communicate with their customers.

We recently hosted a special event at Orange Hill and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location alone is enough to impress anyone — perched on the hill with a stunning panoramic view of the city. Watching the sunset and seeing the city lights come to life made the atmosphere feel truly magical and elevated the entire evening. It’s definitely one of those places you bring people when you want to wow them. The food was very good, well-seasoned, and nicely presented. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, and the menu had enough variety to make everyone happy. Service was friendly and professional, and the staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the event. They were attentive without being intrusive, which I appreciated. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because some dishes took a little longer than expected to arrive, but considering it was a busy evening with many events happening, it was understandable. Overall, Orange Hill is a fantastic spot for celebrations and special occasions — great food, great service, and an unbeatable view of Orange County. Definitely recommend it if you want a memorable night out. 👌✨

my boyfriend took me here for my birthday, the best part about it was the view. We were seated inside but we were moved outside once we asked. the starting bread was amazing and the wagyu pink brick was nice. I don’t recommend the macaroni or the dubai espresso martini. not once in the process of changing to our third waiter of the day were we offered a refill for our water. my “medium rare” steak took too long just to come out raw and cold, not the way i asked. i ended up using the brick from the appetizer to heat it until they finally took it lol. everything took long besides being seated. I have a feeling we were not attended to fairly solely based off of our younger appearance and age. We have had much better steak and service from any texas roadhouse.

The food was good overall. We ordered oysters, fries, and the wagyu zabuton, and everything tasted good. However, the experience was a little bit disappointing. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our reservation but ended up waiting around 45 minutes to be seated. We were surprised because inside the restaurant was pretty empty but we had to wait that long time. We specifically requested an outdoor seat with a good view to see the sunset, but were guided to an indoor table with no good view. Because of the long wait, we missed the sunset entirely anyway. This was our anniversary dinner, so the seating and timing were important to us. While the food was enjoyable, the service and overall experience didn’t quite meet our expectations for a special occasion.

Pretty much everyone from the stuff is unqualified for such place. Starting from the valet parking who would invite you to get off your car and handle the keys, don't expect politeness (Also is a mandatory $9 fee). The hosts is just like any other cheap restaurant out there and so are the waiters, unprofessional, lack of elegance and bad trained. The place was overcrowded and inside is incredibly noisy, but we got set up outside which worked better. The two dishes we ordered were alright, not great, not awful. The charcuterie is fantastic I must say, whoever prepares the combination know what they're doing! The place during the sunset is fenomenal, absolutely beautiful. If they could solve the issue with the staff they could definitely improve and become something bigger.
