It's been a few years since I have been to Louies. It was great to have that sauce on the Sahlens dog. Great fries too. It is nice to come back to the area and know that certain things didnt change. Except when it comes to the Sabres...they need a change still.
We always enjoy our time at Louie's. The gals there are always on the spot. The coffee cup is never less than half full. The hotdogs and sause are very good. They are all I ever have...yum...yum. Try Louie's, I think you'll like it too.
What can I say? Anyone that knows Buffalo knows that Louie's has the Texas hots yummy yummy!
Great spot for late night burgers or breakfast. If you are going to a Bill's game or an event at New Era stadium it is a great place to scarf down some food before or after. I was there fo breakfast at 2 am and then back at 11 am for another breakfast. Sooooo good.
It's a great place to stop for a fast meal on a day your out and about.
Love their red hots. The sauce is just divine. Very fast and friendly service
This is my favorite place to eat for a casual and cheap lunch or late-nite bite. My dad and i used to go there all the time when i was a kid and 15 years later the quality hasnt changed, still serving the best slime dogs and hot chocolate i ever had!
I miss the breakfast diners of the 90s and this place jogs memories for me. Great service, affordable, and takeout when I want to eat dinner at home too! I would recommend to anyone who wants home cooking.
Today was great. I had the #3 breakfast with eggs and bacon AND home fries covered in Texas sauce. So good. Everything was delicious and the staff was super friendly.
Very good food and service was great 🤗👌
You know how you go out to eat and the dish wasn't that good and you spent money on it? Not here! Good hot food, and quick. The best bacon as far as I'm concerned!
Pizza and wing special was very good
Went for dinner of hot dogs and French fries smothered in Texas meat sauce aka scum sauce. Perfectly steamed hot dogs on steamed rolls with mustard, onions and Texas/scum sauce. Good size plate of fries smothered in sauce also. Washed it all down with a glass of loganberry. Welcome to Western New York.
The nice thing about this place is it is different than most hot dog places. The hot dogs come with Texas sauce (mostly like a chili sauce but not at the same time) which is tasty. You can also get it on the hamburgers. The menu is not huge but that is a good thing.
Five stars based on the waitress we had, she was wonderful and friendly. Food is honestly kind of average and I wish we had tried it for a meal other than breakfast.
Never dined in the restaurant, but I regularly order takeout and the food is always good and hot. Picking up the order is a breeze and takes no more than five minutes.
Best hotdogs around. Their sauce is the best and don't forget about the Louies special.
Best possible drunk food before a Bills game. But in all seriousness, the food is good and the service is even better. A Buffalo staple. Must go to if you're going to a Bills game
I have eaten here twice; once late at night and once during breakfast. On my first visit I ordered a Greek salad; the portion was larger than I expected. The lettuce was fresh and the salad dressing and olives added just the right "bite" of acidity I needed to satisfy me. On my second visit I ordered breakfast. The sausage patty was generous and sunny-side up eggs were cooked just right (over- medium) and served with rye toast. Pancakes were average though (not their specialty). It's nice to walk into a restaurant and have an opportunity to interact with all of the staff. The servers are extremely friendly, know their regular customers, and check on customers several times during the meal. The cooks take their jobs seriously but when business is slow are not shy about interacting with customers as well. Management really emphasizes customer service and a family atmosphere. Camaraderie among the staff is pleasant.
You can't visit Buffalo (ok, Hamburg) without getting Texas Red Hots & Louis's are great. They have several locations in the area & are well worth a visit. Of course, they aren't as cheap as they used to be but way better than a fast food burger with cold fries! And if you buy 5 dawgs, you get the 6th free!
This is a preferred location for my family locally, and my grandfather enjoyed it while he was still alive. The food and service has always been great. It might surprise someone who goes there for the first time, but they have a lot more variety on their menu than you might think. The Texas hots are what they are known for, however. Enjoy what you like.
An old-school Buffalo style diner/ hot dog joint. It's one of my favorites in the Buffalo area. I recommend a Texas hot with mustard and sauce, and the same goes for their burgers. Located just north of Lot 4 of Highmark Stadium.
Staff are very friendly here. This place is a family favorite of ours. Pretty straight forward American food. Nothing exceptional but also not disappointing. For an inexpensive place to grab a bite to eat though this place is fantastic.
Great place to eat! I've been coming here since I was younger for the grilled cheese and man is it delicious. The Texas red hots are unique and have a sweeter taste (In my opinion) then other local dogs. :) Great food, I'll be coming here again.
Hotdogs with hotdog sauce and feta cheese always favorite combination of mine go with my father there., good fries not many places use vinegar for French fries this is one few places that do prices are very acceptable have that diner look and feel not many places have that
Texas hot with everything makes the world go round.
The waitress was a doll very pretty, polite well manord. Answered all my and my wife's Questions about there food and something about area we were in by the old and new Buffalo Bills foot ball stadium. There Texas hots are so so so very good first they start with a very premium salien hot dog made there in Buffalo NY. Then let us in on there special ingredient made with a touch of Love. There sauce was so good real chopped up Onion peaces. Can't go wrong having lunch here. Also they have a full menue, just about all you could really want or ask for . Last they serve the very best logen berry over ice in a regular glass , they have four location's This one was on the Blvd. Keep up the good food and great service. Teaxes hot Sauce was so good I bought a pint. Onion rings were very delicious 😋😋😋😋 made with real onions. We will go back next time when passing through Orcherd park. Signed the Rolfe s from Pa.
Anytime (only time) I come, late at night, I always get the best server and cook. They are always super friendly and nice people to be around. Waitress has red hair and the cook is a guy. They make a great team.
Friendly staff, located next to the new Buffalo Bills Stadium.
Best hot dogs in buffalo got to get them up
Basic Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, Greek Sandwiches like Gyros and Soulvaki and anytime breakfast. Good food at reasonable prices Very clean including bathrooms Great attentive service
Louies is a great place for a morning breakfast. The hash is quite amazing cooked to crisp. Besides that it's just like a normal diner with a little bit of Greek mixed in. For lunch it's best to get the Texas dogs and an order of fries. Overall the place is kept quite clean the waitresses are friendly and attentive and your food is usually out within 15 minutes.
Living in Rochester, our restaurants alike set the bar for us. Came to Buffalo to see the Bills game and definitely chose right on where to eat afterwards. The place is so clean, food was delicious (beef gyro is so good), and with fast and friendly service. Will definitely come back here again and again.
Yes!!! Plus breakfast all day. They are sosososo much more than Red Hots. The bacon cheeseburger was amazing. The onion rings just Mmmmmm! Great people that work there too. Go!! You won't regret it.
Whenever I visit the big 716 this is a must visit place. Love me some Louis
This place is a staple of the southtowns! The food and service is consistent. We love the Texas dogs, breakfast items, and more. Feels like someone is cooking the best meals ever in your own kitchen, but better because you didn't have to do it yourself! Thanks!
There are no Texas hot places near me anymore except Louie's. Rolls are fresh and sauce is not spicy. Restaurant is clean and service is fast
As always, the food was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was great! We took both of the kids with us, they really enjoyed themselves and their food as well! Great portion sizes, and the chili is amazing!
Wow stopped here after a doctor's appointment and the hotdogs were so dang good the fries and onion rings hot and amazing!! We'll be back to look at more of the bills memorialabela!
Saturday 8/12/23 just before the first preseason Bills game we stopped here for some food. Our server was the most amazing person in the world! I wish I knew her name so I could give her the much deserved recognition. Food was delicious and we most definitely will be stopping back before each game we attended. I absolutely recommend this place anytime you're nearby. 💯💯💯
Great servers really nice charismatic and a classic atmosphere and looks and when i got my fries and fried chicken for lunch it was still sizzling on the plate when i got it a genuine ten out of ten
I got there almost at closing time and still was very nice to help great closer's that day good food as well. Thank you all
Great breakfasts! Coffee filler ups never end! Great Staff!
My wife and I visited from Texas to catch the last Bill's game at Highmark Stadium. Louies staff was amazing!! Thanks for the wonderful food, hospitality, and memories. Go Bills!!
This place is Waffle House on Steroids. The "chili" dogs are on point! The sauce they use can go on any dish.. great homey atmosphere, and a staple in WNY. Would suggest anyone visiting to try Louies and there famous red hots anyday.
I just love this place. I always have to come for their souvlaki salad… so yummy … I feel like the girls are always watching my drink & I’ve never gotten to the bottom of my drink without the girls refilling out…. Amazing all around … Rice pudding please …..
Nice family-friendly sit down restaurant with menus at table and food is brought to your table. Breakfast served all day. And probably the only place in Western New York with a working pay phone on the front wall! 📞
Great Greek diner. Breakfast, lunch or diner. Fast friendly service with a smile. Philly steak omlette is outstanding as well as the Louies omlette. My son always gets the cinnamon roll and I always steal a bite .
First visit and I am sure not my last! Food was amazing! Waitresses are awesome! Nice Relaxed atmosphere! Great for having conversations with family and friends!
We were on a camping trip to New York and my husband is originally from East Aurora. I cannot believe he sat there and ate six Texas hots at one sitting. He was thrilled. And he said they were delicious. Another member of our party got the Texas hot hot omelette. She specifically wanted to take us there so she could get that. The order was so large that she ate half and ate the other half the next night for dinner. We definitely recommend this restaurant and on top of that it's just down the street from the old/new Buffalo bills stadium. GO BILLS !
I recently visited Louie's Texas Red Hots and was blown away by their delicious food. The meat sauce was the best I've ever had, and it's easy to see why this place is a Buffalo institution. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was inviting, just like it was as a kid. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Louie's for a taste of their mouth-watering food!
A WNY staple. Have been a satisfied customer since the original on Bailey Ave. Good food, fairly priced, fast and friendly service. Always open late. Food and service is consistent at all locations. Dogs, burgers, fries, rings, breakfast, Greek inspired dishes. The best Texas Hot in town in my opinion. Don't forget the loganberry!!!
Always satisfied on every visit. Clean dining area. Food made to order without a long wait. Great for any meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night meal. Never a problem for parking.
Love these skinny, steam rolled, fragrantly onioned slimmers. Each donut paper wrapped beaut is a small bite of heaven late nights watching some cheesy reality show. Breakfast choices are classic. Souvlaki Salad on a dessert saucer sized plate? I thought it was a joke at first, it's wasn't. I had to order the dinner to get a normal sized souvlaki salad. If you like your tomatoes and onions grilled for your salad? Forget it, you'll receive shards of both in total of 4-5 tops. I had to order 2 more sides of each to appropriate the dinner size salad. What part of ordering twice more didn't compute with the cook(s); seriously. I was annoyed but not as annoyed as I was by every waitress in the place offering and refilling all coffee cups literally every 3-5 minutes; tops. Holy annoying ones, huge evaluation and staff discussion needed beside the fact that they don't ask if you want a refill, they just fill it. (Just when you mixed it perfectly to😬) When your hand automatically covers your cup as you sense her approach........ I was really pissed off to be honest, trying to eat and have a conversation with the love of this girl's life. Take Away: Food is very classic diner-style basic but good, waitresses are friendly yet overly diligent to a fault & annoying as hell.
Typically I come here at night, when it's not busy. Friday and Saturday they tend to get a crowd, but service is always quick and food is hot. Coffee is fresh. I always go for a Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich, which I turn into an open Souvlaki. I add a side salad and use the Greek dressing on that, the Chicken is seasoned perfectly and juicy, and they give you more than expected. Yum! I have had their famous Texas Red Hot, very good. If you Buy (5) Five you get (1) One FREE!! (Take out Special)
Not a bad breakfast. Just outside of the stadium so I assume game day is nuts. The people up front where nice and got my order quick. The food was ready in a timely manner. Would definitely come back and dine in.
Great late night spot. Open 24hrs and serving up breakfast classics and other diner fare. The red hots are a go to of mine along with the sweet potatoes fries. The prices are reasonable and qualify for what I consider a cheap eats that doesn't taste cheap. The service is generally very fast and works great as a quick in and out option.
It's a small local chain. Typical 24 hr food menu. Prices are better than fast food and better quality. Nothing special, just decent service and decent food bundled into one. A better choice than a typical burger joint. The omelette's are big and the corned beef hash is delicious.
Burger could use some seasoning like spg or at least a compound butter but other than that very fresh great customer service at the front!
Had the hot dogs with everything and pickles so delicious. Still the same, made like back in the day. If you buy 5 hot dogs, you get one free.
The food is always so good and it's affordable. The service is amazing. Although one thing that makes me a bit uncomfortable is when I walk in to grab a table every single person that is dining there just stares at you until you get to a table. The place can't control that so I'm not blaming them it's just unsettling 😂
Love breakfast here. getting overpriced. good service
Good chile dogs! Good service. You'll be happy you dined here.
The food and service were great. The atmosphere is a little short on style. Not a place for a first date. But if you don't care about the atmosphere, it is a great place to eat.
A classic, no-frills hot dog joint that’s been serving the working class for generations. The decor feels frozen in time—nostalgic for some, dated for others—but it fits the vibe. The food? Exactly what you'd expect: boiled dogs with a bit of char, loaded into a bun, topped with sauce and condiments, and served up hot. My coworker and I split the six-dog special, grabbed some refills, and treated ourselves to milkshakes before heading out. It’s not gourmet, but it’s definitely not garbage either. It’s simple, satisfying, and hits the spot when you’re in the mood for that old-school flavor. The staff was super friendly, which made the experience even better. If you’re in Buffalo and want to see how their take on the red hot stacks up—definitely give it a try.
I got the Louies Omelet, it was different, but good, I like different. Service was decent. Coffee cup had food stuck to the inside of the cup and the outside of the cup, the dishwasher and server needs to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the dishes. Did I complain, nope, could I have, yes. I have had much more gross things before, I don't let simple stuff ruin my life like other people that complain that their ice wasn't cold enough, or their napkin wasn't folded properly, there are a lot of people that complain just to complain, it makes them happier if they can make someone else's life miserable like their own life already is.
They sell hotdogs and hamburgers, fries, and desserts. Their specialty is a texas red hot hotdog served with a special sauce. Their food is just average. What brings us back is the service. They always have cars in the parking lot but it's not full. If you're driving by and you're hungry and don't have much time, they will fill your tank and get you back on the road.
Our server was attentive & pleasant. The food was so,so. Rather have a toasted bun for my hot dog. Shoe string fries could of been hotter. Bathroom could of been cleaner.v
Food is alright, a bit pricey for cheap food. The lighting inside is horrible. It's florescent lights and drab look. I can get if they are going for retro look but their atmosphere is just plane dated.
Gave them 3 stars and 2.5 of that is for their Texas Hot Sauce alone 😊 This a Buffalo favorite and a must try if you like Hot Dogs. Got there about 11pm. Place was pretty crowded actually. A couple of cooks and wait staff kept things moving. Got our drinks and then food within 15 minutes - simple order. So not bad. Pleasant staff, clean restaurant and bathroom. Handicapped accessible.
Small dated road house near the stadium. Decor is very dated. I'm not sure there has been a facelift in decades. Just a bunch of open booths surrounded by wood paneling. Menu was pretty limited. Had the cheese and bacon burger(but doesn't come with a side??) so I got fries. Burger was thin. A few garnishes but overall pretty plain tasting. Shoestring fries looked like a bag of mcCain fries. And as a side there wasn't even a plate full just a small cardboard carton? Tried the onion rings after that and was equally unimpressed. Service was friendly but after my order came the waitress didn't bother to check on me. It wasn't busy at the time. Overall I wouldn't recommend unless you need to eat something and aren't fussy on what....
I really enjoyed the polish sausage breakfast I ate there. Toast was great and the home fries were so good. One star off each for my fiance and daughter's food, they had the chicken fingers which made my daughter very ill and gave my fiance an upset stomach. Service was great though.
I took my Dad there yesterday. We didn't have alot of time so I couldn't the him to Olive Garden which he likes alot. It was at 4:30 so it was quiet. He loves hot dogs but can't has trouble chewing the skin and they donot have skinless hot dogs. This would help greatly for elderly and with dentures. Any way, our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. The fries could be better and the burger meat is less than appetizing. I should've asked for grilled onions but got uncooked, and I love feta cheese so that was what made the burger a bit better. For what it cost me, we'll eat elsewhere after this. Wasn't worth that amount but at all. My Dad ate and was full as he never complains. But I want him to eat well. I'm not bashing the place. That's only MY opinion. Burgers are better at home with grindng our own steak up to make a tasty meal and spices that make your mouth water, so I'd say we're spoiled and anything otherwise isn't up to par. For them, maybe they should do as ARBYS, as they now have RASTELLIS BUTCHER BURGERS. Their business would be better. Just saying. I'd love to know where Louies buys their meat. Ok, I'm done. Y'all make up your own mind of course. God bless.
Starting w the driving egress entering off s western is a challenge risking damaging your vehicle suspension. as im disabled im alwaumys favorable to locations w good access which sorry to say but over 50ft ada parking to the door makes me shy away. upon entering its clean but not a hello welcome or hey where there are only 2 seated diners beside myself. eventually the cashier says hello, and shes pretty positive and cordial which was nice. so i place my basic 2 cheeseburger katsup olny w fries order. the order comes up w/in 5 min and thsts cool af although its the grill person who sorry to say has a zero enthusiasm dead inside persona who delivers the order(and shouldnt be responsible to. aside from my perky upbeat thank you, he wasntbreally enthusiased and im 100% he shouldnt be obligated. as far as the place, price q of product im like meh. being virtually empty only because the billys were in london(broke my/many heart losing this day) id say 50/50 overall
I typically love it here. The food is always spot on and delicious along with being well priced. Both of my servers were very pleasant, but the stars are docked because after our food came there was never another table touch. My wife and daughter had soft drinks and I had coffee, I did the universal symbol of "hey I'd like a refill" by placing my cup on the edge.of the table and nothing.
Waited almost 45mins. for a single order of Chicken fingers. They had 4 people working and maybe three tables of people. Could not believe we waited, but my husband wanted them so I waited. Just had a weird vibe here for some reason. Not impressed at all.
Not the greatest red / white hot in Buffalo however it is opened 24 and the service is good. Great place to stop in after a game.
Stopped in and didn’t have the best experience, staff seemed edgy and miserable. Food was average. Went another time and we were walking in and an employee ran to the door and made eye contact with us the proceeded to lock the door when we were just about to grab the handle. I understand they were closing but not he polite thing to do would’ve been to open the door and tell us that they were closing not to run over and lock it.
I ordered the chicken souvlaki sandwich, open. It arrived on a plate that was too small for the amount of lettuce. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The Greek oil was too vinegary. The pita was the worst part though. It was cut in quarters and reminded me of cardboard. The best way to describe the dish is to call it "diet souvlaki nachos" The milkshakes were good. So were the cheese dogs.
The Hamburger is very small my tomatoes slice was bigger then the burger. And the beef did not even fit the bun. It’s hard to find a good burger now a days. “ where’s the beef.” We raise the price and cut the beef thin.
I had a chili dog yesterday that a family member had bough for take out. The amount of sauce on the dogs was terrible and the size of the dog and bun had certainly shrunk. The price was close to $4.00 a piece. I love your products and know prices are going up but…don’t raise the price 20% and reduce the size/amount of product by 20% and expect return customers.
They served the white couple standing next to me even though they were aware I was there first. It's Orchard Park so not too surprising. Steak sandwich was gross. The Pepsi was good
I parked in the lot to take a few photographs of Bills fans in a lot directly next to this place. planning to eat after a few shots. The manager (or owner) told us to get out, said nasty things and insulted our dog we had with us. My husband didn't even get a chance to tell the guy we were gonna grab some food, and, this lot was very open with lots of spaces we were not drinking or doing any harm, nor were we taking up any space. We didn't get food we never will now and I'll be sure every Bills fan I can reach knows this place sucks and not to buy when there's a game.
Went there after camping and had our camper with us. We were NOT PARKED MORE THAN 3MINUTES AND WAS TOLD THAT WE COULD NOT PARK THERE BECAUSE WE WERE TAKING UP TOO MANY PARKING SPACES. WHEN WE SAID OKAY WE WOULD TAKE OUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. THE GUY SAID GOOD PLEASE DO.
Just walked out after the hotdog cook displayed inappropriate behavior, twice! He kicked a bus bucket, slammed doors & threw his hat. The waitresses were intimidated by it and nobody said anything. Like the wild west at 12:30am. Waitresses were nice.
Have gone to Louie’s for over 40 years. Recently stopped going due to the constant price increases - 2 eggs, homefries and toast with no meat isn’t worth $9.99.
Horrible experience. Walked in and sas down just to wait 10 minutes for the server to come ask what we wanted to drink. Another 5 minutes to get those. Straws would of been nice though. Finally or food arrives missing the fries but who wanted those anyway. . Not to mention the 5 dirty tables waiting to be cleaned and the drunk homeless guy sitting in the restaurant going table to table begging for cigarettes. Great job Louie's!!!!!!!
One medium drink and done. Waitress could not be bothered asking if I wanted a refill. She should consider herself fortunate that I left her $2. She deserved zero.
Had to try...the "greek sauce" is a spicy chili/burger sauce. Very good though
Seriously ? How do they claim to be salems hot dogs ? Ordered hot dogs and fries - got a plate of small fries to share -we each ordered not what I ordered yet got charged for it - returned my hot dogs was literally like a small ballpark frank on my way to Ted’s for a real hot dogs!!!!
Food was cold and fries were half cooked. Second day in a row we ordered through DoorDash and the food was horrible.
I've been at this location over 50 times. Most of those were prior to "COVID" and only limited visits since the change in hours. Today I looked at the hours at 9:20 pm. Knowing they had a closing hour of 10 pm. I asked a couple friends if they wanted to add to my order, I called at 9:43 pm, admittedly close to closing time. There was No answer. I was down the street so I drove there and found the doors locked at 9:50pm. Upon driving around the location to the exit, I found the cook outside smoking and asked if they were closed. He said "yes, it's 10 o'clock on my watch". It was 9:52pm. I then told him I called at 9:43 and there was no answer. He replied, "we didnt get any calls here". I regret the loss of the days you were open 24/7. But closing and lying about times and calls will only reduce the amount of customers, (who used to be loyal) that will continue to order from your establishment. I am sorry to say that I will no longer look into placing orders from here in the future.
I ordered two hotdogs with fries and a drink at Texas Red Heart. I clearly told the lady at the front desk that I’m Muslim and needed beef, not pork. After taking the first bite, it tasted off — and when I called, they admitted it was pork. They should have informed me, but they didn’t. Very disappointing and careless service.
