We ate at the breakfast buffet at the Rosen Centre for three days during our conference, and the food options were excellent. There’s an omelet station (which was consistently great), a fresh fruit bar with yogurt, cereal, deli cuts, and cheese, plus a hot bar offering a variety of meats, eggs, potatoes, and pancakes. They also have a bread counter with toast, bagels, croissants, muffins, and assorted pastries. The staff were friendly and quick to keep water and coffee refilled. Overall, a great way to start each day.

My family and I visited this restaurant for Thanksgiving and it could not have been a more wonderful experience! The food was amazing, the service was friendly and we had a fine dining experience that was still kid friendly. We all left completely satisfied and I may never cook a thanksgiving meal again! Can't wait to go back next year!!

Excellent prices for a delicious buffet. Salad bar filled with great choices you don't see much of anymore. Main dish options are plentiful along with desserts. Delicious food, world class atmosphere, and great service!

Breakfast buffet here was exceptional! Fresh fruit, cereals hot and cold, yogurt and toppings. Omelets custom made. Pancakes. Smoked salmon with all the fixings. Cheeses. Various breads, bagels and fresh pastries. Scones. Jams and jellies. Bacon. Different types of sausages. Breakfast potatoes. Biscuits and gravy. Coffee and juice are included for just under $20. Service for beverages was attentive including refills. Buffet was well attended and refilled constantly. Would definitely recommend but be sure to bring an appetite. Breakfast here eliminates the need for lunch.

We celebrated Thanksgiving lunch at Cafe Gauguin today and it was our first experience at a Rosen Resort. Today was a buffet featuring carving stations for Turkey and a Pork Roast, all of the typical Thanksgiving foods plus sushi, shrimp, baked coconut cod, pasta station, full breakfast and tons of desserts. They also had champagne and mimosas and of course sodas, tea and coffee. We paid when we made the reservation and gratuity was included in the price. Check in for our reservation was just across from the restaurant with very little waiting. We were taken into a holding area where they served Champagne and mimosas and offered a cheese buffet while we waited. We checked in early for our reservation and we did not wait long to be seated. Parking and valet parking were both free. Our servers Stan and Moe were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The restaurant manager stopped by to check on us and a little later Mt. Rosen himself stopped by to check on us. Thanksgiving Buffet was about $50 per person and well worth it for the quality of the food, service and ambience. And worth the price to pay so we did not have to cook and clean up. This was a wonderful experience that we would love to repeat. I didn’t take photos of our meal, there was just too many choices and photos would not have done it justice.

Very nice spot within the Rosen hotel for an all you can eat breakfast. The bacon was crispy and the sausages were amazing. There is an omelette station and you can even get pancakes or waffles made to order. There is an assortment of fruit, including blueberries and strawberries. Beverages are also included. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a great breakfast.

The best Easter Buffet Servers are the best, food was plentiful and delicious. There was plenty of choices for all. 10 buffet tables with at least 10 choices on each, including desserts. An awesome place to stay and relax at this Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful dinner.

My daughter & I were there for a 3-day National Qualifier Volleyball tournament. Some days we had morning waives so we came to eat @Cafe Gauguin.. Mounia was assisting us & she was wonderful. Excellent customer service & made us feel at home. Even thou we were in a hurry she helped us get what we needed. We returned 2 days later..& once again Mounia was our server..she even remember my name! She see atleast a thousand people a day..I’m so please she remembered! I wish we had more time to eat all the other variety of foods which were on the buffet! Next time I guess!

We couldn't figure out why this place wasn't busier! Yes, it's a buffet, but it was AMAZING! The food was NOT normal buffet fare. It was truly 5 star delicious and the service was excellent. If you start at the Rosen, please, do yourself a favor and eat here!!

My Family and I had a Wonderful time at this restaurant. The Waiter Aziz was our waiter. He was so Kind and Excellent!!! His customer service was on point. The Chef Lionel/Lonnie/ Leno (not sure how to spell his name)was really Kind too. My baby has a lot of allergies and he accommodated us. He brought my son food from in the back so his food would not be contaminated. If you are ever in the area this is definitely the spot to visit.

Very nice spot within the Rosen Centre Hotel for an all you can eat breakfast. Of course, the friends I shared breakfast with made it even better. The bacon was crispy and the chicken sausages were amazing. There is an omelette station and you can even get pancakes or waffles made to order. There is an assortment of fruit, including blueberries and strawberries. Beverages are also included. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a great breakfast at only $20 + service charges. $20 Price was worth the experience, but we did not like the 18% service bill added. Hence, the reason for four stars instead of five.

S

Great Mothers Day Brunch. Excellent choices and staff was very friendly. Only downside Mr. Rosen walked right past our table after greeting every other person in our section. It was a little off putting and made my mom and I to question if he just plainly ignored us or simply didn’t see us. Either way we enjoyed the brunch and will be back next year.

Ate here twice on the same trip - once for lunch and once for dinner. The staff was very accommodating - we were there for meetings - they knew in advance so worked around us, even allowing us to stay late. The food on the buffet was better than most buffets. Many salads, seafood, desserts.

M
Monte Handley

The food was reasonably priced for a resort hotel. The service was just a bit slow. The hamburger was good but I dont care for the large potato fries. End it with tasty key lime pie..

L

My boyfriend and I went for the Christmas brunch. The staff was excellent, the food was great (especially the desserts), but the restaurant itself is pretty dated. Overall it was a very nice experience.

J

Staff was great. Highly attentive, accommodating to our table change desire, and they were kind. High thanks! We tipped very well! The food was decent but somewhat uninspired. We had the buffet. This is a buffet location. They have hand sanitizer around the buffet, so use it! The chicken was a bit bland, the saffron risotto did not have much saffron flavor, the peas with pearl onions were not the best. The lasagna bolognese was awesome! Really good. All the extra items like the salad bar, the bread, the cold cut station and the soup station were all good. The seafood gumbo was enjoyable. At the hot station, the pot roast was the best and it held up against other pot roast dishes in my past for sure. Try it! The dessert station was also good. I enjoyed the apple pie with some soft serve ice cream. They had other baked options and toppings for the ice cream, but I had my fill already! For anyone in the Rosen that wants to sit down and have a buffet style meal with options for all, this is a good location. Enjoy!

3.5 stars. We went for Thanksgiving buffet and the food was great. It was far too crowded with tables and trying to navigate to all the different stations that were spread out. We asked for an ADA table for a family member on oxygen and using a scooter. There was no such thing. We witnessed multiple families in our same situation not be able to navigate the buffet due to the set up. We also had to flag down a server to get coffee and were faced with a lecture when we didnt request cream/milk at the time we asked for 3 cups. In the time it took for her to explain that just ordering "coffee" means "black" and explain to us how we didnt order correctly, the milk could have been at our table. Why servers didn't ask when we ordered is beyond me as most restaurants bring it all together (coffee, sugar/cream). Anyway..that was the last interaction and it stuck with us unfortunately. I would go again but leave the physically challenged member of the family at home...oh...and Ill know how to order my coffee next time so as not to upset the server and get another lecture.

Not a lot of options, just tacos and salad bar. The food was not that good.

R

Food needs work tastes like hotel food subpar

T

Lunch buffet food very mediocre. Everything looked pre-packaged, heat 'n serve... and tasted like it. Very nice helpful people, but poorly executed.

H
Heidi Hunter

The food was barely average... reminded me of Golden Corral. They automatically put an 18% gratuity on the tab so 2 drinks and 2 buffet $75.00 for lunch. Very disappointing especially since Rosen is a culinary institute. It is not often that I am critical of restaurants, sadly I couldn't even fake that anything was more than average. PS the desert table was like Styrofoam. Won't be repeating that event.

K
Kenny Tudor

We ate there a couple of mornings. It was okay in a pinch. The hot food was good. The fruit and cool food were not some of them tasted spoiled and honestly kept me from returning our last morning. I Would of given it 2 stars if it weren't for the bacon it was awesome.

J
Joe Micetich

Service on the restaurant was great. Buffet for Thanksgiving was bountiful and overwhelming. I did not like the check in process from the main entrance of the hotel instead of at the actual restaurant. Also line moved very slow due to higher ups working the desk and ignoring the customer in front of them.

D
Debbie R

Came for the holiday buffet. It was ok, not worth the price. Most of the food was room temp, not really hot. The prime rib was the star with turkey an after thought.

B
Bob Kernohan

Since covid food has gone down hill. No prime rib, limited menu for dinners. No omelet station for breakfast less on the buffet. Overall, it's not worth the money anymore. Been going to the centre for almost 10 years and I just don't enjoy it as much.

r
ron p

Should add fresh omelets and turkey bacon to their menu, we hope they enhance their home fries (a bit dry). Otherwise foods good.

C
Carole Goldman

Had Christmas brunch and would not recommend as it is very pricey for what you get. The chicken was dry, ham not tender and very few stations. The service was okay. The room was decorated lovely and very decorative. The price for valet parking was ridiculous and should have been included with charge.

Hotel breakfast buffets are usually something I look forward to. I'm struggling with this one. The food is reasonable and there is an average range of good available. The servers are as individuals very pleasant. The problem is the offering is rapidly going down market. Plastic cutlery is out but there is proper (metal) silverware available. Coffee refills are from a beverage station but servers do refill at the table. I'm on my second of four nights here and the problem seems to be lack of catering management.

A
Alexa Armata

I thought the food was amazing and my server was alright but my experience went downhill when a cook came out and asked a server what time they were gonna close. I felt uncomfortable because I wanted to enjoy my food and not rush. About 10 mins later she came out speaking in Spanish saying how she wanted to close up and how someone was seated there or something along the lines of that. The person sitting there was me and little did anyone know I speak Spanish and understood it all. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant before. I've worked in a buffet before as a cook and I truly believe that If you're gonna work in a position like that, you work until doors close and then worry about pulling stuff. That's the right way of doing things, not standing outside the door staring at me or the others eating or talking about them as they're eating. It's 2022, trust me, more people speak Spanish now than ever and talking about people in another language isn't okay. Oh, and this was at 7:20pm. From what I've heard, the closing time is 8:30pm.

I
India Jackson

Not worth it. It took over an hour to get in and get out. 10 mins after sitting to get a drink order. Service was lousy if you got anything but the buffet. The food was fine, but you are much better off just getting it delivered to your room rather then going to this restaurant. On top of everything they force an 18% gratuity on you. Would not recommend for those needing to get in and out quickly.

H
HC Riley

The food was a 3.5 to 4 star. Service was aweful at best, bussed my own table, and over 40 min to return with drinks. Note: this is a buffett and that is all the server does. Expensive also. 2 adults and 2 kids for lunch <$60 (with 25% off with conference discount). Know you will pay 18% for the horrible service, automatically added to bill.

S
Sierra Banks

Salad and dessert were decent. However, main dishes were very unappetizing.

c

Years ago this was a great place for a good meal and a great price. My recent experience was not good. I feel that something must have been in the food that made me feel full and it was hours before I recovered. It’s a buffet.

A
Angie P

The scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage were pretty good I guess but everything else at the hot breakfast buffet was gross. I LOVE sausage gravy and it was the strangest texture with an odd flavor and room temperature. It was basically inedible so I highly suggest they try a new recipe. My server was great but the lady handling transactions needs more training. I had evacuated a hurricane and had cash on hand as you learn to do after living through hurricane power outages. She acted like she'd never seen cash before, wasn't friendly, and disappeared for a long time with my money. I didn't think she was coming back and wasn't ok with paying a 92% tip... she should have explained that she was going to be a while getting my change instead of disappearing like she did... instead I was made to feel like a heel asking for my change like someone who doesn't leave a tip. Not a good look and the food was not good so I would never eat here again. Try reds deli, they are nice and the food is good.

A
Anthony Greco

Disappointing buffet on Thanksgiving. They delivered on the quantity but it's clear they went for lower quality ingredients and cuts of meat. Items were never at the right temperature and the meats were overcooked and some pieces inedible. There was bottomless mimosa/champagne included but the server was barely available to refill and I was told I could only have 3 mimosas in total - ridiculous and completely false advertising! The ambiance was poor and the the restaurant was dirty and dingy. I would not recommend this establishment and felt especially insulted at the high price I paid for me and my family.

G
Gabrielle Waldman

Ate with a group of 11 Saturday night. The price was fine. We were one of 3 tables in the restaurant. The salad bar was nice and fresh as were the appys. The soups were barely luke warm and the the entrees were gross. The sirloin was like leather, the salmon was dry and the green beans were over cooked. The chicken wings were good and the mashed potatoes were delicious. That was the entire hot food bar. Not only was the food bad but I have never been to a buffet with such limited options before. Although I have been there (and been pleased) many years ago on a holiday with many options including carving stations, I will likely never go back, certainly not if it is not a holiday with more options and fresher options.

Alfredo May

Mala comida, buena atención. Salón vacío, se ve que los demás ya sabian que la comida es sin sabor, sin amor, sin nada

W
Wael Georgey

If you're looking for a buffet with fresh food options then this is not the place for you. I was invited here and did not enjoy many of the food options. Seafood was frozen and defrosted, The One steak option was room temperature and was not tasteful, staff were great but not in Sync. They said they had lamb but it turned out to be Ribeye, they said they had pineapple juice but didn't. With 22% gratuity you're paying almost $90 a person. This makes it the most expensive & dumb decision you'll make for the day. Go to a fine dining restaurant for the same price, better atmosphere and easily accessibly to your car. Food is 0 Stars, if they charged me $15 to go back there and eat again I still would not return. They invested in Overstaffing instead of investing in fresh ingredients.

M
Mary Hood

V

Beautiful place in a beautiful hotel but... took 10 minutes waiting to be seated before I went in and grabbed someone. My family went through an entire plate before ever ordering a drink. The food was terrible. Plates were never picked up from the table. Line items were empty. Never got drink refills. Incredibly overpriced.

B
Bernadette Thalhammer

I have no words. We went here for group dinner. We had tomato basil soup which was cold. After asking for a hot one they brought us another cold soup. We also had lukewarm seafood gambo which had pieces of the prawn shells in it. As main we ordered salmon which didn't taste fresh and was completely over cooked. I couldn't finish my food because it was so awful. I usually don't give bad reviews like this but this was a complete disaster. Also the restaurant was almost empty apart from our bigger group and they forgot a lot of our orders and were completely overwhelmed. Can't recommend this place to anyone.

M
Meredith Harlow

This is the breakfast buffet at the Rosen Centre. Standard hot bar selections. Sad dry cold biscuits that are a disgrace to the South. No one offered me a drink, had to ask the hostess if there was self serve coffee somewhere and then she got it for me. I received a dirty napkin (mushed egg on it) and a dirty fork inside it (lettuce leaf steamed to it) but there was no one around for me to ask for a new one. I will try the deli next door and get an egg and bacon sandwich for half the price.

A
Alessandro Sorrentino

Sad, very sad buffet breakfast and lunch with suboptimal choices that repeat each single there I have been there. Despite I had breakfast included the last day I preferred to skip as I could not eat that food anymore. Interestingly enough, even if the place is half empty the queues for breakfast are quite long as they let people in very slowly.

F
Felicia Warner

We went to the Christmas brunch as we have been doing for 10+ years. It was terrible compared to other years. The food choices were many, but wired. A big disappointment was not having prime rib as they had had in all the years previously, and the price has jumped up out of sight. Unfortunately, we will not be going back next year.

I
I-Min Hsieh

The service was terrible. The waiter didn’t tell us that they will stop serving the food within 10 minutes. After seating, the other waiter notified us so we rushed to food area . The server in food area was unhappily and unfriendly to serve us food because he want to close the food station. It was extremely horrible dining experience.

C
Cory McIntosh

Terrible latte! I ordered the mocha latte and it taste like watery milk with a splash of chocolate in the background and no coffer taste at All! I'll never pay for the "coffee" again. Whoever made it doesn't know how to make a latte at all.

S
Shannon Smart

Just Don't. Breakfast is $19 plus gratuity even if it's ToGo! The staff was not friendly and not eager to assist with questions about gluten free items. I was given a blueberry muffin and gluten free bread...which I could toast on their multi-use toaster that looked like it hadn't been clean in awhile. I asked two staff members if they knew of any gluten use in their serving trays for bacon and sausage, since most continental breakfast add a spray or powder to their food so the food doesn't stick. Their response was that all food items are cooked separately and never touch, which did not answer the question asked. Do not waste your money if you have a gluten allergy.

S
Shivika Gupta

The breakfast buffet was horrible. I could see fungus on the strawberries. The melon they served had gone bad. Oatmeal was cold. Croissant was good but no microwave etc to heat it up. Very limited vegetarian options.

J
Jason Billings

Breakfast was Hampton Inn quality at best. Go next door to Dennys or McDonald's Also the milk was spoiled

S
S I

Good service by staff does not make up for a terrible looking buffett half stocked with food that looks horrible. The cost of the buffet is not posted or spoken of prior to being told you can eat at the buffet. When you receive your bill the cost is surprising for the quality that is surely missing for the price you just paid. The room looks as if a Las vegas casino dumped their 1980's carpet and rejected dining room here prior to imploding it to build a new casino in its place.

S
Shivanee Patron

Too many tables within a small space, people are dinning on top of each other. Food was not worth the price (mother’s day brunch was $65 per person) was forced to tip 20% prior to receiving any kind of service. Food placements were weird, sushi bar had 3 sushi on display. Waiters didn’t perform, I asked to get a refill on the mimosa for the entire table and the server only refilled 2 glasses out of 6. When I made a comment about it and Luigi (our designated server) responded “it’s not the end of the world”. Honestly, because I spent $460 on a buffet and was forced to tip 20% I would expect a better service and to not get any sass from the server. Would not recommend. Better buffet are available elsewhere is more attractive hotels.

B
Bee

One of the worst! The staff attitude is deplorable. Maybe because I m colored. Stale croissants at breakfast. Almost like I'm being done a favour for being served here . I'd avoid this place like the plague. Keep your attitude to yourselves guys. I was contemplating having most of my meals here as I was staying at Rosen centre for 7 nights ,but with this one experience I'd rather stay away. No prizes for guessing who the loser is !
