First time visiting and I say it was great! Everyone in the party was 100% satisfied! The low lights made it easy to chill and the location was pretty good too! Would definitely visit again!
Wow… the food was absolutely amazing! I came here with my friends for dinner, and we had such a great time. The live fire show with upbeat music made the whole place come alive. The service was excellent — the staff checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed and offered drinks at just the right time. Outside, the restaurant was so colorful and beautifully decorated with warm lamps — I couldn’t stop taking pictures! Every corner felt vibrant and full of life. I’m from New York, and this place truly impressed me. I’d definitely recommend visiting for dinner, since that’s when you can enjoy the fire show and capture some amazing, colorful photos. A must-visit spot for great food, lively vibes, and memorable moments!
The place is absolutely beautiful! The servers were super friendly, and the hostess was amazing — I loved her! We started with the birria fries as an appetizer, and they were delicious. I definitely recommend them! I tried the barbacoa tacos — they were good, but I think I’d prefer them with corn tortillas next time (my son ordered flour ones). The drinks were 👌 incredible! I had the Wicked Watermelon and the Blackberry Smash — both were amazing! There was live mariachi while we were there, and they were fantastic. Overall, a great experience — I’d definitely come back!
2nd time visiting all because of the great service that Jocelyn provided. The atmosphere, nice employees and super good food make us come back. We order the Quesadilla Birria, the Coconut Tres Leche French Toast, the Birria Brunch Burrito, Brunch Tacos, Nutella and Banana Empanadas and last but not least the bottomless sangria (specially the white sangria). Mariachis from 1pm on are the best as well. Overall great expirience.
Excellent Mexican food! If you are sick with the sugarcoated , deep fried American food, this is a place to visit! Great margaritas, Mexican beers and live playing mariachi. Highly recommend. However, if you’re looking for a quiet place to talk , than I guess you have to arrange te separate room.
Had such a fun date night here! The food was flavorful and portions were generous—I had the taco salad and it was huge. What really impressed me, though, was the atmosphere. The décor is unique and vibrant, and on Saturday night there was even a live fire dancer, which was an incredible surprise. The music and DJ kept the energy high, but keep in mind it can be loud inside. If you’re looking for more of a conversation-friendly setting, I recommend asking for outdoor seating. Overall, a fantastic spot for both food and entertainment—I’ll definitely be back!
We were thinking this is going to be a tourist trap spot. Probably not that good. Overpriced. Well we were wrong. We want to give it the full 5 stars. Great food. Great experience. We came in and sat at the bar as we wanted to watch the game while getting some food. No sound but that's ok. The bartender was attentive the whole night and really knew when she was needed or not. We tried the salsa, ground beef tacos, and the steak fajitas. Wow! Everything was delicious. The salsa is endless and we thought it was fresh. The steak fajitas I still dream about. They came out sizzling with plenty of green peppers and onions. The rice was just right. They gave a small portion of guacamole and sour cream was it worked out fine for dinner. They also provided 3 flour tortillas. We did see a mariachi band in the restaurant going up to tables. They also had a photographer come around. They took our picture. Came out great. They brought it over to show us and they can print the photo or make keychains with the photo. It was a bit pricy paying for the photo but we had a great time and liked the photo. Parking was not free but it was around $6 for our dinner hour.
Went here for the first time & I cannot wait to come back. The food was so good. There was also a mariachi band playing the entire time. We ordered carne asada enchilada & the chicken chipotle. Both were cooked well & delicious.
We had excellent tacos here on Saturday lunchtime. No issue being seated - there were plenty of tables. Servers were really polite and efficient. Our tacos were around $20-25 each dish. Portions are good, and the food was delicious. There was also a mariachi band playing, so it made for a great atmosphere.
Ricardo was a fantastic A+++ server and made our visit memorable. As a viejo hombre blanco, previously living in Arizona, some of the dishes fell short of authentic, but good service always makes up for not so great food. Ricardo steered us to the Carnitas platter, and brought us some fantastic chili de Arbol. I never usually complain, but the Mexican street corn was just plain terrible. Amazing tequila selection and listened to some top-notch mariachi. We had an enjoyable evening sitting outside. Many thanks to Ricardo!
Went here for Taco Tuesday deals and it was well worth my time! Love the aesthetic and decor. They serve small bites each under $10. Sat at the bar & the bartender was very pleasant. The only thing was that the small bites were veryyy small. Wish they had a bigger portion or more than 1 on the plate for the happy hour/Tuesday deal. However, the margaritas were delicious and so was every other item that was ordered. Pictured below.
Great food and a wonderful experience overall. The ambience is beautiful and uplifting, the service is good, and everything came together for a very pleasant visit.
Great restaurant! Francisco was our waiter and he was great! I have celiac disease and he made sure everything was gluten free and even cooked in a separate section which was so reassuring. Definitely recommend!
The tacos, tequila and the mariachi were such a VIBE! We had so much fun. Our server was so lovely and the margaritas no matter what you get are unreal 🍸 Francisco and the team were incredibly accommodating for my allergies and very diligent to make sure I was taken care of ❤️ I felt very taken care of!

Kavas Tacos + Tequila, which is exactly what I ordered when I visited last Fall, is excellent. Very good food, very good with allergies, I had no issues at all and a great meal. I was with a party of coworkers and we had excellent service. I can't wait to return next time I am in Orlando.

The food was delicious! My waiter was great I don’t remember his name but he was awesome. Everything was great with this restaurant. Definitely will go back !
A Fiesta for the Senses at Kavas! From the moment we stepped into Kavas, we knew we were in for a treat. This place truly deserves every one of its five stars! The atmosphere is simply fantastic – vibrant and inviting, setting the perfect mood for a night out. We were especially delighted by the lively mariachi band, which added such an authentic and joyful touch and they play at request when they come to your table so have a song ready. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our waitress was incredibly personable and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. And a special shout-out to Omar, the manager, who was wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. It's clear he runs a tight ship with a focus on customer satisfaction. Now, let's talk about the food! It was all delicious with plenty of great options to choose from. From the chips and salsa to the queso dip and guacamole, also happy they had vegetarian options, i was thrilled with my veggie quesadillas – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. But the true showstopper was the amazing coconut tres leches. Seriously, save room for dessert, because this is a must-try! Kavas offers a truly memorable dining experience with its winning combination of fantastic food, stellar service, and an unbeatable atmosphere. We can't wait to go back!
Great food and a wonderful experience overall. The ambience is beautiful and uplifting, the service is good, and everything came together for a very pleasant visit.
Love this place!! The vibe is pretty nice and when we go they usually have mariachi playing and also fire dancers later on which is pretty cool. The workers are super accommodating!! The food and drinks are pretty good. we love going for happy hour time especially.
Jorge was a fantastic server. Our drinks were amazing, the guacamole, salsa, and BARBACOA was 🔥! We also enjoyed the decor, DJ mixes, and the fire dancer! What a fun place! 10/10!
I had an excellent experience thanks to our waitress, María Valentina. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. She made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations from the menu. Her warm attitude and smile made our meal even more enjoyable. Thank you, María Valentina, for your outstanding service — we’ll definitely be coming back!
It was a literal party here and I absolutely loved it. We came on a Friday night, had a fire dancer then DJ. Everyone around us was having so much fun, and the waiters were in on it too. Food was amazing, so so flavorful. We had the chips & salsa. Perfectly warm tortilla chips with great salsa. Split the steak & chicken fajitas and it was so much food. Can’t wait to come back.
Let me tell you something. I don't like mexican food. I think is always the same thing and spicy. Personally, I hate spicy food. I dont see the point of eat and getting my mouth on fire, for.me that's a stupidity. This place is excellent!!! I requested nothing spicy and that's what I got in my table. Great service as well.
We had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious, the margaritas were excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for our work farewell celebration. Francisco’s service was outstanding. He took great care of our large group and made the night even better. Highly recommended!
The waiter was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had a fantastic dining experience. The food was nothing short of amazing - each bite bursting with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. The tacos were a true delight, leaving us satisfied and craving for more. We left with happy hearts and full bellies, already planning our next visit to this incredible establishment. If you're looking for great food and a friendly atmosphere, make sure to check out Kavas Tacos + Tequila - you won't be disappointed!
Alex and his team went above and beyond to ensure our group of 55 guests was taken care of—not only with exceptional customer service and great food, but with genuine care. As the lead for our team-building event, Alex gave me complete confidence from the start that he would go the extra mile for us, and he absolutely did. He was attentive, checked in with us multiple times throughout the night, and made sure every detail was perfect. His hospitality and professionalism truly made this experience memorable. The delicious tacos and exciting fire show were the icing on the cake! I’ll definitely be returning soon for more. Thank you, Alex, and your wonderful team, for making our night unforgettable!
Fun evening spot with great food. Not for quiet dinners, but excellent for groups. We sat at the bar and had full service. Will go again.
Loved. This. Place. The vibes were immaculate. You get dinner, a fire show, and amazing customer service. Our server Sabrina was A1. Relatable, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our table wad taken care of. The hostess Lisa was a riot! She and I had a dance session outside, it was so fun! Come and request them by name. 👌🏾
Came for a conference but fell in love with the food! If you are looking for ambience, delicious food, look no further. Kava decor is pretty dope. The outdoor space is so colorful and lively. The music is amazing there is plenty of space. The inside is huge! We stopped by for some ceviche but ended up order the Chill Platter with ceviche, Shrimp cocktail and poke. This was delicious and we paired it with the house Margherita and wicked watermelon cocktail. Our server Alex was great and recommended watching the fire show! We definitely recommend this place when you visit the Orlando area.
Antonio took such amazing care of us during our visit. He was incredibly attentive—always checking in at just the right moments—while still giving us space to enjoy our evening. His kindness, upbeat energy, and genuine enthusiasm made the entire dining experience feel special. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does, and it truly shows.
I love KAVA!! Thank you for accommodating our large volleyball team!! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Thank you Antonio for our amazing service:)
Our experience was incredible from start to finish. Liza was such an incredible host, she made us feel so welcomed. Our server was incredible, the food was outstanding and they accommodated our large party of 12. Great manager and staff, we’ve found our new spot! There was a fire dancer too!
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very pleasant, but what truly made the difference was the outstanding service from Valentina. She was kind, professional, and attentive to every detail, making our visit absolutely perfect. Always with a smile and willing to help, Valentina truly knows how to provide top-quality service. I’ll definitely come back thanks to her great work!
Food was great chips, salsa and queso were top notch. The drinks were amazing . Next time we are going to try their high roller drinks. Had reservations so sat inside, if no reservations sat outside (went on a Friday night). Large dining area so able to accommodate large parties. Our server was on top of everything. Loved the shirts with the quotes on the back. They had a fire dancer come out towards the end of our meal and a live DJ. Will definitely be back. You do have to pay to park since it's pointe Orlando but the max is $10
This restaurant deserves 5/5 in everything! The tacos were really good, and the size was perfect! We got the 12 tacos and 3 ate from it! The prices I think are good with the size and quality of the food. I think the alcohol drinks were a little expensive but everything else is fine! The attention was perfect and the place is so beautiful. I really loved the decoration. If you wanna come here, do it! You won't regret it. One of the best Mexicans restaurants I ate in us.
Last time I came here was 2 years ago and the food was really good. Sat at the bar and got everything on the happy hour. I was able to be in and out in an hour the service was super quick. Xavier was our bartender he did an amazing job. I’ll definitely be back.
The manager there is honestly very unprofessional, despite that I did enjoy my time there thanks to an incredible bartender Maria. She was so kind, attentive and made one of the most amazing drinks I’ve ever had-it was the spicy watermelon cocktail but she made it less sweet and it was absolutely perfect. I would definitely go back just to see her and have some great cocktails.
I came with a group of 9 other moms two weeks ago. The manager, waitstaff, and bartenders were very accommodating! They even opened the windows up on the other side of the bar so that we could take advantage of the amazing happy hour deals in the bar area. It stormed like crazy, but we had fun and really enjoyed our evening. A huge thank you to management at this place!!
Went to this place for dinner. As a very cool vibe and artsy feel. They have a good amount of menu options including family style. I was with my job and we decided to do family style for a group of eight people. Guacamole and salsa was made fresh and tasted awesome. The food was very good and tasty. Nicely prepared and fresh from the kitchen. Zero complaints I truly recommend this place.
The food was fantastic and came out very fast. The service was somehow better. There was a mariachi band and our six year old was dancing by the table. Our waiter led him up to the front to dance with the band. The hostess later came by and did the same with our three year old. The kids loved it. Absolutely deserves a five star overall. My only note is the music (before the band started) was a little loud and the lighting was very dark. Took nothing away from our excellent experience, but is worth noting for some people.
Fantastic food, great drink selection. The atmosphere was 10/10. There was a live mariachi band playing when we were there, which was a great addition to our meal.
I eat here every visit to my conference nearby. I enjoy the food and the service is always very good. If you visit at the right time, you can be entertained with the fire show. I've eaten here with one other guest and also with large parties. They easily accommodate business travel with individual bills. I enjoyed the burritos and enchiladas. I know other guests enjoyed tacos and margaritas.
We recently hosted a corporate event at Kavas Tacos in Orlando, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Their team made the planning process completely seamless—they were responsive, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. The experience only got better once we arrived onsite the night of the event. A special thank you to Alex, the General Manager, who was absolutely fantastic to work with. Despite inclement weather, he went above and beyond to ensure our event was executed perfectly. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made a huge difference. We will absolutely be back for future events and will be sure to stop in for dinner whenever we’re back in town. I highly recommend hosting an event here or simply coming in to enjoy the great atmosphere, incredible staff, and delicious food!
I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. On top of that, the service was just as impressive. Our server, Joselin, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are equally outstanding, but this spot nailed it. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back.
Absolutely incredible! No comments. The birria tacos are a MUST. If you eat one thing in Florida, let it be Kavas Tacos + Tequila. The servers are incredibly kind and the atmosphere is beautiful. It’s calm, authentic, and colourful: all while not being overstimulating. The food comes out piping hot and is delicious. The consommé is flavourful and an amazing addition to the perfectly crispy tacos.
Yelian was an amazing and attentive server in the midst of the heavy crowd and fun. The food was outstanding (Big Ass Nacho - Birria) and the margarita was great. Everything tasted fresh. Definitely returning! Also, go to Opa Tavern upstairs - PHENOMENAL (both are under the same chain)
I was in the mood for some tacos and decided to check this place out. It’s located inside a mall, and the parking is in a garage where you pay by phone. We got seated right away. It was busy but not packed. The restaurant is super colorful with a lively atmosphere, and they played some really good music. For an appetizer, I started with the esquites. Which is a Mexican street corn served off the cob. It was delicious. Then I had the chicken chimichangas, and they were absolutely amazing. They’re smothered in Kavas queso, and the best part is the waitress pours it right in front of you so you can watch all that cheesy goodness you’re about to devour.
Never left a review here but I feel it’s time to contribute. This restaurant is amazing, the atmosphere the ambiance and the staff. The food is made from scratch and has unique and delicious flavors. It is very pricy so definitely a place to take your partner on a date, not a family restaurant unless you are Donald Trump rich. Otherwise I love it here, just wish they had more of a value menu, cause you will all out spending $150 plus with tip. They have mariachis some days and fire throwing others. Such a fun and great place to be!
This place was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! We booked a reservation for 5 for our sister's 29th Birthday Celebration. First of All, We were greeted and concierged through the restaurant by the most live, engaging, magnetic and entertaining hostess I've ever encountered! Amazing Music selection that's loud but you can still have a conversation vibe. We showed up right on time for the fire performer who danced with, twirled, swung and, ate fire under awesome lighting and center stage in the restaurant! We ordered the Biddia loaded fries, the mixed enchilada platter with questions, a rice and pork dinner, the device and had 2 Saint Kava drinks-which they lit on fire for you right at the table! Whenever there was silence between us at the tables, there was moving to great music, absorbing the efficient fast pace environment, taking in the great decorations and Amazing areas set up for Photoshoots- There was the Hostess- in her own amazing bubbly confident vibe spreading pisitivity and excitement. She was dancing and smiling and being helpful so effortlessly. The manager came through and checked up on us and all. This place was more than a vibe and let's not forget the placement! It's situated perfectly into its surrounding area. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to groups of friends but, honestly I feel like this is a Fun , Delicous and Celebratory/Jovial place that serves high energy and exceeds expectations of elanyone who comes in! Please try them out for birthdays, graduations, or ANY small thing you want to celebrate with friends/family/groups of people!
Our perfect experience started at the door of this proudly and locally owned place before we were even seated - Lisa, the hostess greeted us with her big smile and vibrant personality. On beat with the salsa music playing she danced us to our table and got our party started. The food - THE BEST, hands down, Latino food we’ve had. Homemade recipes passed down generations we were told - it shows. Drinks - phenomenal. Desserts - we had the chocolate chip cookies and Horchata for dipping - this is NOT the powdered nasty Horchata places normally serve. Homemade and delicious. Truly a wonderful culinary experience. As if that’s not enough - a short exotic fire show while you eat. All I can say is, although this place is located in a tourist area, I’m SO glad I live in Florida and can visit again soon!!! If you eat anywhere in Orlando, eat here.
Best Drinks on International Drive! This place has the best drinks you’ll find anywhere on I-Drive! Everything was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. What made the experience even better was our waitress, Valentina — she was absolutely amazing! Friendly, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does. Valentina’s recommendations were spot on, and her great attitude made the night even more enjoyable. Definitely coming back, and will be asking for her again!
The service was awesome and we both felt very welcomed from the second we entered. First time visiting here and we will definitely return as they have an awesome happy hour and delicious food. They have three different flavoured Margaritas on special and are really nicely made drinks and great value for the money.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. It was really busy when we arrived but were able to get a table pretty quickly. The service was great and even though they were busy they were still very attentive to us. The menu is large with a lot of options. The spicy margarita was great! The food was also good. Highly recommend for a fun night as they had live music traveling throughout the restaurant as well.
We had the most amazing night at Kavas! The atmosphere and food is incredible. Our server Jordan was fantastic and had the best personality! He recommended incredible dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed! We lucked out and were able to dine outside and the mariachi band was playing and it added to the overall incredible experience. I came here on vacation but if I lived in Orlando I would be a regular at this restaurant. Make this a definite stop if you are on vacation and if you are lucky enough to live here why have you not been here before? By the way ask the mariachi band to play “Ring of Fire “ you won’t be disappointed. Updated review : We are back in Orlando and again Kavas did not disappoint!! Excellent food (again) and our waiter Alex was awesome. We were able to experience the fire dancer performance and were truly amazed!! Make sure you make a reservation to experience and enjoy a truly incredible restaurant!
Absolutely loved our experience here. The food was phenomenal, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish came out perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. What truly made the night unforgettable, though, was the service. Our server Glaribethl was incredible attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience. She checked in at all the right times, made great recommendations, and had such a positive energy. On top of that, Javier, the manager, went above and beyond. He made us feel so welcomed, ensured everything was perfect, and you can tell he takes pride in both his team and the restaurant. That kind of leadership really shows. The environment was warm, lively, and inviting. The kind of place you actually want to sit, relax, and enjoy your meal. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, this place absolutely nails it. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend
A beautiful place inside & out. I love the vibes and the decor of the restaurant. The waitress was nice & attentive even when a huge party came in (it was lunch time) she still checked on us & gave us great customer service. We also had other waiters come to our table & check on us. The food was decent. I only had the BIG ASS NACHOS…everything was fresh…I’m just not use to corn on my nachos BUT it was still good. I can see this place being the place to be at night for entertainment and food. I will def come back to visit.

We enjoyed the service and entertainment the most if I'm being honest. Food was ok to us but I would recommend others to dine in. The staff made the dinning experience fun and enjoyable.
Kavas has a great atmosphere. Food is excellent. Everyone in my party of 8 enjoyed their food. I recommend this restaurant for Mexican foodies! Our waiter, Diego, did a good job with service. We had slight issue but Diego rectified it and we were smooth sailing from there. Management service was top notch, above and beyond. We didn’t catch the entertainment 🙁
Really great happy hour specials here! Small bites menu is affordable and pitchers of house margs at half price is a really good deal. Chips are fresh and the house salsa has some nice spice to it with a kick. If you’re on the drive and need to pregame for an event this is a great choice. Interior is clean and vibrant, and it was easy to get seated. Inside and outside seats available!
Amazing Food. Great service. Ample portion. Bottomless sodas. Top top tier Margaritas. We sat outside for daytime lunch. Inside is huge and very well decorated. We will be back for a 2nd visit before returning home. . . . Update after 2nd visit. We returned at a busier evening time. Place was jammed. Got a table for 6. Unfortunately our server was trying to cope with an 19 seater beside us. As a result we were left waiting a lot and food arrived before our drink order came and at one stage I had to go to bar for my own refill. 1 star removed from review as a result. The server shoukd not have been left alone with a table that size. Everyone else suffered as a result

Great spot we've been here many times, but this is the first time we went for brunch. The food was decent but the prices were a bit on the high side and they nickel and dime you for everything extra. They need to start saying there's an upcharge for everything you add on, and I do mean everything brunch for 2 people was easily over $100 with no alcohol. Honestly I'd rather go for lunch or dinner here because brunch is definitely not it for the money you're spending.
Make reservations if possible. We didn’t make reservations but got seated on their outdoor area. Can’t give ideas how’s the atmosphere inside. Service was friendly, nice & very good. Carnitas are awesome with the right amount of spice for us. Shrimp taco also good. Chimichanga ok. Burrito bowl with ground beef are so so.
During our family vacation in Orlando, we decided to check out Kavas Tacos + Tequila, and we were not disappointed! The ambience and vibe of the restaurant were fantastic, featuring a lively mariachi band that really enhanced the experience. The drinks were impressive, and we enjoyed the variety offered. The ceviche was definitely the highlight of the meal, fresh and flavorful. However, some of the other dishes could have used a bit more seasoning, and we found the consome to be a bit oily and lacking flavor. Despite these minor issues, the service was exceptional; the staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. In summary, while I wouldn’t prioritize the food overall, Kavas Tacos + Tequila is definitely worth a visit for its atmosphere, great drinks, and standout ceviche!
Loved the atmosphere! The art and decor was incredible! Our server was good but didn’t seem super sociable and didn’t check on us much - the restaurant was quite busy when we came on Sunday so that’s alright. The food was good. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat that’s aesthetically pleasing and has a nice vibe I would recommend checking Kavas out.
We really enjoyed the food. I can agree that a lot of people would find it to be a fun place. It's lively for sure. Maybe a bit too loud for me. The music seemed to get louder and louder the longer we stayed. Our service was super friendly, but not overly attentive. At several points, all in my party had to get the attention of our waitress and ask several times for drink refills. It was never just one request; it always had to be multiple requests. The food was really good and it came quickly.
If you're looking for a spot to get a quick Mexican lunch in, chill out with some margaritas at, or for a nice dinner, Kavas is the place to go. The food here is tasty and serving sizes are pretty good. The restaurant itself is clean and presents a lively and fun atmosphere. The staff here are friendly as well, and the bartender I had was especially nice. Happy Hour here is definitely to be noted down as the drinks and prices are a good deal (especially in Orlando). The drinks themselves were very good and they do not skimp on the alcohol. This is a great restaurant to go to by yourself or with the family.
Preface this review by saying the restaurant had a large private party in the bar area. Food came out super quick and was fresh. Food was good but wasnt anything phenomenal. Restaurant was super loud, so much we had to practically yell to out server to place our order. Live band was kinda cool, but just added unnecessary to the volume of the atmosphere.
Brought my in laws, who are visiting from out of town, here last night and they really enjoyed it! I'd never been here either. I thought the food was really good. I got the steak and chicken fajitas.…
Nice spot, good margaritas. Service was a little slow but would go again. Had tacos and there was a great mariachi band.

Kavas Tacos & Tequila has a lot of potential, especially when it comes to entertainment and atmosphere. The vibe is lively, upbeat, and fun—definitely a place that feels like it’s meant for socializing and enjoying a night out. The music and overall energy create an enjoyable environment, and the entertainment really helps set the tone for a good time. That said, the experience fell short in a few key areas. The restaurant appeared noticeably understaffed during my visit, which impacted service. While the staff on hand seemed to be doing their best, wait times were longer than expected and service felt rushed at times. It wasn’t necessarily poor service, just stretched thin. As for the food, it was okay but nothing memorable. The dishes were edible and presented fine, but the flavors didn’t stand out, especially for a place that positions itself around tacos and tequila. Given the atmosphere and pricing, I expected more from the food itself. Overall, Kavas Tacos & Tequila shines in entertainment and ambiance, but improvements in staffing and food quality would go a long way toward making the experience match the energy of the space. I’d consider returning for drinks and the vibe, but I hope to see improvements if dining is the main focus.
I don’t know is just not for me. We had a great time because we joined a birthday party. I didn’t enjoy the plate nor the drinks. Everything was spicy including the drinks and I get it it’s Mexican food but they should have options not so spicy. Overall a person that enjoys spicy food they will love it. Ohh and the mariachi band was a great. Server not so attentive given the fact we went a Saturday morning around 12pm and it was pretty empty our group was around 10 people he could have done better.

Evening dinner meal was pleasant. Our waiter started out very energetic and vibrant it got busier so the energy kind of faded but he still was very attentive. One thing I did not prefer was they did not make virgin daiquiris or really any virgin drinks I was able to get a virgin margarita made although it's not something they normally have the bartender accommodated and made that for me. My fish tacos or delicious as well as my shrimp tacos also ask for an additional side of sauce to go with them if you like your food a little more moist and not so dry or whatever the sauce is that they put on the tacos automatically. It really helped. The meal was around $42 which was interesting because all I ordered was the shrimp tacos and a friend had the fish tacos that I tried. However I guess the two virgin drinks that I ordered, I was charged like they were an alcohol beverage I did not care for that at all. The ambience was pleasant very welcoming it was in a very busy area in Orlando, lots of tourists and locals so it was definitely a lot of through traffic. Yes I would return.
I visited Kavas Tacos & Tequila on November 18, 2025 while on a business trip with a group of fellow business owners. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. There was even a performer doing a small fire show which added a nice touch to the evening. I ordered a large burrito and a diet soda. The burrito normally comes with chicken. I asked if it could be prepared half chicken and half carne asada. Our original server was resistant to this request and declined to enter the order. The issue was escalated to the manager, Omar, who had been given the wrong information from the server. He then involved the general manager, Vassilis, who came over to speak with me directly. Once I explained the situation, the general manager handled it professionally. He assured me the request was no problem. He corrected the misunderstanding and reassigned our table to a new server, Sabrina, who provided excellent service for the remainder of the evening. As a gesture of goodwill, he also provided a complimentary round of tequila for those in our group who were drinking. I appreciated his professionalism and his willingness to make things right. Overall, I give this restaurant three stars. The food was good. The atmosphere was fun. The initial service issue was disappointing, but the general manager resolved it quickly and respectfully. Because of his actions, I would return. He even invited us to the upstairs Greek restaurant they operate, which we hope to try on a future visit when we have more time.
We went here for Valentines's day, the place was packed and we had to wait outside even with a reservation. They had a show before we arrived, so we are sad we missed it. After we were seated we were offered the Valentines menu, which was good enough for 2, I totally forgot to take pics of the fajitas, which was really good, the Margarita for 2 had enough alcohol in it, however, the desserts was uneatable, it had a hard crust which was hard as a rock, it seems they made 500 of these 'dessert' for this day and they stored it in the fridge for a month or so. Other than that, the food, the appetizers and the drinks were good and the restaurant is very well decorated.
The atmosphere is nice and trendy but unfortunately that seems to be what you're mostly paying for. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated but the food itself was very underwhel…

My party and I agreed that this was the worst Mexican restaurant we have ever been to specifically because the food was simply not good. We got the combo platter, parrillada for two. The beef was absolutely disgusting with an odd chemical taste. The pork had absolutely no flavor at all. Chicken was cooked well. Shrimp was ok but not great. Overall, nothing was seasoned well and nothing had any flavor except for the nasty beef. I can't beging to tell you how disgusting and off-putting that beef was. Even this chips were bland. Service was average at best and the waiter never came back to refill drinks or water. One odd experience here was that I stood up to leave and someone immediately came over to tell me to sit down. Confused, I told him I was leaving. He started explaining that I couldn’t leave because a show was about to start and I had to sit for safety reasons. I didn’t and just left but it was an odd experience. If you’re going to keep people there or require them to sit, you should probably tell them in advance, not seconds before the show starts. Keep in mind, people coming to your restaurant, don't even know you have shows, so it's odd to assume they're going to know to comply with your schedule. I see in your reviews that it's some kind of "fire show". My recommendation to management -- focus on your food and stop worrying about entertainment. The food needs so much help that anything else shouldn't even be considered before that's given attention. What was very clear about this restaurant is that they don’t care at all about quality food and they’re just making money on tourist who they know will show up either way. Generally, I would describe the food as “gross” and the overall experience as “unpleasant”. Will never repeat even if you paid me. I try to be absolutely honest in my reviews and post both positive and negative, but I absolutely hated this restaurant and it was an all-time low.
Atmosphere is cool but it's expected bc it's Pointe of Orlando. However the food is disgusting, the shrimp tacos were from frozen and bland with tiny little drizzles of sauce on it. The elote street corn was a disgrace to Mexican culture! It's frozen corn on the cobb with parmesean cheese on it, no flavor or tajin or Mexican mayo nothing! Also, it came with a hair on it!! See for yourself and don't waste your money! We left full of mango juice (margarita) and not food. No manager in sight and the bartender couldn't find one either! They weren't even busy.. Big epic fail, this area is nothing but a cash grab area.
Extremely disappointing experience. The food was mediocre at best and nowhere near worth the price. The service was just as bad — inattentive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, the waiter followed us outside to complain about not leaving a tip. That behavior is completely unacceptable. Tips are earned based on service, and confronting customers is inappropriate and uncomfortable. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to others.
