Great place for lunch, or dinner. If you're staying at the nearby Marriott Springhill Suites, its about a 7-minute walk. We tried the Salmon Kobachi Bowl and the Sushi Lunch Combo. Both tasted great and the fish was very fresh. Lots of choices including Hibachi options.

Nobody was there yesterday. It was myself 3 other tables, one outside, the rest of us were inside. Peaceful. Sushi was good!I went during happy hour, had 4 rolls. I will warn you if you are sick n tired of the California roll or dislike it all together, do not get the crunchy roll. All it is---California roll with tempura flakes on top. That annoyed me but it's my fault for misreading. My favorite was the fish tempura roll. I've been twice but can only tell you I had the Tuna roll each time. Pictures are from 2 different visits. The 4 rolls are from top to bottom: Fish tempura, eel roll, crunchy roll, and Tuna roll. Anyways, I'll be back. 😉

Nice place with good food. The spicy edamame was good. The crunchy roll could use more crunch though. Gyoza, dumplings, were really good.

The food was great. The servers weren’t really on top of it but we did get everything we ordered. Very reasonably priced and tasted fresh. But it was a little smoky in the restaurant from them cooking on the grill. And they had large portions which was also good.

This is easily one of the best fast-casual Japanese restaurants we've visited. We ordered the lunch chicken & shrimp hibachi combo with salad and steamed rice, and the lunch steak hibachi with salad and fried rice- both were exceptional! The salads were brought out immediately after we sat down, generously topped with ginger dressing (we all know that struggle), and tasted very fresh. Our entrées followed just a few minutes later- so fast! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a quick, delicious, and satisfying bite. (Photo was taken post-salad, hence the empty bowls!)

Was a pretty solid experience overall for delivery. Everything was pretty well fresh, and the portion sizes were huge! Ordered for an office lunch, will definitely be adding to our list of places to order from. Pictured some of what we ordered in my review.

Overall this place has great quality food, for a reasonable price, close to an airport where everything is over priced. You’re better off stopping here before your flight to enjoy a decent meal and not an over priced beer in the airport. This is merely 10 minutes up the road, before the airport. Great decor, clean environment, friendly staff. And always an enjoyable, head nodding meal.

The dinners here are a bit on the pricey side compared to the restaurants in the surrounding area, but with good reason. You're getting higher end hibachi quality food . The restaurant rides a fine line between fast food and family dining atmosphere but it just kinda works. Dinner runs us about 25$ per person which is about half of what we pay for the same amount of food at a higher end hibachi place.

Eric the GM and the other staff were so amazing! From the moment we walked in he was engaging with us and seemed really sweet! The food was amazing and even though it’s a chain restaurant it felt like a mom and pop type of vibe 🫶🏽

From the moment you enter Kyoto Sushi Grill, the inviting atmosphere and delightful aromas capture your attention. The variety of options on the menu is infinite, catering to the most demanding tastes. The journey of exquisite flavors and perfect tempura crunchiness starts with the sides and appetizers, which are to die for, especially with all the sauces, notably their yum yum sauce—a truly flavorful combination for all the dishes.Rachel's attentive service enhanced every flavor experience. Her smile and warmth were the perfect complement to the meal. The meat is cooked and seasoned to perfection, while the soups and ramen exceeded my expectations and satisfied my cravings. I've now developed a new craving: coming here every day to enjoy their endless sushi variety.Kyoto Sushi Grill is a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience.

11/10 experience here at the Lee Vista Kyoto Sushi location. From the time we entered to the time we left we were attentively cared for and served. I was not expecting the food to be so good! We got the hibachi chicken & steak, fried rice and noodles, caterpillar roll, and my bf mixed like three boba fruit flavors together which was delicious 🤩! The GM, Eric and staff were so funny and welcoming, felt like family! Eric even took a boba shot with us oh my bf’s concoction. Definitely would recommend! Fresh food, clean and nice atmosphere, excellent service! I’ll be back!

The food was fire today. Had a ginger chicken salad and I know that's not a first choice for most at an Asian restaurant. That was the best I ever had. Hand made ginger dressing was amazing. I also ordered a chicken teriyaki roll and their sushi chef has significantly stepped their game up. The price was a bit high. But the food was delicious.

Staff were super helpful and attentive. Ordered the "Sushi Boat for 2" which was a good way to order a ton of sushi to start for the indecisive. Plus it arrives in a literal boat! We also got a few rolls, beer and saki during their Happy Hour 4-6. Highlights was the salmon, surprisingly. Very creamy. All the fish was beautiful. I even enjoyed the whitefish which I usually don't care too much for. Lots of flying fish roe and avocado over almost everything too, which is a plus in my book. Definitely will be back. Cute decor and atmosphere too for being in a strip mall. Lots of black and red. Lofi music in the background like that infamous YouTube channel.

My girlfriend and I just dropped off some friends at the airport and she had eaten here in the past and said that we should try it for dinner. She ordered the Shrimp Tempura Bento box with vegetable tempura. It comes with Miso soup and salad. She said her Tempura was crispy and everything was well seasoned. I ordered the Hibachi Steak dinner rare. It also comes with Miso soup and salad. The soup was hot, flavored well and had 4 seaweed strips and a few cubes of tofu. The salad greens were fresh and crispy and the ginger dressing was the perfect amount and tasted great. My steak was prepared perfectly rare and was still moist and juicy. The vegetables were seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection. The Soba noodles were also seasoned nicely and not too salty. We also tried their Taro and Honeydew boba milk teas and they had a good amount of boba and were both very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was very nice.

Such a great date night! Chill atmosphere. Clean! And can we talk about the food?! From the miso soup to the fresh crab Rangoon (side homemade sauce, delicious). There was a flavor blast in every bite of sushi. Let’s not forget about the Hibachi! The steak melts in your mouth. We even tried a new beer, Sapporo! Will definitely return soon! Service was A1 *****

Delicious food, big variety of menu items! I had a hard time choosing with so many options, but picked the unagi poke bowl and a mango boba tea. Both were fantastic and well prepared. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. While dining in the restaurant, we only waited 7-10 minutes for the food to arrive. Eel was fresh and tasty. We will be back!

Im a regular here and i usually enjoy my food but today had a horrible experience i ordered for delivery for my parents as its my father its birthday so i ordered my parents a shrimp dinner hibachi and cheescake tempura but when the food got there the noodles had many burnt particles i asked for the ice cream on the side for the cheesecake tempura so we can put it in the freezer as we eat and it doesnt melt they literally put my ice cream between two sauce containers with no lid the ice cream was literally dripping thats really unaccpetable it also looked as if they had put the ice cream in the cheesecake container and then scooped it up with the sauce containers as there is residue inside the cheesecake container. Ive never had a problem with kyoto but today they really let me down on a special day highly disappointed. 😔 after this experience the restaurant reached out to me and offered an apology and a credit based on my experience i do appreciate that gesture and the sweetness of their customer service therefore raising the stars on this review and refining it to leave it on a happy note with the resaurant.😊

On my 9-hour layover in Orlando, I wasn't sure what I would do to fill my time. Against the warnings of my friends and family, I left the terminal for dinner. I wasn't about to pay $25 for a McChicken. I found myself in the plaza in which Kyoto- Lee Vista inhabits. I've long lamented the fact that America doesn't seem to have any authentic Japanese restaurants. Looking through the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see they had more selection than most. I ordered the miso ramen with scallops. I love miso. If you haven't had it, it's a paste made from fermented soy beans. It's pure umami. Nothing is like it. It is my life. I would marry it if this country wasn't so puritan. Anyway, politics aside. It was HUGE. the bowl was bigger than my head, and I have a big head. I can't wear hats because they don't make them big enough to fit my watermelon-esque physique. I'm telling you, if phrenology was a legitimate science, this bowl of ramen would be the smartest bowl in the country. It tasted amazing. Savory and yet a whisper of sweetness from the scallops and bok choy. Don't get me started on bok choy because it's my favorite broccoli cultivar and we would be here for another 6 paragraphs. The egg was perfectly seasoned. Soft boiled and steeped in a soy sauce and sesame oil soup until it absorbs all the amazing flavors. Somehow they made the yolk almost sizzle in my mouth. Almost as if it were carbonated but with explosive flavor instead. The staff were friendly and attentive. I was struggling to inhale the bowl of food sent from Above and they kept checking on me to make sure it was good enough. It was more than good enough. If I'm ever in Orlando again, you better believe I'm returning.

Stopped in post-conference before my flight, and the experience was stellar. I am gluten free, and the general manager ensured everything was prepared safely for me. We stayed for a few hours, and the service from the GM was outstanding the entire time. He also did a wonderful job preparing the sushi. We ordered nigiri platters, and the rice to fish ratio was perfect, with a focus on the cuts of fish. The experience was truly perfect after a long week.

I’ve been to a few of the Kyoto locations around Orlando, the front of house staff here are very friendly and attentive! The restaurant is always clean as well. The only issue I have is that the quality of the hibachi grill items varies HEAVILY depending on who is working. There’s a staff member that I recognize and if I see them working the grill when I walk in, I just know the food won’t be as good as it could be. If the food was made more consistently across the board, I’d have no complaints about this place. :)

We loved the sushi at Kyoto..so good 😊 Especially the one with krab topping. We ate everything and usually have leftovers. The service was a little off because we went 30 minutes before they closed, they seemed annoyed that we showed up. But it was nice to have sushi 🍣 with my ex boyfriend, one last time. It was a rarity. Worth every penny I paid:)

Pretty decent sushi place, not your top wow sushi (which to be honest are not easy to find in any city) but very solid. Many people go with friends for all you can eat sushi. The menu is standard and you can find it on their website. Décore is nice and decent. Food quality good to very good. I thought sushi rice could be a tiny bit better but maybe it was just me being picky. Service is good.

R

Very affordable Japanese restaurant. Also, I was very impressed with the quality of sushi I received. Fantastic presentation and flavor. Not what I would expect at this price point. I was less than impressed with the hibachi dinner. The soup was tasty as was the ginger salad. However, the noodles and fried rice need some love. They were tasteless.

I went for the fist time and love the food, my server was amazing. Great for casual dining, family and why not a 1st date. The place is cozy enough for that. They have sushi and for the people who don't eat fish they offer a hibachi option with chicken.

J
Jacob DeGraw

I had some yellow fin nigiri, beef shoyu ramen, and sake for dinner. The nigiri was very good with the yellow fin being very velvety and flavorful. I'm not sure what kind of sake they serve, but I thought it was good as well. The ramen was just okay though. The noodles were totally clumped together and wouldn't separate, and the broth was quite heavy and a bit too salty. But the beef was tender, so that was a plus.

So it wasn’t off to a good start with my first time here. I arrived before 3:30 which is the cut off for the sushi lunch special, but of course there were people in front of me and when I went up to the girl taking the order I asked her a few questions as well, which took up time. So she started my order and I asked for the “shrimp tempura roll” and the “tuna, salmon, tuna sushi or sashimi” not realizing it wasn’t a roll since my previous question to her was “how many pieces come with the lunch special.” So when I decided to change it to another roll, she clicked out of my order and then said “oh no! It’s no longer the lunch special. It closed out and I can’t reopen it.” So I asked her if we could ask the manager and she said “he’s kind of strict on the rules and won’t honor it.” So I ended up ordering the “Flamin’ Roll” and a “thai tea.” Now, getting to the food and drink. The Thai Tea was NOT that good or even worth the $6 I paid. The boba was also extremely soft and was not pleasant to the taste. The sushi however was pretty good. It was visually appealing and tasted just as good as it looked. The guy who served it was just as kind and polite. What I also appreciated was that they did not charge me extra for the spicy mayo on the side, which most locations do. Overall, was it worth $26? No. The only thing that bumped this up a star was the service from the gentleman and the sushi from the “Special Roll” section.

Traveled most of the day and needed food stat. This place is located near my hotel and it was just okay. This is definitely a more fast casual type of restaurant, almost Pei Wei style, might have been the menu/ordering process and set up. Ordered the nigiri 8 piece special and and the Mexican Roll. The quality reflected the fast casual experience. Perhaps there are other things on the menu that are their strong point. The dining area was spacious and has an outdoor seating option. Don’t know if I would intentionally return if this restaurant were in my town. Try something other than the nigiri.

I've been to other locations However food was disappointing to be honest Sushi wasn't bad nor good Way too much sauce on the rolls The sashimi pieces were the only good thing pretty fresh. But for the price I'd expect a much better quality Mom had hibachi it was okay way too much sauce and onion pieces were huge they should be cut smaller Definitely not coming back sorry

The sushi was fine. It wasn’t special or elegant. We expected that for the happy hour prices. The price has increased since other reviews. It was now $4.95 per roll. Personally, I like sushi. I est a lot of sushi. Which means a low price per roll is needed. I think I will keep looking. I wasn’t disappointed with this, but it also was drawing me back. 🤷‍♂️

SKETCHY AND NON SINITARY! I used to come here 24/7 but not anymore. While everyone could see, the guy making sushi & cooking the steak had gloves on, scratched his head, touched the steak with the same gloves, scratched his head again, & repeated this multiple times. I went and told the host at the register about it and they made him change his gloves. It was the fact that he did not care about who saw him when he was in the open. Will not be eating here again.

I didn't like gyoza much ; its not that hot and sauce is bland. But our main dish, teriyaki chicken with Fried rice and sushi was good. We enjoyed it. For the drink Thai tea is good but milk tea is too sweet maybe bacause of Boba water added to it.

Got hibachi to go for my mom’s birthday, she doesn’t eat beef and ended up finding a piece in her noodles. All of our salmon that I ordered looked like it was steamed or baked for 5min. It just didn’t look like salmon or cooked at all until you break it apart. It was really unsettling to see because I eat mostly seafood and I never seen salmon look like that in my life. Thought it would be like going to any hibachi place but unfortunately the salmon took the meal down from 8 to a 5.

I have been in this place several times for the last 4 years… the Cashiers have CERO MANNERS AT ALL and then they wanna get tip…. Also i found RIDICULOUS that they are charging you for the Spicy mayo sauce and the Eal sauce… first time a sushi place do that to me… last time i visit that place again

I've been told a lot of good things about this restaurant but I was shocked, to say the least. I ordered the sushi boat for two, and I honestly expected more than what I got for the price. My favorite item was the shrimp tempera roll. The sashimi white fish slices were also good. Unfortunately, I had to spit out some of the Nagiri. After eating the tuna and salmon, we found the other pieces to not be fresh. In reality, it should not have been served at all... All though the presentation is colorful and gorgeous when it comes to sushi fresh is key and we did not find that here. I have heard to go for the hibachi and plan to revisit just for that and reevaluate the rating at a later time.

After reading the reviews we were excited to try it however we were disappointed. The atmosphere feels more like a fast food joint, very large menu, you go up to the counter to order. The young lady the brought us our food was very nice that’s why it gets two stars. We ordered green tea and the mugs were dirty. Just very disappointed, not worth the $50.00.

My food was brought to me looking half eaten I only had 1 scoop of rice in the corner & the chicken didn’t look nor taste like it usually does. Couldn’t even eat it because of how it looked especially not for $15 worth that was horrible

The food was decent, but the service was POOR! If you ask for gratuity BEFORE I dine in then I expect the service to measure up! The server brought our food to the table and once we were eating she NEVER returned to the area where we were sitting; not even making eye contact as we sat watching her go back and forth. This has definitely changed my perspective on gratuity BEFORE I dine! I WILL NOT return to this establishment!

This is one of those places that is a victim of their management style and rules. The food at Kyoto is typically always great, I frequent the Kyoto on 50 and for some reason the food there just seems fresher. The Kyoto on Lee Vista has just finally reminded me to never return to this location. Management seems so stuck on the minimal penny pinching effort that I’m sure they count the napkins they give you. I’m a creature of habit and I continuously order the same items, a double order of sushi with a preference of white sauce rather than sesame sauce and every single time I order my $30+ meal for one person my request for a little dipping cup of white sauce becomes an issue, again today I was reminded I can only get ONE packet of white sauce for my TWO orders of sushi. So, I came back to work and enjoyed sipping on my $2.95 tiny cup of soda from this location and decided I’ll never return :) No more group lunch breaks to Kyoto, no more mobile orders. This is a terrible location for the brand, again, not because of the food, but ridiculous policies and lack of awareness with repeat customers. My business isn’t valued.

I ordered for pick up Tuna Tataki, edamame, chicken bento box and Steak and Seafood hibachi. The only thing I recommend is the Tuna Tataki which was amazing and fresh and the edamame was ok but needed salt for our liking as for the rest of it let’s say we ended up having to order elsewhere bc we threw everything away. I ordered the steak to be medium and ended up with well done steak and gummy textured shrimp. When I tell you not even a mere dash of salt or pepper on either the steak or shrimp. I didn’t even try the rice or noodles it came with. One of the salads had no ginger dressing in it and like I stated before it went in the trash and we ordered from Tokyo SteakHouse & Sushi and no regrets!

Brought my Japanese mom here for lunch. She ordered Udon with shrimp tempura. Never had Udon like this before with onion, zucchini and broccoli in the broth. I had the hibachi chicken. Portion was big, but it was swimming in sauce which was too sweet for my taste. Our server was very considerate and offered to make us other food, which we declined.

Just wanted to share that yes the service and atmosphere of the store is great but the food was a bit off. I've ordered the chicken hibachi and the rice taste burnt and my girlfriend ordered the ramen and it seems like they used spaghetti noodles instead of ramen noodles. The only good part from the order was a chicken and vegetables that I had from the hibachi.

I just want to say please work on your packaging of to-go orders and train your employees to be more careful. I order take out very frequently and I’ve received wrong/messed up orders before but this just topped it tonight wow. At about 9pm I ordered 2 sushi rolls, the fried banana desert, miso soup, and a bottle of sake. It was expensive but it’s a price that I was willing to pay because I’ve dined in restaurant before and loved my food. To my surprise, I was horrified with what I saw as I started to unpack my food. First of all, the miso soup had spilled everywhere, and until then I was understanding because it could have been the handlers fault. Then I saw the two rolls I ordered squished together in one box looking like a mess, IM SORRY???? Two different rolls should come in different boxes, that’s just common sense. They were literally for me and my friend who doesn’t like eel sauce and the sauce from my roll got all over hers! The spicy mayo drizzle that was supposed to come on her roll also was not added so the sushi was just bland and dry and not spicy at all +sweet from all the eel sauce that spilled over. When it couldn’t get even worse, I open the desert box to find 2 cold sad looking churros that I didn’t order along with one other cold and sad looking piece of the banana desert, THEN THERE WAS THE LITTLE CONTAINER OF “ICE CREAM” they include, like literally a table spoon of ice cream which had melted completely and opened in the container turning the whole plate a soggy mess. I work at a restaurant, I’m not picky, but THIS FOR $80 is a ROBBERY. I just don’t understand how my order was even allowed to leave the restaurant looking like that what the heck. DO BETTER ITS EMBARRASSING. Sad to say I will never order or dine in again even though I once loved this place. The picture below is quite literally what’s I saw as I opened the container holding my desert order. Ugly, inedible, horrifying.

Walked in and it was hotter in the building than outside so we decided to take our lunch to go. Well upon getting home, I open our box and it’s as if we were given someone’s half eaten box of food! $15 for basically someone else’s left overs. Absolutely disgusting.

This place was a total disappointment I ordered a honeydew bubble tea and they filled the cup up with ice and gave me 3 swallows of drink.the sushi was broken up into pieces as if they used fake rice

Food was great if it wasn’t cold would of definitely gave it a 5 start rating. but employee light skinned girl black hair I don’t know if she was having a bad day but the attitude I received from her was totally unacceptable left my food on top of a table didn’t even tell me it was my order when I tried to say hi she just completely brushed me off and stormed off with the craziest attitude if you are having a bad day or don’t like your job find a new one but don’t take your frustration out on people that have nothing to do with anything about you especially not a customer!! Other than that food was great I just wish she would have told me that my order was ready so I didn’t have to wait and have my food get cold.

DISGUSTING and very disappointed. I used to eat here every day the manager here doesn’t really seem to care about how disrespectful his employees are. I complained before about hair in my food and when I came back to give them another chance they served me old food with wilted vegetables I complained again and the young lady asked me “didn’t u say you weren’t coming back”. Absolutely disgusting. AVOID this location at all cost. The amount of dirt buildup on the door is an indication that they absolutely don’t care.

Ordered a meal for family of four consisting of 5 rolls and two meals for delivery. Specifically requested sets of utensils…. They put 1 set of utensils in the bag. Meals were bland rolls were sub par. Not a place I will ever visit again, cost me $120 to learn this lesson the hard way

The place has a good setup, the people were kind, I order the steak lunch special and it was bad, the steak taste like an old meet put in a fridge drawer for weeks and than cooked. The salad was soggy and drowned in sauce. Overall I probably wouldn’t eat here again.

I don't think I've ever left an entire plate of food almost untouched. I ordered Uber eats and it's dinner time and I was extremely excited from the pictures. But the food was so unappealing it was gross. I left pretty much my entire hibachi. Wouldn't recommend this food ever.

I’m extremely disappointed and DISGUSTED. 🤢 I have come here several times. I ordered my food and made my way to the fountain drink. I noticed the dispenser where the ice comes out looked dirty so I took a closer look and there was a ROACH crawling !!! I couldn’t believe it. I immediately went to the cashier and told him to cancel the order (which they did) but when I told them I saw a roach they didnt even flinch, they were not surprised at all and just said sorry. that’s unacceptable. Bathroom is also dirty!

This food was actually so bad. The rolls had no flavor we paid $4 extra for lava topping and it was so little we could barely tell it was on there. If I’m being honest Publix has better sushi than here…. I will not be coming again. Their Avalon location is really good so I was expecting way more. It also took 45 mins to make 2 rolls and it wasn’t even busy…

s
susan granados

Worst experience ever. I ordered my food to pick up on 5/20/22 at 4:30 pm I asked for a fry noodles with steak and shrimp and white sauce on the side. I used to love this place and the food was always good but today when I picked up my order all I got was a little bit of noodles and some veggies. I went back to ask if they can fixed my plate and give me a little bit more of noodles at least but the girls in the front didn’t care at all and say the bento box are small and I clarified to her that I asked for stir fry noodles not a box and she say well that’s what we serve and she was not going to do nothing about it . Then I ask for a side of noodles that I was willing to pay but they stayed quit and just look at me like I was crazy just because I wanted a decent amount of food in my plate. I travel from my house just to eat there but they didn’t have no consideration for my request. Then I decided to leave because clearly they were rude and had no intention to help me. I left so disappointed in this restaurant. I ate the food but it was so small that I’m still hungry . For a $20 plate I expect something else. I guess I’ll have to go to any other place instead.

Z
Zee Zee

I’m really disappointed. I come here all the time. And it will be my LAST TIME coming here now because the food was cold and I literally just ordered it and it took maybe nine minutes for them to prepare my food so I’m assuming they gave me cold food leftovers. Because there is no way it took nine minutes for them to make a whole chicken hibachi and fried two sushi rolls. When I went to go eat the food and it made my stomach TURN and I ended up just throwing it away. I didn’t even want go back and argue with them or anything because I knew they weren’t even going give me my money back. Don’t waste your time here. They really don’t care about the customers that come here. I spent $40 here I’ll make sure to tell everyone to stop eating here! You expect to eat somewhere nice and it turns out they just don’t care at all about the people that come to eat here!

Ordered via Uber Eats. Huge portions of food that were largely boring and bland. But the real reason for this poor review was that one of the cooked scallops tasted and smelled as if it was going bad. They also packed our order incorrectly forgetting to send one dish (thank you Uber Eats for instantly refunding).

Vida Cotidiana y Espacios Comunitarios
