Lotus Garden

They have delicious food here. Their "I don't know" chicken (chicken in a peanut butter sauce) is amazing. We've always been pleased with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. It's also not terribly expensive for the price, and you get a LOT of food. They have good lunch specials too.

We’ve gone twice in the last 3 weeks and both times the food was delicious. Both times I ordered the “Flower connection” & my husband had the Orange chicken. Both were delivered hot, beautifully arranged on plate and were amazing. My husband said it was the best orange chicken he’s had in a long time. The egg rolls were also very good. Oh and those crunchy wonton strips served with the sweet sauce before the meal were soooo addicting. We kept asking for more. We’ve lived in this area for 25 years and Lotus Garden has been there at least 15 years and has never disappointed.

Best Egg Rolls. Ordered Pork Lo Mein, Sweet & Sour Chicken & Orange Chicken. Loved all of it !!! And even purchased an extra pint of sweet & sour & duck sauce. (Home made there). Highly recommend !!

My wife and I were greeted when we walked in and we were immediately seated and given menus. The waitress quickly got our drink order while also tending to other customers. We placed our appetizer order of egg rolls, egg drop/wonton soup mix and crab Rangoon. All were fresh and very tasty! The waitress gave us time to finish our appetizers before taking our dinner order. We ordered walnut shrimp, roast pork lo mein and general tso's chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious! They have an extensive menu and we're looking forward to trying different dishes. I must add that I first started eating at Lotus Garden when it was located at the opposite side and end of Dr Phillips Marketplace over 25 years ago, but it has been over 5 years since I've been there and it's just as good as I remember it!

You must try the Hot and Sour soup. It’s spicy good but it won’t burn your mouth. Extremely yummy. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, unlike most other Chinese places. It’s very tastefully decorated. Nice table and chairs. There are bigger tables that can accommodate a party of ten. It’s my first visit here and I’m glad I’ve found a place that’s worth 5 stars. I’ll definitely return to try other dishes. Also the smiles of the servers will make your day.

Always great flavour, large portions. It's usually empty between lunch & dinner so it is a safe feeling place between appointments I have in the area. A very relaxing atmosphere. No one rushes me as I sit & read while I eat, which I really appreciate. I suggest this strongly.

Small place but big comfy booths.... service was impeccable and food was even better!!! Scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly and everything was delicious!!!!

New location, new review. I stopped in at the new location (across from Publix in The Marketplace, same parking lot) and ordered to go. Be aware they don't have beer or wine any longer (yes I was going to have a glass while I waited). The staff was extremely organized and my food was out quick (yes it was slow but I was thinking it would take longer). I recommend looking through the menu before placing your order since there are a lot of options. The SHRIMP w/ vegetables was excellent!! A lot of shrimp, al dente vegetables. PERFECT.

We ordered here from Uber Eats and the white rice was missing, which I know is not ideal but when I contacted the restaurant they immediately offered to deliver the missing items and apologized. The food was so good! My favorites are the hot and sour soup and sesame chicken! We’ve ordered from here plenty of times before and never had a problem so I truly appreciate that the one time something was wrong you were quick to resolve, thank you!

Good food and a nice place. I little hard to find because it is not facing the street.

Keep it in perspective; it's the local Chinese delivery place. If you're looking for an exotic meal with fresh made everything and a culinary experience of ancient China this is not it. I think some of the negative reviews are people coming to "Restaurant Row" expecting a PF Chang's experience and realizing that's just not what it's about here. They keep it simple, relatively cheap, and they serve it hot and tasty every time. They rock the usual American-Chinese dishes that we all love. Pick anything on the menu and it will taste a lot better than most of the take out food you get. The service is friendly and I can't honestly recall them ever ruining my order or taking too long to deliver it (I've been eating here probably 15 years). I've seen maybe three other Chinese restaurants open in the area over the years and they've all failed... This place is better every time.

We ordered two dinners from takeout menu and only received one small container of rice for the both of us. We have gotten take out from them many times and we always get one small container of rice per meal we also ordered steamed dumplings that were not cooked all the way through. Our dinners were curry chicken and cashew chicken. Not the best we've never had but just okay. Just under $39 without tip. We have complimented them before but unfortunately this time they failed. We have never eaten on the inside because of the poor reviews. I stayed with take out because I was very happy up until now. I see all the comments that are made but never anything back from the owner. Most of the complaints you see are about the attitude of the help. They need to start reading and listening to their customers

So I ordered eggplant with brown sauce also hot and sour soup. The soup was great. The eggplant looked amazing And when I tasted I had asked if the sauce was salted they said no. What they fail to tell me, was it?Sweet tasted like 50 tsp of inverted, sugar.Or fructose corn syrup. I felt like it should be a dessert. The dish looked amazing if they only didn't add so much sugar.Or any sugar. When I'm eating vegetables, I don't want anything sweet and brown sauce to me.Is not supposed to be sweet. The strong oversstrong sugar like it wasn't natural.Sugar was awful and so toxic for the body. I wish they would have told me it was sweet.I would have ordered a sauce that was not sweet. They really should inform their customers of this.The dish was nice portion I felt like it was sweeter than any dessert.

It's an ok Chinese food restaurant to go. The front lady was good taking our orders. We had 3 chicken fried rice, broccoli chicken, szchezuan chicken, and garlic chicken. All were served hot and tasted ok. Would recommend for those craving once in a while Chinese food.

The restaurant was very hot inside and uncomfortable. The AC didn't seem to be working so we decided to do take out rather than eat in. This restaurant serves your typical fast food chinese take out menu itrms but with just a fancy dining room and waiter service. We ordered the chicken fried rice, chicken with broccoli and chicken with garlic sauce. The chicken fried rice was dark in color. Maybe from too much soy sauce? It tasted ok but lacked vegetables. Theee was just onion, chicken, and a few peas. Maybe some eggs but too little to make a difference. Both the chicken with broccoli and chicken with garlic sauce were good. A good amount of chicken but mostly vegetable fillers. Service was decent.

So my husband and I stopped there for a late take-out lunch (3:15ish). We just relocated to the area and were looking for some good Chinese food. Initial thoughts......1.Although the restaurant was relatively empty and several employees walked right by us, they did not acknowledge us for at least 5 minutes. 2. When we finally were able to order, the employee was very short. The Food..... we ordered sweet and sour chicken which Hubby said was just ok. He thought the chicken was "gummy", but loved the sauce. I had general tso's chicken and loved it! It was just the right amount of spice. The order took 10 minutes so it was quick! Price.....$37 So I'm conflicted here. We asked for fried instead of white rice and they charged us $3.50 each. We also paid dinner prices but I feel like we received lunch portions as it was not enough for 2 servings. The other thing that bothered me was that we didn't receive the complimentary egg roll or fortune cookie. Not sure if this is a Florida thing though. Bottom line is that we will try it again later down the road. It wasn't so bad that we won't try again and hubby can choose other dishes.

I'm new to the Orlando area and this establishment was recommended by my coworkers. I ordered take on my first visit, and the food quality was great However, on my second visit the quality of the food was not consistent with what we had gotten previously!! I won't be returning to this place of business....

low quality ingredients. Had chicken with broccoli and pork egg foo young. Did not finish either. Will not return here. friendly service , great hot and sour soup. They have fountain don't drinks and do not charge for refills , that is very very rare in an oriental restaurant.

Chicken with cashew nuts had tender nuggets of chicken but very little flavor. The Yang Chow fried rice was OK but certainly not worth $12.95. The fried rice was OK. Not recommended.

Beware if you order online!! You are not ordering directly through Lotus Garden. You are ordering through a third-party app called getsauce.com. They proceeded to add an 18% gratuity to Lotus Garden for pick-up while charging me an extra $10.50 to use their app to order online!! My order cost me an extra $18 for take-out!! After complaining to Lotus Garden Managment I was instructed to call and order over the telephone on future orders to avoid these charges. I will do that if I decide to order from Lotus Garden in the future!

Horrible!!!!, I can not understand how you can serve food like this,fried with feathers and discolored chicken wings absolutely discussed by this restaurant. My food was over $36 for 3 items, one being the 4 wings for $10 with extra feathers. My food was packed very messy, and the hot sauce they charged 50 cents was spilled all over my containers in the bag. It's just terrible over round. If it was not so late, I would have driven back and requested a refund.

Avoid this restaurant if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. We have ordered takeout from this restaurant before. I would say that the food was average, but the location is convenient. Every time we order, we ask about allergens; we have a family member who is allergic to nuts. We ordered several simple items and was assured that there would be/could be no exposure. Minutes after beginning his meal, my son started to have an allergic reaction. You cannot tell when a reaction is occurring whether it is an allergic reaction or food poisoning but the speed of the reaction suggested exposure to an allergen. He needed emergency treatment, which thankfully worked, but was frightening and will need several days of post emergency medication. I contacted the restaurant the next day, expecting to receive even some basic sympathy, and to point out the risk of cross contamination, but the manager was completely dismissive....at first saying it wasn't their food, and later even denying any possibility of cross contamination. He was not willing to recheck anything. The reality is, that if a cook did not use 100% clean utensils, or pots, have a clean counter, or even clean hands....that is all it takes. Or if they have had a change in their sourced ingredients, or if something was made outside the restaurant as opposed to being made onsite with ingredients that we/they could check. Again, anyone with food allergies knows that there is some risk when eating out, but most people find that by checking with the manager ahead of time (instead of a server) you can be safe. Whether they are sloppy in their practices or their kitchen used unchecked premade ingredients, I don't know-but we will never order from there again.

Ordered delivery today. The order delivered was wrong. They refused to fix it. Told me I could come pick up the right order. I didn't order delivery with the fees so I could drive there and pick it up. Good businesss admit their errors and take care of their customers. This one doesn't. Stay away

The Orange chicken was heavily battered, I didn't order battter I orderd chicken. The chicken was old and extremely dry. The Shanghai roll had no shrimp just cabbage. You should be ashamed for taking people money. Yummy House has better quality food. DON'T WASTE YOU MONEY HERE.

I tried this place for the first time,and I'm so disappointed 😞. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and I added house friend rice. It came out to be 15$???? I try to give places a chance. Never again. My food was ready in 5 mins?! How? I opened my box to find burnt chicken and house rice what.... there was mystery meat in the meal. They threw some cold green beans in and looked like someone was breaking pieces of something pink!!!!!!!?!?!??!?! I'm not sure but ill never recommend this place.

NO STARS!!! Had to choose 1 star in order to post!! Placed order for Sesame Chicken and was told it would be ready in a half hour. Arrived 30 mins after placing the order. Waited almost 20 mins. There were 10 other people waiting for their food. The woman at the register appeared confused with all the orders and seem to be having trouble ringing up orders. My order was nowhere to be found. Poor service to say the least. Very disappointed. Left and will not return.

I brought it to her attention that the sign posted on her door says they serve until 10pm. She realized I caught her in a lie, became more irritated and rude and still refused to serve me. Evidently she wanted to go home early. I will never go back to this establishment. If you’re open until 10, then you serve until 10, unless noted on the sign.
