Mee Thai Restaurant

Mee Thai is one of my favorite restaurants in the area! I love dining in with family or taking food to go. Their green curry with chicken is sooo good.

I’ve had Mee Thai marked on my “to try” map for a few years now and finally went today. I’m sorry, Dalis Lao Thai Cafe, but now you’re my 2nd favorite Panang curry. My only complaint was that their AC wasn’t working. That’s it. And they do a crazy amount of takeout so it’s moot, I could just take it to go. We wanted to try a bit of everything (plus leftovers, yay) and got most of our usual favorites to judge by. We started with the appetizer sampler with fresh (summer) rolls, my favorite hot weather snack. Theirs were good, wrappers broke but still good filing ratio and tender shrimp. The peanut sauce was ok, Viet-Nomz is still the king of summer rolls and peanut sauce in my book. The fried spring rolls and cheese rolls (think crab Rangoon as a spring roll) we’re excellently filled and seasoned, fried so crispy. The fried tofu was done well and soaked up all that lovely sweet and sour fish sauce. Coconut shrimp were good, crispy outside but not dry inside. The Tom kha was outstanding with a deep flavor to the broth that wasn’t too strongly coconut, lime, sweet, or fish sauce. The chunks of chicken and veggies were more reasonably sized than a lot of places. Then came the mains. Panang chicken with a savory sauce bordering a bit heavier on the peanut which is absolute perfection in my book. They take their spice levels seriously so if you’re a borderline hot/medium like I am go for medium. The veggies were tender (and yay zucchini! I love zucchini and don’t often see it in curries) and the meat both tender and plentiful while still having enough delicious curry sauce to soak into your rice. Dad had the basil stir fry which was the same quality ingredients with a different symphony of flavors. Service was attentive, portions were generous, and I’d even go back sans AC again!

2025 STILL BEST THAI IN ORLANDO! Came here for the first time in 2019 based on reviews and we were not let down! Decided on the Red Curry Crispy Duck and the Triple Salmon, both served with a generous amount of Jasmine rice and they were both delicious! Definitely our new favorite Thai place in Orlando, FL!

I’ve been coming to this place for over 3 months now and everytime the food is consistently amazing!!! I really love trying Thai food places and this is one of my favorites. Prices are fair, service is great, and the food is soooo good!!! My favorites are the Panang Curry, Pad Se Ew Noodles and Drunken Noodle!!!!!

Authentic flavors, clean dining. This restaurant has some of the most authentic Thai flavors I have had at a US location. They do great Thai iced coffee and the look is very clean. If I close my eyes and eat, I could very well be in Thailand. It's that good!

Great spot for casual but authentic and fresh Thai. Their menu supports a wide variety of items and more salads than many others. We have not had a dish we didn't like. Just like the picture; the currys are bright and consistent. Its not my favorite satay but that's no-loss with a menu offering 40-50 items. I highly suggest anything they offer as a special. The style is always unique; makes you wish the item was on the menyu all the time. The staff is always pleasant and strives to make your experience one of quality and warmth.

Mee Thai Restaurant is an absolute gem in Orlando! The food is nothing short of delicious, with authentic flavors that truly satisfy the palate. The diner itself is incredibly charming, full of character that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. The service was top-notch; our waiter was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Plus, the prices are fantastic for the quality of food and service you receive. This place has definitely won us over—we’ll be back for sure!

Food was great! Very kind owners and good sized menu. I got the Basil Tilapia and I really liked it. Not many other Thai restaurants have fish on their menu (usually it's just shrimp only if you're looking for seafood) so I really appreciated the fish menu.

We finally found our go to Thai place! The food is great, priced really well, and the service was outstanding. My husband got one of their specialty smoothies and they used ripe fresh mangoes to make it. DELICIOUS.

I love this place so much! I always order online and everything comes out perfect. Their sticky rice with mango is hands down the best and the portion is incredible! The cheese rolls, pad Thai, Thai tea and green curry are also delicious and the prices are unbeatable! It’s safe to say I will continue to order from Mee Thai!

Everytime I want to eat Thai Food, this is the PLACE 200% RECOMMENDED. I just ordered to go and it tastes fresh, authentic Thai, and the people there are very nice. It is not the first time eating here, I have been a customer for 2 years and it is my first time making a review. This is and Orlando gem. Foodies welcome !!!

I had ordered the wrong item from their online menu and the restaurant graciously let me return the food item I ordered and swapped it out for the food item I actually meant to order which they don't usually do. Their customer service was amazing and the food here is the best Thai food in town. If you are nearby you should definitely come try it. Its worth it! Thank you so much Mee Thai!!!

When my friend and I were searching online for a great Thai spot in Orlando, Mee Thai popped up with glowing reviews and a tempting menu. We figured—why not give it a shot? It took us nearly an hour and fifteen minutes to get there, but wow, was it worth the drive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. Nee, the hostess—who also happens to be the owner—was absolutely amazing. So kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We even exchanged a few words with her and complimented the incredible dishes—she was clearly passionate about her food, and it showed. Her energy alone deserves a five-star rating. We kicked things off with the Fresh Rolls and Egg Rolls—both were delicious, but the Fresh Rolls especially stood out: beautifully wrapped, super fresh, and packed with flavor. For our mains, we went with the Drunken Noodles and the Tom Kha soup. Let me tell you—these dishes were amazing. The Drunken Noodles were hearty and satisfying, with just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting without overwhelming the palate. And the Tom Kha? Absolutely divine. The rich coconut broth was infused with the perfect balance of lemongrass and kaffir lime, creating an aromatic, comforting bowl that was impossible to put down. We had it with chicken, and it was cooked to perfection. All in all, this place delivered on every level—flavor, hospitality, and atmosphere. If you're craving authentic Thai—Mee Thai is a must-visit!

This place was amazing during our visit to Orlando! The service was honestly a 15/10, the staff was so kind, accommodating and helpful for first timers choosing a dish. Reina was a 10/10 server and made our time here so memorable. We are still talking about the salads they gave us before the meal…the dressing was delicious. The food itself was also very good! My friends really enjoyed the curries, I enjoyed the fried rice and the portion size was huge. The thai basil was a bit too watery for my liking, but still nice to eat. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting or living in Orlando.

Wonderful Thai flavors and service found here. Ordered the red curry with tofu. Fresh tasty salad was brought out right away. Next the red curry with rice. Curry was piping hot. One taste and I was in heaven. Flavors were amazing. Service was excellent. Inside the decor was of a typical Thai restaurant but clean and tidy. I very much enjoyed dining here and highly recommend the experience for all that enjoy Thai cuisine.

Very authentic and traditional Thai food. Ambience reminded me of my mother; the restaurant was an homage to Thailand. Delicious! I often judge a Thai restaurant by their ability to serve fresh Thai chili peppers and Mee Thai did not disappoint! Food was as spicy as requested and full of flavor. Definitely recommend and am happy to return soon.

This is my third time coming in and I absolutely love it. Recently moved here from Texas and was looking for the perfect Thai place that was hopefully just as good as the one back home. But this one ended up being way better. My go to is the Panang curry with chicken a side order of cheese rolls and a sweet tea and it is soooo good every time and the two lady’s that take care of me everytime I come in are the sweetest. They’re so sweet and helpful and just soo welcoming. I highly recommend

The chicken Naam Sod is out of this world. Addicting. I've eaten here easily a dozen times and have never had less than a great meal. The service is always wonderful, and you can not beat the quality and freshness of the ingredients they use. These people care about putting out quality food.

Mee Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant around. The service by Alice is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. We have had the pad Thai, curries, and steam fried dishes and all are so yummy. The egg rolls are amazing and they bring you a salad for free with your meal. Enjoy this treasured gem!

I've been twice and will definitely come back. Some of the best Thai food in town. So far I've had curry duck and curry snapper and both were incredible. Very friendly and attentive service.

Everything was so good!! 😋 The staff was super friendly and attentive. 😃 I don't know if it was the owner talking to someone on the phone when we walked in but she seemed maybe upset about something because the conversation was super loud. 🥴 That was the only down side. It just did not seem professional. Tbh it was a bit distracting to focus on menu. Being the first time I've ever tried Thai food. 🍲

Came here for lunch and was very satisfied! Ordered the Thai iced tea, chicken satay, and the yum crispy duck salad. All the food was delicious, the only thing I did not like was being served hard clumpy rice in a ziploc bag.

The food here is delicious! I got the soup, and only gave it four starts because I wished it was a little bit more spicy. I would try something different next but I’ll definitely be back! Service was great and quick even during the lunch rush.

I went to Mee Thai for dinner today and unfortunately ended up with a bad stomach ache afterward. I checked their food inspection and saw they got a D rating which makes sense now. 😭😭😭 The older waitress was very kind and attentive but the younger one had quite an attitude. No greeting just “what you wanna order.” Really disappointed with the experience overall especially considering how the food made me feel. I hope they improve both their food safety and service.

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. I was a loyal customer until yesterday, March 30th 2024. I not only found a hair and a tiny roach, but my PREGNANT coworker that ordered the same curry found 2 more cockroaches. This was a group order of a total of 6 Massaman curry. Please be aware of this sanitary issue, that unfortunately after that happened to us, I found out that it is not the first time, nor has this big issue been resolved!!!!!

In addition, the pineapple fried rice and mango fried rice were both burnt, as was the rice that came with the green curry. Because of the quality and food safety concerns, we ended up throwing the food away, so $90 completely down the drain. We’ve been loyal customers for the past 4 years, but this experience was unacceptable. Unfortunately, we won’t be ordering from here again.
