This place is one of the few great pizza, places and restaurants altogether in Lake Nona. Lake Nona is greatly lacking on good food, but this place is top-tier food. The pizza taste amazing and it reminds me of the type of pizza that you truly find in Italy. Eating the pizza and bread doesn’t leave you feeling bloated. The service is spot on. Everyone is super nice and very welcoming. MUST TRY!
Wonderful experience. Food was so good forgot to take pictures. The garlic bread is pizza crust with visible garlic on it, baked to perfection with sauce on the side. The muscles in sauce were also very tasty and delicious I just wish the portions were larger. The salads are monstrous but delicious. The manicotti tasted delicious. Only criticism is when it comes straight out the oven it’s a bit watery and so hot the pasta is hard to eat. Overall filling was delicious and once it cools it’s the perfect consistency and very creamy. My best friend described the baked ziti as the best pasta she has ever had. Perfectly cooked and so flavorful. Overall definitely recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for delicious Italian food.
Piazza Italia is simply amazing! We just got back from Italy and we were craving some authentic Italian food. We thought we would give Piazza Italia a try on Mother’s day. We are so happy we did. From the minute we walked in we were greeted in Italian by Fabio. His very authentic and out going Italian personality made us feel like we were still in Italy. They sat us at a cozy little corner table for two. Our waiters, Michaele & Davide, were awesome! They provided excellent recommendations and their service was spot on. Fabio periodically stopped by to check on us. We enjoyed chatting with Fabio. For starters we had the Burrata Mediterranea. The homemade fresh mozzarella was to die for! I will order this every time we visit. We also ordered clams in a garlic, wine, butter sauce. The clams were fresh and it was served with fresh warm bread for dipping. It was incredibly delicious! For entrees I had the chicken marsala with pasta, and hubby had the fettuccine alla bolognese. Our entrees were fantastic too! For dessert we ordered Sorbetto al limone, and tartufo al cioccolato. Both were light and amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and dining in this very authentic and cozy Italian restaurant. After our meal we were not ready to leave. We were enjoying ourselves so much. It felt like we were in an Italian home enjoying our meal with the family. We stayed for awhile after our meal and enjoyed a glass of wine. In true Italian fashion we decided to order a light appetizer. We ordered one of the daily specials of prosciutto, melon, cherry tomatoes, etc. It was to die for! Nice presentation as well. Overall we had excellent food & service in the cozy authentic Italian establishment. This restaurant is fit for us foodies and our foodie friends. We will be back! Thank you Fabio, Michaele & Davide for a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Went in for a early Mother's day celebration. Michael was our server, off the chart. This is a totally original restaurant. We had the Margherita pizza, the sauce was totally smooth tasting with big pieces of cheese, the dough was very thin and cooked in a wood fire oven. The Bolognese was delicious, huge servings. Had a ton meat with their great sauce. Also there was great Italian bread cooked in the oven with olive oil. I could definitely eat a loaf of it. The word is definitely out that this is real authentic Italian food. They do take reservations.
Delicious! Not to be missed if you are in Lake Nona. We’ve been eating here for years and have never had a bad meal.
It looked like a Pizza joint by the name, but its a very quaint and very friendly and attentive Staff, i had the Veal with pasta, it was very good. Also i had the Pasta Fagiol soup, it had vegetables it tasted like minestrone instead. Overall its very family style and portions are very good. Will be back!!
What a fantastic, authentic Italian restaurant. I felt like I am back in Napoli with the great pizza , pasta and atmosphere. Thank you to the owner and the team!
I really liked this place. It is a very quiet environment, the service is excellent and fast. The pasta was tasty, without fear of making a mistake, it’s the best pasta alla carbonara I’ve ever eaten. It’s an explosion of flavors in the mouth! The tiramisu was soft and had a rich flavor. This is a restaurant that would come back over and over again. Recommended 💯
Eccezionale! I just got back from having dinner at Piazza Italia for the first time since my fellow Italian friends kept talking highly about it. They make the best, most authentic pizza in Central Florida! I've tried many places since I've been living in Orlando and I'll definitely return here. Jennifer was great in serving us! And really appreciated that Emilio stopped talking to have a chiacchierata with us! UPDATE: I now go often to Piazza Italia and it has become one of my fav places to eat. I tried many different pizzas and they are one better than the other. My favorite is the one with prosciutto and arugula, I do have it done with tomato sauce, not bianca. They do have a good selection of wines, prosecco, and Spritz Aperol. The Sorbetto is just as authentic as anything else, big portion.
Came in for a late lunch and was very happy l did. I got the margherita pizza and a glass of Chianti. The waitress brought out a glass of water, some dipping bread and my glass of wine in a timely manner. The wine was decent and the bread was delicious. Then came my pizza shortly. It was some of the best pizza I’ve had in the greater Orlando region. Actually light, thin with wonderful flavors. I definitely can see myself returning.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Piazza Italia, a charming Italian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that hinted at the culinary delights to come. The meal began with garlic bread for an appetizer, and it was simply divine. The bread was perfectly toasted, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. Each slice was generously slathered with a rich, buttery garlic spread that was perfectly seasoned, making every bite a flavorful delight. For the entrée, I opted for the penne alla vodka, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The penne was cooked to perfection, maintaining that ideal al dente texture. The vodka sauce was the star of the dish—creamy and rich with just the right balance of tan and a subtle hint of vodka. this is the place to go. Buon appetito!
I'm a Brazilian who loves Italian food and I've been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant forever. After years with some disappointment, heard about Piazza Italia this week and went straight to try. I'm absolutely amazed. The food made me feel like I was back in Napoli. The taste is just wonderful and the atmosphere is so Italian. Hands down the best Italian food I've had outside Italy. I will be back many times and take my family and friend to eat there every time.
This place was simply amazing. We were looking for artisan/Neapolitan pizza and Piazza Italia caught our eye. Our waitress was super polite and attentive, and it felt like a we were at a remodeled restaurant in Italy with grandma cooking in the back. We ordered the Gnocchi and Norcina pizza. The pizza was fantastic. Crust was crispy but chewy, fresh toppings, and great taste. I’m not a big pasta person, but the gnocchi was soft but still had a bite, with a good pasta sauce and cheese. I will absolutely go back here.
This was recommended to me by a coworker and it did not disappoint. The moment you walk in the atmosphere is lovely. Wanted pizza as I was told it is amazing but got the pollo marsala and it was delicious. The service was great and I swear it only took 15 minutes for the food to come to the table after ordering. The girlfriend got the cacio e pepe and added grilled chicken and that too was delicious and the perfect temp. Highly recomend the tiramisu! While there a gentleman in the kitchen started to sing in Italian and it just added to the amazing atmosphere of the restaurant. They do get busy and when we went they asked if we had a reservation but still take walk in. Going back to try the pizzas. Great spot to eat at!
Stopped in for a personal all-meat pizza and was pleasantly surprised. The crust was light, airy, and had the perfect crunch—clearly baked in a stone oven, which gave it that authentic feel. The cheese had a unique flavor—almost slightly sweet, not overly sharp, and really balanced out the saltiness of the meats, which were fresh and generously portioned. It only took about 10 minutes to get my pizza, and I paired it with a cold Coke (no Pepsi here). Total came out to about $30 incl. tip. All in all, solid spot. Great vibe, fast service, and quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend.
Rigatoni and Margarita Pizza was Delicious!!! Authentic Italian restaurant. The pasta portion was not big but it was very flavorful. Definitely will be coming back to try other dishes
Great experience.. server was great .. great attention to details . Food came out fast and fresh ... Everyone looked like they played well as a team ... Pizza was delicious penne was great and cutlets pasta was soft n tasteful... Wine was good .. music was good not too loud not to low ... Clean and friendly lit environment... Little pricey but was delicious...
Being Italian, I know when pizza has high standards and this place exceeded mine! As authentic as it gets, their pizza is the perfect balance of crispiness on the crust with flavorful, fresh ingredients. In spite of the size, their pizza is deliciously light - i could have had another one! Wholesome ingredients, wood burning oven and top mastery at the art of making the “real thing”! To top it off, we could not say no to the dessert: zeppole! It is the season and Neapolitans know a thing or two about desserts! So, just trust your instincts and eat to your heart content! Will be back for sure! What a great find!
Five-star delivery experience from Piazza Italia in Lake Nona, Florida! Despite being delivered, the food arrived promptly and still piping hot, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness. The chicken parmigiana and lasagna were packaged with care, preserving their flavors and textures perfectly. Every bite transported us to Italian culinary heaven, with authentic flavors and generous portions. It's evident that Piazza Italia takes great pride in ensuring their delivery service meets the same high standards as their in-house dining experience. If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine delivered straight to your door, look no further than Piazza Italia. Grazie for bringing a taste of Italy to our doorstep!
JULIET’S. Eight years ago, we embarked on an extraordinary journey at Piazza Italia, launching our ladies luncheon group, and today we returned to bask in the warmth of Enrica and company’s exceptional hospitality. The cuisine was exquisite! And the company, truly fabulous. Moreover, we were treated to Emilio’s enchanting serenade. A truly unforgettable experience, cherished by all.
Authentic Napolitano pizza!!! Bravo!!! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Family owned is best!!! 10/10 ❤️❤️
Until today, we have never found an Italian restaurant that reminds my husband of home until today. You know you are in a true authentic Italian restaurant when you walk in and all the employees are speaking Italian in kitchen. The Gnocchi alla Sorrentina reminded him of his grandma's cooking. He savored every bite and I've never seen him eat so slow, enjoying every bite. My Tartufata pizza.... AMAZING!! Our daughters Penne alla Vodka was a true authentic dish and the unlimited bread was great. This restaurant has earned customers for life and we cannot wait to share it with friends and family.
Easy to get in. The food was excellent, I preferred a little more hot, but was ok. Everything taste fresh, the bread, the pasta, even the desert. I recommend this place.
A friend of mine from Italy recommended this place for the most authentic Italian style pizza and food that he's found in the area. While I haven't been to Italy yet to compare, I can say the food here was amazing. Everyone working in the restaurant is Italian. My grandparents were 100% Italian and my favorite dish is gnocchi. I'm skeptical of ordering it because it's usually a letdown compared to my grandmother's made from scratch gnocchi with meat sauce. The gnocchi here was the closest I've had to my grandmother's recipe. If the sauce would've had meat in it and no melted mozzarella, I think it would be exactly the same. 10 out of 10 recommend and will be back to try other items on the menu!
Gustoso! I have ate at this place a few times now and can safely say it is a very solid option for those craving a reliably authentic Italian experience. Ingredients are of good quality and the staff are ALWAYS top notch; I can't state this strongly enough in all the times we have dined here. Outdoor seating is also available on days you are craving a breeze. Their Brushcetta is actually one of my favorite sides and I usually lean towards their pasta as a main but have also indulged in their pizza if I'm craving authentic toppings. Parking can be a pain sometimes depending on the time but this is not a complaint but more of a recommendation to try this place at non-busy times. Thanks Piazza Italia!
So close to my house and yet never been until now! A friend of mine suggested it and I am so glad we came. Close to Nona blue and right next to Menchie's. Place is cute! Was seated right away and our waitress Juliana and was so sweet. Everyone in there seems to be from Italy! I love that they were singing and talking to each other in Italian. I got a glass of Chianti, price was very reasonable ($9) and it was really good. We started with the pear Gorgonzola salad, it was refreshing and so good. For entree we ordered the classic margarita pizza (delicious also), and the lobster and shrimp ravioli, oh my god, these are so good. For dessert we shared the profiterole, also amazing! Overall what an amazing dinner, great food and service.
If you want to try authentic Italian pizza, you need to come here! And they have much more to offer than just pizza. Amazing and kind staff and beautiful location. Grazie!
So italian people (and not only) in Orlando, listen carefully: BEST ITALIAN PIZZA in town! The crust, the flavor, the texture, everything was perfect! I finished my pizza in less than 4 minutes and I’m Italian and well know how a pizza should be. Great pizza and nice people. Do not hesitate to go there and enjoy a taste of Italy!

Needed a quick bite so shared a stromboli and glass of red wine with my husband. Loved the Italian hospitality, food and music. Will definitely return.

I love this place! Pizza is delicious! And the owner is very warm and kind. I went with my 8-month-old baby who didn’t really let me eat my pizza, so she came and held her like a true grandmother — it was so lovely! Thank you so much!
This stoning restaurant was a hidden gem! My wife and I, along with our two kids, had an amazing time. The wooden pizza was a real treat, not some fast food pizza. The staff was super attentive and made us feel right at home. If you’re in the mood for an authentic Italian restaurant, this is definitely a place you should check out. Five stars from us!

Great place owned by a family from Italy. I felt like I was sitting in a restaurant back overseas. The pizza I had and my friend had was a little bland, but everything else was great! The lemon sorbet came in a frozen carved out lemon. It was fantastic! I recommend the espresso as a finisher. I will come back
Rather enjoyable Italian Style (not to be confused with Italian American) Pizza and Pasta. Only issues were a bit of a wait despite ordering ahead due to "app issues" causing them to not see the order and I wasn't particularly wowed by the Penne Arrabiata, but the Margherita pizza and Spaghetti and Meatballs were wonderful. The Calamari was not the best I've eaten, but decent and came with a beautiful marinara sauce that makes it worth ordering. I would definitely return as it is one of the better spots I've found in the area to eat.
Food was nice, staff very friendly, it was sort of pet friendly despite is not specified, but the staff was very nice about us brining in our small dog, the place is pretty and the food was nice, some portions were a bit small to my taste but is my personal opinion, I ended up eating two mains because of that
I attended a very nice event here, for a friend's birthday party. They are known for their Italian oven and the first appetizers were garlic cheese flat breads served with marinara, charred nicely and oozing garlicky goodness. The following antipasta plates featured Italian meats, cheeses, peppers, olives and roasted Eggplant which made for excellent toppings. I ordered a special burrata pizza with prosciutto, basil, truffle & mushroom. It was delicious, well charred, but the moisture from the burrata did make the center of the pizza soggy. I would note that 2 days in the cardboard take home box dried out the remaining pizza perfectly. The Spaghetti Carbonara was served just how I like it (no peas, plenty of pancetta) and it was enjoyed. Oddly, as we were leaving the staff had multiple pizzas from a chain restaurant delivered, making me wonder about management policies. The owner just shrugged when I questioned this. The staff was not attentive, mostly looking like they wanted to be somewhere else, and we were the only large party on a slow Thursday night. They have a solid wine list and plenty of entree choices, Taste **** Quality/Freshness **** Presentation/Uniqueness **** Service ** Atmosphere *** Bar *** Cleanliness **** Value ***
Serious italian. Food was a bit off but way ahead of cheap pizza joints. A bit too much oil in the veal mushroom sauce, soybean oil for bread, veal is challenging to make tender.

I remember when this place was great. That was years ago. Ate there tonight for the first time in a while. Server arguing with the manager. And 50 for an overcooked bad cut of steak (medium rare came out medium well) and $30 for 5 ravioli. Skip it and get your moneys worth somewhere else.
I tried to hold back on a bad review but it’s overdue. I kept forgiving the food quality issues and I feel like after spending $75 on a pickup order tonight, it should have been a 3rd of the price. Chicken picatta was very very acidic. It came with the thinnest medium sized piece of chicken too. I was looking at the food that was $18 and thought it should have been less than 10. The eggplant parm lacked any Parmesan. The kids meatball spaghetti was $13 per bowl and came with one meatball. The order came with 3 slices of baguette bread which could not be eaten due to its toughness and staleness. So that was today. About a year ago I ordered a $30 pizza which came with the toughest dough I’d ever eaten. To be fair, I tried the pizza again thereafter and it wasn’t too bad. Overall, I think the place lacks quality, consistency, and is overpriced. I’ll hit Giovanni’s or Blaze pizza in the future … it’s not worth my money at all.
I never thought I would be arguing with the chef for a hair on my food, it happens to even the best but what you do as a restaurant afterwards is what counts, not yell at your clientele and at the end not to do the food from scratch, just take out the piece of hair and reheat my food that took you 15 min to make to come out in 2. The worst is that they charged me all the value, and didn't offer apologies for the event that happened. I doubt I'll come back again.
Ordered a Tartufata pizza and Pollo Marsala. My chicken was great initially but, when my wife saw a hair on the pizza, she let the server know, the server then took it to whoever is in charge and they said looking at my wife "it's not a hair, it's a mushroom hair". Excuse me? Since when do mushrooms grow hairs? If they do, I must apologize since I'm not knowledgeable. A pizza that initially took them 10 minutes yo bring to the table, only took them 5 minutes to refire? The math isn't mathing. They literally took the hair our, reheated the pizza and brought it back out. That's not good customer service. I don't expect the world out of them, but to tell the customer that they're wrong and that we can't tell the difference between a "mushroom hair" and real hair? Nope, definitely not coming back. Our disappointment is immeasurable and our night was ruined.
