I've been to Ristorante Lago delle Rose several times. It's a charming location in Ornavasso, in the province of Verbania, Piedmont. Surrounded by nature, it offers a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a relaxing experience. Enchanting location: The restaurant directly overlooks Lago delle Rose, offering panoramic views and the option of dining al fresco by the lake during the warmer months. It has a large indoor dining room seating approximately 160 people, with an additional 40 seats outside. Traditional Italian cuisine: The restaurant offers cuisine inspired by local traditions, with a focus on quality ingredients. It offers homemade first courses such as fresh pasta, ravioli, and gnocchi, and high-quality meat-based main courses, including ribs, T-bone steaks, tagliata, and mixed grills prepared on a large outdoor grill. It also offers excellent fish dishes. Ideal for events and families: The location is suitable for groups, events, weddings, and banquets. It features green spaces and a pond where you can fish or simply relax. It's also an ideal place for families with children, thanks to the outdoor spaces and the proximity of a farm and a Celtic encampment. Child seats are available. Services offered: The restaurant offers table service, a bar, a buffet, and takeout. It is accessible to people with disabilities and offers free internet. On this last visit, we tasted a true specialty: Riscion trout, artisanally smoked and served with fuscnète, breadcrumbs fried in butter. An ancient dish revived from the memory of the Walser civilization, followed by an excellent grilled trout accompanied by excellent baked potatoes. This was followed by a bunet (a type of pasta) and a white truffle. I tasted the Primogenito wine from the Pilandro wine selection. This Lugana DOC wine is born with the first bottling of each vintage. It enjoys excellent linearity and a youthfulness that lasts all year round. Vineyard located at 60-80 meters above sea level, with a south-southeast exposure in clayey, chalky soil, in the southern part of Lake Garda, in Desenzano del Garda. Gentle mechanical harvesting fully respects the integrity of the grapes, with rapid delivery to the cellar from mid- to late September. Bottling in mid-January, followed by spring bottle aging. Vinification: gentle pressing, respectful of the grapes in an inert atmosphere. Fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 18°C. The only small flaw was that they didn't bring an ice bucket or a wine cooler to keep the white wine at the right temperature, but fortunately the bottle was served at the perfect temperature. Excellent restaurant, prices reasonable for the quality of the products offered, friendly staff, always worth returning to, thank you!

Very good, tasty, and delicious home cooking. Very good meat. Professional, friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. The atmosphere is spacious, very welcoming, and relaxing, surrounded by nature, overlooking a pond where you can admire the woods, mountains, and animals from the large windows. Very relaxing. A tonic for the mind and the stomach. Well done!

We were there on August 6th for the Facciamo rumore concerts in memory of Gio. The outdoor space is stunning, with a beautiful setting enhanced by the lake. The festival was well-organized, and the restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. Worth a visit even on a regular Sunday.

This gem is easy to miss. Don't let the small sign and obscure gravel drive fool you. The setting is lovely with a view of the fishing pond and the mountains. The wine and food were simple and delicious. Very reasonably priced. The people were very warm and friendly. It was an unforgettable experience for our group of six. Thank you!
