Had excellent pizza and drinks here. Well priced and everything was great. My only complaint is they have cover charge which is common in Orta. Edit: went a second time and it was still great.

Don't be fooled by the inconspicuous entrance to the restaurant. It's big inside with a very nice staff. We ate the pizza only and it was really great. Thin cake but suitably firm which did not spread. Large selection of hot and cold drinks. Dog friendly. Highly recommended!!!

The intimate, candlelit, covered area outside the restaurant attracted us as we headed past it for a stroll along the shores of Lake Orta. The skies were wonderfully dramatic as we walked alongside grand villas, beautiful gardens and lush vegetation, with the beauty of the lake to our right. The heavens opened and huge raindrops pounded down amid rolls of thunder and bright spears of lightning. We sheltered at a leafy lakeside seat until the storm subsided somewhat and headed back to La Campagna. We preferred to sit outside undercover, despite the continuing wild weather, and were cheerfully served by kind waiters who had to dodge the raindrops to bring us our meals from inside the restaurant, some feet away. It was a lovely place to dine and the food was delicious, plentiful and inexpensive, all in all excellent value. We were also welcomed in when we went to pay and offered limoncellos on the house, a tradition that, in my experience, rarely happens these days.

We were looking for a traditional Italian restaurant and I think we found it here. At least we found good Italian Pizza here, we can’t judge the other meals that are offered. The location is nice in a quiet side street and the waitresses were very friendly to us. The only thing I could criticize is that the artichokes were persumably cheap pickled. Staying in Orta and stumbled on this gem! Menu was very extensive and loads of choices. Pizzas were amazing and went back for a second visit and it was closed and we were devastated

Un ristorante/pizzeria a pochi passi dal centro di Orta, dove poter mangiare a buon prezzo. La pizza è buona, forse da far lievitare un pochino di più in quanto ci è venuta molta sete durante digestione. Per un pasto rapido e tranquillo è un luogo consigliato. Unica pecca è che non mi è sembrato che vengano cambiate le tovaglie tra un tavolo e l'altro. Molto simpatica l'idea di fare la pizza a forme di cuore per San Valentino!

Sorprendentemente economico, considerata la location, due passi dalla piazza principale di Orta. Il personale cordiale e disponibile, rapido nel servire. Il menù vede sia piatti di cucina che pizze. Queste ultime hanno un range di prezzo che va dagli 8 ai 10€, davvero a buon prezzo. Coperto 2€. La qualità delle pizze è valida, buona la farcitura. Pasta croccante, nella norma, niente di superlativo. Consigliato. Spero che un giorno riescano a mettere in pari i tavoli esterni che sono in pendenza da vent’anni.

Nel cuore di Orta questa ottima pizzeria si presenta con un ampio dehors sulla via. Forno a legna. Servizio rapido ed efficiente. Pizza sottile realizzata con ingredienti di qualità. Ottimi anche i primi ed i dessert. Consigliato!!!

Abbiamo pranzato con una buona pizza. Ottimo rapporto qualita/prezzo.Posto molto carino, sia all'interno che fuori. Proprietari molto gentili e pronti a gestire il maltempo arrivato al momento caffè. Torneremo sicuramente.

Let’s first start by saying that Orta is a beautiful town to visit - I found it particularly mysterious by night. La Campana is a nice cozy local restaurant with interesting variety of plates to choose from. The pizzas are quite well served and the staff is welcoming. You can choose to sit outside (not good option when winter) or inside (cave-like ambiance).

Good food, calamarind lasagna and had no pizza !! Though we were initially attracted by the sign "Forno ...." , wood fired oven. Finished with a strong Cafe Correta, with a shot of grappa. Old couple manging with the old man being grumpy as if business was bad. Noticed this in many business and restaurants wheret the boss, chef walks around as if he dislikes his work and staff. Wish I had the right Italian words to reprimand them for their apparent ungratefulness and comp!aining nature.

Ambiente carino, purtroppo abbiamo sentito un cameriere pronunciare frasi davvero volgari e oscene. Non sembra quindi un posto rispettabile. Il cibo è discreto. La birra piccola è servita in un bicchiere piccolo, nel mio caso con troppa schiuma. Non sono soddisfatto. Mi spiace per la signora alla cassa che invece è stata molto cortesia. Già da quando siamo arrivati il cameriere non era tanto contento per il nostro arrivo... Le pizze di bassa qualità... I prezzi abbastanza buoni per un posto del genere Abbiamo pagato il coperchio di 2€ per una bambina di 2 anni ché non ha consumato niente 🤣 Mai più.. Grazie P.s. imparate a essere un po' più gentili con i clienti 😉

Food was mediocre at best, the tuna tastes like canned stuff you’ll find in every cheap super market. The worst is how they treat customers. They didn’t let us sit outside because we didn’t come as presentable as they’d like. Also, they kept rushing us to eat and go as quick as possible. The waiter even took my plate while I had the last slice in hand. Worst behavior you could possibly show to customers who are just looking for some food. Never again!

After a too long hiatus from Italy our first Pizza and Caprese salad for a few year's. Caprese salad was 1 tasteless tomato cut into 5 slices and 5 slices of below average mozzarella, not seasoned and €10, don't bother. Had the house pizza. What a disappointment, poor dough and poor quality toppings. I've had better frozen pizza at kids parties. It was busy, good luck to them, tourist trap but don't bother if you are looking for quality food.

Se passate da Orta San Giulio sconsiglio di fermarvi a pranzo in questo posto. Per due pizze il tempo di attesa è stato di un’ora e mezza (la sala era mezza vuota, non oso immaginare quanto ci sia da aspettare in caso di pienone). Servizio pessimo, il cameriere si era dimenticato di portarci le bevande e lo abbiamo dovuto sollecitare più volte. Infine, tutte le volte che aprivano le porte della cucina si sentivano le discussioni tra lo chef ed i camerieri.

Visited twice... first time we ordered two dishes (a pasta and a pizza) and my partners dish arrived 30 mins before the pizza - they completely messed up the simplest order. The waiter was extremely apologetic and the pizza was actually good..... so good we decided to give this restuarant another try 2 nighs later. What an awful experience - a different surly waiter sat us on the same table as another family (the place was less than 20% full with plenty of spare tables) - then proceeded to take orders from two other tables who arrived after we did. After 10 mins waiting to even order drinks and water, we left without ordering. Nice food let down by poor staff. A shame for the owner and very disappointing.
