I ordered the set menu on Saturday, December 13th, and it was excellent; I was very happy. The fabada (Asturian bean stew) as a starter was delicious, and the pitu de caleya (free-range chicken) as a main course was fantastic. For dessert, I had yogurt with honey, which was also good. The service from the waiters was impeccable, and the restaurant's decor was very cool. We were lucky that we went straight in to eat as soon as we arrived; after a while, there was a bit of a wait for those who were arriving, which is normal for a shopping center on a Saturday at lunchtime. I recommend it.
I was visiting Asturias and had some breaded chicken breasts with aioli (fried, with chips and aioli) that were delicious. The portion size is very generous, and the price is excellent for what you get. You pay for what you eat, really great. The place was packed, but the service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly organized, the food arrived quickly, and they were very friendly. I was very happy with my meal. I would definitely go back.
The only drawback I could find is that they might add a third option for main courses... or remove the hamburger option, which is already available at the adjacent restaurants... Very good desserts. Otherwise, everything was very good. Excellent preparation, very fast, clean, and accurate service. We will definitely return.
The restaurant is very lively. Precisely because it's in a shopping center with many options, it's always packed, and the waiters are constantly moving around. Despite this, the service was friendly. To drink, we tried their cider sangria. We ate wild boar chorizo, gratinéed spider crab pie, and black rice with squid and aioli. Everything was delicious; in fact, we ate so well that we couldn't even bring ourselves to order dessert. We had leftover rice, so we asked them to pack it up for us to take home, and we enjoyed it for dinner as well. I would definitely go back.
The place is quite nice. You should go there a little before lunchtime otherwise it gets really crowded. It's normal because it's well worth the price, especially the daily menu, which is delicious and filling for €20. The service is very quick and pleasant, and the restaurant's ambiance is like a very original mine.
A very good experience. A very cozy place with a mine-themed decor 💯 Very attentive staff. We had set menus and à la carte options too... Everything was delicious, from the Galician-style octopus platter with mashed potatoes, to the tasty black rice with squid and aioli, the chickpeas with prawns and mushrooms, the cod in miner's sauce, a good cider, and finishing with some exquisite desserts.... Don't miss it...
Hamburger meat is excellent
We had the weekend menu, which is almost €20. It doesn't include cider, but they offer it for a €2 supplement. The first course was rice with octopus, fabada (bean stew), crab pie, and salad. We had the rice and the fabada (bean stew). The rice was delicious, and with lots of octopus. The fabada (bean stew) was just right. The second course was meat and hake, and we both ordered hake with mushroom sauce, and honestly, it was also a good portion and very tasty. The weakest part was the desserts. You can choose between dessert or coffee. The food overall was very good. In my opinion, one point that could be improved: the temperature of the cider. It was too cold. They have an automatic cider dispenser, and it's from Villacubera. In short, the food was delicious, the service was good, the location was perfect, and they served us quickly. The price seemed reasonable. The surrounding restaurants had a lot of people queuing, and we walked in here without much enthusiasm, but it was a choice.
Well, the food was pretty disappointing, to be honest. Some things were good, others were bland, and none of it had any salt 😅 The sardines were terrible; they were frozen. You could tell they were frying them frozen because they were fried on the outside but raw on the inside. The nachos were actually quite good, and the criollo was also good. The sodas were very fake 😅. That said, the rice pudding was delicious 👌🏻 The service from the waiters was very good.
I'd never eaten here before, and just wanted to try it... I tried it. The minced meat, potato, and egg tortillas: I agree with what I've read: Super-greasy minced meat. But too much. What a night I've had. It's a mixture of Pria cheese (barely distinguishable from the amalgam of food, and red from the fat), two hard-boiled eggs, and three reheated tortillas (obviously due to the speed with which they brought it; this is prepared and heated all at once). Squid: "our way," as the menu says... well, that's it. Very saturated, and I was lucky enough to eat at the individual tables inside, which provide some privacy. But the ones outside... like a saturated McDonald's, I didn't like. The cider is very tasty, and yes, it's very cheap. A good try. To repeat, well no
In my opinion, the food has deteriorated considerably in the last few months. They used to have a gratinéed spider crab pie that they served hot and it was delicious, the best I've ever had. I went a few months ago and ordered it à la carte, and it was served cold and nothing like it used to be. Last week I had it from the set menu and it was the same: cold, tasteless, and with a strange sauce that wasn't there before. The chimichurri was quite sour, and I didn't like it either.
The place is cozy and decorated with mining motifs. Although it gets quite crowded, at least I didn't have to wait too long between courses. The staff is attentive. Each table has an electric cider dispenser, in case you want to order a bottle. The food is good, but nothing special. The meat on the cachopo strips I ordered left a lot to be desired; it was tough. The rest was fine. The cleanliness is okay. In short: it's a popular place, not bad.
We ordered the set menu. It was acceptable, but the attitude of one of the waiters (we assume he was the manager because he wasn't in uniform) left much to be desired. He recited the menu with a bored expression, rushed through the meal, and practically threw his cutlery and napkin down in a very rude manner. The rest of the staff, however, were quite pleasant and took turns with the courses. Going to a restaurant (at least for us) isn't just about the quality of the food, but about a whole host of details that make you feel comfortable. Otherwise, you consider cooking at home for a third of the price, and that's exactly the feeling we left with.
What a disappointment! We've eaten at La Mina in Parque Principado a million times, but today's situation is beyond words. We ordered the set menu, as always, but couldn't eat anything because the dishes were so salty. Every single dish (chickpeas, creamy rice, sea bream with potatoes, etc.) was returned to the kitchen uneaten because it was inedible. The waiter who served us acknowledged that there was indeed a problem with the salt, but he didn't offer us anything else, nor did he apologize. When it was time to pay, they charged us for the entire menu, without an apology, and even though they were aware that we hadn't eaten anything. Besides being repeat customers, we're older and don't want to make a fuss, so we didn't want to argue. We paid and left, but we certainly won't be back. Knowing that a table leaves without food due to a chef's error, charging for the entire meal is unforgivable. We can all make mistakes and one day the food may not turn out right, but quality service and a restaurant own up to their mistakes and take responsibility. Today we paid for not eating. A disgrace.
The frying pan was a greasy mess "they're lying when they say wild boar mince" the potatoes were messy and greasy... the mini tortillas were stiff, the corn flour was conspicuous by its absence... more like an arepa... and the grilled chicken was a pulled breast, burnt on the outside and raw on the inside... the cider was overpriced, not even in Madrid, and the service... they did their best... I paid €25 for the breast, a handful of packaged salad, and two ciders. The frying pan with wine and bread was €21... I hope they do well, but without us...
We used to go there once in a while, but with today’s dinner we won’t be going back. We ordered some squid and they literally put 14 of them at a price of 18.90. They were fried in burnt oil, that’s the next best thing, and on top of that, SUSPICIOUSLY they don’t seem to be squid (I know what I’m talking about). Each half-litre bottle of water costs 2 euros, and the tiny bread rolls cost 1.40… it’s clear that they are forcing people to stay at home to have dinner with these prices… 1.35 each squid ring… anyway.
