We had such a great experience at BJ’s Brewery in Oxnard! We ordered from their $13 Pazookie Meal options, and everything was spot on. Portions were perfectly sized and absolutely delicious! I tried the Italian Chicken Parmesan Pasta and the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl—both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. And of course, you can’t skip their famous Pazookie—it’s the sweet ending you dream about. Great value, fantastic flavors, and such a satisfying meal. We’ll definitely be ordering again!

She’s bubbly, honest, and goes out of her way to make every visit feel more like hanging out with a great friend than just grabbing a drink. Her recommendations are always on point, her timing is flawless, and she has a way of making you feel like the most important guest in the room even on a packed night. On top of that, Jojo’s a huge horror movie fan, which explains why she can keep the energy high even in the middle of chaos. Her laugh could cut through the silence of A Quiet Place, and even the monsters would stop to grab a drink just to hang with her. Whether she’s on top of your go-to order or surprising you with the perfect suggestion, Jojo is equal parts host, entertainer, and all-around awesome human being. She’s the reason to grab a seat at the bar at BJ’s.

Yesterday my mom and I had a late lunch! We were pleasantly surprised that we landed at the restaurant at happy hour time! Mom had a house cab that she liked. She is very picky. The atmosphere was chill and clean. The food was tasty although my baked potato was cold. I ate it anyway it was yummy. My steak was tender and the side salad super fresh although the best part was our server! Alex E made us feel so welcomed and at home. She was patient, friendly and waited on us attentively even as the restaurant staff was hustling about getting ready to accommodate a 70 person party. Alex E made our dining experience spectacular. I've been a loyal customer of BJ's in Oxnard since they opened in 2006, and they've never let me down—whether dining in or ordering curbside. The staff and management are always friendly, attentive, and professional. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and on the rare occasion there's a hiccup, they handle it with grace and urgency. Just yesterday, there was a small mix-up with our order, and Duane, the manager, went above and beyond to make it right. His excellent service reaffirmed why we keep coming back. My wife and I always leave happy—great meals, courteous service, and solid value every time.

I recently had an amazing dining experience at BJ's, and it was all thanks to our incredible waitress, Briana! From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Briana was attentive and knowledgeable, offering perfect menu recommendations that catered to our tastes. I've been coming here since I was little and I was introduced to their Pizookies. JoJo has since been serving me and my friends well. It continues to be a place, at the forefront of my mind when I can't think of anywhere else, to dine out. Their fare is good for what it's worth. The Chicken Alfredo is a go-to for whenever I gain a $10 reward from their program. It has a generous serving of pasta alongside grilled chicken and steamed broccoli. Their Chicken Caesar Salad is also a fair choice and nicer on the wallet, featuring a simple ensemble of grilled chicken and garlic croutons on a bed of greens dressed in Caesar dressing. Speaking of easy on the wallet, their $13 lunch specials feature a handful of their usual fare in smaller portions with a mini Pizookie for dessert. As aforementioned, the Pizookie is the main draw for me to this restaurant. Every other one I've had doesn't compare to BJ's. My go-to is the Cookies 'n Cream Pizookie, which loads a few scoops of vanilla ice-cream and Oreo whipped cream on top of a hot Oreo-flavored cookie spanning a stainless steel pan. However, they feature a modest array of other flavors, including seasonal flavors such as their S'mores pizookie. Mini pizookies are also available for those who crave a smaller bite. It's truly such a versatile dessert piece that I recommend anyone try while they're here.

We came during Happy Hour so the prices were great. On top of that, our server Charlotte R, asked if we were in the loyalty program. This reminded me we were, so this got us an appetizer for free! BJs is definitely a go-to place of mine. Happy Hour is AMAZING with so many selections of Food and Drink to choose from that are on discount. These are the Avocado Egg Rolls with a Blonde for the beer. Monday - Thursday they have "daily specials" as well that include discounted pizza, burgers, ribs but the catch is you have to come in to check it out 😄 Jessica and Afton are amazing bartenders at this establishment and I recommend you sit at the bar with these lovely ladies

Great burgers and awesome fries. Good service with lots of converted outdoor seating for social distancing. Did I say the fries are awesome, seriously hot, crunchy and perfect seasoning! Out your name on the list and they will text you when your table is ready. You can social distance by waiting in your car or outside. Great place to go for great food and good social distancing.

BJ's Restaurant is a great place for everyone, if you are going for lunch or dinner. If you like a gourmet burger or a piled on deep dish pizza or a high-quality French dip roast beef sandwich or just straight forward fantastic food, here is a place you must come and see for yourselves. I personally love thier Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie, but with a chocolate chip cookie instead... like always my sister's and brothers feed your food souls.. God bless

The drinks and food are great, the baked ziti is my go-to however I really loved the dumplings I tried this time.

We had our great grandmothers 95th birthday party here. The service was excellent. The staff were beyond friendly. They opened the big bay windows for a nice open air bistro feel. The food was hot and tasty. The manager Scott was always present to ensure everything was as planned. It's a no brainer for any future parties. We'll come back here.

Man, this was some very fine chow! Not cheap but we got happy hour price on the grog, which is also pretty fine. But they have more than twenty years of brewing experience, so it's not a surprise. Whether you need to be able to see through your beer or you prefer the manlier brews, you won't be disappointed. Wednesday night the light crowd meant service was a little too thin but it also meant we didn't have to shout across the table or crowd together to be heard. (It's why we usually dine midweek and I think slower service is nicely offset by the relative peace and calm.) My wife enjoyed her Salmon while I simply loved my double porkchop. My dinner made three meals, and shined each time. Pork, the other white meat.

I used to come here once a week with my wife about 10 years ago when I lived in SJ. We loved to meet here at the end of the week to unwind with an app and a beer. i decided to stop in on my way home since i haven't been here in ages. Just wanted to say the burger was tasty but above all the staff was seriously the most attentive and friendly staff that i maybe have ever seen. I used to eat at this restaurant a lot, like at least 3 times per week about a year or two ago and stopped coming for a long time because the service got so bad and the turn over rate for employees was extremely high but we decided to go back and try it again last night because BJs has the best drinks in the area out of the restaurants. We went in and Nevaeh was our server and she was the first out of about 100 visits to actually get out entire order correct, she went out of her way to make sure the drink order and food order was correct and it was a great experience even with the restaurant being super busy. She still came and checked on us the perfect amount of times and was extremely helpful and made the experience amazing again. We will be coming back more often again forsure when she is working!

We upgraded the Pizookie to a full size version of the Halloween special and it was amazing but the best part of the meal was our waitress, whose name was Nevaeh. She made the evening very enjoyable with her pleasant personality. The food was great, but the service will bring us back again.

The food was good, the prices were fair, and the wait was basically nothing. The drinks were good and everything arrived in good timing. What really makes or breaks a restaurant after taste is the server. Ours was adorable. Not just because of her sweet smile. Jordan felt like an old friend- understood exactly what we wanted, make perfect recommendations, and always popped up at the right time. After having her serve us, I understand why people request to sit in a certain server’s area. Highly recommend the seared ahi salad and the protein bowl!

BJ’s is one of the only chain restaurants we frequent because we enjoy the food and atmosphere. Antonio T. Was our server and he did an excellent job with recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. My hubs orders the ahi salad and the quality and freshness is consistently great. He also enjoys the beer selection while I prefer a good cocktail and BJ’s has a lovely selection. I usually get one of the protein bowls or salads- which are huge. This visit I opted for the Prime rib dinner because I haven’t had a PR in years. It was so flavorful and size was generous and it came with 2 sides and a salad. I ordered the wedge for my salad and would definitely order again. I split the 2 sides. I enjoyed the roasted asparagus while my husband ordered the clam chowder. It was so much food— I took some of the PR to go. The chocolate chip Pizouki and ice cream were out of this world!! I don’t order dessert but it came with the meal and was worth any guilt!!!

Not only was the service amazing but the food was delicious. I had the honey sriracha Brussels sprouts with a wedge salad and clam chowder . While my sister had the lemon pepper wings and my daughter had the sliders and fries. All were really good . I would definitely come back again .

I truly LOVE BJ's. Their Deep dish pizza, Chicken Alfredo with the garlic knots, Pizza Cookie....I can go on and on. They have happy hour, but awesomely enough they have happy all day Sunday when NFL is playing. Service can be hit or miss here but mostly good. Just one last thing, DO NOT get the sliders. We had a reservation for 14 people to celebrate our recent VHS graduate. We originally had a server who was a little slow at getting our drinks in and never asked for our appetizers but he soon came to let us know he was taking a break and another server was going to help us. Airez, our new server, was amazing! He took our order, questions, substitutions and anything else a 14 people order of chaos can create with a smile. He even offered to take a picture of our table since we were celebrating. Although we could tell the restaurant was busy, Airez always showed us he cared about our table. I really appreciated it!

I'll be honest in the past we've had some horrible service and decided not to go back, but last few lunches we've had some good service. Lunch menu special in great, lots of options to choose from, my fav unlimited soup and salad with options to choose from. And a mini pizookies to go if you've just eaten too much for lunch 😍

This is a pretty good place to get you typical American food. Their salmon dishes are delicious, their pazookies are AWESOME, and their ribeye is pretty good too, especially with the chimichurri sauce. The staff can be friendly, but sometimes they seem indifferent/ bothered by us going there too eat, especially at the reception area, so that kind of sucks, or else it would be an automatic 5 stars. Sometimes the food food does take a while, but I can deal with that, just a tad bit friendlier service would make up for that. Also, they have excellent drinks :D! Overall, I do come here semi - regularly and I recommend it.

On our initial arrival, we were overlooked several times by passing by servers, but finally, we stopped a young lady by the name of Gisselle G. She immediately apologized and said she would have our server come to us promptly. Unfortunately, this never happened, but Gisele returned and took it upon herself to be our server, and her service was outstanding. She went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was superior. We have dined here multiple times in the past and I’ve always enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the great assortment of beverages. BJ’s is a great place to go for Fun atmosphere in good food. If you sit in the bar area, definitely ask for Giselle!

Our server Riley was great! Gave us extra hot fries since we waited a bit for our food. Pizookie was excellent and for the most part everyone liked their food. My friends ordered a cheeseburger, full rack of ribs and tri tip. Only issue was that the chicken for the chicken club sandwich was dry and the broccoli was over cooked.

I had a great night enjoying a meal here. My server was Jojo, who by the way, is very funny very kind and knows how to engage with customers very well. Definitely deserving of a raise no doubt. The night was busy but it was calming and not so loud which was therapeutic after a long week. I had the Crispy Chicken sandwhich with chips and Artichoke Dip. And it was absolutely delicious and would easily stop by and get it again. Prices are a little high here so I do recommend coming here on a special night. It’s consistent. Every handful of months I hope it gets better but every time I go it’s about the same experience: mediocre food, terrible service, ever increasing prices. The fresh tap beer selection is the only highlight. Ugh no more. It will never change.

I recently visited this restaurant with my group of three after putting ourselves on the waitlist through the app. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we found the parking lot to be in terrible condition. Considering the size of the restaurant, there simply wasn't enough parking available, and we had to resort to parking in neighboring store lots. Once inside, we were greeted promptly at the door and quickly attended to at the check-in desk. Our hostess, Ashley Y., was friendly and full of energy. She took our order with great attention to detail and helped us with everything we needed, including answering all of our questions. Now, let's talk about the food. The house-brewed root beer had an off taste compared to previous experiences. It felt like it was lacking some flavor, although I couldn't quite pinpoint what was missing. The tomato soup, which was the main reason we chose this place, was warm and fresh. It came with three croissants that, when mixed into the soup, provided a deliciously smooth texture. If you prefer a different texture, I recommend eating the croissants off the top without mixing. The creamy warmth of the soup was refreshing, and the basil added a perfect touch to the flavor. The sweet potato fries were nothing out of the ordinary; they tasted like regular sweet potato fries. Just add ketchup, and they're good to go! Moving on to the baked potato, the exterior had a soft and dry texture with a slightly salty flavor. However, the inside was moist and soft, and with butter and sour cream, it tasted splendid. As for the slow-roasted tri-tip (medium rare), it was extremely salty on the outside. It was easy to cut and chew, with a slight bitterness to it, but the overall taste was decent. I had higher expectations for it. When I tried dipping the slow-roasted tri-tip (medium rare) in au jus, it tasted better, especially the inside part of the steak. The au jus cleaned off some of the saltiness, but it still didn't quite reach the level of flavor I was expecting. I ended up taking half of it home to eat later. The brownie Pazookie came out warm and fresh. The first bite was delicious and mouth-watering. The nuts in the ice cream added a wonderful crunch, and the sweetness of the Pazookie was perfection. The only downside was that if you accidentally scrape the pan it was cooked in while scooping your Pazookie, you can taste a metallic flavor. Apart from some noisy children, which is to be expected on a Saturday night and beyond the restaurant's control, the noise level and music were at an appropriate level. Conversations could be held without having to yell at the person next to you. You could talk at a normal voice level, similar to being at home with the TV on in the background. Overall, the staff and environment were wonderful, earning themselves the tip I paid for the meal. However, the food fell slightly short of the quality I expected for the price. Except for the soup and Pazookie, most dishes felt lower in quality. As we left the restaurant, we were warmly wished a nice day and thanked for our visit.

Ordered the Prime rib steak Medium rare. By the time the food was served to me it was cold. I had the prime rib steak bundle came with soup or salad and pizookie. The soup was Ok. not spectcular. I just wish my steak that i paid 35$ wasnt COLD. i know it was cold because the knife i tried to cut it with couldnt cut a cold steak only a hot one

Normally BJs is one of my favorite places to eat, but this location fell way short of my expectations solely due to poor service. We were greeted and seated quickly with and with a smile. We had to wait a while to be seen by the server initially, but as the restaurant was full, we understood the wait. After she took our order she disappeared. Other people brought out our drinks and food, but they didn't get the message that we were sharing our meal so didn't bring an n extra plate. What we got when we asked for an extra plate was a small salad plate which was just barely big enough to hold my half of the meal. We were never offered refills on our drinks. After finishing our meal we waited and waited while our server was visiting with another guest. Despite trying to wave down anyone we finally caught the manager's attention, and she interrupted our server's conversation to come help us. We asked the waitress to bring out our pazookie (which came with our meal). When it finally arrived (2 baseball innings later) it was not hot having apparently sat in the kitchen too long. Training is definitely needed at this location.

I don't know if they're understaffed or not. But service was slow. We were sat pretty quickly, but the waiter didn't seem to have time to ask us how our food was. Nor did they ask if we needed more drinks. Beers were really good (what little we had), but the food was pretty average. Lastly, they didn't accept my gift card. Allegedly, the manager said it didn't work. Despite the card having a card# and pin #. Overall, could have been a better experience if service was up to par.

So our waitress Brittany was great this review is no reflection on her. But the food was horrible. I ordered the tri-tip and chicken combo for $25 and got a silver dollar sized peice of steak and a dried out chicken breast. My friend ordered the chicken Alfredo with broccoli. He said his was pretty good. The mashed cheesy potatoes were unseasoned and the chicken was drier than the Sahara. Brittany was the only bright spot in this experience as she was bubbly and prompt with everything. I would not recommend BJ's to anyone, they are overpriced and the food is mediocre at best.

We haven’t gone to BJs in a long time and after tonight we won’t be going back. Our server couldn’t get our drink orders correct. She totally skipped one person at our table. We were charged for two margaritas because the waitress got the first drink wrong!! The server said she would bring two samples of beer for my husband and she came back with a full size beer and set it down and walked off so he didn’t even know what he was drinking. The piece of salmon I was served I wouldn’t have fed to my dog. The picture shows a 2.5 inch piece of salmon from the mid section. The piece I was served was barely an inch wide!! I would have sent it back but I didn’t want to wait 20 minutes for another. The prime rib my husband had was good but the toy steak knife wouldn’t cut it. He had to pull out his pocket knife to be able to eat his meal. The monkey bread pazookie was totally stuck to the pan and dry as can be. The whole experience was just bad! Never again!

The negative reviews are absolutely justified—consider this your heads-up! If you have another option, take it. I stopped by when there wasn’t much of a wait and grabbed a seat at the bar since a few were open. It still took quite a while before anyone even asked for my drink order. My partner and I only ordered a pizookie, yet from the time we sat down to when it finally arrived, it was around 40 minutes. A good portion of the staff seemed totally uninterested in their work, let alone in providing decent service. The dessert itself was mediocre—it didn’t have the same quality or flavor we’ve experienced at other BJ’s locations across the country. I won’t be coming back to this one and would recommend others skip it, too.

I placed an order online at BJ’s and came in to pick it up. No one greeted me, and multiple people who arrived after me were helped first. I had to call the store just to find out where to go—only then was I told to go to the second desk. When I asked for help, the employee had a terrible attitude. This was some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced. To top it off, when placing the order, the first prompt was to leave a 18% tip—for what? Absolutely ridiculous. BJ’s is a rip-off with horrible service.

Went by yesterday after a walk on the pier with my kids. Went in ordered something off kids menu and an appetizer on the to-go booth. Ordered three small items. No big dishes or anything else of that matter. Took what felt like 30 minutes or more. Customers walked in got seated and served their drinks & appetizers before I got my order. I should’ve sat down and ate, probably would’ve gotten served faster. Lesson learned, next time get seated order pay for bill at the front. It’s faster.

The service was awful we sat down as a group of four and waited for a while which is normal for bj’s but the server was extremely rude the entire time the service was non existent. I think her name was Claire M. We had to find out from the receipt because all she did was take our order with attitude, slam our drinks on the table and never came back.

Got seated really quick to a table to only sit there for 20 min and no one came to greet up, take our drink order or food. Worst part the restaurant wasn't busy.

Jojo is the worst waitress. We wwre seated, ordered drinks, appetizers & meals. Our chowder & dip came... then we proceeded to wait for our food for over an hour & it never arrived.. Jojo was in shock when we asked when our dinner was arriving, acting like she was unaware that we hadn't eaten yet. I will not be back.

Just wanted to sit at the bar, get some sliders, and get a couple long islands. The wait staff at the bar would walk right past you multiple times asking people if they wanted something else meanwhile I been seated at the bar for 10 minutes with no food or drink in front of me

I went today with my husband, no hostess was there to greet us. Wasn’t sure if they were short staffed , restaurant seemed pretty empty however it took more than 30 minutes for the food to come out and it came out cold. I asked for new fries since they were stale and cold and I swear they brought out the same ones. Wings were cold as well. Services and food quality has definitely gone down. Won’t be going back anytime soon

I ordered my pizookie and ill be honest, the portion of oreo whipped cream has truly gone down. Like really.

Drinks where good. The food was alright. The bad was the food poisoning. I had the BBQ ribs and my pal a steak. Spent all night in the toilet. Next day my buddy tells me he too got sick. It's too expensive for this to happen. A real let down.

I enjoy their food but will honestly never dine in again. My husband and I have been in quite a few times and we have had so many bad experiences with service. Vanessa has to be the worst and the rudest server we have ever encountered. The woman manager is also very passive aggressive and unfriendly. We have been so disappointed with this BJ's and would just rather drive to Westlake for the next restaurant.

You gotta be drunk to eat here. The ahi salad was the most abysmal thing I've ever had the displeasure of ordering and attempting to eat, overbearing fish taste and awfully salty. The pizookie is good granted you can't mess up a warm cookie. The kids menu mash potatoes had this weird film on it not pleasant at all.

Very nice place and great to watch sports. Bartender kept skipping me and my date over and over. Another bartender came and was very nice. Ordered the soup to start. It was very good but all the sudden I felt something hard when chewing and it was a PIECE OF PLASTIC. I told the bartender and he said he would tell the manager. The manager came and I told him I found plastic in the soup and did not want to keep eating it. The manager said it was NORMAL to find 1 piece of PLASTIC. That it would be abnormal to find A couple!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe what I heard. Then said he would bring me a fresh cup of soup and then 40 mnts passed and he came over and said he forgot about the soup but he would take it off the bill. I was confused. I chose this restaurant for my date and felt embarrassed. Made me never want to go eat there again. If the manager would see the plastic and say it’s normal to find plastic in the soup. Couldn’t believe he was the manager and he thought that by taking the cup of soup off the bill was enough. Just disappointed in the food and the manager. Terrible service!!!!

This place has completely gone down hill...Will most likely never return. Service and quality of food is completely lacking on every level

We uses to love this place but the management must be awful now because we went in on a Monday and nobody was in there but the tables were sticky, food all over the floor, bathroom handle had hair on it and the inside looked like a bar bathroom that hadn't been cleaned in weeks. If the cleanliness want bad enough, everything my wife tried to order was out of stock. Hopefully they clean this place up and start keeping menu items in stock again but until then, no thanks. I gave the service 5 stars because that was the only thing that was good. I felt sorry for them having to come back and tell us stuck was out of stock. Must be embarrassing for them.

My friend and I were seated and no one came to take our order for 20 minutes. I wish I could review the food but we ended up leaving. I was able to use the restroom and perhaps it was better we weren't served...

My wife and I love the BJ franchise but this location every time we go to try and give them another shot always disappoints. Food is always under and way over cooked causing my wife to get food poisoning one evening. Also expect to sit at your table with no one coming to ask for drinks for a good 30-45min

We ordered a BJ’s favorite pizza - LARGE. $35+ dollars. $40 if you order it on DoorDash which is what we did. The pizza was not fresh. It looked like a day old pizza that was reheated in a cheap oven. Ridiculous. I wish I could get my money back. Bad quality. HORRIBLE.

I ordered fish and chips and they were so burnt and disgusting. If I could give this dish zero stars, I would. I can’t believe they would serve this.
