Just steps from Palinuro's main square, at the end of a narrow alley, on a lovely terrace overlooking the harbor bay, seafood and local delicacies are served, accompanied by excellent wines. Generous portions. Ideal for couples seeking a romantic moment. Fast and courteous service. Prices are a bit higher than average, but reasonable for the generous portions served in an enchanting location. I'll be back.
Il Vicoletto is a restaurant right in the city center with a beautiful view. The staff is incredibly friendly: both the staff and the maître d' are friendly yet professional. The food is impeccable; we even had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who delighted us with excellent dishes. The appetizers and first courses were spectacular! The dessert was a perfect ending! We absolutely recommend it; we were thrilled.
A true gem of taste – Il Vicoletto is an experience to remember We had the pleasure of dining at Il Vicoletto restaurant, a haven of excellence for those who love seafood cooked with passion, creativity, and mastery. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We opted for a full tasting menu, which allowed us to savor a variety of appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts, with a truly thoughtful rotation of dishes. Each course was a small masterpiece, meticulously crafted and perfectly balanced in flavor. Among the dishes that most impressed us, I enthusiastically mention: • A tuna tartare with surprising coconut cream, delicate yet intense, a bold combination executed to perfection. • A textbook cacio e pepe with shrimp tartare, where tradition meets the sea in a harmonious and flavorful union. • A light and crispy fried calamari, executed with impeccable technique, worthy of a true master. • To conclude, a tiramisu dessert that rivals those of the finest pastry shops. The service was impeccable: friendly, attentive, and professional, without ever being intrusive. The host was extremely welcoming, making us feel at home while still providing all the attention reserved for special guests. Special praise goes to the chef, who deserves every praise for the quality of the ingredients, the creativity of his dishes, and his culinary technique. Ultimately, Il Vicoletto is a restaurant you'll want to return to, a place where seafood is celebrated with elegance and heart. Congratulations to the entire staff: you truly deserve the best!
I had lunch here with a friend. We ordered two first courses and a fried dish, and everything was delicious!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the start. The place has a beautiful view, and the location is also very well-maintained! Highly recommended, especially for its value for money!

Truly a great place! I trusted the reviews, being from Turin, and I must say we hit the jackpot! We went for dinner on September 13th, for my husband's birthday! Everything was delicious, the staff was excellent... friendly and helpful. The food was EXCELLENT! The tuna steak... sublime! The desserts too!!!! ❤️ It's a shame we couldn't enjoy the sea view terrace due to the rain and cold! If you visit Palinuro, this is an absolute must-see!

Delicious food and pairings that truly make a great team. Personally, although simple, the seared tuna main course overwhelmed my mouth with flavor with every bite—a delight. The terrace location is beautiful and evocative. The only flaw I found, though not excessive, lies in the service. Given the kitchen staff's meticulous attention to detail, one would expect an equally professional dining room team. It's not a major flaw, but considering that after the appetizer, the dishes were never explained to us, considering the waiter's three rude comments because he hadn't considered the space, and considering the request to wait for coffee so that we could enjoy a last sip of wine (at 10:30 a.m., the restaurant was empty), it wasn't met. I'd say that even these "minor" niggles detract from the dining experience the restaurant certainly aims to offer. The prices are above average, but justified by the quality of the food and the generous portions. From the photos on the menu, we expected less. See you soon.
Spectacular dinner. The location is beautiful, with a sea view. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious: I recommend the red shrimp caprese as an appetizer, and the squid ink linguine with cuttlefish and scampi as a main course, which was truly sublime. The prices are higher than average, but the quality of the food, the location, and the service are worth it. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed the terrace, just the four of us, on a beautiful day with a breathtaking sea view. The maître d' pampered us from the start, making us feel at ease, and the chef was impeccable. The food was incredibly fresh, prepared with passion and professionalism. A memory we'll always cherish. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Very nice atmosphere, excellent fish, good service, reasonable price. What to have more….
Stunning location with a terrace overlooking the Gulf of Palinuro, perfect for taking stunning sunset photos. Both the fish and meat dishes are excellent and truly well-prepared. The raw fish platter is spectacular, but the rest of the appetizers are also worth trying, with pairings of fish with burrata or stracciatella that seem to be made to go together. The lobster spaghetti deserves applause. The wine list is also excellent.

Very friendly personnel always trying to fulfill personal wishes such as a candle in the room. Knowlegdeable concerning wine. Very good food from schnitzel up to lobster. Recommendable!
Very good seafood
Great view, but a little windy and pricey.
Nice view and atmosphere. Friendly staff (including the random cat). Though, among what we ordered, options varied in terms of taste and quality, some were very good (spaghetti ai frutti di mare, recommended) while other were quite disappointing (tagliata di manzo, overly fatty and unpleasant). That is why I don't feel giving it 4 stars. Probably it deserves another chance, give it a try I would say.

We arrive and are very kindly escorted to our table. There are two of us. For our appetizer, we order a cuttlefish stuffed with cod and a shrimp caprese (tartare). For our first course, orecchiette with monkfish, broad beans, and mussels, and a seafood scialatiello. We try both first courses and send them back to the kitchen. The orecchiette was excessively bitter and the scialatiello excessively salty. The waiter very kindly offers us two lemon sorbets. Personal observations: the appetizers weren't great, with unbalanced and not particularly enjoyable flavors. The shrimp tartare in the "caprese" was overpowered by the basil (cream) flavor, and therefore the shrimp wasn't appreciable. We're talking about a dish costing around €25, so we weren't expecting much. The stuffed cuttlefish had a lukewarm "seafood" flavor, but it's still a dish that's not at all balanced. The extremely elegant and relaxed atmosphere of the terrace overlooking the sea, however, made up for the dissatisfaction of our palates. When the first courses arrived, we couldn't find the right amount of inspiration. Despite our efforts, the orecchietta remained 3/4 full and the scialatiello almost intact. We pointed out the anomaly to the chef, who promptly took the dishes back to the kitchen, offering to remake them. At that point, our stomachs weren't so ready, and we thanked him, but declined. The chef, however, reported the chef's words: "He added too much seafood to the scialatiello and therefore didn't use the right amount of salt; in the orecchietta, too much bottarga caused an unexpected bitterness." The courtesy and transparency of the chef and all the staff is commendable. At the cashier, we paid a bill of 99 euros (one of the first courses was refunded and, as anticipated, the sorbets offered). I want to reiterate that the location, atmosphere, and staff are truly excellent, and it's a real shame the food isn't up to par. In the hope of improvement, I'm leaving this hopefully constructive criticism with the promise to return next year. Best regards
