Went to a private party here today and man I haven't had that much fun in a looking time! Dancer on the bar, a dance club in the bad, friendly staff, patio with misters and it was clean.

Really cool bar, we all met up here for drinks and fun. They even have a dance floor in the back.

Had an amazing time at the Sunday drag brunch. I got the chilaquiles which was seasoned well. The performers were amazing to watch and it was a very interactive experience. Highly recommend!

Went for the Sunday brunch show and it was amazing! Reasonably priced bottomless mimosas. Great food, even better show 🫶🏼 I had the waffles and they were delicious!

Friends and myself needed to get away so we booked a visit to Palm Springs. In the year of COVID this gay bar was open and had a wonderful outdoor area that followed all COVID rules. It was nice to finally get out again even if we still had to seat at a table. The bartenders were all super nice and got us our drinks even when the place got busy. Hope to return to PS and this bar to see how it is post-COVID (please let that be soon). The bathrooms were pretty clean and hand sanitize stations were always present. Thanks Chill Bar for a good time.

We went here on a Friday night and it wasn't that busy surprisingly. Apparently it's offseason in Palm Springs. It's cool that they have a whole back room as well. There were a lot more females here than I expected.

Stopped in for a night cap as the place was relatively empty. My wife asked the bartender for a "surprise me" type of sweet drink and she loved it. Admittedly, the service was a bit cold from the few staff members that I talked to, but it mightve been the end of their shift (which I can totally understand), but nothing against them. They were all friendly enough and I believe this to be an inclusive establishment for anyone wanting to stop by. They played great tunes and I can tell that it would be a chill place to hang out in during a busy day (no pun intended)

Is a good place to dance and let loose, drinks areOK, not too strong but go easy, and people are friendly. The bathroom situation is a bit different, as they do not have assigned gender, and that can be uncomfortable for many guests. The outside patio is nice to looke a the hot people walking by.

Great place, fantastic Drag show. Employess were fantastic. Especially Sabrina and Paul W. They really helped with my partner getting vegan food. Please pass this on to them and let them know how much we appreciate their kind, friendly service. ❤️ We had a blast and will be back next time we visit Palm Springs.

EDIT: After second thought, they also had dancers that were nice to look at and the bartenders were friendly. The music wouldn't be my first choice but the vibe is indeed, chill. They've got it right here. 1st Review: Cool place to people watch and spark conversation with random strangers. Music is decent.

One of my favorite bars in PS! Always nice and CHILLy and great drink prices. Small patio but still great to step outside and socialize. During some weekends and Pride the dance floor is opened up and it becomes a HUGE club/bar with additional patio space in the back!

I had a fantastic time doing happy hour at chill bar. The dance area in the back is all age friendly so don’t worry if you’re 40’s, 50’s or you used to brunch with Carol Channing. All are welcome. The drinks are strong and bar staff is friendly. Definitely worth a stop when in Palm Springs.

Sorry these pictures look like this is the set of Superman’s fortresses of solitude. It’s that cool. Chef designed, fresh-made ingredients for their foods and sharp team overall. Ty for a chill time. (Psst says the guy shaking his leg like it’s making electricity).

Probably one of the better bars to go to in Palm Springs on Arenas Street. Fun for locals and tourists. Drinks are reasonably priced. It gets crowded on weekends but the music is good, bar staff is quick and over all its a fun vibe.

We booked a table through Eventbrite for the drag brunch. The promoter is “Andy Santiago Presents.” The staff and the show were amazing! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quality drag show. The staff was super friendly, accommodating and made our group’s experience 5 stars. Thank you for a great time!

I came with my gaggle of Seattle gays. As a woman, sometimes gay bars can be unwelcoming. This is not that place. I felt welcome, safe and I had am amazing Bloody Mary or 9 (which is also hars to come by). The food was incredible. Birria heaven. The drink deals were coma inducing, (drink responsibly, kids) This will be my go to spot anytime I am in town. Not to leave out, the music was incredible.

It's the place to be in Palm Springs to chill, then dance if you'd like, IYKYK! Make your way to every club and bar in minutes but stop at Chill first to get your vibe right for the night. Awesome service every time.

Recently went to their Sunday Drag Show, 12-3 , and had a fantastic time. The service was great, we sat at the bar, right by stage, we had a friend in a wheelchair, so she had appropriate seating. The food was A++, the MC and all the performers really were entertaining and provided the entire bar an A+ show. I would highly recommend treating yourself to the show!

I went out last night and they charged me twice for two transactions($125+$125) that I never made. Mind you I only went with a friend and they typically charge me $30 at most for two drinks. I’ve been here before and this has never happened to me. I’m so disappointed with Chill Bar. Update: The owner replied to me and I do appreciate the time that you took to clarify this. I was really bummed out when I seen the charges on my account but thankfully it was resolved. Thank you.

Good margaritas, strong pours, hip-hop/r&b remixes, fun dance area. Feels almost like a cave. Perfect about of dark/light unlike Hunters which is too light/bright.

This is the hip, comfortable gay bar on Arenas. It has a very nice patio where you can smoke and meet people. I've always found it pleasant in the afternoon.

We like this little bar in downtown Palm Springs. It is a popular gay bar with great music (mostly DJ music), sometimes dancers for entertainment, and a small dance floor. They have a private room for parties, too. We like the inexpensive rail drinks (only $5- always…) as well as their great selection of liquors and other cocktails. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a great place to hang out with friends!

What a fun place. We came for the evening drag show and Mayhem Miller was the MC. A great show! The waiters were fun and very attentive to our group. The show was pretty consistently entertaining. There were a couple of performers that really stood out from the pack and they made the show so much fun! The crowd was very engaged and made it even more entertaining. We had a birthday celebration going on in our group and were escorted on stage for some Q&A and shots. Birthday girl had a great time!! I would say that a great time was had by all. A fun place and a great show. We stayed after for a while as we heard there would be a DJ and music with dancing. It was awkward as the dancing was just around the bar area, no real dance floor. We ended up leaving and moving to there bars in the area. Chill did have the best music by far.

Fun bar. It was my first time, but based on other photos online it looks like they might have remolded recently. The staff were nice, they had a few gogo dancers, and the drink was strong. They had a separate dance floor that wasn’t open the night I went. Compared to some of the other bars on the block I’d say Chill Bar mostly gets the 20-30’s crowd, and those looking to dance with their friends or be seen.

Love this bar at night, always a fun night out. However I went to their Schitts Creek Brunch, awful, the drag queens didn't have the slightest of clues about the TV show. Great idea, but no one put any effort into this. They shouldn't be charging $25 each for such an abysmal show.

R

I went to their Sunday drag brunch. If you want a great drag show, and a place for nice drinks at 11am - look no further. If you want a nice brunch - look elsewhere. The food was terrible. And how do you not have coffee available at a brunch?

Please please remove wanna be Dj Steve Sidewalk from your Saturday nights. Such a terrible Dj. He just lets music play and doesn’t mix plays old disco most of the night. Hello it’s 2024 not 1984 . Also talks way too much vs allowing us to have fun and dance. Terrible.

The bartender ignored me and took someone in front of me and then had an attitude.

It was too hot. I don’t think they had the A.C on all weekend. Great music but we ended up leaving to the other bars as they were all much cooler. It was unbearable to dance.

I want to start off by saying this place has extremely unethical practices. Employees get away with stealing. My friend left his wallet by the bar and when he went back it was no longer there. Unbeknownst to them, the wallet had an integrated tracking system. The employee drove with the wallet back to his home, to the stores, and back to Chill’s to work the next day. When we went to ask for them to return it, the employee acted as if they didn’t find anything or never saw it. Funny enough, we pinged the wallet right in front of the staff and it rang in their pocket!! When he pulled it out he already had his stuff inside the wallet, like okay make yourself at home? Instead of turning it into the lost and found, these employees choose to steal and even if you claim it, they won’t admit to it. Furthermore, they refused to roll back the cameras (hmmm wonder why). Experiencing this with my friends here was extremely eye opening. We will NEVER GO HERE OR RECOMMEND this place to anyone. Staff are thieves and it’s allowed by management, completely disgusting behavior.

Z
Zach G

If I could give Chill Bar zero stars, I would. The employees steal wallets and personal items. I accidentally dropped my wallet, which luckily had a tracker in it. Instead of turning it in, someone took it and it started moving all over Palm Springs and Indio. The next day, the tracker showed it was back at the bar. I went in to speak with the manager, who brought out the employee. The employee claimed he’d never seen anything and didn’t even know what the wallet looked like. I pinged the wallet right there—and he was using it! Then his story suddenly changed, saying he thought it was his, and claimed it had nothing in it. The manager then began to defend the employee, brushing off the incident and even trying to make me seem like the unreasonable one. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I felt completely disrespected and dismissed. Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of bars in Palm Springs that don’t tolerate theft or cover for dishonest staff. Chill Bar is not one of them.

M
Mamaof1

I was there on a slow Tuesday and Austin was my bartender i for 2 cocktails totaling $24 and I tipped him in 5 $1 bills also wrote cash in the tip line and he still closed my check to am extra $5 with a new total at $29. Chill bar was my go to. But I'm definitely rethinking it or paying in strictly cash! That's theft and fraud and that is not OK! My friend gave me the heads up as she noticed it on her debit card charge. She bought the 2nd round. And handed him a $5 bill! For the tip! Never expected this from a happy place.

Overbearing security makes for an unpleasant and potentially dangerous environment. Go to Hunters or Streetbar to spend your money

Place was dirty as were the glasses they served us drinks in. THAT is a sign of a unsanitary establishment. It cannot be that hard to actually make sure glasses you serve customers drinks in are CLEAN. Now can it??!!! DO BETTER!!!

I was visiting California for a time and decided to go to Palm Springs, went to this bar twice, never had a problem. The third time in a Friday night the security guard created problems to accept my ID because it was from other country. Really? In touristic city like Palm Springs, in a state like California full of immigrants and tourists you only can accept american ID? Never go back again and don’t recommend if you are tourist from a South American country cause it seems like we are not welcome at this place.

Formal Complaint Regarding Incident at Chill Bar Palm Springs - October 25, 2025 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a deeply disturbing incident that occurred at Chill Bar Palm Springs on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at approximately 11:00 PM. After spending some time at Bunker, I arrived at Chill Bar and was on the dance floor. Due to back pain, I decided to sit on a platform/stage near the front of the dance floor, a location where I have routinely sat during my ten years of patronage without issue. A security personnel member approached me and demanded I move. Although confused, as this usually only occurs for scheduled entertainment, I complied. The individual offered no explanation and departed. A short while later, still experiencing back pain, I sat down in the same area to rest. The same security personnel member returned and began yelling at me to move. I attempted to explain that I was resting due to back pain and that I had always been permitted to sit there. However, as soon as I stated "no," the security guard became aggressive, yelling, "You are leaving now!!" He then forcibly removed my beer from my hand, throwing it to the floor. Subsequently, he physically grabbed me, placed me in a wrestling headlock, and dragged me through the entire bar before forcibly removing me from the premises. I was not intoxicated or disorderly, nor was I obstructing anyone. I was simply seeking a brief moment of rest due to a physical discomfort. The unprovoked physical assault and verbal abuse I experienced were entirely unacceptable. This incident has left me deeply shaken and questioning my safety and ability to return to an establishment I have frequented and enjoyed for over a decade. I am unsure if this was an isolated act by an employee with anger management issues or if it reflects a new policy at Chill Bar Palm Springs. I believe it is important to bring this matter to your attention so that others may be spared similar treatment.

Fun place that cannot manage busy weekends. We waited in line for an hour during Pride weekend.we got to the fridge not and security cannot tell us why we can't get in. I've never experienced such a bar failure. AVOID!!!

I hate this bar. They have told me multiple times I’m not allowed in for too many drinks when I have only had a few drinks. It has ruined so many occasions with friends and it’s embarrassing. I always get into other bars later and everyone that I go with says I don’t even seem drunk. It’s humiliating, demeaning, and disrespectful. I’ve been to too many bars to know this is wrong.

M

As a local, the crap I saw tonight against my black husband was unacceptable. Racist establishment. Especially the bartenders! Go elsewhere. PS needs to shut this place down.

B

Went there to get a drink and stood at the bar while 1 person worked and 6 others stood around talking. Got ignored for 5 minutes, finally got told by the one working it would be just a second, another worked walked up to the register directly in front of me, no acknowledgement and walked back to the group of workers doing nothing. Bar wasn't busy, me and my friend were the only ones standing at the bar waiting for service. So after 10 minutes we just left. Don't waste your time or money here they obviously don't want it.
