Walked in on Christmas Eve without a reservation on an off chance we might get a table. They went out of their way to get us seated. Just amazing. This was seriously some of the best Italian food that we have had this side Italy. Our server Ferial was outstanding and accommodated our every request with a pleasant smile. Well done JC’s. Bravo!!

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a delicious Italian meal. We ordered the Osso Buco and the Lasagne, and both were simply outstanding. The Osso Buco was incredibly tender, rich, and full of deep, comforting flavors. The Lasagne was perfectly layered with a savory blend of cheese, sauce, and pasta—each bite was pure perfection. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful dining experience. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Johnny Costa’s is a must-visit for authentic Italian cuisine. We can’t wait to return!

Starts off with a marinara bread basket and sourdough basket with butterrrr! Entrees come with soup of the day or salad! Menu was vast and we all got something a little different! I got the spaghetti 🍝. We were sooo full, no room for dessert. Fun tip: they have a back door!

This restaurant is awesome!! Excellent foods and service. I highly recommend! We ordered gluten free pasta and was great. If you are not told that gluten free you wouldn’t notice. Desert was delicious too. Everything we ordered was wonderful. Thank you John for taking care of our table. You made us happy and great night. We definitely come back!

I am now a fan of Jhonny Costa. Delightful Experience, Amazing Food, every item was cooked to perfection. I loved their ambiance. There is limited street parking but a parking block just nearby which has ample spaces. The food, the bread, the shrimp, the pastas were one of the best which I had in Palm Springs. I would surely come back here every year.

Johnny Costa's. What a great name for a restaurant. Sounds like the name of a main character in a mid-20th century Italian mobster movie, and that's exactly what the vibe in here was. Classic Italian Music, white table cloths, candlelit tables, etc. I walked in here post heat stroke due to the 105 degree Palm Springs heat and 1 too many vodka lemonades by the pool, so I was in DESPERATE need of some ice water like Spongebob in Sandy's crib. The server refilled my water so quick, and ended up just putting the pitcher by us. CLUTCH. I got the Veal Parmigiana ($39) that came with a side of the "pasta of the day," which just turned out to be spaghetti and red sauce. I suspect the "pasta of the day" is always spaghetti and red sauce, which I think is kind of a cop out since there are no substitutions. Just say it comes with "spaghetti" rather than "pasta of the day." I don't know, maybe I’m trippin. After I settled down from pasta-of-the-day-gate, I dug into this veal parm. It was phenomenal. Sensational. It had a crispy exterior and a tender interior with a healthy portion of cheese and marinara sauce on top. Smackin. I felt like Johnny Costa himself eating this. Excellent Italian food; terrific desserts and the waiters were very kind and served us royally. A very enjoyable evening and experience. I’ll be going back really soon. Ample parking and handicapped spaces in the restaurant parking lot. They serve delicious cocktails. It had great pictures of Frank Sinatra in the dining room, as well. A must visit for an ultimate Italiano to die for dinner.

My wife and I were looking for a classic restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, made reservations just 30 minutes before arriving and they accommodated us with a booth. We started out with an antipasto plate, a martini for my wife and Negroni for me, perfect! I ordered the veal chop and my wife had the halibut which both came with salads and the bread kept coming as well. The veal chop was grill just as I asked but the halibut, however very good, my wife seemed think it needed a little more of a punch up in flavor. Finished off the night with an apple caramel desert and coffee, service was professional and informed, atmosphere was great with the exception of a screaming kid every now and then but overall a great experience, worth a visit.

They were able to sneak us in without a reservation and we are so glad they did. Service was fast and friendly. The place was packed. We enjoyed our meals, both the chicken marsala mushroom as well the ravioli marinara. Thank you for inspiring me to regularly make chicken marsala at home. The white Zinfandel was excellent!! We will return next time we are in Palm Springs!

You keep looking around, waiting for the Rat Pack to appear! The service is excellant - you are not pestered, but all your needs are met. The food us fantastic - and the servings are generous. Even the salad dressing us made in house. The bread is delicious. My only complaint was the dessert - so much goodness to choose from when you are too full to eat one more bite!

One of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had! The linguine with mussels in white sauce was incredible, and the minestrone soup was simple yet bursting with flavor. Fantastic service—never rushed, attentive, and thoughtful. 10/10 recommend!

Outstanding food and service. Have eaten here many times and they never disappoint. The gnocchi meat sauce is perfect. Recommend adding a meatball. The complementary bread is a little different with a couple pieces like a pizza crust. Their wine pours are also above average with a good selection of wines by the glass.

My husband and I are from New Jersey and both Italian, we’ve lived in California for 5+ years and this is hands down the BEST Italian food we’ve had in the state. Every single dish was piping hot, flavorful, and completely authentic. We live in Orange County and we will definitely be planning more trips to Palm Springs solely to come to this restaurant. Our server was the founder’s great nephew and he was so sweet and gave us amazing service. I’m already picking out what I’m going to order next time!!!

Really enjoyed the tasty tomato sauce, and the two meatballs were also good. REALLY enjoyed the fried mozzarella appetizer. Do yourself a favor with that one and some extra bread for the table, which I gotta call out. The focaccia was delicious.

I was fine and my food did not contain my allergen however I did feel slightly nervous that it may have done. I’m sure they did take it on board but it would have been nice to have some reassurance and know that I was being listened to for peace of mind. Overall fantastic though! Very reasonably priced for the quality and service! Nice atmosphere and great drinks!!

It’s very nice. Food was good and staff was friendly and efficient. Wouldn’t kill myself to go back though. Didn’t walk out thinking that I must return. Kinda pricey too.
