Know this place 15 years ago, used to come twice a week, if your in Palm Springs and looking for a huge hot and yummy food this is the place, we were a large group and our food came in a time record.... Highly recommend, the burgers, onion rings super hot and crispy, fries my friend order a steak super juicy and tender, crunchy chicken strips and more....

On a scale of 1 - 10, John's restaurant is a 20 hands down! Second to none. Employees are friendly and acknowledge you as soon as you walk in. The food is over the moon. My two favorites are the "Frisco Burger" and the "Ham and Turkey Club Sandwich." I will be coming here regularly from now on. When I get my order to go, my food is still hot when I arrive home unlike some other restaurants. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! It's a little pricey but worth it; for example, when I buy both of the above-mentioned items it costs $36.05

Plenty of different options for breakfast lunch and dinner, reasonably priced and the service is friendly and quick. You order up front and if you are dining in they bring your food to the table. Definitely a go to for food whenever we are in the area.

Didn't realize that breakfast was served all day (so I'm kicking myself a little) but I had a carne asada burrito. It was pretty plain (rice, refried beans, onions), but it tasted Really Good. I should have asked if they had guacamole. I liked the salsa that came with the burrito. The staff looked happy and the place was clean. I would visit again.

I spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Palm Springs. John's Is one of my favorite places to dine each time I visit Palm Springs. They have a large and varied menu and the prices are very reasonable. I've been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food and service are excellent. I have never been disappointed there. Keep up the great work!!

Walk up counter style burger spot with a large selection of entrees and snacks. This spot has been here for many years. It is fast and efficient, and the food is pretty darned good. The staff is friendly and the cooks are quick and on point. Keep it up y'all!

This is always my place to eat when I'm in Palm springs area. It's been my favorite for over 25 years. The menu is awesome. So many items to choose from.

Heartstoper burger is my favorite breakfast item. French toast is delicious. Fried zucchinies made to perfection. Chicken club sadwishes are must trys.

We had breakfast here on a Sunday at 9am and I had a sausage egg on sourdough bread. The sandwich came with lettuce tomato and mayo. While it was not the typical breakfast sandwich the combination was delicious. I would have come back again but it was closed on Monday.

This place takes you back in time of a bygone era . This is the best food I've had in Palm springs and I've been to many places. The quality is just unbeatable. I wish there was a place like this closer to where I live in the inland empire. This is the salmon Cesar salad, the best tastiest juiciest salmon, with nice crisp lettuce and dressed to perfection. I've tried many items from this menu , I highly recommend this , the blueberry pancakes, and the tuna melt is a dream.

Cute traditional american resto. It definitely has the simple and old style vibe Hubby and I came here on a Sunday and it was not too crowded yet. We tried their chicken fried steak and tuna salad sandwich, everything was cooked to our liking. Hubby like that the chicken fried steak was not crumbly and the gravy is tasty. The tuna salad sandwich had some pickle relish on it making it more tasty. Overall, a great breakfast place!

Great diner food especially for breakfast!!! John's has a variety of dishes on their menu - from salads, to sandwiches, to platters and so much more. Ordered the French Toast set that comes with sausage or bacon and egg - a meal packed with the right flavours and textures from the burnt edges of the French toast. We also ordered the Country Fried Steak plate which was also very delicious and filling. The other dish we ordered was the Bacon plate with egg, toast, and a huge hash brown. All the dishes were filling and definitely worth the calories! There's usually a line so make sure to go early. A great option for the great American diner cuisine.

Really busy place, they are on fire! I tried the California Mushroom Burger and it was great! It comes with real avocado (not like other places that buys the avocado processed in factories), bacon and of course mushrooms. This is my second visit here. I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup the first time, and it was excellent. This time, I had the Baked Chicken, and I was not disappointed. Also I got the last one, so it's popular. It was the most tender chicken I've had in a long time and very tasty. The mashed potatoes are real, I think. They tasted like it anyway. I like my vegetables cooked a little more, but I ate all of them. Soit was a great dinner for $22 bucks, including tip.

Super quick service after PRIDE parade! Got the Greek chicken pita, fried Zucchini and a corn dog and two large draft sodas...for $23! Prices are more then reasonable, quality is above average and service is still friendly under pressure. Large booths, great retro diner feel and quick cook times. Greek chicken pita had generous portion of seasoned chicken, which was moist and full of flavor. Fresh sliced tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers ad a very tasty classic gyro yogurt sauce (tzatziki). Fried Zucchini was super crispy, and generous portion, like 12 spears, with two ranch sauces. Corndog, crispy outside and great flavor! Super impressed & definitely recommend.

It can get a little loud and you have to order at the counter, which are not my favorite things. This is an order at the counter type diner. Old-school charm to it. Staff was friendly and grabbed whatever you needed or asked for. They are NOT dog friendly. I love taking my dog with me to places, but trust me do not try it here, there is lots of signage everywhere saying it. They are however kid/family friendly. I had the corned beef hash special with a side of French toast and both were really good and a fair price!

First of all you must know that I'm a dinner enthusiast. DDD is high on my list of hidden gem places. John's is such a place. You can go in and tell them what you feel like, and they'll get it for you and charge you a reasonable price for a tasty and large meal. We saw a plate of fries being served to a customer and made the mistake of ordering a large plate as an appetizer for the 4 of us. A third of it was left behind. Their salads are very good with meat of your choice on them at your pleasure. Mexican, BBQ, huge burgers, steaks fish... All available, and more. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were referred to John's by the owners of monster shakes here in Palm springs: best date shake I ever had, bye the way. Go to these 2 places, they're great.

Great selection, good prices, what we call, great little greasy spoon 😊 My husband had chicken fried steak and I had polish sausage and over easy eggs with perfectly crispy hash browns! In Palm Springs you'll find John's, open for breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. It was our first time here, we came in looking for breakfast, at the entrance you'll find the Newspaper Box (for free) I thought that was quite a touch, an addition to a new-world 50's style of dinning, Palm Springs Old-Fashion type of ambience. When you first come in you order directly at the front counter where one of the staff members will take your order & also be able to make recommendations (particularly our greeter was not having a good day, I think.. there personally was a slight attitude problem, can't say with confidence). Good experience other than that one which was the first contact as a customer, the staff members going around to tables dropping food orders were the nicest, same ones who will be pouring your coffee, fantastic service I thought to myself to particularly not have a waiter assigned just to us. Food was great, you'll find the condiments on the table, coffee will be a medium roast, H20 will be Coachella Valleys finest. To go boxes are stacked for you to grab on the side counter, there is a patio seating area for winter time. Great views of S Palm Canyon & the San Jacinto Mountain 🏔️ Excellent booth options for having breakfast when here. Anticipate scarce parking, & busy mornings. Forgot to mention bring cash to tip extra, when ordering the screen will prompt you asking for a service charge, however there is an excellent service provided by those running food & coffee, FYI, not to mention great prices & great food quality.

This place had the feel of a diner with a service counter for ordering. Many of the menu items have pictures on the front menu wall for examples of what you’d be ordering. They have a large selection of food from breakfast to lunch. Once you order you find a place to sit and the food gets delivered to your table. Food portions are generous and everything we tried tasted great. We ended up eating here twice during our short trip. The staff were friendly and one gentleman kept our drinks full.

John’s Restaurant is a great place to visit. Families, couples and singles will all enjoy this easy going atmosphere. Parking can be full, however there is plenty of street parking. Ordering is quick paced as you walk up to the order counter. You will be responsible for carrying your drinks and dining ware. The atmosphere can be loud with lots of conversations around you. There are a few dining tables outside to also enjoy. Customer service is always friendly and fast. The food is always good. I have been here many times for breakfast and dinner. I have not had a bad meal here. The food isn’t life changing however, it’s good and consistent. In these pictures I share with you the salmon salad and the ribs. Ribs are available after 4pm on Fridays and I believe on one of the weekend days. Well worth it and for me, the best tasking ribs in town. They are not just the flavor of the sauce, but of the meat themselves. They always fall off the bone. I am truly impressed. I highly recommend John’s Restaurant!

I had the chipotle chicken pita. Now you would think there would be chipotle sauce, nope. You would think there would be pita bread, nope. It was grilled chicken served on flatbread with a white sauce. After adding the white sauce to the sandwich I just wasn't quite right but a few dashes of Cholula it was quite tasty. Husband had shrimp , baked potato, and veggies. He's said it was really flattened out but everything was good.

I was visiting the hospital nearby and was told John’s was the place to go for a good meal. I ordered the All-American Burger and it did not disappoint! It was huge, very delicious, and came with avocado, bacon, lettuce, and onion—basically a full salad on a burger. I didn’t need anything else, it was that filling. I was in a rush to get back to the hospital so I couldn’t get more pictures, but I’m glad I stopped here. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

We always enjoy eating at John’s for the excellent food, the great (and large) salads, and their fair prices. They have many good options on their menu for vegetarians, including a vegetarian burger patty that is available. Also, their burgers are very good and the fries are also very good. We consider it a great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch with friends or family. I gave it 4 stars only because it is a “order at the counter” style restaurant. The food is delivered to your table after ordering and sitting down. The service is usually prompt and friendly. We have never been disappointed here with our meals or felt that we had overpaid. We will definitely keep returning here.

I don’t recommend the country fried steak: it was just a generic burger patty battered and unpalatably over-salted. The $2 corn dogs are a cute Palm Springs hangover cure.

John's sports the classic diner vibe and they serve what you expect from a diner - plus a lot of Mexican dishes. While we were there, the restaurant was clean and the staff was masked. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered a breakfast quesadilla and an omelette with hash browns. The omelette was excellent. The breakfast quesadilla was adequate, but lacked much in the way of flavor. Also, the food wasn't very warm as it sat for some time waiting to be brought to our table. Overall, John's is a nice place. My only suggestion is for a bit more attention to detail to ensure excellent food for the customers.

First, and likely, our last time stopping in for dinner. I had the sourdough bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and my spouse had the chipotle chicken pita with zucchini fries. Burger tasted pre-frozen and was undersized for the price. Onion rings were overbreaded and had an unfortunate aftertaste. There were no complaints about the pita, but the zucchini fries were also overbreaded. Restaurant has a diner vibe with a walk-up counter to order. Friendly staff and quick service.

Ordering at the counter. Food came nice and hot. The booths are very small. The tables are small too. I felt a little cramped. Server only came to bring the meal. Never came back to check on us. They are open early and the food is good.

Wanted to love it. Both of us had salads. Probably should have stuck with burgers.\n\nThe menu isn't available. You just have to look on the wall. And what's on the wall does not even begin to desc…

They were not taking my uber eats order I was dropped off there to pick it up when it says sorry mot talking orders. So never got to try there food

Good food for the couple times I've been there..became a usual. Now I'm experiencing inconsistencies when I order, which is frequently.

Maybe they do lunch better. Granted it was the day after Christmas so perhaps that contributed as well. I ordered their breakfast sandwich, eggs over-easy and hash browns crispy. Hash browns might as well have been raw. Eggs over hard.

Had huevos rancheros this morning. Was served with a half a cup of hot sauce poured on. Did not have cheese, cilantro or guacamole. Very poor excuse for huevos. They should google the recipe. I'm a local, and have eaten here many times. I would no longer recommend it.

I'm a local and I eat a John's quite a bit, today I decided to get the food delivered. I didn't realize that the restaurant used a third party called Toast for their deliveries. This is automatically populated when I placed the order, so as far as I could tell I didn't have a choice in the delivery company. Any way the order never came so I called the John's to see what was happening. The woman told me I could call the delivery driver and gave me a 17 digit phone number which was very odd and obviously didn't work. It was a little frustrating because she seemed to think that it wasn't her problem at all. Then she failed to hang up the phone after our conversation and I heard her saying very rude things about me to whoever she was working with. Anyway my family and I would eat here at least once a week but I don't think we're coming back for a long time. We usually dine in or pick. I understand now that the delivery company is separate but I think that John's does have some responsibility in the matter. At least pretend like you care! Anyway I'm out $50 for a couple sandwiches and don't plan on returning to John's anytime soon.
