Really love the vibe here. Highly recommended truffle pasta, fig & burrata sourdough, and cheese & ham plate. For me lobster pasta wasn’t bad but average taste.
Had one of the best gluten free meals ever! The service is amazing, but the food is unbelievable. The ravioli and eggplant Parmesan were the best I’ve ever had. The arancini as well got rave reviews from the entire table. It’s definitely a special occasion spot but so worth it!
Such a beautifully decorated and charming restaurant serving some of the best Italian cuisine I have ever had! Their homemade pastas were incredibly executed, and the flavors were out of this world. The Focaccia and olive oil came out warm and perfectly toasted. The risotto was truly life changing and an absolute must try. Highly recommend dining in the covered outdoor patio as the atmosphere was wonderful. Palma has easily become one of my favorites of all time! Would come back again and again as this place is a destination in itself.
This was undoubtedly one of the best Italian meals I’ve had since living in NYC! Highly recommend the carciofi fritti (fried calamari), arancini (risotto balls), ravioli Cacio e Pepe (very rich) and Candele Spezzate alla Genovese with GF pene (INCREDIBLE)!!! The La Vie en Rose cocktail was refreshing and the Brunello was delicious. The atmosphere at lunchtime was lovely and the staff were are super friendly. I cannot wait to come back to this restaurant and try everything! The menu was clearly labeled for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Staff was able to easily accommodate allergies to gluten, nuts, coconut and sesame.
We finally made it to Palma and everything was fantastic. It was the day after Christmas and it was snowing so it was quieter than usual according to the bartender, Kacey. She was fantastic and made perfect recommendations. We had the focaccia, Tuna Tartare, octopus, meatballs, and Candele Spezzate alla Genovese. Everything was delicious, perfectly balanced and seasoned especially the Candele which we were told is seasonal so it will be off the menu by spring. Go get it!! We finished with one the best tiramisus we’ve ever had.
Safe to say this is one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Food is phenomenal, service is top notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming / beautiful. Started out with focaccia and artichoke. Loved both, fully recommend them! Focaccia was so perfect, airy, soft, delicious. The artichoke was super good! You don’t usually see this dish so I thought it was unique and a phenomenal dish! The cheese added a super good flavor profile. Entrees we went with were the tortellini in butter/sage + the ragu. Both here were also delicious. The ragu had tons of meat and the tomato sauce was great. The tortellini was stuffed with a delicious buffalo cheese. Ended the meal off with the tiramisu which was a highlight. We’ve traveled around Italy and this tiramisu was top tier. Service here was super good. Many touch points between the weight staff and our table. The atmosphere was very enjoyable, not very loud. Thought the decor and vibe were A+. Hope to sit in the back room next time. Also the tables are spread out pretty far which is nice so you’re not right next to people which a lot of other restaurants do. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone just make sure to book your reservation as far in advance
It was more than a dinner, it was literally MAGICAL experience (every step, every page of the menu, every piece of tableware, every gesture of the staff who took care of us) and my family was nothing but delighted with food, ambience and hospitality!! and the FLOWERS, oh, the flowers!! Absolutely wonderful, absolutely must visit for everyone who wants to try the best (imho) Italian food in nyc and no doubt get the best wine options. Im so happy we decided to try different meals, and from the very first bite of focaccia we enjoyed everything. Can’t wait to be back and explore more!!
An Absolute West Village Gem! We just had the most magnificent lunch at Palma and I am still dreaming about it! This restaurant is a true destination. The design and decor are super charming—it feels like stepping into a sun-drenched Italian villa. We were lucky enough to dine in their outdoor covered patio space, and I highly recommend it. It was incredibly romantic and intimate, perfect for a special meal with my partner. We started by sharing the delectable tomato tart along with the radicchio and fig salad. Both were light, fresh, and beautifully executed, proving that even the simplest dishes here are crafted with care. For our main courses, the kitchen really shined: * My partner’s Chicken Milanese was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, and wonderfully moist and juicy inside. * My fresh cod was divine! It was served atop a rich hazelnut cream sauce and complemented by fresh, earthy chanterelle mushrooms. Every bite, from start to finish, was pure joy. Adding to the wonderful atmosphere was the welcoming and friendly hospitality of the staff, which made us feel completely at home. We loved our experience so much that we are already planning a return trip before we leave the city! We can’t recommend Palma enough for a delicious and memorable dining experience.
Palma is a lovely spot in the West Village, though it does run pricey for what you get. Portions are on the smaller side, but the food itself is fresh and well prepared. The skylight patio is especially charming— intimate and cozy, perfect for a date night or small gathering. The overall experience was enjoyable, just not sure if the value stands out enough to become a regular spot.
It was a birthday celebration. The food was delicious fresh taste like Italy. The service was amazing and the servers were knowledgeable of the menu and made sure they checked in. The mushroom fettuccine and the lamb chops were delicious entrees. I also loved the appetizers. I would definitely come back. I wish I took more pics of the food but it was a such a good time. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to do a birthday dinner, good deal for 9 people. With like 3 rounds of drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert was around 1600$ including tip and gratuity for 9 people but of course this will vary on how many people you are with and what you order. Thank you all so much.
The vibes at Palma are unmatched, get ready to get whisked away to a quant little town in Italy! This restaurant came up as having great gluten-free options when I was doing some research for a dinner with some friends. It's rare to find a restaurant that is good at gluten-free pasta but according to my GF friend, the Cacio e Pepe ravioli was amazing. The quality of the ingredients is so clear as you are eating the food and after. I went with the Paccheri all'Astice: the pasta was perfectly al dente and there was a generous amount of lobster which was also cooked to perfection. The sauce is simple yet flavorful and it's everything you could ever want in a seafood pasta. Our server Guillaume was so kind and attentive and we were really treated so well throughout the whole evening. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to all pasta lovers and especially to those with GF diets!
Lunch at Palma Was ABSOLUTELY outstanding! From the welcoming host greeting us when we came in to the flowers surrounding our table and ornate porcelain plates. Every detail makes you feel welcomed and cared for. The food is supremely fantastic with only the best locally sourced ingredients. I highly recommend the Pissaladiere, which is from the French side of the menu a savory Provencal tart and the tiramisu! Buon appetito and Bon appétit!
I'm still dreaming about my incredible dining experience at Palma! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with a warm and inviting decor that made me feel like I was in a little slice of Italy. But what really stole the show was the food - oh, the food! Every dish I tried was expertly prepared and presented, with flavors that danced on my palate. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who knew their stuff. If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience in the city, look no further than Palma. I'll be back, and soon! 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
Palma is one of those rare restaurants where the ambiance and food quality are perfectly in sync. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner or a special night out with friends, this place delivers an incredibly warm, intimate experience. The garden is especially charming—like a secret escape in the middle of the city. Highly recommend ordering a mix of the pastas, the focaccia, and the artichokes. And don’t skip the Tiramisu—it’s the perfect ending to a beautiful meal.
We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and honestly, this Italian restaurant didn’t exactly exceed my expectations. We ordered a lot of dishes, and I was especially looking forward to the Fried Artichoke—it’s what brought us here in the first place. But it ended up being just okay… a bit over-fried and pretty average in flavor. The duck pasta was also a letdown—too salty, and the duck didn’t taste very fresh. Then we had the lamb chops, which were under-seasoned, though the pumpkin puree underneath was surprisingly delicious. The real stars of the meal were actually the seafood dishes. The fried calamari and the salad were so good—totally blew me away. If you come here, don’t miss the seafood. That’s where they shine. One thing I really appreciated was the flowers—every single one of them is real, no fakes. You can tell the owner really puts love into this place. The floral arrangements were absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t help but take a bunch of pictures. My friends loved the decor too—it’s such a photogenic spot, especially for girls. If your girlfriend or bestie has a birthday coming up, this place would definitely make her smile. The interior design is just stunning.
Food is mid and bland for the price ($30+ per dish for small portions) but vibes/atmosphere is good. Mostly vegan and gluten free dairy free options so if you're into that, not bad for dates and special occasions. If just looking for quality Italian food, 100+ other options in the city. It is NYC after all. Wouldn't return again.
Don’t bother with this place! Went for lunch with a friend and the food was quite expensive, very mediocre, service was ok, and the patio wasn’t heated. The inside looked like a tiny coffee shop with lap tops open and people working wasnt very inviting so we sat outside but the heaters didn’t work. Looked like we had walked into a place that should really have been closed for the winter. Reviews are very misleading and I wish we had left when we encountered this energy. NYC has amazing Italian restaurants with great food, service and upbeat ambience, don’t waste your money and time for a subpar experience.
