Goodness was this delicious! I came here with my fiancé and his sister - my first time joining for their longstanding tradition when skiing in Park City. They mentioned that the food was good but nothing could have prepared me for the perfectly cooked prime rib that I enjoyed here. Combined with the red wine and simple baked potato side, I was reminded of how special it is to dine out. There is no way my cooking could come close to this! Happy to have been included this year and am already looking forward to the next time.

Rustic atmosphere, good service, great appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Try the French onion soup you won't be disappointed.

Giving Texas vibes. Loved the band, a great bunch of genuine good guys who made this so solo visit a great evening. The food, portions are huge (could be shared). On the plus side, I had left over meatloaf with my coffee in the morning. First time experience. When I visit Park City again, I will be coming back.

he is very well knowledgeable about the menu. we already knew what we want but he steered us to a better option. He knows a lot about wine and he was able to explain really well about wine structure. which is really important for us. It will be a pleasure that he will be our server again. omsim

The food was very good. My filet tasted a little charred but the prime rib was great. The bread pudding is to die for. I don’t understand why it’s not busy. Will definitely be back.

I came here solo for Thanksgiving dinner, and it was a delightful experience. Their special Thanksgiving menu was delicious and plentiful. I think my favorites were the wild rice and mushroom soup and the bread pudding. My server, Charles, was fantastic, in fact, all of the staff I interacted with and observed seemed friendly and happy to be there, which was kind of infectious. There was live music, which added to the warm and inviting atmosphere.

Everything about this steak house was great! The best steak I've had in a while - made to order, flavorful so no sauce was needed. It comes with a salad and a side and both were also delicious and the portions were large. Free delicious rolls are served while you're waiting for your meal. The atmosphere was neat and cozy, and our waitress was absolutely fantastic!

Everything we ordered was amazing!!! We had the ribeye and tenderloin with a half order of jumbo prawns. The cocktail drinks we ordered were refreshing as well. The service was excellent, Jesse took very good care of us. We are so grateful to have celebrated our first dinner as a married couple here!

Grub Steak in Park City is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty and delicious meal. My recent visit was nothing short of excellent. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The rustic decor, complete with wood accents and cozy lighting, sets the perfect mood for a great dining experience. The menu is impressive, with a wide variety of steak and seafood options. I opted for the New York Strip, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. My wife chose the fresh salmon, which was equally delightful. The sides, including the creamy mashed potatoes and crisp, flavorful vegetables, complemented our main dishes perfectly. One standout feature of Grub Steak is their extensive salad options. It’s a great variety with fresh and tasty options, providing a great start to our meal. The service was top-notch; our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations. The dessert menu is also worth mentioning. We shared the chocolate lava cake, which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Overall, Grub Steak offers a fantastic dining experience with great food, a cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service. It’s definitely a must-visit in Park City!

Amazing food, great atmosphere nice people cordial host became one of my favorites here in the lovely state of Utah the food was absolutely out of this world. Prime rib highly recommended. Charlie was the best server.

Absolutely incredible food and atmosphere. We visited on a Friday evening…so we were able to enjoy a western singer preform live . And he was VERY TALENTED!

We were both craving steak for dinner and wanted to try a new place. Grub Steak made all our steak dreams come true. I ended up having their 32 oz. 2" thick cut Prime Rib. My wife ended up having their Australian Wagyu 9+BMS (highest marbling). We were highly impressed by both meals. Portion sizes did not disappoint. Side options were amazing. I had the loaded Baked Potato and the wife had the creamed spinach. Also, their dinner rolls are amazing. Dense but soft. You will be spending a bit more than normal, but we could have gotten away with Sharing a meal as well, which will justify your dessert cravings. Also, their house salad was surprisingly delicious and came including with fresh snap peas!

They’re not lying when they say the #1 steakhouse in Utah. The food is amazing, they cook the steaks perfectly. The chicken wings are deliciously wonderful. The ranch and blue cheese are made in house and they are both perfect. I’m not even a blue cheese kind of person and I thought it was delectable. The service was really good and professional in a comfortable manner. Live music is always a huge plus. The price is perfect for what the quality. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

If your husband is ever having a bad day just take him to this place for a smoked old fashioned and steak! Easily the best prime rib we have ever had! They age all of their steaks at least 30 days and the prime rib is slow roasted for 18 hours. The mushroom soup starter was the perfect way to warm up. Also no matter how full you are, do NOT leave without having the bread pudding. Between the food and the rustic western vibes (including live music) this is easily our favorite meal in park city.

We went with a party of twelve and had a great variety of dishes, although the flavor was lacking in the potato skins (could use more seasoning). We really liked all of the proteins and the cook on the steak was perfect. One of the desserts had a very tough chocolate base which made it hard to eat.

Everything was amazing! From the decor of the restaurant to the delicious food. For appetizers we ordered Calamari and Jumbo Artichoke. Jumbo Artichoke was bomb! Mushroom soup tasted good too, definitely recommend it as well. I always wanted to try elk (jre;) so I ordered Elk Sirloin, medium done. It was good, nothing wrong with it but I liked the taste of Bison Tenderloin bite I took from my friend more. He had it Medium-Well done… (BISON NOT PICTURED) Would I ever come back? Yes I would.

There were nine of us and everyone was very happy with their food. Prime rib, rib-eye, porterhouse, etc. we’re all excellent. Wait staff was very efficient and friendly. Most plates were $50 or more and were served with soup/salad. The house IPA was maybe a bit different / no one’s favorite but overall a great experience.

We had an absolutely amazing dinner. Well going out to eat during this pandemic is challenging they are definitely doing a great job of keeping things clean and safe but also keeping service at top notch Our server was carinh an outgoing and very attentive. quick service, quick to refill a drink, and making sure everything was prepared to our liking. The steak was absolutely amazing shrimp was tasty with a great texture which you wouldn't think you could get in the middle of Utah and to top it off their fresh bread is phenomenal. we hope to return to Park City and when we do we will absolutely be back

We enjoyed some perfectly cooked prime rib and a lovely cookie and ice cream dessert. Our waiter DJ was amazing and made the experience so enjoyable. We aren't local to this area, so it was tough to figure out where to eat while we were in town. I am glad we chose Grub.

The bison was very nice and my wife said the salmon was good, too. The salad bar is complementary with an entree and had a wide mix of vegetables. Great atmosphere. The price was reasonable for a very good dinner in a resort town.

Best prime rib I've ever had the 36oz bone in. Id been once in the past and couldn't wait to return. Id fly to Utah just to eat at Grub Steak, I did actually. Everyone's meal was excellent!!! Love the live music

Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Be sure to get the breaded pudding, had to be one of the best desserts I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The bread and atmosphere was great as well. The only thing that was below average was the side salad. Everything else made up for it though. Will definitely be coming back. Worth every penny.

Amazing dinner at Grub Steak. We showed up with our ski gear because we were going to the airport afterwards, and the restaurant found a nice spot to store our bags. The wine list is very expensive: we paid almost $60 for a bottle of Rioja. The bison tenderloin was delicious! Highly recommend!

Excellent My husband and I went there on 8/6/2025 David the manager sat us, very nice man. We were undecided on what to have on the great menu. Vicente our server answered our questions and from our chat made suggestions. We had the ribeye and filet cooked to perfection and oh so delicious! Our dinner desert and service was terrific! This place is a through back! Very comfortable clean and low music so you can have conversations. And the manager stopped to see how everything was.No hassle parking! * * * * * for sure!!! We live in Las Vegas

We enjoyed our meal here so much this evening. Everyone and everything was excellent. I had a minor issue with the bill that was handled exceptionally by the server and manager. Thank you to all who made our evening meal wonderful. We've been here many times and we're expecting that we'll be back many more.

Food was absolutely amazing! Service was amazing; the server went above and beyond, helping my grandma walk to the restrooms. The manager, David, was very friendly and personable! Live music added a great atmosphere! Everything was great; I will definitely recommend and be back ASAP!

The steaks were the star of the night - and worth every bite. I ordered the prime rib, which was easily the best cut of meat I’ve had out in months: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My girlfriend had the bone-in ribeye, cooked exactly how she wanted, with rich marbling and a perfect char. Both were exceptional. The appetizers and sides, however, didn’t quite measure up. The crab & artichoke dip was under-seasoned, and the chips couldn’t stand up to the thick sauce. The creamed spinach had good flavor but wasn’t something we’d order again. The baked potato was fine, but a little heavy on sour cream and light on other toppings. Still, when the steaks are this good, the sides become secondary. We’ll definitely be back - next time to explore different apps and sides while once again enjoying some of the best steaks we’ve had in a while.

Linda was our server and she's an absolute standout. Have to give her props for being patient and as gracious as can be with our large party. We come every year because we love the food; it is a major family event and must be every server's nightmare but she treated us so kindly and made sure each of us had a pleasant evening.

Family of 4 (two adults and two teens) on vacation. A little more casual than some of the other high-end steakhouses, but that didn't affect the food. The food and service were great. Buffalo, Elk, Trout all amazing and very fresh. Will definitely will eat there again

I had the New York which was done perfectly (medium rare) the mashed potatoes were very good. The Ceasar salad was ok (lettuce was brown) but tasted good. My dad had the halibut and wasn't overly impressed with it. The 2 ladies had the filets and they were both delicious.

I can not speak highly enough about this restaurant. I set the reservation for 4 and ended up needing to change it to 10 a few days before our visit. They were amazing, working their magic and making room for all 10 of us. Even with a larger group the table placements were great with room between parties. The live music was a perfect touch. The staff was fantastic during our visit, they were so helpful and made suggestions for food and drink choices. The food was spot on. Our group ordered everything from meatloaf, ribs, crab, elk, buffalo, prime rib and the tomahawk steak. Everyone loved their meal and said they would love to come back! Thank you for making our visit memorable.

I'm leaving 5 stars because that's what I do. However, I am sick and tired of showing up thirty minutes early and the doors are locked or being refused service. I can't tell you how many times I'm starving. And I call ahead and they don't answer the phone. I call ahead so that you can start preparing the same meal. That I always get consistently, every single time they don't answer the phone. And I drive across town, they could have had the dinner ready. And I'd eat in about 20 minutes and walk out the door and be gone. And I arrive 30 minutes before closing, and not only will they not answer the phone, but the doors are locked. I'm sick and tired of it. I went to a different steakhouse last night and i'm mad that I can't go to grub.Steak, and this has happened repeatedly over the last few years and I am absolutely sick. And tired of it. If you're open till nine, that means be prepared to be there at least till ten. If you close at nine and i'm calling at eight thirty to let you know.I'm five minutes away, answer the frickin' phone

Very tasty steak, and really good dessert! I believe one of the chefs specializes in pastry. Service was excellent, exactly what you would expect from a fine dining establishment. There was also live music the night we went.

Just what a high end steak house should be. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server came right over and we had a lovely conversation about drink options. My partner and I enjoyed our drinks and the endless salad bar, our server was attentive and made sure all the food arrived at the right moments. The prime rib is wet aged for 30 days, then cooked for 18 hours BEFORE it is hand trimmed. The flavor and texture were unbelievable. I paired it with a Moscow Mule, and we finished off the meal sharing a flourless chocolate cake. We had a really wonderful time. Would highly recommend dinning here.

My experience was hit or miss here. The bread pudding and crème brûlée were amazing. I would come back just to eat the bread pudding, and nothing else. The prime rib was just ok, good not great. The Caesar salad was flavorless and weird, tasted like a vinaigrette and not a traditional Caesar dressing? My baked potato had too much sour cream, which you couldn’t just scrap off because they had already mixed it all in, almost like mashed potatoes that are mostly sour cream. My husband’s mashed potatoes were okay. Got the raw Ahi tuna appetizer, which was also good not great.

I’ve seen a few reviews On YouTube and google so decided to give it a try. We happened to arrive right as they were opening and were the first people to there. They sat us down immediately the waiter was attentive providing us water and explaining the menu. Service was efficient, salads were refreshing and loved the snap peas and carrots. Dinner rolls were amazing! I ordered coffee but it was cold the waiter immediately brought me another one, but it showed up like warm. Hot drinks should be hot so I just let it go after that. The food was delicious. We eat steak weekly so honestly I couldn’t say it’s the best steak I’ve ever tasted but it was a good steak. Next time I’ll get rare instead of medium rare because it was a little too dry for me. Don’t get me wrong the steak was good but for my liking rare would be better. There was a lady who to pick up plates. I could feel her watching me and I wasn’t done with my salad and she wanted to take my plate and I said not yet nicely, then I saw her watching me and on my last bite rushed to to take the plates. I personally don’t like that but she was nice just didn’t like being watched and rushed. Other than that it was a great meal, great service and 10 minutes after arriving the restaurant filled up quickly showing it was a popular place especially for families. I would consider come back.

While this is not a fine dining experience, it's a good dinner for a fair price. It's refreshingly not as upscale as Main Street tries to be nowadays and it is definitely kids-friendly. The service was very professional, the Prime Rib delicious, the Filet a little undercooked, the Chocolate Cake was very rich and the Cheesecake way better than expected. Good selection of wines too. We will visit again...

Very fun atmosphere. There's a live band that is broadcast throughout the restaurant. the restaurant is very large and the tables are spaced nicely. The bread was delicious, the appetizers were very good, but my steak was a little bit dry. If you're looking at getting one of the tenderloins, I'd recommend getting the grass fed one. It comes with the pesto sauce. The service was great, our waitress was very good.

Food was fantastic, esp Ribeye and King Crab. Bread pudding alone was worth the trip. Buffalo steak should carry a warning g that it only feeds a 4 yr old. My son was pretty disappointed in his $50 steak that was as small as the palm of his hand. Other portions were good. Live country music on weekend was a fun. A little pricey for the food quality. Service was excellent and speedy.

Their rolls are so so good. I think it was just an off night for my steak order, I ordered a tenderloin beef filet, medium, and it was definitely medium rare and tough, but my husband's Bison steak was perfect. The service was awesome, such a lovely waitress, and the live music was really fun. I'd give them another chance as far as steaks go. The dessert was AMAZING. They brought out a whole platter of the actual desserts for you to choose from, and we got ice cream with cookies, the strawberry ice cream was phenomenal, and the ice cream cake (mocha ice cream, Oreo crust base).

Vincente was our server and was great! He had good table side presence, gave suggestions, was funny and engaged in conversation, very pleasant, he was also very attentive to anything we needed... including helping me clean my spilled tea and getting me a new one. He was wonderful. The setting was great and there was live music. We had the tomahawk. Don't know what was different but it was better last time. Wasn't "bad" this time just better last time. All in all was a great experience and we will come back again. Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes Vincente!

Came in with a few buddies after a day on the hill Server was super sweet & did a great job on the initial ordering & then the rest of the staff took over The entire staff spent 1/2 the night asking if they could clear the table, MID BITE ON THE ARTICHOKE & they were pulling the plate. I asked them to stop & let me finish & the entrees were arriving, was rushed through the entire $507.00 meal. Horrible etiquette for people who want to enjoy a meal Crab artichoke dip - slop, greasy & a poor attempt at a classic appetizer, too much cream cheese &!not nearly enough crab for the price, tortilla chips were cold & unseasoned Artichoke - undercooked, there is a proper method to cooking these & to be able to remove the fine silk on the inside of the choke, dipping sauce needed to be seasoned & the choke should have been cooked longer, tough to eat & raven harder when they’re pulling the plates of unfinished food Mushrooms - get rid of the jarred garlic Creamed spinach - frozen & out of a box. 3 ozs of creamed spinach with breadcrumbs & a pool of grease on the edge Caesar - not a bad salad Ny strip steak - cooked longer on one side then the other, left in one spot for too long (hence the 1/2 assed grill marks) Hollandaise, right out of a box. Knorr should be embarrassed Prime rib- the worst part of the meal, a horrific cut, loaded with gristle & the meat was stringy & super chewy… this was either a Sysco cooked prime rib or an embarrassment form the “chef” or whoever this person is teaching Lamb - cooked well & seasoned well Filet - mediocre Mocha cake was still frozen when we received it, need a knife to cut through the almost 1/2” thick frozen Oreo crust Flourless cake good flavor

Have gone there in the past a few times. It's very obvious that the original owners have sold out to someone that charges high prices and provides poor quality food. Steaks were extremely high priced and poor fatty quality. The prime rib was so tendor it would cut with a fork but tasted like mush.

C
Chelsie Boehme

I had high expectations for this place after researching a good place for a steak. For the price, it was disappointing. The steak was cold and not cooked as ordered. You have to pay extra for gravy for your mashed potatoes & the salad bar was not worth an extra 7.50. Very mediocre for a salad bar. What was really disappointing was the creme brule. The flavor was off and it was curdled. The service was great. But overall definitely not worth the price.

We’ve dined at Grubsteak before with a large group and had a great experience. But when we made reservations for just the two of us, we were treated like background noise. They seated us in a walkway by the salad bar, and when we asked to move, we were told the other empty tables were reserved. It was clear *our* reservation and comfort didn’t matter, so we left without ordering. I guess it’s only worth going if you’re part of a big group or considered important enough for a “special” reservation.

L
Laura Walters

I ordered the filet which was grainy and required quite a bit of chewing. I also added the Oscar. The king crab was not sweet but rather fishy tasting, quite unappealing under a thick non.buttery hollandaise. I ate maybe 3/8 oz and scraped off the crab meat. My husband had the salmon. We both agreed both pieces of meat were under seasoned. Overall I felt I spent $158 plus $30 típ on a good baked potato and margarita. Very disappointed. Service was good but if the waiter had inquired about food quality, I would have told him. After the main course came he kind of checked out on checking in. For something that looked so good, it was all presentation but not quality.

C
Christine DiProspero

Grub Steak used to be a favorite. Have not been there for a few years. Had dinner there last night and was very disappointed. My husband and I ordered the Prime rib. 8 ounce and 12 ounce. The 12 ounce was the size of my 8 oz. My medium prime rib was very red and full of fat. The supposedly 12 oz. Was supposed to be medium well, but was very over cooked. (I make much better Prime Rib at home). Baked potato was luke warm. Only 1 1/2 pats of butter per diner. We will not recommend Grub Steak to anyone and have no desire to re-visit.

L
Lindsey Hobbs

I was served rotten apple juice from the start. My waitress was kind but too honest if that makes since. They were out of supplies and low on food. We felt uncomfortable. Sad Valentine's date. They offered to discount dinner but for the price we couldn't risk it. Quality wasn't there. Atmosphere was off. We did have reservations.

E
Emily Marshall

The steak was gross, tasteless, and overcooked. All I could taste was burnt meat. So if you like the taste of charred meat this is the place for you. Maybe add some butter or salt to your meat? I’ve had better tasting steak at Texas Roadhouse for much much cheaper. Definitely not worth the money. Our friend’s steak was basically jerky. Both of us asked for our steaks cooked medium so definitely shouldn’t be overdone. Mashed potatoes and lamb chops were fine. When asked, I mentioned my steak was a little over done. Our waiter asked if I wanted it remade, but recooking it wouldn’t fix the tasteless meat and I’m sure it would still be charred on the outside since that’s how all three of our steaks came out. Our waiter was nice and took 50% off my steak which I didn’t ask for, but was appreciated. BUT, then he ran after us once we had paid and left the restaurant, already half way to our car, to tell us we didn’t tip him enough. That alone turned me off from coming back. Not very classy to chase after your customer. He didn’t fill our drinks up once which is bare minimum for a server in my opinion. Between the two couples at our table he had a decent tip for the service provided. I don’t know what he was expecting. Running after us after we’ve left isn’t going to make me want to pay you an extra $5 you think you deserve. Won’t be back again and definitely won’t recommend to anyone. If you go definitely get something other than steak which is unfortunate since it’s a steak house.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Park City. Great for a spinach salad with warm bacon dressing, an overstuffed baked potato and a big ol' chunk of red meat. Imagine my surprise after ten plus years to return to the scene of the crime to discover such absolute mediocrity. The overpriced salad bar is an about on par with your average half-abandoned Sizzler. The rare prime rib was the right color, but the texture was dry and stringy as if it was well-done. Wife's ribs were like thawed out Applebees leftovers. Sides were atrocious. I'm going to be tasting this meal for days - and not in a good way. The old fashioned was excellent. $185.00 with tip. Just... don't.
