Great experience and food, I went and sat at the bar. I ordered the Chiken Marsala with Mixed Vegetables and Garlic Green Beans. The service was very good for there being 1 bartender and a pretty stacked bar. The food was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly while keeping the juicy tenderness. The Vegetables all had a great flavor and kept the flavor lively without being too overbearing. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

All of 6 of us at casa Mia’s have some a delicious dinner at casa Mia’s it is really good and delicious food we even had in this restaurant

We had a great first experience here! The food was amazing. Hubby had crab cakes and I had lasagna. He is never impressed with anyone’s crab cakes except G&M’s but when he tried these ones, he was shocked they actually compared! I couldn’t believe I was hearing that lol. And my lasagna was HUGE. They had nice portions for the kids meal as well. The manager came up to us to ask how our food was and chatted. And our waitress even treated us to extras on the house. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

Great hangout for watching sports or spending an intimate evening with friends and family. There is a large bar area as well as a separate dining area with a fireplace. There is also a dining room in the back for private parties. They also have outdoor patio dining! Food is always great! They have daily food specials and run happy hour during the week. Crab cakes are top notch!

Best brunch around on Sunday mornings. You can't go wrong with whatever you order for lunch or dinner. The crab cakes and cream a crab are the best around.

Only been here once but I hear it's the best place to eat in that section of Baltimore County. We sat at the bar on a busy Saturday night but still received great service. They also have a retail store for alcohol.

Had lunch at Casa Mia's way out York Rd. today with my good friend Patti. I had the shrimp salad sandwich and she had chicken salad sandwich. For dessert we split a piece of pumpkin cheesecake. The food was delicious. They offered outdoor and indoor dining. When we got there it was a little too cool to eat outside so we dined in. It's a very clean large dining room. The waitress was very attentive to us.

Great service. We'll made Okd Fashioned to start. Delicious herbed mussels. Arugula on the veal Milanese was a perfect addition.

Stopped by for lunch and it was pretty empty but did fill up quickly as the lunch rush came in. We got seated right away and the server came pretty soon after to take our drink order. He was very attentive throughout our dining service. The restaurant is big and has several walk through dining areas including some outside. Great for larger parties and families! There is also a bar area up front for smaller or individual parties. I ordered the crab cake sandwich which from having the crab cake platter, I prefer the sandwich version. I also got the cream of crab soup which was delicious with some lump pieces of crab meat. Not too thick or too thin either! We also got a plate of fried pickles and it was not my favorite as they do it in spear form so the breading kind of slides off from the first bite. Chips would be preferred. The calamari however was the complete opposite! Really light batter fried perfectly with peppers!! Highly recommend!

We ordered the crab cakes Monday night special. I have to say they are absolutely delicious and full of crab meat .I'd say 95% crab . Just wow. And that's why you will not see it in my pictures .just so good I ate it all before I took the picture. Excellent. I highly recommend crab cakes.

A family friend recommended this place about a year ago and we finally got the chance to try it out on our way back home from an Orioles game. I wasn't sure if this would be a good place to grab dinner until we pulled into the parking lot and it was jam packed! That alone told me the food was probably going to be pretty good! As we walked in the tables were packed and the bar was full of people. We were seated immediately. I ordered the colossal crab cakes (two 8oz.) with two sides sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. WOW! Just WOW! Other than my wife's these are by far the best crab cakes I have ever eaten anywhere! Super tasty, filling and no skimping on the crab meat. The chunks of crab meat were huge and melted in your mouth! The sautéed spinach was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the roasted potatoes were browned to perfection! I can't wait to return to this incredible gem of a restaurant the next chance I get!

We had a fantastic first experience last night! It was a busy Friday evening, so we were sure to make a reservation online. The parking lot was huge, but only a few spots were open - reservations are necessary! We were seated right away & our server, Heather, was so kind & welcoming! She gave great suggestions and was always available, even given how busy they were. We ordered Parmesan truffle fries, a side salad, and a meat pizza. Everything was SO good. Don’t sleep on that House Creamy Dill Dressing - 🤤YUM Our wait for food was pretty long, but our waitress was on top of our drinks & we were out of the building within 1 hour & 15 mins. We will definitely be back! We want to come on a Tues for Pasta specials & try the Cajun pasta & Chicken Parm!

AMAZING doesn't do them justice. We just had them cater a party and they were incredible. I have never gotten so many compliments on the food. Chris, one of the owners goes above and beyond. We absolutely love the restaurant and the catering is out of this world. Do yourself a favor, the next party or event you have call Casa Mia's. Everyone will be talking about it!

100% 5 stars for the crab cakes. They were our favorite of the trip. All meat- no filler. Broiled to perfection and great taste. Unfortunately they are on the pricier range of all crab cakes. Service was great. They offer outdoor seating. We went at 5 pm on a Friday night and there was no wait. Cream of crab soup had a nice flavor but very heavy on the cream- almost more of a sip consistency.

Far away from the city, tucked away in the country side of Baltimore Co. Fresh food, wonderful hospitality. No high brow. Portions actually fit the whole plate (as good food always should). Nice selection of Craft Beer. Love this place!

We were greeted promptly and seated even though we showed up half hour early for our reservation. Mike, our server, also greeted promptly. We enjoyed the Greek salad, tossed salad, Casa Pasta and the Elle imperial. Everything was made to perfection and delicious. Thank you!

It has a very diverse menu amazing crab cakes 10/10 however I would not recommend the Alfredo because it had fennel seeds In it but other than that great staff and overall restaurant

This pleasant bar and grill was one of the few places open on a holiday afternoon in this area. We were seated quickly and the waiter provided several recommendations. Eventually we went with the chicken gia and the chicken Chesapeake, both of which were cooked just right, very juicy and full of flavor. The Chesapeake was a seared chicken breast sandwich wi the a bit of crab dip and provolone. The Gia was Covered with a dob of mozzarella and red peppers -this pesto infused chicken breast was amazing. Both were served on a brioche that was very fresh and with a side of fries that we could not stop eating. This was a great meal and i am sure you would be hard pressed to find a bad one here.

First time diner. Broccoli, the way I love it: crunchy, slightly north of al dente, deliciously creamy cold slaw, and the crabcake was simply divine, very filler, tender, large fresh jumbo lump crab. What a meal! I'll be back with my bride!

Passed by one afternoon heading to a fishing spot so I took my family and in-laws to dinner later that day. What a great decision it was! The restaurant can get loud, so be prepared for that. The food and service is top notch. The crab dip was great, chunks of crab, hot and plenty to go around. My wife and MIL both ordered the crab cakes and they were thoroughly impressed. Both said despite being a large crab cake, it was fluffy, strong amounts of crab as well. The portions were large, risotto was spectacular and the burger was also solid. Our server was great, very on top of things. Will be back very, very soon!

Good food, good people, what's not to like! Thanks to George, Mike and their team! Caesar chicken wrap, burger, pizza, subs, I've had them all and it's all good! Thanks Casa Mia's!!

The jumbo lump crab cake was sooo good! Low on fill and a lot of whole crab meat. Grilled, fresh veggies made for such a great meal.

N

Great food. Cheesesteak was plentiful, well cooked, not overly greasy. Crispy fries. Had a side salad, it was a typical salad, nothing special, little skimpy, to me, side for the price. Indoor seating is in a bar type area, which can be a bit loud. They had a musical act setting up, and that, in the smaller area, felt like it was going to be too loud for me, so we finished quickly and left prior to him starting.

My husband and I have been to casa Mia’s a few times and we have always enjoyed it. We took our toddler for the first time and we were blown away by how friendly everyone was with her. The manager, waitress, even the band were all smiling and engaging with her! As a result, she was happy and smiling the whole time, which made our meal infinitely more enjoyable. Highly recommend for families and couples alike!

They have really good specials throughout the week and a special on Saturdays. I got the Gyro, it was good minus the olives in the tiziki sauce. My wife got the Cajun chicken penne pasta. She said it was absolutely amazing.

This is a busy local bar, package goods, and eatery. We came here on a Wednesday night ( steak night ) . Service was very good and personable. Even with a large crowd, there was plenty of seating we sat at the bar. Our food was good with appetizers entrees and drinks. The only surprise we had was the steak on special was a great sized portion. They have other special nights besides the steak night.

Overall was an okay experience. Service was mediocre. The meatballs and crab-cake were great. The seafood salad was a bit underwhelming, I recommend choosing a salad and adding a crab-cake. House creamy dill dressing was okay, but I feel like it is lacking a little flavor. I still recommend this place, I hear the burgers are awesome.

This is a good place. There were not enough servers, and things took a little longer than expected. Our server, Felicity, did a great job, though some customers were rude to her. Good job Felicity.

Pictures are not my best. Food was good. Service was great. Food choices were good. Prices reasonable, but some items were $$. Atmosphere was loud in bar area. I'd go back again :)

TLDR: Solid lunch choice in the Hereford zone. Come for the reasonably priced drinks and crab cakes. Vibe: 4/5. Growing up in the area, I have watched Casa Mia's evolve from the predominately bar focused Pioneer Pub, to the more restaurant vibe Casa Mia's. The restaurant underwent a significant renovation when they rebranded, so the interior and exterior are fairly new. The restaurant has several dining areas including a bar, dining room and shaded back patio. Upon entry, the large U shaped bar area is the first thing you see, complete with a handful of TVs playing sports and KENO. To the right and towards the back of the restaurant you have 2 dining room areas that have both 4 top and 6 top tables. The back patio is accessed from another door at the rear of the restaurant, and is complete with a canopy, fans and heaters for the colder months. The day we dined in for lunch, we opted to first sit outside, but immediately changed our minds when we were bombarded with flies. The staff was more than happy to reseat us at a 6 top in the dining area adjacent to the bar. The restaurant seemed clean and all amenities maintained, nothing to complain about! Service: 5/5. The staff at Casa Mia's were great from start to finish. We had made reservations for our party of 6 for lunch, however they were not needed. We were seated immediately, with drink orders taken not too long after that. The bar was out of a few things to make specific specialty cocktails, but the waitress was more than helpful in making alternative recommendations. Both food and drinks came out punctually as well as all together for everyone at the table. Overall, a well executed, friendly service! Food and Drink: 4/5. My party dined for lunch during Baltimore Restaurant Week so they were running a 3 course Prix Fixe special, which included their infamous crab cakes. Casa Mia's openly flaunts their crab cake superiority complex, so being a born and bred Marylander, I had to put them to the test. I opted for the cream of crab soup for my starter, the crab cake w/ fries and cole slaw for my main and the lemon berry mascarpone cake for dessert. The cream of crab was a bit of a let down. The cream based soup was on the watery side, with only a few solid bites of crab to be found. Seasoning was also lacking, even after a few heavy shakes of Old Bay. Other diners at my table decided to go with the peppered ahi tuna appetizer, which seemed to fair much better. Next up, the main event, the "World Famous" Casa Mia's crab cake. The 6 oz cake did just fine passing the Maryland crab cake test. Decent sized backfin lumps with barely any filler, seasoned nicely and broiled to a golden brown. Is it the end all be all of crab cakes in Maryland? Probably, not *Cough, Faidley's, Cough*, but it was certainly enjoyable. Finally for dessert, the lemon mascapone was the sleeper pick, as it was a fantastic piece of cake that was the perfect ending to our meal. Delicate layers of cake complimented the airy marscapone cheese which carried a subtle taste of lemon and berry. Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their lunches, and at $33 +/- per person, it was money well spent. Casa Mia's bar program was also a win. Their specialty cocktails were well balanced and reasonably priced. If you ever find yourself feeling peckish in the Hereford Zone, I highly suggest swinging by Casa Mia's for a bite and a pint!

Casa Mia's is our go to when we meet our PA friends. Very laid back atmosphere and very good food. Always pleased with our food choices, portions and price. The only negative is the slow service. The last time we met some friends there we didn't get our first drink order in for a good 10-20 minutes after being seated. Then had to wave down our server for just about every drink order after that because they were chatting it up with another table. Definitely not a deal breaker though.

The food was great! The server was very attentive friendly. The only issue I have is that at the end of lunch my grandson barely touched his meal so we got to go box. The server even took out a brownie for him to take home. But when we had to use the restroom and ask them if it would be okay if we left our food on the table they said yes only to come back to the table and find out that they had thrown out all my grandsons food and his brownie I realize this sounds Petty

2025 Went to Casa Mia's Restaurant to celebrate my daughter's and my birthdays in September. On a Friday night and my wife forgot to make reservations. Oops! When we arrived there were cars parked on the side of York Road, maybe 20-25 of them. Ouch! We were lucky to grab a parking spot as someone left. My daughter went in to check on how long the wait was - and they found a table for the four of us. Needless to say it was busy... and loud with live music almost deafening. We were brought menus and waters. My wife, a friend, and youngest daughter had joined the birthday team. Three of the four girls had not tasted "real" Maryland crab cakes before, so we ordered one as an appetizer. After a bit it came and was divided for each to try. They loved it! So the four girls each ordered the Crab Cake meal and I had my eye on the Prime Rib, on weekend menu. After a wait, the meals came. The Crab Cakes came with side salads or fries. My Prime Rib came with Loaded Baked Potato and Asparagus, with horseradish on the side. The Crab Cakes were great! All the girls loved them. My Prime Rib was a different story. It was tough, many tendon(?) strings through it all that were very difficult to cut through. Now a little fat is great for flavor, but this Prime Rib was half see pic) gristle & fat. And there was no flavor to meat that was there. What I could eat, I had to salt & pepper to get any taste. Absolutely the worst Prime Rib I have ever been served. And of course we had to have dessert to celebrate the birthdays. We ordered an chocolate peanut butter pie and It was an excellent. The music was too loud to have conversations and tables having conversations talked loudly over the music, which made it even noisier! So if you love Maryland Crab Cakes, no place does it better. But stick with what they are famous for, otherwise take your chances. And if you want conversations, don't come on weekend evenings. 2024 *********************************************** Visiting family near Parkton, MD. Brother-in-law picked us up at Harrisburg airport. On the way to farm, knowing my wife’s devotion to Maryland Crab Cakes, he drove us here first. We were seated right away, with menus and waters. My wife and brother of course had the Crab Cakes, each with side salad. Wife also had Creamed Spinach and brother had Fries. I selected Blackened Salmon with side salad and Creamed Spinach. Our salads came quickly. Greek for wife, Caesar for Bro and Tossed for me. The salads were chilled, fresh and perfect start. Soon our meals arrived. My Salmon was not spicy so I requested a small dish of cayenne pepper to zest it up just right. The Creamed Spinach was great. Now the biggest smile came on my wife’s face when she tasted the Crab Cake. She just never finds crab cakes that compare - anywhere. It was filled with big chunks of backfin meat. She offered me a bite and I was sold! Fantastic. I guess I had not previously had great crab cakes but from now own I will follow her lead. Good service, good atmosphere and great food. This place is well worth a visit.

Menu has changed some. Everything was salty. The mussels were good. The risotto was good and the capers in my chicken picata overpowered the sauce. We had to ask for drink refills on a very busy Thursday night.

C
Cee Haynes

Changes to menu have made it less enjoyable to us. The shoestring French fries are tasteless, carrots are gone, the mashed potatoes are pure garlic and the spinach, and mixed veggies (zucchini ) are disgusting. Makes having a nice dinner virtually impossible. So sad, this was a go to.

Todd Bonicker

We ordered carryout and were given a time to pick up. Even though we arrived at the beginning of our pickup window, the food was sitting out in an open bag and all 3 orders were cold. There was no staff in the pickup area and we had to wait 10 minutes before someone arrived. Got the veal sandwich, chicken Chesapeake sandwich and grilled tuna sandwich. Veal was flavorless, tuna was overcooked and chewy, the chicken was the best dish of the 3. Fries were cold and seemed old. We're not rushing back, but might give it another try sometime.

Disappointed they changed the crab cake recipe. Peppery mushy. Crab balls were perfect! Not so the crab cakes. Will never order again. I had to mix it up with mashed potatoes to eat it and now have indigestion from whatever was in them.

L
Lauren van Dam

I love casa mias. I’ve come here a bunch. But SO disappointed in their mozzarella sticks 🥲 like this was $12 for three tiny mozzarella triangles… They said that they’ve changed their recipe but that does not justify this. I can buy a whole bag of mozzarella sticks for $12.

M
Mary Freburger

Crab soup was lukewarm. I asked the waiter if the veal used for the veal sub was fresh or frozen. His answer “ it’s hand breaded.” When asked if it was served with ‘hots’ he confirmed that it was. Not only was it not breaded and not served with hots, it was tough, tasteless and served with bar-b-que sauce. A complete waste of money. Service was inattentive and poorly informed.

K
Karen Follett

The crab cakes did have a few lumps in it but not sure it was really 8 oz. Looked more like the 6 oz but payed for thr 8 oz. They were alright. Not worth going back for. Definately have filler in them Now stay away from the parmesan risotto. It was rice not risotto with a season packet that was like chicken soup. Not parmesan. The floors were wonky and uneven. Be careful not to trip. More of a bar than a quality restaurant.

M
Marie Garrett

Recently started using metal trays instead of dishes. Not very appealing for a "restaurant". Food seems "overcooked" recently. Also, portions seem smaller. Very disappointing.

j

The food was decent, but the service really affected our experience—especially with family visiting from out of town. Our waitress seemed stressed, rushed us to order, and didn’t engage at all. The menu said 2 lobster tails for $25, but we only received one. When we asked, she just said she told the manager—no apology, no explanation. Disappointing overall.

S
Shari Beshore

Was one of our favorite places, in the past. We won’t go back. Yesterday the place was so cold we needed to get coats from our car. The food was dry, my husband had to ask for mayonnaise in order to make it palatable. The lasagna was dry, no sauce around it, as it is usually presented. We were the only people seated in the dining room by the unlit fireplace. Our waitress was the worst ever. She did not check on us and eventually I sat with my hand raised for six minutes until the hostess returned to her stand and told the waitress to check on us. Save yourself the frustration and money.

G

I ordered a veal sub which said in the description, mozzarella, arugula and roasted peppers. What I got was a dry piece of veal with a slab of American cheese, lettuce and a strip of raw pepper. Ordered fries to be cooked crispy. Fries were uncooked! Got home and could not believe how bad this sub turned out. None of it matched the description. Very disappointment, again. I try to give these restaurants the benefit but they continue to disappoint! No more Casa Mia for me!

P
Peter Senica

Had lunch or least I tried to have lunch there today. They had no vegetarian option on their lunch menu unless they were hiding it somwhere in the fine print. So I opted for the Blackened Tuna Sandwich. It was just horrible. Hard and dry as a rock and it had a metallic flavor (rancid/old oil maybe?). I told the waitress who btw was very nice and friendly. She offered to replace it with something else which I politely declined (you never know what an angry cook can do to your substitute meal). At the end the waitress arranged for a partial discount on my bill which was fair since I finished the fries. I don't think I will return to this place, however, since this is not the first time it didn't meet reasonable expectations. The stars go to the waitress.

A

I ordered their seafood salad for $23. It was an expensive bowl of lettuce with just 3 small shrimp, 3 pieces of crabmeat, 3 baby tomatoes and a sliver of green pepper. Thankfully my husband and granddaughter shared their meals with me. Never again.

S
Stacy Kripas

Awful. Just had take out from this restaurant and it was a huge waste of money. Kids French fries were either very over cooked or old. Crab dip had so much garlic no one could eat it. Cheesesteak egg rolls over cooked, so hard can’t even bite them. Cheesesteaks over seasoned as well and inedible.

We arrived 15 minutes early and had to park on the side road as lot was full. Only one hostess and she was swamped. We were seated on time but waited for nearly 20 minutes, waitress walked past our table three times, never said a word to us. We left and will never go back!

Don’t usually post reviews but I feel the need to warn others since last night bothered me so much. First time here and won’t be returning. Had reservations in the back dining room and we were the only table in there at the time. Our server was HORRIBLE. I honestly don’t know where to even start and I am still flabbergasted. The whole time she was acting like we were a total inconvenience even after apologizing for making her do her job! Everytime we asked question (nicely) she rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed and was acting like we were again a total inconvenience. It was my birthday dinner so I was trying to make the best of it but after my burger came out raw after asking nicely for it to be well done I was too afraid to even say anything to her about it so I ate it and unfortunately had to immediately use the restroom since it was undercooked. We were in the Helen’s laying our bill and this time there was one other table in the room with us who has another server which I wished we had instead of girl. We asked for a refill on our drink and again she rolled her eyes and was like okay you want it to go ? And we’re like um no ? Can we just sit here while we wait for our bill and drink it?? Again horrible service. Never again.
