BMPP was great place to get pizza! I made my order self pickup since I had lot of guest and live near by! I also met the owner and very cool guy and over all, my guest enjoy the pizza from BMPP! Matter of fact, I will order my pizza for Dodgers MLB playoff & for the UFC event! 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 🎊 🌟 🤩 ⭐️ 🌠 💫
I got a slice—it’s so big they cut it into four pieces. If you’re looking for European-style pizza, this is the place. Very tasty. I’ll definitely come back here again.
Biggest pizza slice I have ever had. Each slice was cut up into 4 sub-slices. The crust was amazing too, on the thinner side and perfectly crispy and crunchy. They did not hold back on the toppings either, really delicious. The owner was also very nice, he gave me a free bottle of water after I asked for a cup.
They are always very kind and make everything fresh. They handmake their pasta each morning, so if you want pasta, best either call to check if they have any left or go early. Their food has yet to disappoint.
Time to update my review of Big Mama's and Papa's Pizza on East Colorado boulevard in Pasadena (see old review below). I've been enjoying the great food from this location for a long time. Very convenient location near the corner of Colorado Boulevard and Allen Avenue. Extensive eclectic menu featuring appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas and desserts. I like their chicken wings, chicken tenders, garlic bread with cheese, hand-tossed all-meat pizza, and Mexican pizza. They have everything from slices to their famous gigantic pizza. Some items on the menu must be ordered in advance. Pies customizable with different crusts & toppings. The selection of sandwiches includes their famous Philly Cheesesteak. My personal favorite dessert is their Tiramisu. They have some tables inside to accommodate customers. There is pick up available from either the front along Colorado Boulevard or from their rear parking lot. With such an extensive menu you can always find something good! I seem to order their pastas and calzones the most. The place is now Under New Management so I'm expecting some great changes. I was told that they will do some remodeling and look forward to that happening soon. Parking available on the street or around by the rear entrance.
The best pizza in town ! Get yourself a pizza here they have the greatest flavors. I had a large pizza and was good for 3 people who were very hungry. Attached are some demolished pizza. Delish. ! I will be back for more. The staff are very friendly and to be honest their menu could get a good update 👌👍 .
They were right, one of the best pizzas in town
Been going here for many years. These guys are great! They take care of their customers. Great pizzas!
Personally I love it all. For 9 years I've loved it

Really good pizza 🍕
Always delicious!
Fast and friendly.
Wonderful
Food, pizza, is good
This pizza is good and the slices are huge. Get ready to eat real good. Enjoy and Come back soon.
What a joy to have my favorite thing at BM&P's, the Khachapuri. For some silly reason they now call it an Egg Gondola Pizza. SO delicious!
Literally blew my expectations for big mamas and papas. I highly recommend buying the best pizza from here.
😋Yummy sweet chili wings & the super thin crust pizza with veggies is my all time fav. Thx Big Magma & Big PaPa😘
This place is right out of New York, including the staff. The pizza is awsome
Great fast service best pizza I've ever had
The food was excellent, and they have a very friendly staff.
Great pizza, very friendly staff.. Thank you
Had a Spanish pizza that was delicious, you get what you pay for.
1ST OF ALL GREAT CUSTOMERS SERVICE BY THE CHEF & HE COOKED A GREAT PIZZA
expensive but tasty pizza. It is big, however extra topic is a lot of $$$.
Extremely good wings, without being prohibitively expensive , I recommend 3rd degree sauce, it's not too hot. More than solid pizza, specialty pizzas are especially satisfying... huge selection of toppings is a fun bonus as well.
Really really good! Ate here today, tried the baked ziti and the stuffed shells. Both were great, and a really good value. Will be eating here anytime I need my pasta fix at work!
The service was great and the food really hit the spot. I like their creative pizza shapes.

This is the BEST 🍕 PIZZA!!! The gentlemen that have taken my phone orders and their delivery guy NICE PEOPLE!! I have yet to try other items on their menu... but I plan too😋
The place can be easy to miss, but once inside, you won't regret it. Great tasting pizza! Nice portions. Service was good too. Definitely recommend.

This pizza chain is famous for its Big Papa/Mama pizzas for parties. I got their one topping special and it was ok but nothing special compared to other pizza places. My order was on time and the guy up front was friendly. Street parking only next to Lucky Baldwins Pub.
great food and fast delivery time...
Good 🍕 but this area has so many pizzerias to choose from. This one doesn't stand out...
Good for their giant pizzas that can feed an army. Actual flavor isn't anything impeccable, but if you're having 30 people over you're set with one of these pizzas. Make sure you go with your station wagon or truck...or if you have a U-haul lying around that won't hurt either.
Really enjoyed the pizza here, but it is a little bit pricey. Called in my order and picked it up and didn’t have any problems. Will definitely order again.
They're pizza is great! It's not the best pizza, but it's really really delicious. What makes them stand out is the size of one slice. They don't serve their slices on plates, more like metal trays haha.
I have never had a bad pie here. Especially well known for for their famous Giant Sicillian pizzas that are great for parties. After visiting under new management the food is still great.
The pizza here is excellent. Brought my niece here for her birthday and 6 of her 12 year old friends. I called before hand and they were kind enough to reserve a table for us. Its small inside so many people just order to go. The sauce on pizza is great a lot of flavor and the options you have for pizza are great- you know its a good place when the kids were excited and could not stop talking about how great the pizza was. Coming back again.

Food was very middle of the road. Tried so much. Pizzas was okay. Crust felt premade. Pizza was mid level and cheese settled very plastic like (see pic). Wings were middle of the road. My son had the chicken Alfredo. Sauce lacked flavor. Prices were HIGH!! Great atmosphere though. Felt like a really cool New York pizza shop. Staff were awesome too.
Saw pics of the pizzas so I decided to come down. Got a big slice of pizza but it's actually super thin and combined with a drink it was 10 bucks. A slice of combo from Costco plus a drink beats this for only 2.50 but obviously restaurants need to charge more than Costco but I feel like this combo should be 5-6 bucks not 10. The pizza itself resembled the square pizzas served during grade school. It's not bad or good just feels like for the price it should have been more.
Pizza looks better than tastes
Nice, can be tried once in a while.
They are never in time!
Had a Pan Pizza, not bad, but certainly not worth the money. The crust did not even feel like Pan Pizza. Would take Domino's over this anyday
Pretty good...I paid close to 70 dollars for 3 pizzas. I wouldn't go there every weekend, maybe once every 3 months
Their pizza is definitely better than the Papa John's I usually get. The crust is tastier and they have many more options for toppings. The huge size options are great for parties. Having said all of that, Papa John's is basically half the price after discounts, and they have better service: the website is easier to use, it takes less time to get your pizza, and PJ's won't run out of the right size of box for your pizza.
Yummy pizza, but apparently, they close at 8 pm instead of 9 pm based on the last two times I've been there. I was recently turned away at 8:25 after trying to order a slice. "Sorry, oven is turned off. " Yeah, OK. I'm transgender BTW.
The Philly Cheesesteak pizza was okay but could use more meat, and it would be better with grilled onions instead of thinly sluced raw red onion.
They don't have slices readily available to sell after about 1 pm because of the lunch rush. So you end up with a small personal pizza instead. Decent taste. Not like it used to be.
I had a surprisingly good pizza here a few months ago. Tonight I ordered directly through their website for delivery. I wanted a calzone but on the first menu tab I clicked, I couldn't find it as an option. I did a search and a different menu section came up. They said delivery could be 55 minutes, but it was super fast. I got it in like 20 minutes. The calzone was lackluster. It was very thin and had no ricotta inside as it should have. Also, I ordered a caesar salad with caesar dressing but got ranch, and not enough at that. There was very little dressing in the container especially to the ratio of salad. So, I might order again but not sure on the calzone.

The Big Mama's in Burbank is the best. Not all Big Mama's are the same. I went here and the pizza was okay but it didn't taste like all the other Mama's that I have tasted. Also, if you like ranch on your pizza then do not get it here. Their ranch tasted like straight Mayo. I ordered several with my pizza and I didn't eat any of them, neither did my wife. We both noticed that it tasted nothing like ranch. If im in this area again and I want pizza then I'm going to have to look for another place, or wait until I get back to Burbank.
Beverage machine out of service, so had to purchase bottle water that came from Costco, no mozzarella so couldn't order caprese salad, no plates for salad, served in carryout containers. This was a Wednesday. Eagle Rock Big Mama better.
I come from Chicago so I have high standards for pizza, TBS... for pizza in CA it was decent. Having the worst pizza experiences before from CA, my only expectation was that it was edible. Well this was better than most frozen pizza. We had the deluxe pizza. The flavor was mild not exciting. The crust was gummy, could have been more crispy. The veggies were large could have been diced. And the meats were okay, nothing bad, nothing special. Nothing burnt, nothing that was majorly negative. But only one guy working I am not going to harsh them. The pizza was decent.

Over priced, not at all like the one in Montrose!..disapointed!
Bland pizza. Great example of “size doesn’t matter” lol
The worst pizza we ever had! We received a hard, overcooked, and tasteless cheese pizza and the wrong flavor dressing for our salad. One of our many guests got sick and vomited. We made numerous calls to complain to the manager, Karen Harutyunyan, but was always told she was not there. We will never order from them again. This is the Pasadena Restaurant on Colorado St.
Usually go to the one in Glendale. Really disappointed with the quality in the Pasadena location. Night and day difference in quality

Never answer the phone. bad customer service. 0 STAR
just like the other reviews. I have the same complaints.
Rudest person to pick up phone had to cancel :/
Doors locked during business hours
Learn how to pick up the phone
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
No
It took nearly an hour for these idiots to deliver a simple tomato and cheese pizza. We had to eat it because we did not have more food at home but it was the worst pizza in a long time. Disgusting.
the pizza is ok but the staff really sucks those guys have no idea what there doing ....they got my order wrong ...didn't have caprses pizza ..there prices are ridiculous $6 for a small salad ...never again ....there's nothing like there Montrose location now that's good pizza
Not good. Not cheap. I can't really think of any reason to ever go back. The staff is friendly enough, but thier product is overpriced garbage, and the funny thing is they have a sign out front that says "under new ownership."
Place is joke came here today to try it out for the first time. And they are not even open.
They don't deserve a start at all worst customer service ever never got my order or a phone call which they lied about calling and refused to deliver my order after I paid for it then claimed they didn't have the address and they don't deliver over here when that's a lie they delivered before
Only ELEVEN minutes before opening hours and this older guy said "we're closed." Stop playing games dude Edited for typo (originally written 11 months beforehand)
Had a really large pizza from this resturant today. It was probably the worst restaurant pizza that I have ever eaten.
Ordered the Mafia Cake Pizza on Doordash, and was told it was unavailable. Yet they had it on their menu.
Owners of this pizza place how's your service how's your food ? I drive many places for there food.Thinking about making the trip.
Ordered a calzone over Uber Eats. There was glass in it.
They don't even deserve 1 star had me on hold for 30 minutes
Red cap one not wearing mask at all And rude to !
Have you ever tried the worst pizza you will ever taste? If not, you definitely will at this place... for the price, what you get is complete garbage, taste is bland, salty and toppings look like kibbles and bitts puppy chow... Word of caution, if your pizza delivery guy shows up dressed like an essé! Hope I spelled that right. Then you can toss out quality and zero attention to professionalism right out the door! Stay away, no actually runnaway and don't look back.........
Took my family there Sunday evening around 6:30, hours said they close at 9 p.m. We arrived at 7 p.m. and the place was already closed. And had been closed for a while
Not impressed by the service of this location. Will definitely not return to this establishment. I had placed an order over the phone and while picking up my order, I decided that I wanted to add a salad to my order. I was told I needed to preorder. I understand that due to the pandemic, services have limited, etc, but c'mon now, I'm trying to give you some business! Oh well.. not returning.
I would give them zero stars if i could. They have major health violations at this Mamas and Papas location. I ordered a pizza and calzone over the phone and when i arrived it was not close to being done, Luckily I got a chance to see how the operation is being runned. So the pizza chef there asks me to pay and i do and i sit and wait. I notice he has a huge open wound on his hand and is preparing my food and other customers food with no gloves. I also witnessed him picking up garbage and dirt on the floor then throwing it in the trash then back to digging his hands in my pizza to see if its ready. Has this guy ever heard of washing his hands or wearing gloves or a band aid over his exposed hand. I was grossed out and said i will not be taking the food. The guy new what he was doing was wrong and knew that when i mentioned everything to him. I paid with a credit card so i couldnt get a refund on the spot, he wanted to come back the next day to talk to his boss i told him im never coming back to this place. I called visa and they are getting my money back with no help from that bozo at Mamas and Papas.
I love Big Mama's and Papa's. However this location had horrible customer service. I got a call the delivery guy was at my Apartment. I went downstairs and called him. No answer. He called me back upset with me and asking if I was coming. I told him I was there and he still was rude and when giving me the pizza did not greet me but told me how where I was standing to receive my delivery was the wrong location (meanwhile I had another delivery earlier that day with zero problems). I receive the pizza, half of it didnt have cheese (no exageration) and it was under cooked. No parmeasean cheese. No crushed red peppers and the special sauce i ordered and paid for was less than half a container. Needless to say I will not order from this location again. Overall the service and food quality of this location shows a complete lack of care for their trade and their customers. If and when i do want Mamas and Papas I will be forced to visit another location from here on out.
The manager is extremely rude and had me waiting for an hour for a delivery order. The delivery was AN HOUR LATE. He treated me as if I was an irritation. Okay.... Im sorry Im taking food to customers and making you money, jerk. He didnt apologize nor offer to compensate my very patient customer. I hope I never have to deliver from there again. I don't know how the pizza is but even if it was pizza made by Jesus I wouldn't eat here. Don't support owners who hate their jobs.
The pizza is big but we are disappointed with the taste. We would have liked to find quality ingredients instead. There is a lack of investment in the preparation of pizzas. Beyond the size, I think that for 15 to 20 people it is not enough. There were 5 of us on it and could have finished it if it had been better. Plus, it's expensive for what it is. Damage...
If I could 0 stars, I would. My fiancé and I checked their website for their hours and it listed their closing at 10pm. We ordered 2 pizzas at 7pm. Fast forward an hour and we still had not gotten our pizzas. We tried calling 4 times, no answer. It was now 8:15. I decided to go to the store and see what was happening with our order. I get to the store to see that it is closed with the doors locked and lights off. The sign outside also said they closed at 10pm. I am calling in the morning to get our refund and we will never order from you again.
