Amazing Food. Service On point very attentive to what you need. The back kitchen is quick and ready for any order of egg rolls, wonton.. price is great for what you get and size. This will be on my place to come solo or bring new propel to it....mannnn might have to take a plate to GO!
The food was pretty good and the staff was good at keeping my water topped off and bringing bread. The pricing is very good. I plan on coming back.
I’ve been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and the experience was almost the same both times. Dinner has a few more options, including some different veggies. It’s a buffet style bar where you build your bowl and they cook it fresh for you. The food is great and very affordable at $16 for lunch and $22 for dinner. It also comes with rice, bread, and soup, which are great additions, especially the bread and soup. Parking is easy. They do not accept American Express. Restrooms are available but require a key and are located outside the restaurant. I would definitely come back.
A very tasty Mongolian BBQ place, reasonably priced, good variety, and very good service in front of and behind the counter. Nothing fancy in decor, but clearly popular with the locals. The extras with the order (vs our MBBQ place back home) (egg rolls, won-tons, flatbread, orange slices) were a nice touch. Would definitely come back here again if I were in the area.
Absolutely incredible Mongolian bbq. It’s one of my favorite places. I happened upon it on a trip to So Cal from Nor Cal. Been back a few times for to go. The service, especially the 1 male server is horrible, he is rude and very rushed . Prices are good 0.60/ounce. I get by the pound and extra pocket breads to eat for a few days. But, the food will keep me coming back.
I have been dining at this restaurant since the late 1970s. The food is ultra fresh & plentiful. The service is impeccable. You cannot ask for better. I come here as often as I can when I'm in the area. You can always bring people (or yourself) who have special dietary needs or restrictions & not worry about them. Or feel guilty about your food selection choices as it's all the same for everyone. And the price itself can't be beat!
Service is fast and polite. Let's be real... This place is all about ALL YOU CAN EAT. The staff will make sure to bring you more of anything... Rice, appetizers, drinks. Everything here is great. If it's your first time here I definitely suggest making a first bowl for your first try around just so you can get your ingredients and flavoring the way you like it. The one thing I will say about the food.... Pass on the soup. Don't do it. Other than that, this place is great. Enjoy being stuffed !
All you can eat in that you fill up some bowls with meats, vegetables, noodles and sauces and they cook it for you. You can also get (included) soup, appetizers like spring rolls, pocket bread, and rice. We picked what we wanted and tried to guess how much, then they cooked it in about 2min. It came out super hot. We liked what we put in and the sauces. Service was friendly and it was worth the price. If you want to take some home, it's $0.60/oz.
Not sure why I kept on hitting places where I haven't been to for a long time. I can't even remember when was the last time I ate at this place Lunch buffet, with soup and Chinese style bun, is $14.95 per person. There are 5 different meat selections: chicken, pork, turkey, beef, and lamb. Various types of veggies, as well as cooking sauce to choose to make the final product.
Greatest Mongolian BBQ in the country! I wish the owners would collaborate with me on a sandwich pop up. My recipe in stacking order: Bowl 1: - chicken (shrinks so get extra) - Beef (shrinks so get extra) - garlic - sesame oil - curry - house sauce - BBQ sauce - chili oil (to taste) Bowl 2: - mushroom - green onion - water Chestnut - white onions - Cilantro - bean sprouts - garlic - sesame oil - curry - House sauce - chili oil (to taste) - noodles (doesn't shrink so go easy) Finished plate: - dash of cumin - sesame seeds - two large spoons of rice Mix everything, bite a short edge off of the pocket bread and stuff the plate contents into the pocket bread. Enjoy!
Cleanliness: 5 stars. You serve yourself your portions of food before you hand it to the cook. The buffet area was very clean and well maintained. No food cross contamination. Someone was attentive to keep the area organized and well stocked. Staff/Service: 5 stars. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and asked if it was my first time there, it was, so I was then explained how the food is prepared and what my options were for take-away. Once seated my cup never went empty and the owner/manager made sure to ask me how my food was and if I needed anything. Food: 5 stars. Ive had my share of Mongolian beef at the mall, but the quality here surpasses that of any place Ive ever been to before. The meat, importantly, did not have any freezer burn. There were multiple options for type of meat, lots of veggies to choose from, sauces and spices. My order came with white rice, egg drop/corn soup and a sesame flatbread. It was all very delicious and fresh! All of this, including a drink during their lunch period set me back less than $20 (including tax)! I'll definitely be back!!!
Lunch special is all you can eat. Very friendly staff all around from the cooks to the cashiers and servers. Parking is both in front and in the back of this establishment. Read the signs clearly as they share the space with Sprouts and/or 7Eleven. When you arrive, they bring you egg drop soup, rice and this heavenly tasting and fluffy sesame seed flare bread that is to die for. I usually tell them to hold the soup and rice to not get full off of them and actually eat more food. I love how the staff always encourage you to eat more to get your money’s worth. If you feel bad for leaving your food behind they do offer the option to take what you have left over. They measure it by weight and charge you something like 33¢ per pound. That amount may not be accurate since the last time I came here was about 2 months ago. Overall, it is a warm and comfort food type of place.
I'm rarely disappointed in Mongolian food. Pick your own raw ingredients, put them in your bowls, choose your sauces, and a chef will cook it in front of you on a circle hotplate. They got these long spatulas to smack your food around until it's steaming hot. 1 bowl will weigh around $11. You'll need 2x bowls to fill up the big Togo box. The food is heavy tho so 1 big Togo box can feed 2 ppl. The interior has more of a chinese buffet feel. It's fairly clean. Several ppl were sprawling around tidying up. Parking is awfully small, and it competes with several other stores for space.
This is one of my favorite All You Can Eat, Mongolian barbecue spot in Pasadena. It's been here since 1978, and I've been going to it faithfully since probably 2007 because my son fell in love with it. So we used To Eat there 2 Or 3 Times a week. Great value, and they also let you take to Go Item's home or your left overs for a small fee'. Check them out
This place has been around for 47 years and their prices are better than in most places. I highly recommend it if you want some mangolian food for lung. It's all you can eat or you can pay by the ounce. It's 60 cents a ln ounce. We had the buffet and it was good 👍😊.
Finally came in to try this afternoon after having passed by forever. This place might not look like much on the outside, but it serves fresh food. If you’ve ever been to the Mongolian BBQ places at malls, it’s pretty much the same thing though AYCE. I loaded up on all the beef, lamb, and chicken I wanted with noodles and veggies. I was not aware that you could mix and match the various sauces available. Therefore, I picked BBQ, house, and sweet and sour. Definitely would come back.
My husband and I stop at this restaurant every time that we're in LA. The style of the building from the outside and inside isn't anything that impressive, but the staff is always quick to help, friendly, and make sure everything is stocked well. The bowls they give to put in your stir fry ingredients are generous and the food is done pretty quickly. It's a great place to stop for lunch.
I cant stand a restaurant that has canned soda. This place has become one of those places. Food is good but that unlimited soda is a deal breaker.
The meat was so hard to eat. The bread was delicious. The price was $13.95 per person. But the owner over charged us . We are 4 people and the bill was $72.45. It should be total of $55.80 i even gave them a tip 18% . I feel very cheated due to cheating on my bill. I will not go back again. Everyone please look at your bill before leaving your table.
I used to work close to this restaurant and always enjoyed it. But going back today I was a little disappointed. The service as well as the food has suffered a lot. A couple manages the entire floor and although they do a good job it is just that a job. They were borderline rude not just to us but to other people, they demanded from customers they were bothered when you asked for something, they were very short when it came to answering questions, and the lady even thru down the menu at our table. I understand that they are over worked but at the end we are the customer paying for their food. The food has also suffered: the cooks put too much soy sauce and the food is over done. They add tap water to the food which takes away the sauce flavors. The meats are frozen so turn tough once cooked. Over all not happy with neither the service or the food which is very disappointing.
I visited Golden Palace Mongol’s B-B-Q today with my 11-year-old daughter expecting a normal family dining experience. The issue was not the price of the food, but the way we were treated. My daughter was charged an adult buffet price based solely on her height, even though she had only a very small portion of food — a few noodles, tofu, and a couple pieces of meat. I politely explained that she barely ate and that I wanted to avoid wasting food, so I asked if we could instead pay by weight for take-out. Although the request was reasonable, the employee’s attitude immediately changed and we were treated in an unfriendly and uncomfortable manner. As a parent, I try to teach my child respect and not to waste food, so the experience felt disappointing and unnecessary. The food itself was fine, but kindness and customer service matter just as much. I hope management reviews how staff communicate policies and treat families in situations like this.
